hey my birthday is this coming sunday and all of my loved ones and friends are 1000 miles away from me. if you feel like giving me a little birthday treat you could draw for me a weevil wizard to keep me company.

in dazai's jjk verse it mainly centres around him being in the same year group as geto and gojo, namely because in bsd dazai is shown to be around the same age if not exactly in 2005. but having him born after gojo means that his existence is a direct conflict and result of gojo's own birth as within the same year the strongest sorcerer was born, so was the strongest anti-sorcerer (???) at least as far as cursed energy nullification goes, dazai exists to counteract gojo's existence in some sense.

I’m obsessed with the idea of a Dark Urge with the divine soul sorcerer subclass.

I know it’s like the cleric-flavored version of a sorcerer, but I would love it for story reasons. You could really lean into the whole child of divinity thing.

With a sorcerer in general, your magic is just an instinctive, intrinsic part of you. With the divine soul subclass, you would have that added level of having evil divine magic right from Bhaal himself (inflict wounds) and be shown to be his favored child with the “Favored by the Gods” feature. It would add another level of deliciousness to your Dark Urge’s relationship with Orin by showing that YOU were clearly dad’s golden child.

From a role play standpoint, it would be fun for evil Dark Urges to lean into and fascinating for good ones to contend with.

I’ve been rewatching Merlin and episode 5x07 has it all: Gwen accusing Merlin of murder. All his knight friends who’ve known him for years not speaking up and arresting him. Leon declaring his loyality and interest in Gwen while Arthur’s body is not even cold and Merlin is sentenced to death. Gwaine does literally nothing.

Merlin is going through it this season. Does anyone have any good fics that deal with Merlin’s falling out with all his friends over the years?

good morning!! i’m thinking of j.jk chiyo this morning and the idea that she’s hidden some tricks up her sleeves for dire situations, mainly shikigami that are based on cat yokai! bc i like to think she’d work really hard to not be helpless if a situation goes sideways; she’d work hard to be able to save some of the people she’s responsible for as a manager, even if it’s dangerous. giving her shikigami who are actually formidable would then present the question of why she isn’t operating as a sorcerer instead of as a manager, which would be a valid conflict to have with her. although! i have a feeling she’d keep it to herself bc if she’s pushed into becoming a fully-fledged sorcerer, that’s one less person looking out for the current sorcerers. that’s one less person looking out for the kids. and they’re already going through a lot :(

the answer to jjk’s issues is therapy and close-knit community, you know,, like idk, caring for one another ig? non-superficial empathy where ppl work together for each other, for the whole?? community effort???

if geto got therapy and had more ppl (adults) looking out for him, then maybe he would’ve stayed. same with other sorcerers, like nanami, like hakari—they might’ve stayed if more ppl looked out for them. if non-sorcerers got therapy and spaces where they could work through their big emotions, maybe curses wouldn’t spawn as often as they do,,like, taking care of each other man, that’s prevention,,the answer is love bro,,shame gojo thinks love is a curse </3 (but, like, dude grew up with that mindset, and then geto made it worse for him, so it’s understandable but,,)

and also the dismantling of the very foundation of the current hierarchical, mechanic, corrupted system, but u could argue that love as a general concept (and this sense of togetherness, of community) could solve that too,,

owh and like if the existence of sorcery was made known, maybe it could be a two-way thing between sorcerers and non-sorcerers, where non-sorcerers work to prevent big uncontrollable emotions,,like geto said, “survival of the weakest. that’s how a society should be. the weak help each other and discourage any who are too strong.” idk just a thought, but maybe they’ve already addressed why non-sorcerers can’t know about jujutsu,,,

I’ve been struggling on making any actual headway and all i knew is that i wanted it to be well done, and to like every aspect of it, and im so so happy to be able to say we might actually be able to view it together (finally!!!) before this year is over <3
