@kassiekolchek22 @delurkr @mistmoose @lonnitamongus @ivycross @maria-rayro @oblivious-troll-main @ultrabananapudding After going over the government experiment vampiric Manny Sherman lore I figured I should throw together a quick thing of his appearance and mention some of the differences between these artificially produced vampires and the naturally occurring ones(continued under cut)

Firstly Sherman isn't technically undead because he never died, his discoloration is due to previous experimentation and the fact that being the first success means it could definitely have been a smoother process

Visually there's not losing his eyebrows and pale thin scars marking wear his horns would come through(they were carved before he fully turned and remain visible)

Still warm, like I said he's not dead so a lot of those normal alive things are still functional, tho a lot are damaged due to previous experimentation(I leave it up to you just what level of "human functions" is going on here but he doesn't eat solids)

Still has the heightened strength and senses of the hoa vampire, retains speech but minimally(would be fixed in future experiments) loses a large part of what vampire horns are for socially meaning the empathetic recognition thing that I headcanon vampires get from horn contact, that and the more calming effect so vampire kisses is pure sensory information and again do with that information what you will(this deficiency could come down to Sherman having no soul to begin with lol)

Sun weakness is down graded to a sun intolerance so it hurts like hell but is less deadly(du'met's rain coat should be enough)

I'm still unclear how the process of infection happens with these government vampires and maybe I would if I read the fics on the matter but I'll assume it still retains an oral component like the original parasite transfers mouth to mouth

So in light of fast Du'met I think it's safe to say that his more similar to the ancient one than not in his mannerisms/movement(I mean maybe a little more refined)

So I'm declaring that his behavior wouldn't change if he became a hoa vampire, he already doesn't speak(he'd probably be quiter than the average humanoid vampire tho)

He's just need to stay out of the sun, I wonder if his raincoat has enough coverage

I didn’t realise ^ that scene existed and i think its one of the only times Du’Met actually moves quickly and by god is he intimidating like I think if he ran the entire game it’d be an unsurvivable 1hr long terror filled stealth game lmao

That would've made a pretty fun game on its own. X'D Just turning a corner and he just bolts after you.

Some time after the trials the reverend fell ill and no longer came out of his home during the day. A neighbor claims to have seen him going for an evening stroll in the woods a few nights back, he was far off and they hadn't a chance to ask after his health. He must still be troubled by the evil he bravely purged from their community. So a well meaning villager decides there's nothing for it but to make sure he's eating properly, off they go with all sorts of foods that their mother used to make when they weren't feeling well, determined to help...

They succeeded at delivering Carver a proper meal although the food remained untouched and the villager was never heard from again
