littol guy... with a little funky lore! have you heard of the like... the archipelago multi world randomizer? fireb0rn used it to randomize hollow knight and minecraft together!

Their lore is something based on that, where they're stuck in a loop of "wake up in king's pass, get connected to this otherworldly link, listen to people from other worlds talk to each other while sending back their items, unable to talk back... beating the game, and then waking back up in king's pass."

It's a little silly and self indulgent but we're having fun and that's what matters :]

Oki, since I got multiple ancient asks I'll tell a few different opinions in each answer so

First of all I think they were a littke sillay. Especially about the void. And dying. Like the whole starve and the karma system is kinda messed up. You can't really achieve enlightenment if you're so stressed about it allll the time. You're supposed to be enjoying life! Like.

Ok. In the voidsea you die for real. But you hsve to let go of the world completely. If your ego is to big or there's still something you love and want to continue seeing then you can't die. The void rejects you because you're not really ready to let go. You have to be truly ready to die, and be at complete peace with it. Idk how this fits into karma or even like. Downpour cuz I only know the slugcat mechanics for that
