Lol! It's fine! I've been itching to get this lore written out! And these questions definitely motivate me to do so!

Apologies for there not being any art. I'm still not feeling great and unfortunately, don't have any concepts prepared. But I'll try to answer the questions as best I can!

1: What are your main shippings?: OH BOY.🤩🤩🤩 I have so many ships! Lol! I'll try to just put down the most important ships though. There aren't actually that many that are super important to the story. But let's see what I can do!

Edward x Boco: This one is one of the first ships to occur in the story! Boco makes his debut in the this AU's version of Day Of The Diesels. Him and Edward are an adorable couple and love them with all my heart!

Thomas x Ashima: I've been shipping these two since I was a little girl! I love them together and honestly, I'm shocked that there isn't more stuff for them in the fandom!

James x Nia: THIS ONE is the RAREST of rare pairs. But I love it. Please just trust me on this one. Please please please please please please please please please please ple-

Frankie x Hurricane: They were totally married in Journey Beyond Sodor. At least that's what I thought.🤣 I've written them a super interesting backstory. I can't wait to share it!

2: What’s the dynamic between Nia and James?: I'd say, begrudging allies, to friends, to lovers. He meets her when he gets lost in Africa and is at first a bit annoyed by her. But after she becomes his guide, and saves him a couple times, he slowly starts to warm up to her. And vice versa. They discover they have a lot in common! Both outgoing and playful individuals! Also, on the adventure, Nia helps James to see the world and himself in a new light. And Nia finds that he isn't all hot air. He does have a loving and gentle side. But he's scared to show it, fearing it will effect his image. She helps him open up and accept those parts of himself. They're adorable.🥰 I can't wait to write about them!

3: Who’s most likely to go close up to humans if given the chance?: Definitely either Thomas or Percy. Thomas because humans intrigue him. And Percy because he's young and a bit naive. Edward would probably too, but very cautiously. While he has known good humans, he's known more bad ones.

4: Do dragons hoard things like gold or piece of trash?: YES! I need to tell you about James's hoard. It's frickin hilarious! So, James is part wyvern, right? So, because of that, he basically has a crow brain. Meaning he'll collect anything that is remotely shiny. And despite his collection being mostly made up of tin foil, candy wrappers, glass, and bottle caps, he convinced it's absolutely priceless.🤣 Also, you could say that Edward hoards books, since he's a wizard and has tons of magic and history books stashed in his house!

5: Can dragons purr like cats?: Yep! Dragons can purr, chirp, hiss, growl, screech, chuff, and roar! They communicate with their wings as well! Fluttering wings means excitement. Flared wings can mean shock, or an act of intimidation. Folded wings means the dragon is neutral or simply calm. But wings pinned tightly against the back means fear or anger. Kinda like a cat flattening their ears.

6: How do dragons display of affection (both romantic and platonic)?: Oh! This is a great one! I'm not great at explaining this stuff, so just bare with me. Okay?😂 One form of affection is sun bathing together. Whole clans cam sometimes be seen sun bathing in a nice warm rocky place. Grooming each other is another one. It's considered more intimate and usually only done between immediate family members, very close friends, or mates. Also, dragons gives kisses kinda like cats, by licking. Mates definitely do that to show affection, though like the others, it's not strictly romantic. Dragon mate's may also entwine tails and rub noses to show affection. In addition, Dragon's have various ways of showing interest in a potential mate. Wyverns sometimes have flashy feathers and dances. Regular Dragons have certain calls or nest building techniques. Some species even bring their mates presents like fruit or shiny stuff.

7: What type of dragon is Mavis and Hiro?: I haven't decided on Mavis yet. She's been a tricky one to figure out. But Hiro is an ancient Wind Spirit Dragon! He was among the first dragon spirits, like Lady! He is spirit of Sky and Wind! Hiro looks like a usual Eastern Dragon, but very big, and with beautiful black and gold scales! He also has the usual lions mane his species is known for. A long flowy white and silver one!

8: Has any of the dragons been raised or rescued by humans?: Yes! Salty was! When he was a young dragon, he got lost in a storm and landed on the deck of a pirate ship! He was welcomed aboard by the pirates and became part of the crew! He was quite well respected actually, despite obvious language barriers. Lol. He knew how to get his thoughts across anyways! And that's why he has that name and so many adventure stories!

