Hanging with this babe last weekend was quite the treat. Started and ended my backcountry cook(ie) season with #highsierravolunteertrailcrew at the ever-popular, epically beautiful Yosemite Valley, though my trip up and down #fourmiletrail went significantly better at the end of season than the beginning. Getting to know these majestic mountains and fantastic forests has made my heart pound with love and admiration (though I'm sure the exercise and altitude helped a bit;) and it seems quite appropriate to begin and end a season in the same place. Birthed deep within, the love of mountaineering and exploring will not die, so let the adventures continue, now in a new vein! (at Yosemite Valley)
