Some random dude just handed me a religious tract. Let’s see how bad it is.

Okay, verdict: not a bad one at all. It has serene imagery and talks about God’s love. No fucked up theology and weird “YOU’LL GO TO HELL FOR BEING TOO LOUD” (yes I got one that said that once, mom threw it out before I got a picture). Lacks creativity though. I’ll give it a 7/10.

#my life #for anyone not American yeah you just tend to get these #in my last post when I mentioned buying food for the homeless family I was annoyed because what I believe they had also just been handed #a religious tract while a child held onto my leg #I mean maybe it was a gift card but these looked like two well-dressed young Mormon guys probably fresh out of school #no idea as to why it’s really not helpful and rude to give the poor your religious tracks #idk maybe they weren’t Mormon but there’s a certain look #probably stereotyping which is bad but….#I was like “watch and learn how Jesus would really do it guys #in my head of course. I was just an observer who saw it from a distance #I don’t know these kids and look I get it they probably meant well #they might be very kind people #and they’re doing what they’ve been told is the right thing #but it’s helping no one #so yeah for non Americans you just sometimes randomly get handed religious phamplets or postcards #this one seems to be of the scenic nature variety which usually aren’t the hellfire ones #hm given the information this likely came from the baptists #Lutherans also use this version of the Bible but this isn’t usually their speed #it’s the baptists and non-denominational Protestants and the Mormons and the jehovahs witnesses who are the usual suspects #also if you can go to hell for being too loud #anyone want to join my coup against Satan if we all end up in hell together #lol #yes I grade religious tracts #you have to do something about the annoyance
