Nunnally started to feel more and more uncomfortable as more and more people were looking at him. At them...? She was afraid someone might recognize them. Well, specifically her as she should not be wandering around the kingdom alone. She’d get in trouble if she got discovered. It got slightly better when the King managed to calm the crying boy. Still Nunnally tried to keep the boy occupied so that he would not start crying again.

“It’s true…” – she said when Hiroki mentioned people not paying attention to homeless animals – “It is so sad as there are so many of them…But the boy…we should definitely bring him back. I am sure everyone is truly worried about him.”

And then he stated his name. So openly. Nunnally would never do that. She would never admit who she was outside the castle. She knew she was breaking the rules. She would most happily simply disappear, but years of certain upbringing, years of training, made her react almost instinctively. And even if she could stop herself from doing so, she saw no good in doing it. Sooner or later they would meet in formal settings. After all, that was why she was there for. And then the situation would be awkward. And obviously the king did not want to keep his identity a secret. She was left with no choice: --

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Your Majesty.” – a proper curtsy – “Please forgive me that I have not recognized you earlier. It will be a pleasure to accompany you to the library. I have heard it hosts a great collection of books.”

( “What’s going to happen next…? My father is going…”) – no she could not think about that; she should have simply left when she realized who he was.  But it was too late.

   Ah. He did not want the baby to start chewing on the poor woman’s hair. He seemed drawn to shiny things but Hiroki thinks that’s a habit of Werewolves. They liked things that shined and caught their eyes. He pressed his lips together and tried to gently pull the boy back from the woman, put some distance between them so she could have her hair back. He hated when his own hair got wet, he can’t imagine having baby saliva in it. Not to mention the pain of having it pulled. That was worse. Why he usually wore his hair up if he went out.

   “Alutora.” He says briefly, twisting in a circle to try and dislodge the boy’s teeth. “Why are you being so naughty. What’s even your name? Hm?” The boy begins to cry and Hiroki stops moving, huffing out a breath as he twists back around to look at the woman, adjusting the screaming Werewolf cub in his arms. People paused to look at them, whispers spreading amongst the people. He needed to get the kid back to Satoru.

   “The Academy, that is. It’s over in the Upper Right corner of Town.” He points in the distance, toward the tall building poking out through the row of houses and shops. It was rather hard to miss, the clock and bell at the top of the largest peak, the library, being the calling point. 

   It’s not hard to find, that is to say.

   “He probably crawled out as a Wolf. People don’t tend to blink twice at stray dogs or cats.” He shakes his head, smiling up at the woman. The boy’s started to settle again now that he can stare at her. “Hiroki Nakamura, do you want to walk with me? The Library is open to the public and rather a nice place. Satoru has the largest collection of books in Abarith.”
