I recommend TORG Eternity or any of the 2D20 system games. Ive personally played torg for about 4 years now and its by far my favorite system ever and it sucks its not more well known given just how unique it is and how diverse you can have your party without any need for homebrew or such.

I havent played much of the 2d20 system of games but my fiance and his gamer group absolutely swear by it. One of their favs and multiple properties have been covered by it including Alien and Fallout.

Anyway back to TORG.

All you need are a good amount of d20s and d6s. Its got a really cool card mechanic where each player has a hand of cards they can play any time outside of combat and in combat can only play if theyre in their pool, which you add a card from your hand into each time you act. Cards can do anything from +3 to your final skill total on a check, to "I romance this npc and gain possibilities i can spend on us both" (ill get to possibilities in a sec) to "i find a supply cache" to "i martyr myself to guarantee we succeed something." And a bunch of others too.

You roll a d20 for a skill check, then check your final die roll against a chart handily invluded on most sheets telling you what bonus or minus you get to your skill. And 10s and 20s can result in rolling again for an even higher total up to and beyond 60 (if u hit 60 and someone has a Glory card u get extra bonuses too) and there are also possibilities, of which u start with 3 usually represented at the table by pokerchips just for eases sake. You can spend a possibility to roll another dice and add its result to your other dice(and possibility, and the cards that do the same effect Hero and Drama, always add a min of 10)

Ex: i roll my d20 on a find check. I get a 15. 15 add a bonus of 2. I have a find skill of 9. 9+2 is 11 so thats my final skill check total. Say thats not high enough though and i need at least a 15 total to win. I spent a possibilty, roll an 8. Since its a possibility die roll, its automatically a 10. So that makes my roll total a 25 now, which is a skill bonus of 8. Now my find skill check total is a 17 which is a pass!

The other really really nifty thing about TORG is its cosms. The big meta plot of TORG Eternity is that alternate universes are invading ours and they all have their own sort of metaphysical rules known as Laws that effect stuff like special uses of possibility, unique interactions, how magic or psionics work ect. And each cosm is basically its own genere! The cosms are:

Orrorsh: Victorian england and India, the victorians brought their fucked up shit to india and are doing colonialism. There are vampires and ghosts and werewolves and everything sucks dont go to orrorsh it will kick your ass /jk

Nile Empire: Nazi declares himself god pharaoh. Very pulp novel and comic book. Go punch the Nazis its a good time. You have cool steampunk-ish gadets and superpowers and faith magic (known as miracles)

Living Land: Prehistoric dinopeople called Edinos live with dinosaurs and their faith magic. Sometimes you find really out of nowhere weird shit because one of its cosm laws just sometimes keeps remnants of past cosms theyve invaded. Its fun though. Lotta jungles.

Aysle: High fantasy magic and elves and dwarves and dragons and trolls. The forces of Light and Dark are at war, theres also more viking-esq tribes in some places. Has its own underdark like areas.

Tharkold: Cyberdemons invaded russia. Russian leader nuked the cyberdemons. Since the cyberdemons are very VERY might makes right(one of the world laws is literally Law of Dominance) they allowed the russian leader to keep some power and authority as a sort of respect thing. Cyberware and psionics.

Panpacifica: Cyberpunk/Shadowrun. Genemods and electric samurai and implants and all that good stuff. Haven't got to play a campaign there yet but cant wait to.

Cyberpapacy: Suuuuuper suuuper high tech gamified Catholic church ran by the Cyberpope. Every action is tracked and given a piety score. Cyberware and vr/cyberspace common. Heretics and witches burned.

And finally!

Core Earth: default earth with the exception of burgeoning psionics.

And the best part? Your player character can come from any of these cosms and have unique perks and abilities from them! You dont even gotta be human! You can be an elf, a dwarf, an Edinos, a Cyberdemon, and a couple other species get added by the cosm specific source books!

And there is a prewritten adventure for each cosm that range from "go find these 3 artifacts so we can stop a dragon" to "the pharaoh is trying to make a sun death lazer go stop him" to "we tricked the cyberchurchs systems into thinking youre the secret police go investigate some stuff"

But given the variety you can just make your own shit up!

underground fighter!shinsou who came home 3 hours after his fight supposedly ended. unfortunately you couldn’t attend this one as you had your own work shift overlapping the fight times. you stayed up until the devils hour waiting for the tall male to trudge through the door, his usual large duffle bag either full of winning money or spare clothes slung over his shoulder.

