Gonna go wild and throw this out here imagine Cult of the Lamb FEH AU where the summoner is the lamb(or whatever animal you like honestly!) and it plays out very similarly to the actual intro of the game where ‘we’ (the summoner) are summoned by the god Askr.

Though the Dragon(Bull?) comes off a little strong and starts speaking to you through your mind in a tongue your once human ears aren’t accustomed to hearing - - while also reeling from the sudden summoning - - so being understandably dazed and frantic you run off, but before making it too far and gathering your bearings you’re captured and intended to be used as the final sacrifice by some ragtag cultists hoping to get in good graces with the fell god Embla, though before anything can be completed you’re saved by Askr.

And after being saved and given adequate time to process what has just happened, the god gives you two things. The first, a blessed cloak and hood, by wearing this item are you able to understand the language of this world. And second, a sacred artifact, one he calls Breidablik, that was once full of divine power meant to bring peace, but now a victim to time. The god is solemn when he tells you that despite your transfer into a new world and rescue from the cultists, the poor god is at the end of his strength, his life is almost spent. His bringing you here was a last ditch effort to have someone listen to his pleas.

He tells you of a kingdom that is fighting a losing battle against the same people that almost killed you. The Askran kingdom is on it’s last leg and the Emblian empire is wasting no time in wearing their forces thin. Askr is desperate and earnest when he pleads for your help, says, ‘That you must be the one. When I extended my powers and searched for someone to take my hand, you did. Only one with an open heart could have made it here.’ .

That really is as far as I’ve gotten plot wise! But there’s a million ways that things could go and be developed! ^^ Maybe Askr has a means of communicating with the Askran royal family and has told them to expect ‘A new ally’. Maybe the Summoner comes across Alfonse, Sharena, or Anna struggling to hold off some enemies and helps them out and one thing leads to another and boom! You are now part of the Askran kingdom defense squad! <:) (The Order of Heroes!)

Maybe it’s a situation in which a gods powers are dependent on the amount of those who are devoted to them, and in turn that power is what keeps said nations and even its royal families healthy and safe!(Something something gods imbuing royal families with their blood so the fate of the god affects those who were blessed as well) So the Askran kingdom as well as its royal family really are in need of some help!🥺

Please excuse the rambling I had an idea and absolutely went wild with it😔

I saw this list and thought it would be fun to give it a go!!

1) Fic that's made you laugh the most

He May Be The Reason by @c-goldthorn. It's a Clegan Notting Hill au and it makes me squeal with delight. So cute that I got distracted while reading it and missed my stop on the train.

2) A fic that made you cry

my kingdom for a kiss upon your shoulder by pillar of our community @swifty-fox. I'm sure most ppl have probably read this one but it's such an amazing post-show continuation that really doesn't pull it's punches when it comes to both PTSD and the realities of being gay in the 40s

3) Fave comfort, silly fic

It's a little rogue but I'm gonna say Awake, Alive by the wonderful @whirlpool-blogs. It's a pet sematary au so not exactly what you would call traditionally comforting but the ending makes me so happy and the whole thing is just a joy. The fact that this came to mind when I thought 'comfort fic' is probably pretty telling about me as a person....

4) The fic that made you try a genre or trope that you don't usually read

This is also a bit rogue but it was tricky since I'll read anything, so I'll go with Strings of the Strings of Life by the lovely @weimarweekly, not because of any of the content but because I don't, as a general rule, read Dune fic that was written after Dune 2 released. I've bored everyone to tears with my complaints about that version of Feyd but it is what it is so I tend not to like any fics written about that version of the character BUT the prospect of a feydpaul Berlin techno au was too delicious to resist and the whole fic is so fun. It makes me miss Germany sooo bad.

5) An author who has inspired your own fic writing

This one has got to go to the anonymous author of both Close And Yet Closer and The Replacement. Both of these fics are god tier and their character psychology and willingness to allow their versions of the characters and relationships to be ugly and messy are so inspiring to me. They were also the first person in the John/Hausman tag on ao3 which is currently just me and them. I think about the replacement all the time and it was a HUGE influence on 3am Eternal. If I can ever write half as well as them I will die happy.

