映画「翔んで埼玉」の公開日からちょうど1ヶ月後となる2019年3月22日、IFPI 香港グループ（香港レコード協会）が香港コンベンション＆エキシビションセンター（HKCEC）にて開催した「香港アジア・ポップミュージックフェスティバル 2019」にアジア圏で非常に高い人気を誇るGACKTさんがゲスト・スターアーティストとして出演！

このフェスティバルは「Music in One Asia Plus」をテーマに香港政府の支援の下、2011年から毎年開催されていて、2019年はアジア9ヶ国・地域（日本、中国、韓国、マレーシア、シンガポール、タイ、台湾、ベトナム、香港）の音楽関係団体の協力により開催されました。

GACKTさんは2002年9月22日に中国の北京工人体育館にて初海外ライブとなる「中日携手 世紀同行・記念中日邦交正常化30周年大型歌会」に出演していますが、この出演の後の上海でのインタビューで「日中の問題は政治レベルではなかなか解決しない。ボクは音楽を通じて人の交流が始まり、やがて音楽が国境を無くす。」といった発言をしていました。

海外で知名度があるGACKTさん。中国でも人気があり、「香港アジア・ポップミュージックフェスティバル 2019」に招待されました。
