Shonn Elans: "Welcome to the hottest show in the galaxy, where stars from every corner come to take on the ultimate challenge!"
Each week, I sit down with the galaxy’s most intriguing figures. They’ll face ten rounds of Nuna Wings, each round escalating in intensity as we eat our way from the mild spice plains of Naboo to the scorching fires of Mustafar. But this isn’t just a test of Force-fired fortitude. With each wing, I’ll ask our guests questions that dive deep into their minds and memoirs. We'll uncover never-before-heard stories, laugh through the tears, and maybe, just maybe, watch them reach for the saving grace of our famously frosty Blue Milk.
Catch us on the Holonet this Taungsday as we turn up the heat on Captain Fordo
May the Sauce be with you!
(Insp: @arc-77)

hnn i think the thing about good omens, other than it naturally attracting fujos who dont really care how much actual representation there is, n also people who have their bar so low that saying ‘they’re gay’ in promo material when they don’t do anything actually gay in the entire show isn’t gaybaiting since they’re used to stuff like supernatural...
is like so many people who aren’t asexual just write off the complete lack of actual (real, actual) representation as ‘oh well they’re asexual’
like.... i can’t make it clear enough that even in the book, crowley and aziraphale did touch each other more. there were plenty of scenes of them gripping each other’s shoulders supportively, they hold hands in a scene as they go to fight the devil (not hold hands between a child, they hold each other’s hands), and at the end they share a bottle of wine by drinking directly from the bottle and wiping off their spit and handing it to the other. Like there were things in there that MADE people ship them. And like they were all removed for the series where they were supposedly ‘in love.’ they make less contact with each other in love than in the version where they’re platonic friends.
it’s not about being asexual. asexual people can hold hands. neil gaiman removing all of that, making money off the show promoting it as ‘good omens but they’re gay this time,’ and then deflecting all criticism as ‘oh they’re asexual’ is a problem. i wish more people talked about it being gay baiting because that’s 150% what it is, people are just so used to the gaybaiting being covert that they don’t see it when it’s shoved in their face.
what’s the gayest part of good omens? where they get mistaken as a gay couple as a joke? where crowley pins aziraphale against a wall to physically threaten him? like.......................brah

Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction... The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort... It breaks, it leaks....
STAR WARS: HOLONET, SEASON 2, EPISODE 5: "MANIFESTO" (GRAPHIC NOVEL ADAPATION)
In a heart-wrenching episode, Deena Tharen faces her deepest fears and desires when unforeseen circumstances force her and Rush Darkburst (@worldwearyjedi) to temporarily part ways. As the galaxy watches, Deena grapples with the public and personal fallout of their separation. With Rush gone, Deena’s broadcasts become tinged with a newfound earnestness, revealing cracks in her Imperial facade. Deena confronts the stark reality of her emotions, acknowledging too late the depth of her love for Rush. This episode blends intense personal drama with the broader political intrigues of the Star Wars saga marking a pivotal turn in the series.

HOLONET NEWS PROMOTIONAL SNIPPET HoloNot (OOC) What started out as an idea to make a nice and simple VFX shot of Coruscant from space, transitioning between day and night, somehow devolved into this. It's sort of an in-universe "sizzle reel" for HNN. Naturally, if I was doing this for real, I would try harder, but I thought it would be more interesting to add some things over my VFX shot rather just have the sun orbiting Coruscant endlessly.

REPULSORED - The Holonet's fastest speeder and repulsorcraft show, brought to you by Aratech Repulsors.
This week, Holonet News' Deena Tharen gets up-close and personal with our newly unveiled 311-AvA speeder bike.
Disclaimer: The following article is a collaborative effort between Aratech Repulsors and Deena Tharen. Aratech Repulsors provided the 311-AvA speeder bike to Deena Tharen for the purpose of review and analysis. It is important to note that whilst the bike was received without charge, this partnership does not influence the objectivity or integrity of the review. We asked Deena to approach this evaluation with the same scrutiny and meticulousness that defines her work. Her observations and insights are a result of her experience and analytical approach, and her opinions are her own.
Aratech has been talking about constructing a sporty speeder bike for The Core markets for years - perhaps even decades. Even so, all we've really gotten out of them so far has been excuses.
Until today.
This, ladies and gentle-beings, is the 311-AvA-J. Despite the continuation of the AvA moniker, let's make it clear from the outset that the 311 stands apart from its predecessors. Just as Beskar steel stands distinct from conventional alloys, the 311-AvA is a wholly different machine to its Lothalian-made brethren.
Gone are the days of ear-piercing roars and jolting rides. The 311-AvA purrs as it glides through the troposphere, enveloping you in a cocoon of calm while your heart races in anticipation. And when you open up the throttle, trust me, you'll feel the Force like never before.
But, let's be honest, speed isn't just about going fast – it's about feeling the ride. The 311-AvA isn't just a mechanical marvel; it's an extension of your will. The balance is uncanny – the controls are intuitive, responsive, and yes, even sexy – the 311-AvA responds with the precision of a Jedi's lightsaber, carving through the air like a hyperspace jump. Whether you're threading through the bustling streets of Coruscant or taking the scenic route around the lakes of Naboo the 311-AvA doesn't just carry you; it partners with you.
Trim levels offer a spectrum of choice – H, I, and yes, you guessed it, the J. The 311-AvA's price point ensures accessibility for various enthusiasts across the galaxy. The J variant, as I have received, is truly a force to be reckoned with, it sets its own standard and therefore is available accordingly at a price that resonates with the value of its astronomical innovations. Or, 25,000Cr, to you or I.
What sets the J apart, you ask? If you venture beneath the gleaming exterior, you'll be sure to uncover it... The pulsating heart of the 311-AvA. An Aratech powerplant of 6.2 terawatts roars to life, resonating with a formidable force of 490bhp and 465lb ft of torque, propelling this speeder bike with the intensity of a star's eruption.
Beyond the engine, numerous modifications have transformed it into a powerhouse. With a wider frame, reminiscent of the wing panels on a starfighter, the J exudes a presence that demands attention. Tuned damping geometry and additional downforce make it a true contender on the track, this machine can easily give a swoop bike a run for its money.
So, should you join the ranks of the 311-AvA enthusiasts? Without a doubt.
Aratech Repulsors has delivered a speeder bike that isn't just an object of desire; it's a vessel of experience. The 311-AvA isn't just about reaching a destination; it's about the journey itself.
It's about feeling the wind, hearing the hum of repulsors, and sharing a nod with fellow speed enthusiasts who recognize the bond forged between rider and machine.
And you'll look damn good doing it too. Deena Tharen, for Repulsored.

