The joys of writing a new world from scratch is how much creativity it pulls out of me, and how easily i can organize it in WorldAnvil [not sponsored, just calling them out for a great free service] The bad part is two things A) i keep spiraling out of what i wanted to write about, idk how i found myself inventing a rare material when i was trying to write about a country of floating wizard cities. then i realized i spiraled and tried wrapping it up and going back up the chains and instead went further down rare metal> miners > small towns in the wizard country > mountain pass and beach > the guards. This is only made worse by B) My obsessive need to have any reference to another item or article be a link to it, forcing me to make the other article right away so i can put a link to it in the text i'm writing. Anyway here's a snippit of the world i'm writing for reading this far, thanks babes "The mageocracy of Arcadia, housed in the cloud-catch mountains, is famous and renowned across the world for their unique structure. while those of little to no magical talent remain living on the ground, in the thick forests and lakes of the mountains, those who prove their aptitude and pass the 'Ascension trail' to the mountain's peak and take the teleportation circle will findthemselves at the largest of the 6 flying cities that hang between the mountain tops. Wonderous cities filled with magic, creation and knowledge. Led by the Azure Conclave, the culture in arcadia hold that magical aptitude makes power and right to rule. Meeting the Thessawall ocean to the north and west, and the Krigala Plains to the south east, this naturally fortified nation is further helped by it's arcane supriority, one which even the most simple of their forces, the guards known as the Blue Scales, wield to keep control of both the border, and any populous unrest. The major cities on the surface of Arcadia are Serandth, built on the tallest mountain's side. and Highhearth, built within a valley between a few mountains. While the capital of Arcadia is the largest of the flying cities, Eternis."