6) What are your fave underdog authors? Those that you feel are underappreciated and deserve a bit more love

Hmmm, this is kinda hard cus the MOTA fandom is pretty small so I feel like a lot of stuff gets decent buzz. Imma shout out @whirlpool-blogs again and especially their fucked up clegans fics, I have read and reread all of their works and they're always so so good. I will also add @steeseman for Up In Our Bedroom. It's another great post-canon fic and while it has a lot of hits, I don't think I've seen anyone talking about it on here.

7) What's one thing you wish writers/readers did more of when it comes to fanfiction.

The obvious one is comment, it really does make my day when I get a nice comment, even just a couple words or an emoji mean a lot. The other thing I would say is writing curt/Kenny fic, there's not much out there and I want more please. Also more fics where characters relationships are like genuinely kind of fucked up and toxic. I love that shit.

8) What's one thing you wish writers/readers did less of when it comes to fanfiction.

Oh man, I really do not know. The only thing I can think of is that I hate the word 'yap' or 'yapping' so if I see it in a fic I shudder. Hmmmm, I guess I also wish that there was a little more consideration when writing Gale's dad as an alcoholic because it's often treated as the basis for him being a shitty person. Addicts aren't automatically bad people and I sometimes feel like it's portrayed that way. @blixabargelds wrote an excellent post on this

9) I'm adding an extra one and that is current WIPs I am reading

Sympathy For The Devil by @blixabargelds, it's a modern ghost hunting AU and the set up is AMAZING. I will also throw Superstar in here even though it's not releasing main story chapters yet, everything Frankie writes is so tailored to my personal tastes it's crazy and I am so excited to read @mildharm's John POV chapters too. Literally foaming at the mouth thinking about it rn. When it starts being released fully, I fear it may kill me.

Love Song From A Dog and The Heart Is A Muscle by @swifty-fox. I've only just started THIAM but I'm so hyped for their take on the tattoo shop/flower shop au.

Hit Me Where The Heart Is by @london-cowboy makes me legitimately insane. I jump for joy whenever there is a new update, these versions of the characters and their stories are, as Paris Hilton would say, beyond. I do not have the words to say how much I am loving this fic. The characters and setting feel so real and it's just so creative. AMAZING.

I need to get around to starting let us not desert one another; we are an injured body and also the time skip fic whose name escapes me by @irregularcollapse and also catching up with @weimarweekly's rodeo fic, Looking For Eight

I snuck in a little more context from my writing share I posted this week, but there are still so many questions. Hmmmm 🤔🧞‍♂️✨

“NOAH!!” Ali wrapped his strong arms around the man he loved, collapsing onto him and the bed in relief and happiness as he cried tears of joy. He openly sobbed as his chest trembled in anxiety, calming his tears with gentle kisses on Noah’s forehead as he whispered between each one: “Mashallah!! Mashallah!! Mashall-ah!!”

“Ali….w-what’s going on?” Noah blushed at all the sweet kisses, wincing a bit when he felt a hand gently massage the back of his head. “W-what happened?”

I - from an unnammed fic I'm working on for Halloween - the scooby gang hold a fake seance in order to raise money for Crystal's rent in Port Townsend (takes place between episodes 4 and 5)

"I’ve got to agree with Edwin on this one. As far as case payment goes, a properly singing tea kettle is pretty mint. We’d have to be completely mental to pass it up for a mess of pocket change, or a tenner, or whatever the next undead bloke might have in his pockets. But—” he held up a hand, halting her interjection— “we’ll find another way to get you money before rent’s due, yeah? Between the three of us, I’m sure we can sort something out.” He gave Edwin a stern glare. “Right, Edwin?”

Hey thanks for answering my ask! Yeah I agree, I think dealing with soul ownership in a body swap fic in this particular universe is a bit tricky.

How I view it is that the owner has ownership over the sinners body, but not their mind. So if Angel and Alastor swapped bodies, I imagine that Valentino is still able to force Angel's body/Alastor to do whatever, but he can't force Alastor to tell him anything he doesn't want to reveal.

He can't force Alastor to tell him a secret. But he can force Angel, who is in Alastor's body, to tell him a secret.

As for how this works if someone swapped with Valentino? I honestly I have no idea. I would assume they would still have ownership over whoever Valentino owns, but I definitely think it doesn't feel the same. It's kinda like a glitch? Idk, this is just how I personally view body swapping and soul ownership.

I know you said that you're not gonna focus on the 666 universe, which is like, extremely valid because a body swap is already pretty plot intensive, never mind adding the whole 666 dynamic into it!