“where were you?” one the bag hit the floor you spoke first, leaning against the wall while watching him toe off his air force. “what dya’ mean? i was at a match, you know that” he grumbled with a slight roll of his eyes and walked past you to the stuffy kitchen—silently noting another small hole in the wall—. “yeah i know that,” you said with a ‘duh’ tone, “but that ended three hours ago. where have you been in that time.”

shrugging his shoulders he finished off his water and lent on his elbows against the counter. “at the bar with the guys, what? i cant celebrate a win anymore? jesus” you looked at him like he told you he’d just grown an arm and three legs. “so you just didn’t think of inviting me, but every other bitch you kno-” “you were at fuckin’ work, i’m hardly gonna ask when i know the answer.”

again he rolled his eyes to the man above while lifting his hoodie over his frame and into the washing machine leaving him in his white wife beater, finally making his way out to the balcony while pulling a cigarette from the box in his pocket. “you know i finished just after the match was over, you couldn’t of just asked? was it to hard?” hitoshi blew the smoke in your opposite direction and looked towards you. “i cant have one night with my friends without you you attached to my hip all night huh? christ i’ll invite you next time if it annoys you that much woman” “so you think i’m clingy?” you scoffed with your arms crossed over your chest. hitoshi dryly laughed and looked down to the dark streets, people yelling and some coming home from night clubs and bars alike.

“maybe sometimes i think i do (y/n), listen to yourself right now.” your lips fell into a thin line at his comment, making you sigh and push yourself off the railing. “fuck you shinsou” you heard him kiss his teeth and turn to follow you through the narrow halls. “so i’m the bad guy again? all i said was that i didn’t want you hanging off my hip,” hitoshi went to follow you into the bedroom but was met with the door slammed in his face. “(y/n) baby please, c’mon i’m sorry i didn’t mean it in that way okay? just open the door please,” he waited another few seconds before hearing you shuffle then swing the door to show your glossy eyes. “one more chance hitoshi, one more and i swear if you pull shit like this i’m gone”

The bright lights, constant shouting, stuffy crowds and the smell of blood was something you grew accustomed to over the past year and a half. Thankfully, you didn’t have to get lumped into the huge crowd, being shinsous partner you you a seat at the ringside beside his trainers.

Tonight he was up against a rather tough opponent, one who played as dirty as the sport itself. And Hitoshi was feeling the effects of his foul play by the third round. His chest heaving, the hard muscles covered in sweat and a mix between his own and the other guys blood. You could already see that he would have a black eye and bruises along his cheek, aswell as a busted eyebrow.

Even with all his current injuries, it wasn’t like the fighter opposite him wasn’t feeling it either. Anyone could see he was just as tired as Shinsou, a limp in his step showing a particular hit to the stomach had him doubling.

“keep going ‘toshi one more hit and he’s out!” your lilac haired lover perked up slightly at the sound of your encouragement, brining his tape wrapped hands back up from his side, flexing them to feel the hard guard on his knuckles press against his skin. “oh? That your own little supporter?” the tan male taunted at shinsou, making him raise an eyebrow for a split second until he realised what the comment meant.

“yeah? What of it?”

“she looks like she’s taste real nice, bet she does huh? Probably wouldn’t put up much of a fight if I tried to get a taste myself” Hitoshi felt his blood boil at his words. “fuck off and just focus on what’s infront of you jackass” he chuckled darkly at Shinsou’s words and let a lopsided grin take over his beat up face. “ah c’mon sh must be sweet as if your gettin’ all tough. c’mon just once taste of that little kitty ca-”

Shinsou didn’t let him finish his vulgur sentence before he brought his leg up aiming his shin to kick into his unprotected rib cage. The minute his opponent hit the floor Hitoshi was on top him landing punch after punch to his face. “He’s out Shinsou! He’s out!” both his trainers lept up into the ring to pull him off the man who was now out cold. As they held him back Shinsou spat down onto the other fighter before raising a fist in the air.

“you did so good out there ‘toshi. ‘m really proud” you leant more into his side seaking the warmth you needed as you walked through the dark city streets. Hitoshi winced slightly as you pressed against a growing bruise, but of course he wasn’t going to tell you to get off him so he kept quiet. “thanks babe. did it all for you of course” he said the end of his sentence in a playful tone while pressing a kiss to your cheek. Knowing that the both of you find those lovey dovey parts of relationships too funny to take serious.

