I'm happy to report that after the dust settled I finished 4th at the last USAT of the year. As much as I'm disappointed in how I scored at times today, I can't be upset with making a medal match in my first season with a recurve. I shot a 36 arrow pb yesterday, won 2 shootoffs, lost to a silver medalist Olympian and one of our top women. It's now time for me to take a short break before refocusing for indoor season. Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me this year. They say you either win or you learn, and nothing could be more true when describing my experience at the CT state championship this weekend. As a coach, I always tell my students never to try something new in a tournament...But what did I do? Shot my "backup" tab which is a different size and leather then my regular tab. Here watching the finals of the #usopen, and I have to take a minute to congratulate my friend @gregwhitetv on a top 8 finish today in the toughest division (men's compound). He's on the road a lot with his job, so he doesn't get to shoot his bow nearly as much as he'd like. However, he's been using @HitTheGold, and it's clearly paying off.