But..... after I sent in this ask I couldn't quite get this idea out of my head, as it kept spiraling and spiraling as I kept thinking, "well, what if this happens...." "and what if what happens after that" "oh! That's pretty interesting, what if it happened...."

So after many "what ifs" I word vomited all of my Thoughts into my notes app. So why not share them here (maybe then the "what ifs" will stop tormenting me)

Expanding on this a little more on the idea of this body swap happening in the 666 live on air series. (With Vox and Valentino switching, and Angel and Alastor switching bodies)

I imagine that for Vox, being Valentino isn't all that difficult. In his introduction episode we see that Vox is actually really good at manipulating people and putting up an act to get what he wants (for example, when he's annoyed at Valentino but convinces him not to go to the Hotel and pick a fight with Charlie).

There's also the fact that Vox knows Valentino rather well, so I bet he knows all his little mannerisms and how to act like him. I bet he also knows what a typical day shoot looks like, as Valentino talks about them enough for Vox to pick up the basics, and Vox is so plugged into the internet that he must know what's popular in the porn industry at any given time.

Plus I could see Vox viewing it as a good opportunity to improve Valentino's image. Val is so difficult to control on a normal day, but now making sure that Val acts "perfect" is eaiser than ever.

That's not to say that I think this whole situation isn't stressing Vox out, it definitely is. It's one thing for him to be controlling Valentino's body, but another one entirely for Valentino to be controlling his. Now he has to work double time making sure that he appears the same as Valentino, while also making sure Val isn't fucking up Voxtek.

(Not to mention that Valentino is fucking blind and Vox has to put so much brain power into not bumping into everything)

When the day of the shoot with "Angel Dust" comes up, he thinks that Angel is lucky because for once he's going to have a "Valentino" that's too busy to get involved in the scene. As he picked out a random scene list from the pile and is half distracted with texting Val instructions on what to do regarding Voxtek to really pay him much attention.

Now switching over to Alastor and Angel's side; tbh I don't have as many thoughts on the two's thought process, or how exactly they handle the whole "Valentino owns Angel's soul, but Alastor is in his body so while technically he doesn't own Alastor, he can puppet the body he's currently inhabiting".

But I imagine that Angel will insist on tagging along with Alastor to a shoot. (If Angel is actually like, contractually forced to attend shoots, because I can totally see the two of them faking an accident or something to get Alastor out of it until the gang figures out a way to reverse the body swap)

But for now the two worlds intersect as "Angel" and "Alastor" are in the studio with "Valentino".

Vox has literally no idea why Alastor is here, and while a part of him is always pleased to see him (or, the vague shape that he sees of Alastor through Val's eyes), he knows that Valentino wouldn't be impressed to see him and tries to shoo him out the door and get the shoot underway so he can get back to running two businesses at once.

Something, something, Vox finally clues in that Angel and Alastor has switched bodies

(which is really a combination of factors: "Angel" being weirdly hesitant to start the scene, and acting in a way that's weirdly familiar, while "Alastor" acting totally foreign.

With the tipping point being that the weird way the soul contract is feeling, since "he" technically owns Angel's soul, that's not currently in his body but Alastor's, and him also owning Angel's body, which doesn't have his soul in it. Idk, I just imagine that the body swap reacts weirdly with body swaps. Plus there's the fact that he also swapped bodies with Valentino, so he's more inclined to automatically believe a body swap.)

And this is when the real panic sets in for Vox because he knows that "Angel" (Alastor) can't actually perform the shoot because he knows that Alastor wouldn't be comfortable with that and he's actually starting to care about Alastor, while also being acutely aware that they're in "public", or at least, in company who will absolutely take out their phones and record the trio if they start acting off.

So Vox very much wants to grab Angel/Alastor and shove him into an empty room and ask what the fuck is going on, but both Angel and Alastor aren't really comfortable with the idea of "Valentino" taking "Angel" into a private room, especially when he seems agitated.

So there's this rising point of tension where Vox really just wants to talk to "Angel" in private, and the actual Angel is starting to get really stressed that Valentino is getting more and more angry because he knows what Val is like when he's angry. But he doesn't want Alastor alone with him, while also wanting to do what "Valentino" is saying to hopefully calm him down.

And Alastor, who doesn't want to be alone with "Valentino" because he knows, or can take a pretty good guess, of what's going to happen behind closed doors (which is wrong because he hasn't put together the pieces that Vox is in Valentino's body), and is going against "Valentino" because he's pissing him off.