9: Do all the dragons have unique powers or fire breathing techniques?: Not all do. Even within species were they usually have it, some simply won't inherit the powers, cus genetics are weird. And sometimes dragons that have never been known to possess any sort of magic will miraculously get some! (Like Henry!) Some say this is the work of Lady. She is the Spirit of Magic and Life and will give magic to those she thinks will need it. And as for fire breathing, not all dragons breath fire. Some spit venom instead!

10: Is there any dragon that are venomous like snakes?: There most definitely are! Some species even slightly resemble snakes! Like the species Sonny is! He can spit venom, and has a cobra-like hood! And certain dragons and wyverns also spit venom. They live mostly around the equator. Since fire isn't very helpful in places with a lot of vegetation. (Fire hazards! Oh no! 😱🔥🔥🔥🧑‍🚒)

11: What’s the funniest thing that Gordon does?: Crash land and get his head stuck in the branches of a tree. Percy and Thomas were laughing about it for days. Not around him of course. He would probably end them if they did.🤣

1: What’s Toby’s biggest pet peeve? (Example: Chewing loudly): Actually, annoying sounds is probably very in character for him. He likes quiet, so I could see repetitive noises being very frustrating for him. Totally not self projecting. Haha. :D

LightningClan Moons 0-3

I lost BrookClan to the update (by which I mean I didn't really update as download a new file? idk computers aren't my strong suit so..... time for a lower effort game with less drawing. Maybe I'll go back to that version of the game at some point but not this exact moment).

Setting Up:

According to the rangen we are LightningClan. AND it randomized in with a cat with the "Lightning" prefix, so I think we're off to a great start. He HAS to be the leader, I think.

Of course nobody randomized in with mates, but I do like the idea that there could be mates in the group, so I'm going to randomize that on my own.

Lightningtstar and Bloombrook are mates! Boyfriend leaders!

Dawnsky and Fleetfreckle were mates in life (though of course I can't represent this in-game until Dawnsky dies). But... hell yeah gay rights the only starting mates are queer! Love when RNG does that.

Events:

Cypresstuft, Asterscratch, Speckleshine, Heatherpaw, and Dawnsky went on a border patrol. They encountered a small dog, which they drove off, but Cypresstuft was bitten.

Moon 1:

Heatherpaw is now Heatherheart, honoured for her responsibility. I imagine that she was promoted as a result of her part in driving off the dog. Maybe she managed to rescue Cypresstuft!

Speckleshine is in the medicine den with a stomach ache, but wants to go on patrol with his former apprentice, Heatherheart. Which is cute!

Meanwhile, Cypresstuft is engaging himself while he heals in the medicine den by telling Weedpaw and Splashkit stories. Which makes sense, as he's a good speaker.

Heatherheart has ambitions to become deputy one day.

Splashkit, the only kit in the Clan, for two moons in a row now, wants to stop being babied. KID YOU ARE A BABY.

Asterscratch, Heatherheart, Lightningstar, and Weedpaw all went on a border patrol. They found the body of a dead kittypet whose twolegs dropped them off in the wild and then drove off.

Dawnsky and Speckleshine also went on a border patrol. They encountered a dog but, possibly because there are only two of them, decided to report it rather than attacking.

Moon 2:

Lightningstar, Weedpaw, Dawnsky, and Heatherheart went on a border patrol. They met a loner named Mosaic, and invited her to join the Clan. She is a former kittypet who is suffering from a bite-wound. If she heals up/lives, Lightningstar has decided she will be given a warrior name!

Asterscratch and Speckleshine met a BearClan patrol and decided to antagonize them. They were intimidated. It made inter-Clan relations worse.

Heatherheart was stolen by twolegs but managed to escape. She now wears a rainbow bow collar (and is cute as a button)

Splashkit was made an apprentice. His name is now Splashpaw, and his mentor is Heatherheart (one step closer to that deputyship).

CYPRESSTUFT. This cat. Healed from the dog bite. Then got bitten by a venomous snake and "miraculously survived". Lord.

Weedpaw was made a warrior with the name Weedshade, and was honoured for his stealth.