“how ‘bout we go celebrate in the bar, we can go alone or meet up with the others.” You hummed as an indication that you were thinking of an answer to five before letting a teasing grin grace your features. “we can do that, but I kinda wanna take my winnings first.”

He didn’t know exactly what you meant until you were leading him to the darker alley at the side of the path, falling against the cold brick. His eyes trained your face for until you brought your hands to his bruised cheek to pull him down, meeting his split lip halfway.

Hitoshi only pulled away until he felt his lungs beg for air. Once he did he took your smaller face in his large hands, holding you as if you were a fragile piece of fine china. Looking at you as if you were an angel sent from above for his viewing. He felt his chest tighten as you brought your hands to rest over his own, careful of the cuts and bruises along his knuckles.

“fuck, I fucking love you so much baby. Wont let anyone say shit or do anything to you. promise” he whispers as he brought his lips back to your own. Nearly Going against your claims of ‘hating the lovey dovey shit of relationships.”

“You ever think of quitting all this?”

Your voice was just above a whisper. Taking your boyfriend out of a slight trance he was in. “uh yeah sometimes I guess, why?” you shrugged at his question, really because you didn’t want an argument to start up. You know shit would hit the fan if you told him that you hated his job, how you hate that nearly every night you have to clean his beat up face in your cramped bathroom. You know he’d argue that it’s the only way to get money. Your job barely scraping the monthly rent if it wasn’t for his.

“i know what your thinking, and I can’t just quit because you don’t like seeing me with a few cuts and bruises” he laughed slightly at the soft pout now on your lips, letting his hands fall on your hips to rub against the exposed skin. “but sometimes it’s not just cuts and bruises hitoshi. Like 2 weeks you nearly broke two ribs for gods sake.” “yeah, but i didn’t. so I don’t see why your all mad about it. it’s not like I haven’t been taking beatings all my life anyway, what’s some weaklings that are only trying to make quick money.”

You couldn’t really argue with his point, and again, you weren’t going to because you didn’t feel like going to sleep in an empty bed. “isn’t that what your doing?” playfully, he slapped your ass and narrowed his eyes. “hey, i’m not some weakling. You see these guys?” you gave a noise of affirmation as you reached up to feel his bicep. “okay big guy calm it while I kiss your boo boos better.”

Fourteen: remember

Bakugou stared out into the crowd of people until he found you. The two of you locked eyes, causing your face to grow indescribably hot. Bakugou reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. His hands were shaky as he attempted to unfold it.

“YOU’VE GOT THIS BAKUGOU!” cheered Kirishima, breaking the silence of the room.

“SHUT IT SHITTY HAIR!” Bakugou had opened the paper and looked at it. He looked over at you and down at the paper again. He sighed, crumpling the paper and turning it to ashes.

“So here’s the deal. There’s, uh, this girl…”

Oh my god.

“And this girl is a complete pain in my ass,” he smirked. You felt everyone’s eyes shift over onto you but you kept your on Bakugou.

“This girl drives me crazy. She pushes all my buttons. This girl gets on all my last nerves…”

“...But I wouldn’t trade this girl for the whole world.”

Your eyes began to get glossy. You cupped your burning cheeks into your cold hands, attempting to hold back a smile.

“I fucked up what I had with this girl and I don’t deserve her one bit but… I just need her to hear this.” Bakugou took a deep breath.

“Look, that bullshit I said in the common area? It was just that. Bullshit. The thing is, as you probably know by now… I’m pretty shit at telling people how I really feel. So, uh, when it came to you… I panicked. It’s a hell of a lot easier to pretend you don’t care. When I said that I don’t care about you, it's because in all honesty it's the exact opposite. I care about you more than I’ve ever cared about anyone in my entire life...”

“...and that terrifies me because what if I’m not there to protect you? Fuck- that day when you fainted during training, I felt like a failure. It was my fault that you got hurt so I promised that I would never hurt you again. Clearly, I-uh, need to do better since I’m making this apology right now,” he said nervously. You shook your head, a few tears rolling down your cheeks.

“You’re the only person who can put me in my place. The only person I’ve ever opened up to. The only person who can keep up with me. I-I’m honestly such a mess without you.”

“IT’S TRUE!” budded in Kirishima. Bakugou gave him a glare before turning back to you.