I can also see Alastor thinking "well, I do kinky stuff with Vox, what's so different this time? It's not like people know it's me" and thus is trying to start the shoot because he believes that it's "safer" (he also wants to piss off Valentino by not listening to him, and he's once again bitting off more than he can chew with his hubris on full display).

While both Vox and Angel really don't want Alastor to start the shoot because they know what actually goes on during one, and can guess that Alastor won't be comfortable, and wouldn't really have a way to stop it without seeming "out of character".

And Vox really just wants to talk to Alastor in private, because people are starting to whisper and he can see hands going towards phones. So a part of him wants to use the stupid contract to get Alastor alone, but he also knows that Alastor would hate that and that could destroy the relationship they've been carefully building up.

So in the middle of all of this rising tension, Vox eventually is just like "fuck it!" And physically grabs both Angel and Alastor and shoves them into a empty dressing room. And is like "hey what the fuck are you doing?!" And explains the whole body swap fiasco on his side.

I'm not quite sure how the rest of the scene goes. But I definitely think the tension breaks once everything is explained. With Vox possibly playing up roughing up "Angel" behind the closed door and stating that he "sent the whore home" or something to get Alastor out of the shoot.

Anyway, this was really supposed to be a quick "hey, wouldn't that be interesting" that kinda spiraled. Idk, maybe I'll make a "inspired by" fic and actually write this fic, because obviously I have ideas, lol. If I have permission to write the fic, of course, I feel a little bad about writing something based in a fic series I didn't write.

Idk, it feels a little weird to take a dynamic (from the 666 series) and swipe it. So I'll probably just continue to rotate the Thoughts and Ideas in my head as I've been doing lol.

Anyway, thanks for reading my long rambles once again, maybe now that the thoughts have been released they will finally let me be Free lol.

Ohhh I love a good body swap!

I love how there's some really good angst potential (like basically anyone swapping with Angel), and also comedy (Alastor and Vox, the Vees, etc).

I also like to imagine that there's multiple body swaps going around at once, just because I think it would be even more chaotic. Like, for example, maybe Alastor and Angel Dust swap, and the Vees also swap. I initially thought it would be really funny if Valentino and Vox swapped, because then there's the interesting dynamic of Vox technically having ownership of "Alastor's' soul (or the very least, the body Alastor is currently inhabiting).

Also, this could go two very directions. If this is in the 66.6 universe, then it has the option of ending more humorous as Vox clues into the situation as he's trying to act like Valentino and is internally like "SHIT SHIT SHIT" because on one hand he doesn't want to absolutely nuke the relationship they've barely built from obit, but Keeping Up Appearances in front of People is also very important to him.

This is doubly funny if Alastor hasn't quite put all the pieces together yet, and doesn't know it's Vox in Valentino's body, and doesn't really get why "Valentino" is try to get him alone in an empty room (so Vox can yell at him and be like "what the fuck??? What the FUCK!!)

But also, there's an interesting dynamic if this isn't in the 66.6 universe and Vox just hates (while still being obsessed with) Alastor. As Vox finally, actually, has power over Alastor.

Idk, I know you're writing, or like, planning out a body swap fic, and this isn't like, a Demand to do it this way. More so a "hey, wouldn't this be Fucked up and Interesting?"

OKAY I'M FINALLY HOME AND CAN REPLY TO THIS PROPERLY!

I think the soul ownership aspect of the body swap is really interesting, because you have to really get into what headcanons you're working with for how it works. Does your soul own the other soul, or does your body own the other soul? And is a soul defined as your consciousness, or are your body and your soul unanimous since you're in hell and presumably your soul just takes the shape it does in hell as your body because you certainly weren't a 7'4" spider in real life?

Anyway, I'm definitely going non-666verse and also def going the angst route for this fic, haha, and I'm admittedly specifically avoiding involving Vox much because that'd make the whole thing like 3x more complicated and I'm trying to keep it to the three-chapter outline I have! I think you're right and that involving Vox in realizing that he has actual, genuine power over Alastor has the potential to get absolutely wild. We see him act pretty zany because he's losing it over Alastor a lot, but the moments we see him where he's not going bananas over his crush make it pretty clear that the guy is both competent and fairly ruthless. I'm sure he'd figure out a way to take major advantage!

summary: Folio can't quite tell you how long he's been dead, but it doesn't matter when he has friends like his, and Ishtar. Ishtar, with whom he fell in love the moment he met her. The problem? She doesn't know it. How does he convince a demon, who is practically immortal, to date him when he's dead? How did Ellie do it so easily?

