Yosemite - Four Mile Trail

At the top of the Four Mile Trail at Yosemite National Park. Hike down was easy of course but the hike back up was nuts! Definitely strenuous. - Original photo taken September 5, 2015.

I know I'm weird, but I ascribe personalities to the various neat places in Yosemite. El Capitan is a grumpy old dude who begrudgingly lets people climb. Half Dome is the friendly and cute girl next door who just wants everyone to be happy.

If anyone is visiting Yosemite National Park, Glacier Point is one of the highlights of the trip. A viewpoint above Yosemite Valley with an elevation of 7214 feet and 3200 feet above Half Dome Village (the place we stayed) It’s a Four mile (4.6mile/7.4km) trail up. And same way down. If 15km of hiking is too much for you then you could drive there. It’s about one hour car drive to reach the viewpoint. You could also do what we did ,take a bus tour up to Glacier Point and hike down (7.4km) so that u can see the views from the trail.