BATTLEFRONT II FEATURETTE:
Audiences know actor Megan Boone from her gripping portrayal of imperilled Holonet Reporter Deena Tharen in Star Wars: Holonet. Now, they can play as her, in Star Wars Battlefront II.
"Deena is a character that's very close to my heart, and seeing her in Battlefront II, stepping into a more action-oriented role, it's an exciting shift! It's a side of her that viewers of the Holonet series get glimpses of, but now players will get to explore her abilities and resilience on a whole new level.
Deena's journey has always been one of resilience and courage. She starts as a dedicated Holonet reporter, committed to uncovering the truth in a galaxy where doing so can be a death sentence. As the series progresses, the stakes become higher, not just for the galaxy but for Deena personally. We see her being targeted by the Empire, losing loved ones, and having to make choices that push her far beyond her comfort zone.
This evolution is a testament to her strength and her belief in fighting for what's right, even when it's dangerous. Her growth into someone who can handle a blaster as deftly as she handles her words was gradual but necessary, showing that in the face of tyranny, even those who aren't born warriors can become heroes.
Deena's intelligence and tenacity are her core traits, and her determination is reflected in how she faces challenges head-on, whether it's navigating through warzones to get her story or standing her ground in a firefight.
Whilst the series has shown Deena wielding a blaster occasionally, we're about to see a lot more of that in Battlefront II. Battlefront really showcases a side of Deena that we've only begun to scratch the surface of in the series. It's a glimpse into a path she could have taken had certain events played out differently. The game propels her into the action-hero role that her journey hints at, giving players the chance to explore her combat skills and strategic mind in a direct, hands-on way.
In the series, Deena's encounters with danger are often circumstantial, a result of her relentless pursuit of the truth. In Battlefront II, we see what happens when she takes this fight to the next level, actively engaging in battles against the Empire. It's a reflection of her growth and her ability to stand up as a fighter in her own right, showcasing how the challenges she's faced have prepared her for this moment."

Star Wars: Holonet, Series 1, Episode 1 "Deena Tharen" - Conceptual Opening Sequence.
[The screen is engulfed in the vast, silent expanse of space, stars scattered like diamonds across the black canvas. Center frame, the spherical majesty of Coruscant dominates, a beacon of light and civilization against the backdrop of the galaxy. The camera fixates on the planet, a momentary pause to let the viewer soak in the awe-inspiring sight of this world from orbit. As it begins its descent, the stark contrast between the day and night halves of Coruscant comes into focus. On one side, the planet is ablaze with the golden hues of daylight, the sun casting its glow over sprawling cities and vast oceans. On the other, the night side is a symphony of lights, a testament to the never-sleeping urban sprawl, with luminescent veins crisscrossing the darkened landscape. The camera moves closer, slicing through the thin veil of atmosphere, where the blue sky meets the darkness of space in a breathtaking vista. Clouds swirl over the megacity, casting fleeting shadows over the endless arrays of buildings and structures that define Coruscant's surface. As we zoom further in, the sheer scale of the urban environment becomes apparent, with skyscrapers that pierce the clouds and airborne speeders darting between them, their trails briefly illuminating the sky. The transition from the serene beauty of the planet from orbit to the bustling activity of its surface is seamless, highlighting the duality of Coruscant—its role as a center of galactic governance and its identity as a living, breathing entity, home to countless stories and secrets. It's against this dynamic backdrop that Deena Tharen’s voice begins to narrate, introducing the viewer to the vibrant heart of the galaxy.]
