Okay one of my best friends is finally watching bones and I simply must share some highlights with the bones tag because I am SO READY to see this play out!

A scene from the TV Show Bones (Season 2, Episode 19). Angela Montenegro and Jack Hodgins are at a fancy restaurant having dinner.

Jack has a smile on his face while he says, "I'm madly in love with you, Angela, and you are the most amazing woman that I have ever met."

As he's speaking, Angela goes from smiling to a confused and shocked face. Jack keeps going, "My life is so much better since..." but Angela interrupts with a "Oh my God". Jack stops talking and looks at her, lost. "What?" he says. "Are you breaking up with me?" questions Angela, slightly raising her voice due to the shock.

Jack looks confused as he wonders, "Why would I get you all dressed up for dinner just to break up?" Angela breaks eye-contact, thinking for a second, before saying in a defeated voice "I don't know". She lets out a weak laugh. "Because you're... I'm not thinking straight. Go ahead."

Hodgins has a smile back on his face: "I had this all laid out in my mind. You are an upsetting woman." Angela replies, "I'm sorry" and Jack looks down to his plate, chuckling. "Please go ahead," she encourages, smiling. Jack looks at her lovingly and readjusts himself in his seat.

Angela offering for Hodgins to stay with her in Aliens in a Spaceship, so he can wake up and see her and know he's safe and not buried alive again is just. so. the vulnerability of it all. the idea that, more than likely, their first night together wasn't sexual, but was rather about comfort and closeness--for both of them, because you know she was scared, too.
