also i get to download hitman 1 ost which is great because i love the themes for those levels someone pls tell me as well, what is with the hate for the WOA trilogy music

like i think jesper kyd's work ESPECIALLY from silent assassin onwards is supreme (his work in c47 is also amazing, i just remember how my jaw dropped when i saw that there were orchestral tracks in that game), but niels bye nielsen still produces tracks that really lean into the professional side of the games

its especially fitting with hitman 1's design philosophy and ui design

i guess jesper's work on the contracts ost kind of sticks with me more than stuff on WOA trilogy though.. i think a lot of the contracts ost was just fucked. like it's so fucking creepy and especially that one track that has the weird breathing in it ?? (it's the one that plays when you do illegal stuff, i think i remember specifically it plays when you put the laxative in fuchs' soup in the siberia level or wherever it is, the one where you start in the plane)

anyway contracts is just creepy idk what else to say. but i feel like WOA's music gets dogged on because it isnt the same as the games before it i guess???

i bought the deluxe version for world of assassination and i went on the IOI website to go check out the artbook i got and i am graced with this beautiful stunning button right here

Decided on the parashah from my wedding day for my third Beit Din essay - it’s Balak (idk why but all of Numbers is actually super interesting to me, although objectively Genesis is my fave to read at any given time).

I kind of love this portion - HaShem really swooped in after Balak sent the Moabite dignitaries the first time and was like “what’s the tea sis” and Balaam poured that tea, and then Balaam was very straightforward with literally everyone including HaShem but everyone including HaShem spent the whole time like

And then we also have a little interstitial where Balaam is being a real asshole to his ass and HaShem jumps him on the road and is like

(Literally HaShem is like “I should kill you actually you lil bitch stop beating your donkey”)

And then to top off all of the righteous and sometimes ridiculous (@ Balak) stubbornness all around, there’s just a sprinkle of “HaShem kills some folks w the plague because once again the Israelites got a little worship horny while folks were off doing things” which is ended by one of Aaron’s descendants doing a little targeted murder
