O-K. So just bear with this word vomit. I swear it was supposed to be maybe a handful of words. And then it turned into this…..

Can you imagine Max taking Trouble carting for the 1st time. Carting was his childhood and yea they’ve been doing other fun activities that he missed out on together, (healing his inner child as Trouble likes to tell him. He thinks it’s just an excuse to get him to do things other than racing or video games. But what can he do she’s so happy when he plays along. Which makes him happy). And maybe carting wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows but he survived and he’s doing pretty good for himself, if he’s allowed to brag. So he wants to go carting you Trouble. And Max, he’s so good at explaining and teaching. That’s part of why he Maxplains (yes he’s seen the tweets and the memes. Sunshine and Trouble make sure to show him and Daniel). And while they’re at the kinda shitty, hole in the wall cart track during a race week; because really who would believe that 2 time world Champ Max Verstappen would be in BFE, Max is explaining everything that Trouble needs to know. Some kid wonders over and just kinda tags along. Everything Max tells Trouble to do the kids does too. And they have a million questions. So many questions. To the point where Trouble, who thinks she’s pretty patient, I mean she deals with Dan and Max together almost everyday is getting a little frustrated. But not Max. He’s just totally calm, going over things a million times. And then they race. They obviously let the kid win. But there is something about this kid that just tugs at Max’s heartstrings. He’s not sure if it’s the look of determination in their face or the way they fearlessly drive, but he sees himself. And he sees how much this kid really loves racing and he has this realization that this was the way carting should have been for him as a kid. But it’s also cathartic that he was able to give that to this kid. Something healing. Maybe a trouble was right about healing his inner child.

-after thought. I could totally see Max also dropping a bomb on Trouble on the way out of track. Something along the lines of, we’re not forcing OUR kids to cart but I really hope they do. I want to be hands on. More like Micheal that my dad ya know? And poor Trouble. She’s just kinda stunned. Her and Max have been friends for a while. But they just started dating. And here he was talking about kids. And Mac picks up on how stunned she is, but doesn’t pick the right reason. And he’s like, do you not want OUR kids to cart? It’s a big part of our lives. And you know that I wouldn’t be like my Dad right? 🥺🥺