“Fuck- from the moment I laid eyes on you I knew that I wanted nothing more than for you to be mine. I may have been pretty shit at showing it but it's true. Of course you and I both know that things between us didn’t go that way. From our first year, we were constantly competing with each other, which I didn’t mind since I got to be around you. And now that I was forced to plan this shitty dance with you, I remembered why I...why I-uh…”

[earlier that day]

“Bakugou we’re supposed to be helping to set up-”said Kirishima. Bakugou didn’t release Kiri from his grip, dragging him to the dorms.

“I need your help with something…” mumbled Bakugou.

“Well you can let go of me.” Bakugou led him to the common area couches, letting go of him. Bakugou sat down across from him with his arms crossed.

“What’s going on man?” asked Kirishima. Bakugou looked down at the ground.

“I fucked up…”

“Yeah you do that a lot. What’s the actual problem?” Bakugou huffed.

“I want to tell someone something but I don’t know how…”

“Tell them what?” Bakugou kept quiet.

“Come on man, I gotta know in order to help you out,” insisted Kiri. Bakugou took a deep breath.

“I want to tell someone I love them but I don’t know how…”

Kirishima’s eyes widened.

“This is about Y/N, isn’t it?”

“WHAT- UH- fuck...yeah it is.”

“Well you definitely messed that up when you told her you don’t like her,” teased Kiri.

“Don’t remind me… you idiots made me nervous with all your damn questions…”

“Why don’t you just tell her? It’s kinda obvious she feels the same. Or she’s still mad at you.”

“I CAN'T JUST TELL HER! W-what would I even say?” Bakugou buried his face into the palms of his hands. Kirishima laughed.

“Wow you really do love her, if not you wouldn’t be so nervous about this. Why don’t you just straight up tell her. Blurt it out.”

“She won’t talk to me. She hates me…”

“We both know she doesn’t. You both have a tendency to say crap you don’t mean in the heat of a moment.”

“When would I even tell her?”

“It doesn’t matter so much ‘when’, more so ’how’. Make sure she knows how you feel. Expressing your emotions is super manly.” Bakugou sighed.

“Fuck-I just hope she still feels the same.”

“She will, man.”

Your heart was pounding out of your chest. Bakugou looked directly into your eyes from the stage.

“I remembered why I fell in love with you in the first place. That’s right Y/N L/N, I am in love with you. I don’t give a fuck if these damn extra’s hear me because you are the only person I care about. If I have to spend one more second away from you I might just lose my damn mind because I love you Y/N. I do. Fuck- I really do.”

Bakugou was shaking slightly, the microphone he held was covered in his sweat. The entire room went silent, all eyes on you.

You wiped the stray tears from your face. You grabbed part of your dress, lifting it up above the ground slightly for you to walk. You walked towards the stage. Your breath was shallow, nervous was an understatement. You came face to face with Katsuki. His eyes stared into yours. You moved your hand up, placing it gently against Bakugou’s cheek.

“I didn’t take you for a confession kind of guy,” you smirked. Bakugou smiled.

“Well you’re lucky I love you dumbass. I wouldn’t have done that for anyone else.”

“Well good thing you’ll never have to.”

You grabbed Bakugou’s suit jacket and pulled him in to kiss you. He instantly held your face, keeping you close to him. It wasn’t until the room was filled with clapping and cheering that you remembered that you weren’t alone. You smiled against Bakugou’s lips and broke from the kiss, your face burning. You buried your face into Bakugou’s chest and looked down at your friends, who gave you big smiles and thumbs up.

“Damn extras…” mumbled Bakugou. You chuckled, taking his hand and leading him off the stage.

“WELL FOLKS THAT WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE LOVE!” cheered Present Mic, “I can't even remember what we were doing before that…”

You rejoined your friends on the floor. Bakugou’s face was a bright pink but you didn’t bother him too much about it.

“Well that just happened,” you smiled. Bakugou wrapped his arm around you, kissing the top of your head.

“I love you dumbass.”

“I love you too.”

The rest of the night was perfect. Todoroki ended up winning Prom King and Bakugou certainly wasn’t gonna let him live that down. Momo won Queen, even giving a speech thanking everyone who voted for her. You and Bakugou were inseparable the rest of the dance. You even forced him to do the photo booth with you. Reluctant of course, but he even had a small smile on his face when the camera clicked.

“See! Told you it would look good,” you said, holding the picture.