Cypresstuft also has a little bit of a crush on Heatherheart, and Heatherheart has the SMALLEST POSSIBLE bit of romantic affection back for her. It's another gay relationship. RNG is saying "no straight cats in LightningClan" and I am not complaining.

Also, hilariously, Weedshade absolutely adores (platonic) Heatherheart, and she doesn't care about him in any way.

Heatherheart and Splashpaw went on a border patrol, and they met a loner named Freya!

Freya:

Lightningstar, Weedshade, Speckleshine, and Asterscratch go on border patrol and meet some rogues, but manage to drive them off with Speckleshine leading the charge.

JELLICLE QUEEN APPRECIATION MONTH

June 14th:

First of all I should mention I headcanon Zoty as genderfluid, and using whichever pronouns fit xir at the moment. Sometimes she's female, and uses she/her. Sometimes he's male, and uses he/him. And sometimes xe's neither, or both, and uses xe/xir. For the purposes of this post, which is about queens, and because she is a queen sometimes, I'll be refering to her as she/her here

She's also a shapeshifter, which is why she keeps changing colors every three seconds

What do you love about this queen?

I'll admit it's really hard to get to know her, but from what we see of her she seems shy but friendly, which I can relate to. I do really like her shapeshifting. Once you make it make sense in universe and it's no longer a distracting production mistake, it becomes rather fascinating (and at times hilarious, see favorite moments below).

What is your favorite version of this queen?

I'm pretty sure 98 is the only version I've seen where I was aware she was in it. I mean I know she's been a swing for a few productions since but I've never really been aware of her anywhere else, so it looks like 98 really is my answer for literally everyone (except Griddlebone lol)

Exotomile (and on a sidenote Exoticopat is my favorite mlm ship with Zoty, who if you remember is sometimes a tom)

When Zoty first joined the tribe she was shy and self-conscious around most people, but she had seen the twins around the Junkyard before while she was on her own, and that little bit of familiarity was enough for her to gravitate to them once she joined the tribe. It helped that they were cool, mysterious, and attractive, but she probably would have been too shy to hang out with them if they weren't also the only vaguely familiar faces in the tribe. After a while she opened up more and began hanging out with others in the tribe as well, but she still frequently gravitated back to the twins. She really liked them, she found. It wasn't just familiarity anymore. She just wanted to be around them

The twins themselves found themselves increasingly interested in her. They started opening up to her more, letting her in to their little social sphere that up until then had only included each other. They were pleased, if a bit amazed, to find she fit nicely into their dynamic. They started feeling protective of her, and a strong affection soon followed

So that's how she got close to them both, but this is specifically about her and Tantomile. Zoty thinks Tant is particularly cool. The quiet aloof demeanor, the silky smooth elegance, the been-there-done-that attitude, the mysticism thing, Zoty's massively attracted to all of this. But she thinks Tant's even cuter when she's being silly 💙

And Tant thinks Zoty is amazing and intriguing and she can't help wanting to know more about her. And she thinks it's adorable when she's being all shy 💙

And Tant finds herself trusting Zoty, and wanting to be around her, more than she ever expected of anyone that wasn't her brother

While neither are very talkative, they still end up spending hours just shooting the breeze, chatting and gossiping about anything in particular. Including secrets. Zoty knows things about Tant that even Cori doesn't know

(just to be clear I do NOT ship the twins with each other. They're both in love with Zoty, and Zoty's in love with them both, but the twins aren't in love with each other)

Your favorite moment of this queen in the musical?

That bit in Old Deuteronomy where she's excitedly reaching out to touch him from the edge of the group, and when he touches her fingers she immediately drops her hand and backs away, which I've always read as an overwhelmed shy fangirl "omg he actually touched me omg omg omg" kind of thing which is really kinda cute ^^

Runners up include hissing at Griz right before Memory (reprise), most of the Naming of Cats but especially "Bombalurina!" and her close ups during "more dignified" and "singular," just before Pekes and Pollicles when Munk says "rejoice!" and she's all excited and looks like she's saying "yes!" and every single moment she randomly decides to change colors in the middle of a song, which when you think of her as a shapeshifter is effing hilarious. Just like be in the middle of Skimbleshanks and like "I think I want darker colors right now... on second thought nah... well, maybe… but no. Yes. No." Lmao!