Folio doesn’t actually know how long he’s been dead, he knew technically, but time changes depending on where you're in Hell, especially when it comes to the punishment dimensions. Those assholes can speed up time to make a day out in the real world seem like a decade for the poor bastards under their ‘care’, and Folio knew that first-hand.

Thankfully, Noah had never been one of his jailers, because he wasn’t sure he could ever be so forgiving of the shit he was put through for his punishment. He might seem like the most easygoing guy in the world, but there was a fucking line, okay mate. Noah, well, he was sort of the BOSS man of the bloody prick that had been torturing him in those first days that Folio was in Hell. On one hand, Folio could hold a grudge in the early days of when Noah would have to oversee his torture, and seeing that demon face in the other dimension, on the other, as time wore on, he got the vindictive please of cackling mercilessly at the dick-wad every time he fucked up and Noah reprimanded him…

Sometimes in front of Folio.

He swore he saw the fucker smirk a little too. Funny feeling Noah wasn’t supposed to do that, reprimand his subordinates in front of their victims, hmmmm victims? Prisoners? Subjects? Whatever he was, considering he had been constantly told he was supposed to learn his lesson in how to be a better person, it had been hilarious watching that asshat get his ass torn a new one, the incompetent fuck. It helped that most of these kinds of interactions came around the time right before Folio had earned his transition to living in the Afterlife part of Hell, instead of being imprisoned in the punishment dimensions of Hell. Boy, seeing Noah once he was free had been a shock and a half!

He’d just might have freaked out, just a little, yelled he wasn’t going back, and broken his nose! Both Jolly and Nicholas had smirked and just sat there watching the scene while Noah pinched his bleeding nose, asking if he was done now, or did he wanted to try to his jaw too?

Folio had just blinked at him at the time, rather shocked that Noah was just sitting there, looking at him with his head tipped forward while he was pinching his nose tightly to stop it bleeding. Right, so, Folio had known how to handle a broken nose, he was a biker, and he’d gotten more than a few broken noses in his time, and fixed them. Anyone that tells you to tip your head backwards when you get a bloody nose was a fucking idiot, so seeing Noah tilt his head forward showed him that the man was smart. Not just because he was the one in charge of those other dimensions. No, you tipped your head forward, so the blood didn’t flow down the back of your throat from your nose and risk choking you to death.

Seeing Noah do that, Folio made the connection, that demons must be alive if they could be hurt and die, and Noah was protecting himself. Not that he was planning on doing anything, it was just, a curious thought. He had no intention of doing anything with it, but it was something he had wondered about the bastard that had tortured him in Hell time and time again. He had wondered at that moment if Noah knew that that asshole had enjoyed the vindictive nature of his position, sadly he learned later that he did, but not all demons had the right disposition for the ability to torture and punish the way they did. However, the fact that he actually enjoyed it, was the very reason why Noah would never allow him to advance any further in his position than he was already. The bastard, in question, was a very low-level demon in the rank of the punishment dimensions. Folio, had never ranked high on the punishment scale, that demon had just always been a bastard, which was why Folio had sadly landed with him. Asshole, unfortunate, but, it was where he ended up.

So, the long and the short of it, he didn’t know for sure how long for him it had been since he’d been dead, thanks to the fact that torturous asshole had liked to play with the flow of time to mess with him, Folio did know that it had been almost five years, give or take a few, since he had been free of him. He’d been living free and clear in Hell and enjoying his life, it was a party, and he loved it here. Living in Hell, you wanted for nothing after all.

Folio wouldn’t lie. Even though he had been in Hell for a while in the punishment dimensions, it had still been a massive culture shock changing from them to living peacefully in Hell with the others. He hated to admit, that some of the demons had made him a little bit wary at first, but accepting people for who they were, wasn’t one of the lessons he had had to learn when he came to hell, and that hadn’t taken him long to adjust.

Good food, good booze, gorgeous women, what more could a guy want right?

He even had the most fucking amazing motorcycle that he had built himself from scratch. When he was alive he’d had a Harley-Davidson, which, unfortunately, had been the machine that he’d totalled, and had gotten himself killed with. Here, now, this baby was pure Hell-Born, yep, Hell had its own brand, which was fucking awesome if you asked him and Folio thrived tinkering around with it! It was so much fun! His bike was a thing of beauty, he loved working on her. Almost as much of a beauty as Ishtar.

