This is a HLVRAI roleplay for my security guard AI oc Sprite. They became sentient after the Resonance Cascade, splitting from the Barney clone "hivemind" and forgetting who they are. All it know is its job. And that it has to protect Gordon. Gordon is its friend.

Rules:

Basic DNI, no homophobia, no transphobia, no Zionism, no anti-semitism, no ableism, no NSFW, etc.

You can swear, just bare in mind I don't swear back so you can't make Sprite say silly crap lol

Ships are allowed, but please discuss them with me in DMs beforehand. I would prefer a ship RP with a Gordon, as that has been interesting me recently, but anything else is okay! Sprite is in their 20s so no younger characters shipped please!

In search for any 18+ HLVRAI roleplayers who ship Benrey/Gordon! I’ve always enjoyed the dynamic of a somewhat cryptic-being like Benrey toying with a “straight” man like Gordon. I feel there’s more to explore there — whether it be horror elements, adventure, angst, or general fluff. I’m willing to play either characters, though I do want them to have conflict for some spice :)!

We can plot together, maybe place them in different environments(maybe a different game?), etc. While I enjoy headcanons & include them, I don’t want to deviate too far from the canon characters’ personalities unless it’s an entirely different AU!

Small requirements:

1.) 18+ Only.

2.) Literate and Multi-Para (1-2+).

3.) Have discord.

oh my godddd guys benrey is the last of his kind guys this just clicked in my brain oh my god. .

its implied hes from xen cause of the ending, but somehow was in black mesa before ResCas happened*. and xen is meant to be a safe haven for creatures that were endangered cos of combine. which implies all of benreys relatives friends ect are DEAD. in the final battle benrey says he was trying to stop gordon reaching COS HE KNEW what would happen. he knew gman's plans. he knewwww and he didnt want to loose his friends again. guys he was trying to protect them and gordon was sooo mean... IF THIS THEORY IS RIGHT HL2VRAI WILL BE TRAGIC!

* i like to headcanon he was in black mesa cause of previous tests they were doing. maybe benrey is a test subject who was given a "job" as a guard cause of his strong ability to not die? this would kind of make the theory of his kind cancel itself out if they really just don't die, but maybe there's a way to kill them that the combine knew?
