Desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

Hex is the personification of "curiosity killed the cat", he very much wants to know everything, acquire as much knowledge as he can. This is what got the attention of his patron in the first place, since I picture his patron as an otherworldly entity that seeks knowledge as well. And Hex is definitely not secret about it, he's nosy, likes to snoop, and probably is a little bit too obsessed with books. He 100% has put himself and others in danger in the pursuit of knowledge and never regretted it.
