whats the best capsule photos/scans in your opinion?

This is an insane question to try to answer; it'd be easier to talk about mid pics of them. Like sooo many of their official artist photos starting with FLASH BEST (one of Nakata's worst imo and it makes me sad because his outfit was 🔥) just made their faces look...weird? Off? Not themselves? I don't even know who to blame for it. WAVE RUNNER had the worst one by far for both of them, Toshiko doesn't look right and neither does he. I liked the Hikari no Disco artist pic but, uh, we see how that wound up...

But yeah, they were both generally good-looking people who could take good pictures so they have a lot of nice photos on that merit. If you're asking about art direction or something, the MARQUEE shoot for NEXUS-2060 is an indisputable all-time favorite for a lot of people (for example, this went craaazy). It's too bad their shoots for that magazine got increasingly weaker over time, they used to do fun ones which is how we got this amazing picture of Toshiko where she was styled by Sakai Kate.

What genres/styles would you like capsule to try? And realistically what direction do you think their music will take next? I'm grateful for Metro Pulse of course and I do really like Hikari no Disco (I still think that it's the best off the album) but I would love to see capsule do something new or maybe revisit more of their older work.

Whether it's through capsule or not, I want to hear Nakata lean into DnB and his techno and house roots and abandon pop music. Which is a 100% certifiably deranged statement that nobody is going to agree with so I'm not sure I should spend the time writing an essay on it lmao...
