Y’know it really baffles me when I see professional historians making claims without having evidence or citing a source because…as a current history student, every single one of my history professors is constantly reminding us never to make claims without evidence (in fact I had one prof once who would dock you a whole letter grade if you did it)
So when I see historians do it I think how did you ever make it through academia???? Citing sources is academia 101

woke up a little earlier to study and finish my assignments. it didn't work out but I enjoyed the winter sun at the college desk. sometimes changing environments can be good.
I have an entry due on Sunday and three more papers due next week. What keeps me motivated to continue is the event that will take place next Friday at the school where I teach.
to-do:
entry (already working on that)
textbook analysis for brazilian history
educational psychology summary

One day you think: I want to die. And then you think, very quietly, actually I want a coffee. I want a nap. A sandwich. A book. And I want to die turns day by day into I want to go home, I want to walk in the woods, I want to see my friends, I want to sit in the sun. I want a cleaner room, I want a better job, I want to live somewhere else, I want to live.

03/100 days of productivity ▪︎ 140723
at the beginning of the week it all seemed like it was bound to go wrong but in the end it turned out well.
i have done my last two assessments and now i only have one more to do on ancient american history in paper format.
next week there will be a historical practices event organized by the academic center and we will have a mini workshop on how to read ancient coins and documents.
i m also trying to read more about my research and Michel Vovelle's The French Revolution seem to be a good introduction.
🎧 tales of brave ulysses, cream
to-do's:
start final report of the teaching initiation project
finish the article (I have until Sunday to deliver)
finish at least the first chapter of vovelle's book