“Mind if I keep it?” He asked. You smiled.

“Not at all.”

When Prom ended, it was just you and Bakugou in the theater. You both were picking up whatever leftover trash people had left. Everyone else had headed back to the dorms for an ‘after party’.

“We could probably take care of all this tomorrow,” you said.

“Mind if we do something before we go?” He asked. You nodded. Bakugou took your hands, placing it on his shoulders. He then placed his on your waist and held you close.

“I was hoping to get to dance with you princess, if that’s okay?” You smiled, resting your head on his chest.

“Even if the whole world was watching I’d still dance with you Katsuki.”

“Lucky for me that I get to dance with my world.”

I read "From Lukov with Love" and here's why you shouldn't:

Strap on your seat belts kids, its going to be one hell of a ride!

Also, lots of swearing but if you've been here before then thats not anything new.

First of all let me just ask, HOW in the hell can you use SO MANY WORDS but literally say nothing at all??

its so wordy. Do you know how stupid I feel by describing a book as WORDY? It just makes no sense at all

To the people who described this book as "slow burn", heres the door.🚪now please run through it

I am so incredibly disappointed by this book because the plot could be so good but the writing is just so trash. Literal TRASH.

I cant even contain my anger when I powered through this book only to reach THE KISS and be left with something so pointless as Chapter 20. Oh, and let me save you the trouble of going through the book and looking for it. Here it is:

THATS IT. A WHOLE CHAPTER. IN LESS THAN 100 WORDS. HOW FUCKING COMPELLING. HOW RIVETING. HOW EMOTIONAL. ITS NOT LIKE THEY REACHED A BIG FUCKING STAGE TO THEIR RELATION SHIP JUST A PAGE BEFORE THIS. NO BIG DEAL. GO ON WITH YOUR DAY.

Don't get me started on the amount of times "blinked" was used. Its like their own form of communication. Fuck dialogue. Fuck trying to explain what emotions Jasmine was feeling or what she thought Ivan was feeling. NO. They blinked. 👁👄👁 <- that is all I can fucking visualize every time it gets mentioned in the story. "I blinked." "He blinked back." FUCK YOU.

Knock, knock! Are you still there? Why are you still here reading this? Aren't you already as pissed off as I am about this book? Not yet? Okay, lets continue.

The problem with this books is is that its great that the female protagonist is a "strong independent woman that will refuse to quit or back down from everyone that says she cant do anything!". But is it? I feel like the author thought "I am going to win over everyone's hearts by writing the most hard-ass female character ever to star in a book!" smh

As for Ivan Vanya Lukov. THE BAR IS ON THE FLOOR. Like, him being an actual human being gets fawned over so much I was about to revert to wearing skirts that reached the floor and hiding my face behind a fan when I laughed. 😐

Have you watched that Netflix show about twins? One was a figure skater and one was a high profile junior league hockey player? I dont remember the title and I dont care for it enough to search it right now. But I watched it, and THAT had more emotional impact than the 538 pages of this sorry excuse of a book.

Honestly, both characters are so emotionally immature for their age which makes me even more angry 😂

To anyone who is a competitive figure skater, I am so sorry that this book has made such a disservice to you and your sport.

I swear if I had the physical copy, I would stab a knife through it and just leave it there on a coffee table. I'd fucking display that shit in a museum and call it installation art.

Figure skating wonder Boy needs partner! (But only for a year. No ifs or buts) Finds said partner in deadbeat headstrong girl who he's known since childhood! But wait!!! They hate each other. (Yeah, Ooh such a plot twist!) Boy and Girl train together so Boy can still remain the greatest skater in the world!! "With my money and good looks I can make trash into flowers!" But OH NO! Girl has tons of self-doubt and a few family issues that are very much blown out of proportion in the writing! (Which will never get resolved by the way) AND to top it all off, she breaks her ankle! With a competition just weeks away, she breaks her ankle!

Boy thinks its his fault, Girl says no its not. Girl keeps apologizing because she blames herself. They kiss. Because by god, we've never seen the male lead kiss their counterpart so they can stop talking! Now that thats happened, the author decided to just say: 'Fuck it! This book is done! No more work need to be done here! They kissed and thats all that matters!'

Are you fucking kidding me? How is that acceptable behavior? How is this girl not running for the hills for the way he ruined her relationship with Paul? This whole partnership was based on a lie so he can get the girl.