Ishtar.

The best part of being in Hell, not being in the punishment dimensions, was Ishtar.

Folio had taken one look at Ishtar and fallen head over heels in love with that woman. Demoness. Love of his life. She was EVERYTHING. She was a purple-skinned beauty of a demon, and if anyone thought that they challenged her for his heart, they had another thing coming.

Not that she knew that.

Nope.

Jolly never let him forget it, either.

Made fun of him for it constantly.

He asked out and went out with other women constantly, they were fine, they were easy going, and they were fun to go out with, but Ishtar was different. Flirting with her was fun, and it was great, but going out with her, he knew he would crash and burn, and he’d destroy any hope he’d have of her falling absolutely and irrevocably in love with him. No. He had to get her in the perfect position, he had to ease her into the world of Folio.

Jolly just rolled his eyes at him over it.

Folio just ignored him, so what he’d been flirting with her for ages, he would get there, he had time, it wasn’t like he was going anywhere any time soon now was it? This was Hell!

Spinning around in a circle, it was a quiet morning in the soul intake office, at least the one they were running, Folio used to wonder how many of them there were because he knew countless souls were coming through Hell at any given time, but they barely handled few. However, the more he thought about it, the more his head just went in circles, until he decided that he’d rather just not know.

“Yo, Ellie, J-man,”

He chuckled, literally feeling Jolly’s unappreciative stare at the nickname when he said it,

“Okay, Jolly, how about it, who is up for coming out to the bar tonight? I feel like a night out on the town… up for some fun with me?”

Looking to the pair, hopeful that they might agree to go.

“Could rope Nick and Noah into it, come onnnnnn?”

Grinning wide, ever since Ellie made up with Noah though, if either of them agreed, then Folio was pretty sure that if one was going to the bar, the other would too. Not only had Noah not been big on letting her out of his sight lately, after her disappearing for a week, his Noah’s entourage seeing him there without her, oh it would be a field day, they’d be on him like wild fucking piranhas. Folio sometimes worried what would happen to any of those girls if Ellie found out one of them tried something with Noah. He’d had seen her getting quite good with her bat lately, not to mention, from what he heard, that Noah was still training her with other kinds of weapons. Fun times.

Scratch that, he wasn’t worried about what would happen to them. He was more worried about whether Ellie would feel guilty after. Anything they got they would deserve, especially after taking a shot at a demon lord when he was so openly involved with someone, to the level he was with Ellie. They would have it coming. However, souls here, and dealing with someone like that, are two very different things. Folio hoped Ellie wouldn’t actually have to deal with that.

Jolly shook his head slightly looking over to Folio and, Ellie not even answering before she was looking towards Jolly with his expression, wondering what was going on,

“What’s up with you?”

His attention switched from Folio to Ellie’s quizzical look, as Folio pointedly ignored the judgement written all over his oldest friend's face. He might have technically known Noah longer, but he’d been friendly with Jolly longer, mostly because the time he knew Noah longer than Jolly, the man had been the Boss-man of the guy making his life a literal, living hell, so he wasn’t counting that to his friendship quota, thank you!

“He is going into withdrawals.”

That was all he said however and Folio just rolled his eyes, Ellie looking between the pair, wondering what it was they knew and she didn’t. Sure, she’d been around for months, but there were still things that she was learning about her friends, about Hell. Even Folio, who had been around for years on top of his time in punishment, could still learn new things here and there, so who the fuck knew everything around here. He wasn’t even sure if the demons knew everything… no one knew everything, not even the demon lords! Not that he’d put it past Noah to claim he did, but Folio would flip him off for trying, though.

They probably all would, for that matter.

Now Ellie was looking at him with scrutiny, probably trying to figure out what Jolly meant when it became obvious that he wasn’t about to explain any further, and Folio just looked at her with a raised eyebrow,

“Come on, you know we all have fun when we go out, what's the harm?”

Grinning at her, his smile was wide, and bright, hopeful as he tried to convince her to come out with him, sure, he could go out on his own tonight, but it just wasn’t the same. Especially considering if he did go out on his own it would be so much more obvious why he was there, well, one of the reasons he was there. He did like hanging out with his friends too, Folio always liked hanging out with his friends, he was always up for that! Honestly, the only thing that could beat hanging out with his friends would be a night out with a beautiful lady, one in particular came to mind, but that was something else entirely.

