I think it’s interesting that the Captain loves Gilbert and Sullivan so much because not only is it musical theatre, but I e noticed there are some common themes in most Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. (Especially the ones Cap mentions, The Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado)

The Pirates of Penzance (as well as HMS Pinafore) focus on themes of forbidden love, in PoP it’s because the main character is a pirate. In HMSP it’s due to class differences.

I can imagine a young Cap, wondering why the feelings he’s having towards other boys is so frowned upon. And seeing those concerns reflected in the opera.

The Mikado is a satirical take on capital punishment, the crime in the opera that’s punishable by death is flirting. Now, I’m not saying Gilbert intended that to be some Victorian commentary on gay rights; but being sentenced to death for loving someone is not an exclusively heterosexual problem.

The fact that the Captain (along with Fanny) canonically praised the opera for it’s comedy regarding this theme kind of says a lot about him. He puts up this front of a stiff upper lip perfect English gentleman but reality he despises the establishment of his era.

The last thing I want point out is that (as far as I know) every Gilbert and Sullivan opera ends with a happy ending. The forbidden lovers manage to beat the system via some sort of loophole and they get to live happily ever after.

I think the Captain loves these operas so much because he gets to see people who cannot love who they want to due to an oppressive system; people like him, receive the happy ending he wishes he could have.

He gets to have second-hand queer euphoria along with catchy songs and funny jokes, all while presenting himself as socially acceptable. And I think he deserves that happiness.

Inilah saham jawara di kuartal III menurut proyeksi analis

Inanews – Menjelang akhir bulan, tepatnya kuartal tiga ini, ada sepuluh saham yang menunjukkan eksistensi posisinya di deretan sepuluh besar transaksi saham se-Indonesia di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data yang dihimpun Kontan.co.id menunjukkan, hingga Senin (24/9) saham-saham ini jarang terdengar bahkan mampu menembus bursa dengan kenaikan transaksi sahamnya. Adapun emiten tersebut adalah TCPI, RISE, ABBA,AKSI, POLL, RIGS, MAIN, MAPA, SONA dan SHID. Padahal, kalau boleh melihat beberapa pekan lalu, saham HMSP dan UNVR mampu menjadi saham penekan indeks. “Saham-saham ini tidak likuid dan tak IPO. Bisa naik menjadi jawara karena Ditengah-tengah ketidakpastian atau perang dagang AS maupun China memicu kelesuan akan ekspor Indonesia dimana pelaku pasar tengah dibebani dengan melonjaknya mata uang dollar AS," jelas Bertoni Rio, Senior Analyst Research Division Anugerah Sekuritas Indonesia kepada Kontan.co.id, Senin (24/9). Tak hanya itu adanya pembatasan barang-barang impor, dan potensi suku bunga Indonesia naik seiring The Fed akan turut menaikkan suku bunga lagi menjadi sentimen global cukup tinggi. Ini memicu pendapatan emiten pun mengalami penurunan dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya dan diperkirakan kinerja emiten akan tumbuh stagnan. Bertoni juga menyimpulkan bahwa melihat APBN Indonesia 2018, dimana dollar AS diestimasi sebesar Rp 13.400/dollar AS, estimasi tersebut menjadi dasar emiten memproyeksi laba bersih. Namun saat ini rupiah terhadal depresiasi hingga 11% di Rp 14.900 per dollar Amerika Serikat. “Belum pelemahan dollar pun bisa mempengaruhi turunnya pendapatan, meningkatnya beban operasional maupun meningkatnya beban keuangan emiten, secara fundamental kinerja tahun turun dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Kenaikan dari saham-saham cenderung faktor teknikal dimana kondisi jenuh jual terjadi,” ujarnya. Melihat sepuluh saham jawara ini, Bertoni berpendapat bahwa secara fundamental faktor global akan menjadi pemberat kinerja emiten maksimal atau jauh dari target kinerja tahun sebelumnya. “Kinerja emiten pertambangan batu bara maupun pertambangan juga consumer good yang sifatnya ekspor berpeluang bertahan atau stagnan. Bisa beli saham yang koreksi harga dibawah target price atau manfaatkan ketegangan AS dengan China,” sebutnya. Bertoni menyebut bagi investor direkomendasikan mempertimbangkan secara teknikal emiten yang terkoreksi. Sehingga waktu membeli disarankan untuk emiten yang dibeli dalam jangka waktu pendek atau menengah. Menurut Bertoni, saham jawara di kuartal tiga tidaklah likuid, maka yang disarankan dibeli adalah saham likuid seperti ADRO Rp 2100, INCO Rp 4100, PTBA Rp 5000, ITMG Rp 30000, ANTM Rp 1000, dan TINS Rp 900. PT SOLID GOLD BALI – Tahun depan, perekonomian domestik diproyeksi akan pulih. Kepala riset Yuanta Sekuritas Chandra Pasaribu mengatakan, selama ini fundamental perekonomian sudah dijaga dengan baik oleh pelaku pasar dan pemerintah.