Oh. You're looking for spice? Don't worry. After they get second place at some competition they go back to their hotel room and feel each other up like pubescent teens and then fuck.

A/N: I'm sorry this is kinda rushed but it's been in my drafts since forever and I really wanted to finish it and finally give content to those of you who started following me for Ben <3 (also pls forgive me)

''So, what's going on between Four and Eight?'' Three asked, nudging Two's arm with a smirk on his face.''Are they...you know...''

''For fucks sakes Three.'' Two whisper-yelled, her eyes widening. ''You dumb fuck! Stay behind me and for the love of God, shut up.'' she spat. ''Sorry guys. He's on laughing gas. He's dumber than usual.''

You couldn't help but blush at Three's comment. Things hadn't been the same between you and Four since you broke down in front of him. You two weren't fighting anymore, that was a good thing, but you'd also started avoiding him as much as you could. You couldn't help but feel ashamed of your reaction. You had joined the Underground because you were one of the best snipers in the country, what if Four thought you were too weak or too sensitive to be working on such missions?

You sometimes shared eye contact and occasional small talk but there was nothing more, and that was honestly fine with you. You had broken the rules by sharing your names and other informations about your past life which was already way too much.

One had made you promise to always use your code name and always stay anonymous no matter what happened, and you broke that promise because of one small tantrum. You couldn't risk getting yourself, or Four, kicked out of the team so you just decided to distance yourself from him. If that ever happened, you'd be completely alone as you were already dead for your family and friends. The Underground was everything you had left, and as much as One hated that word, you weren't going to lose your second family.

''Guys, this is Eight's last mission. Let's not make it a disaster, shall we ?'' Seven answered and you nodded to yourself, bringing your attention back to your target.

//FLASHBACK//

''I can't do this anymore, One.''

''What do you mean you can't do this anymore ? Come on Eight. You're our best sniper, there's no way I'm letting you give up.''

''But you've got Seven, he's- he's so much better than I am.''

''That, is absolutely not true.'' One answered before turning to Seven. ''No offense though.'' Seven scoffed before turning to you, raising his beer. ''Thank you, Eight. You're a real one.''

''But seriously, guys. I can be so much more useful with computers. I've done this my whole life.''

''That's a no, Eight. We've lost our driver already, we're not losing our best sniper.''

''Jesus, I'm not asking for you to kill me! You're not- losing me or whatever. I just want to be helpful in another way! You were doing well without me, and Seven saved all of your asses more than once.''

''Eight we've talked about-''

''Give her a chance, man.'' Four interrupted, catching everyone's attention. ''We've got nothing to lose. Seven is good, and we could actually need some hacking skills for our next missions.''

''Since when are you two standing for each other ?'' One asked with a stern look and a finger pointing simultaneously between you and Four. You rolled your eyes but choose to ignore his comment before speaking up again.

''Look...just think about it, okay ?'' you took one last sip to your beer and stood up. ''I won't disappoint.''

Turns out your last mission as a sniper was in fact, a disaster. You had been shot, and Two almost got killed. One was a nervous wreck and yelled most of the time, still not really accepting the fact that this was your last real mission with them. ''See Eight?! This is why I don't want you to quit your damn job!'' He'd shout everytime something went wrong.

You hissed as Five helped you lay down on your bed while applying pressure on your wound, trying to stop the blood from spilling out.

“Alright, I can see the bullet...'' Five muttered to herself and you squeezed your eyes shut, trying not to scream in pain. ''I have to pull it out right now Eight.''

''Jesus- fuck.''

''I know, I know. I need you to stay awake, okay? Stay with me Eight. '' Five answered, slapping your cheeks slightly to keep you awake. Before you could react, Four burst inside your trailer and stopped in his tracks when he saw your weak body laying on your bed.

''I-is she okay ?'' he blurted out, trying not to sound too concerned but failing miserably.

''She should be fine but she's in shock. I need you to keep her awake, Four. Talk to her.'' She spoke and Four nodded. He came closer to your bed and kneeled next to you before grabbing your hand and squeezing it tightly.

''Hey, look at me Y/N'' Four whispered and your heart skipped a beat at the mention of your name.You slowly tilted your head towards him and bit your bottom lip in anticipation, a single tear sliding down your cheek. You could tell Five was looking at you, probably surprised about Four knowing your name.

''It hurts.'' you blurted out, your voice barely above a whisper.