Either way, he never went to the bar alone, never, Ishtar might ask questions!

“Eeelliiiieeeeee…. Pleeeaassseeeeee?”

He was not to proud to beg? He wasn’t… Jolly wasn’t wrong, not that he was about to admit it, but he missed his Ishtar time, he missed that gorgeous face, getting lost in the wondrous joy of her eyes, and he just knew if he ever dared to touch those lips of hers, they’d be… ahem, nope, nope he wasn’t getting distracted from his goal now. Not when his plan to get to see her, and spend time talking to her tonight was still within his reach.

“So, Ellie, how about it, bestest, ever, pal? Come onnnn?”

Looking towards her with raised eyebrows expectantly waiting as she dragged out the answer, she was doing it on purpose, he swore it, torturing him, not that he didn’t torment her right back every chance he got.

“Fine, bring Noah?”

The groan he got at the question,

“Can we skip the shot challenges Folio? Please, dragging you home passed out on the floor, and my boyfriend so drunk he thinks it would be too ungentlemanly to take advantage of me, is not my idea of a good time.”

Jolly however was chuckling from the other side of the room, Folio rolling his eyes at him, enough with that, he was just happy she agreed

“I told you, withdrawals.... you’ll figure it out. Eventually.”

Sherlock Holmes (the man) was tall and lean with an over-exposed neck. His mouth was constantly open, whether it was to smile too-widely in glee over nothing, or to jabber about useless topics that Louis drowned out more often than not: forensics and medical science and chemistry, his latest monographs and cases, difficult formulas and criminal psychology. Once he even discussed musical theory with his brother for over a day. And his eyes were a bright, sparkling blue that could put a sapphire to shame. 

Sherlock Holmes (the toy) was stout and round, with stubby limbs added only as an afterthought. He had no neck to speak of, his mouth was sewed shut in a thin-lipped smile, and his eyes were made of dull, lifeless, black thread. He was soft and supportive and quiet and gave good hugs.

I suspect that they have never read a pre-Morrison comic. Or, if they have, they’ve gone in with preconceived notions. Or, they just have terrible media literacy. Here are my reasonings for these assumptions.

Now, take a look at their description of this page. Though I warn you, it’s way too hostile.

Hmmmm…. Okay, where to even begin?

First, yes, Bruce didn’t get consent to marry Talia in the comic, I’ll give that to them. And if they find that weird or it makes them uncomfortable, fine. But, they’re blatantly ignoring a key factor in this reveal; Bruce’s reaction. He hesitated for a moment. He questioned the circumstances for a moment. But after that moment, he’s fine. In fact, he’s more than fine. Throughout the comic he’s shown being truly happy and in love. Sure, I’ll give it to them that it was pretty fucking strange that he didn’t get a say (what universe does the man not get a say??), but their insistence that this was traumatic for him is just not true.

Two, nowhere in the original comic that they’re referring to is Bruce drugged by Talia or Ra’s. That was something that Morrison added in their retelling. Something they added in because they didn’t bother rereading the comic and because they had racist and misogynistic biases that they did not work through before writing Talia. They admitted to both of these things. So, no, Talia has not been a rapist from the start. They are blatantly misreading the text to pat themselves on the back for hating her.

Three, no one defends Ivy or Tarantula? Yeah, I’m going to assume they haven’t been here long. When it comes to Tarantula, the writer herself downplayed the rape of Nightwing. She even said it “wasn’t rape” but rather “not consensual.” Maybe that’s not outright defense, but it’s pretty close to it. As for the fandom, there’s still an issue to this day of hyper-sexualizing Dick. As for Ivy? Yes, people defend her vehemently. If you look at the Talia tag on, say, TikTok vs the Poison Ivy tag it is night and day the way people view those characters. Ivy is seen as a feminist icon, a sapphic queen, a complex character. Talia doesn’t get that same treatment. People still cling to that racist characterization of her and refuse to let it go.

OP is most likely never going to see this, but if they do, I have a message for them. You don’t know me. You don’t know the things I have been through, which is a lot. You don’t get to pass judgment on me and question my morals over a fictional character I enjoy. A fictional character who hasn’t been a rapist in 10 years. Something you would know if you dared do a smidge of research. Have the day you deserve.