Sehingga, pondasi dasar pemulihan ekonomi pun sudah tercipta. Nantinya, mobilitas masyarakatlah yang akan berpengaruh besar terhadap seberapa kencang laju  pemulihan ekonomi. “Jadi secara garis besar kami cukup optimistis untuk tahun 2022 secara umum,” terang Chandra kepada Kontan.co.id, Minggu (19/12).

Namun, Chandra menilai, secara jangka pendek khususnya pada Januari 2022, masih banyak tantangan yang dihadapi pasar saham, terutama dari potensi kenaikan Fed rate yang lebih awal dari ekspektasi, sehingga mempengaruhi sentimen secara negatif. Dus, Chandra menilai, January effect kemungkinan kecil akan terjadi.

Di sisi lain, Bank Indonesia (BI) dinilai masih punya amunisi untuk tidak menaikkan suku bunga di awal tahun 2022 karena adanya surplus neraca perdagangan, cadangan devisa, dan inflasi yang rendah.

Jikalau memang diperlukan, kenaikan suku bunga mungkin  hanya bersifat incremental untuk menjaga daya saing rupiah. Namun, secara umum, Chandra menilai pertahanan rupiah sekarang ini masih cukup baik

Dus, saham yang cocok dicermati di awal tahun depan lebih kepada emiten yang bersifat recovery play atau yang fundamentalnya kuat, seperti PT Jasa Marga Tbk ( JSMR), PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) dan PT Astra International Tbk (ASII).

Lalu ada PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), dan PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI)

Direktur Avere Investama, Teguh Hidayat melihat, harga saham-saham saat ini, baik yang big caps maupun small caps, rata-rata masih berada di bawah harga akhir tahun lalu.

Meskipun Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) sudah naik, namun sejumlah saham seperti ASII, PGAS, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR), dan PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) pergerakannya masih cenderung terlambat.

“Kenaikan IHSG yang tidak terlalu banyak ini, lebih ditopang oleh saham-saham tertentu dan tidak mewakili seluruh pasar,” terang Teguh.

Teguh menilai, ke depan pasar saham juga minim sentiment negative. Salah satu sentimen negatif memang datang dari penyebaran varian covid omicron. Namun, sejauh ini, Omicron memang lebih mudah menyebar namun gejalanya jauh lebih ringan.

“Di luar tapering, potensi kenaikan suku bunga AS, dan omicron, saya rasa tidak ada lagi sentimen negatif. Saya melihat pasar cukup positif,” pungkas Teguh.

Sementara itu, Chandra menilai omicron adalah suatu yang tidak dapat dihindari. Hanya saja nampaknya pemerintah cukup efektif dalam menangani Covid-19 secara umum. Jadi, seharusnya omicron ini menyebabkan setback sementara, seperti pada saat gelombang kedua Covid-19 yang terjadi pada pertengahan tahun ini.

Sejauh ini program vaksinansi terus digenjot merupakan langkah yang tepat, apalagi tahun depan semakin terbuka untuk melakukan booster shot berbayar. PT SOLID GOLD.