''I know love. But you're gonna be fine. Okay ? You're alright.'' His hand moved to your cheek, stroking it softly and wiping your tears with his thumb. You winced and groaned out in pain as you felt the wound being opened.

''Stay still.'' Five exclaimed before taking out her medical tools and working on the wound. ''It's gonna be okay, Eight. I have a pretty clear view on the bullet, it's not as deep as I thought. I should be able to remove it quickly.'' Five tried to reassure you and you nodded, fighting hard to keep your lids open. Your hand was clenching Four's so tightly that you were scared of hurting him. You shot Five a concerned look when you noticed how shaky her hands were, but you were too exhausted to say anything. When Five finally managed to pull the bullet out after a good two minutes which felt like an eternity, she showed you the bullet with a winning smile and you grimaced at the sight of it, still managing to chuckle slightly at her reaction.

''Alright young lady. Let's get you all patched up.'' Five grabbed some more alcool to clean the wound and did everything that had to be done so that it wouldn't get infected before wrapping your waist with a bandage to keep everything in place.

''I'll be back to change your bandage every two hours. For now, get some rest and don't you dare sit up. If you need anything...Just yell.'' she shrugged and you smiled.

''Thanks Five.'' She nodded, wiping her hands in a handkerchief. She headed towards the door and winked at you before leaving you alone with Four, carefully closing the door behind her.

A comfortable silence settled over your trailer. Four was the first to break the silence.

''Why are you so distant with me ? I thought we sorted everything out'' his voice was soft and soothing and his hand was now stroking your hair.

''We broke the rules, Four. This could get us in so much trouble. I didn't want to risk anything.'' you admitted, staring up at the ceiling.

''Fuck the rules, Y/N. There shouldn't even be any.'' Four spoke as his hands kept caressing your scalp. You tilted your head to look at him and gave him a small smile, feeling your lids getting heavier with every passing second.

//TIME SKIP – 4 WEEKS//

''So...how's this new job treating you?'' Four walked up behind you, his arms wrapping around your shoulders as he planted a kiss on your temple. You were working on your computer, hacking some codes for the team's next mission.

''Better than the last one. It's actually quite nice not being shot every two weeks.'' You chuckled and took your eyes off the screen, focusing your attention on Four. You stood up and wrapped your arms around his shoulders, inhaling his scent. Eventually you finally pulled away from the hug and Billy's hand came to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear in a tender gesture.

''I miss you. I have no one to argue with and pretend to hate.'' he smiled and stroked your cheeks while your hands rested lightly on his hip

''Pretend to hate ?'' you furrowed your eyebrows and tilted your head to the side as a small smile adored your features. ''You didn't actually hate me ?''

''Did you ?''

''I hated you for hating me.''

''Well I never hated you.'' You both chuckled and you stood on your tippy toes to plant a kiss on Billy's lips. ''I'm sorry... I've been such a bitch to you, and everyone else.''

''Especially me.'' Four retorted and you laughed.

''Shut up !'' Four shook his head and pulled you into a warm embrace. When he pulled away, he kissed a scar on your forehead before you laid your head back on his shoulder.

''I do miss everyone's company. Except One's. He's an ass.'' Four chuckled.

''You know he actually cares about you, right ?''

''Doubt it.''

''I swear ! He was shit scared the night you got shot.''

''Really?''

''I swear.'' Four answered and you laughed, pulling away from the hug, your hands resting on his hips.''How's your wound, by the way?'' he asked, motioning to your waist.

''It's looking good.'' you shrugged.

''Does Five still makes sure it's healing properly?'' he asked and you chuckled, tilting your head to the side as a wide grin spread across your lips.

''Yes Billy, she does. I'm fine, I promise.'' you answered as you cupped his cheeks and pecked his lips. A small giggle escaped your lips as he pulled you closer and pressed his lips back against yours in a soft enduring kiss. You jumped a little when his cold fingers brushed over your skin and you sighed softly when he detached his lips from yours and started leaving soft kisses along your neck. Your hands slowly slipped to the back of his neck, stroking it gently as your eyes fluttered shut. After a moment, Billy eventually pulled away and placed a final kiss on your lips.

''I gotta go. They're probably waiting for me.'' he said, moving a strand of hair behind your ear. ''I love you, Y/N.''

''I love you too. Be careful, okay?''

With that, Billy left your trailer to go on yet another mission with the team. But little did you know that was the last time you'd ever see him walk through that door.