Note: if you find out who this person is, please do not go and harass them. If you come across them, I recommend just blocking. Especially if you’re pan/omni.

Story Summary:

“He’s a cat hybrid,” Kinn says, unable to hide how underwhelmed he is. Considering the price Ban had mentioned, Kinn had hoped for a dog hybrid, at least. Someone who was less likely to be averse to working with others and who would probably make a good bodyguard with sufficient training.

Ban tries to reply but he’s interrupted by a deep, menacing growl that crests into a full fledged roar before he can get a word in.

Kinn whistles.

“Alright, he’s a big cat hybrid.”

I've seen it twice with 'whoever wants to do it, please feel tagged' so I am taking it as a sign. I also want to tag friends to see their replies, so let's go ~

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 144

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Currently Guardian and Weilan Derivatives, I am considering trying Beyond Evil at some point. Before - DC Comics, Yu-Gi-Oh, Star Wars, Harry Potter, from the more notable ones

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

This one I already answered many times so I will allow myself to skip it this time.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! I love chatting with people and hearing their thoughts, and responding to them. I met some of my best fandom people like that, chatting under their fics or mine 🥰

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ughhh... Erm... that's a tough choice. Do we count stories where both of the characters die as good ending? We do, right?

Then it would be probably When I Make an Oath to the Flames (Guardian) because eternal separation is worse, right? Or maybe In Dreams You Lose Your Heartaches? (Yu-Gi-Oh) I like bad and/or bittersweet endings so it's really hard to choose.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Another good question. How do we quantify happiness? But if we go with the 'I fixed the character's terrible fate and gave them a good ending instead of it' then hmmm... Probably And We Mend Our Broken Wings (Harry Potter) series, because some people not only survived, they even went through a whole redemption arc.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

On fics as such not very often - I had a very notable 'good fic but the ending is so fucking stupid' comment in a bookmark, followed by 'it's great. I HATE it' on a different one, but nothing really, truly mean.

Got a lot of thoughtful feedback about writing, adjusting register to the character's manner of speech or just pointing out some mistakes, and those were usually rather nice and definitely needed.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

No. No ideological reasons here, I just get bored with writing it, and it always shows when the writer is absolutely disinterested in what they are writing at the moment, so I just don't bother anymore. Fade to Black is my new best friend

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Oh, yes. The entire universe of weilan derivatives is based on crossovers. I enjoy crossovers a lot, provided I see some common points between the two original universes. The craziest one? Hmmmm... I am not sure? all of them are weird in their own right. But let's go with Murders and Mirrors because it features Bai Yu's variety show persona and an Evil Reflection from that one Zhu Yilong ad, all for crack reasons.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Parts of it copied and inserted into other people's fics, yes, all of it? No, thankfully.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, into Chinese, if I remember correctly!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Oh yes, and it's the best fun there is when it comes to writing for me!

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Hard to choose really. Each time I meet a new ship that compels me, it gets added to the herd and it stays there. But out of sheer intensity of my feelings about this ship and how longterm my love for it is: BatCat

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have a Luolin longfic idea that I am not good enough yet to attempt, not if I want to write it well. I would have to get better in many areas and to do lots of research to even try, so I am now just thinking about it fondly.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I would say I am flexible? I try to change styles and registers depending on what genre I am writing and which world/era the characters are, and I find it fun. I also have a lot of things that interest me at any given time so these interests filter through into my fics.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

White room, I never pay attention to what my characters eat and whether they actually have eaten anything in the span of the entire story, I tend to repeat certain words and not always notice the repetitions during the editing

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Sure, let's do it, but I would first ask someone who has greater knowledge than mine, to see if the dialogue sounds like something a person might say and not like an exercise from a textbook.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Either Harry Potter or Inuyasha, can't remember anymore which was first

20. Favorite fic you've written?

You can't make me pick a favourite child ;_;

Truly, no idea because it changes with time and with how much I've been thinking about this particular fic. I have some that I really liked but now I don't see anything special in them. I've had some that didn't seem special at all, but someone's excited comment made me see it in a very different light and appreciate it more.

Nothing to do with popularity here, just usually I am not touched emotionally by what I write, so someone else interacting with my stories gives me some semblance of feeling some way about them.

My all time favourites are always stories I wrote with someone else, because the story itself is a record of the good times we had together when working on it, plus usually I simply like them better as stories.
