HichiIchi Week 2019: Oct. 13-19

Anyone can participate and the rules are super simple:

Can be a drawing/painting/video - anything you like! AU is acceptable as well! As long as it’s HichiIchi

Just post your creation on the appropriate day (for example, ‘Crown’ would be October 13th, ‘Sun and Moon’ is on the 14th, etc.)

Day 1 (Oct. 13) - Crown

The internal struggle. The fight for the title of ‘King’. Do they share the crown, or can only one of them truly rule? There’s also the ever reliable Knight/King/Prince au that you could use for inspiration. ;)

Day 2 (Oct. 14) - Sun and Moon

How are Shiro and Ichigo different? How do they complement each other? Can one truly exist without the other?

Day 3 (Oct. 15) - Shakespeare

Ichigo’s passion. Shiro doesn’t get it... or can Ichigo help him to understand? What’s there to love about old books anyway? Also consider searching for a quote from one of Shakespeare’s works and drawing inspiration from that! :)

Day 4 (Oct. 16) - Rain

The symbol of Ichigo’s depression, and the bane of Shiro’s existence.

Day 5 (Oct. 17) - Sword

Why do they fight? What do they fight for? Think about their fighting techniques. Think about what makes their sword different from other Shinigami, and what makes them different from each other.

Day 6 (Oct. 18) - Empty

This is what Hollows feel. Do you believe Shiro feels this way? Is it possible that Ichigo feels this way too? Can it be filled?

Day 7 (Oct. 19) - White

Aizen’s experiment. The colour of Shiro’s skin, sword, hair, clothes... The bandages wrapped around Ichigo’s hilt. Is white the colour of purity and blessings, or the colour of death?

i read four of shakespeare’s plays to prepare for this prompt, since the last time i read him was like 10yrs ago haha. i had a great time reading his works, especially since i read ones i hadn’t before. i can definitely see how shakespeare is so lauded and why ichigo likes him so much!

summary: ichigo is just trying to finish the play but shiro keeps distracting him - he finds a way to finish it anyways. includes a summary of shakespeare’s timon of athens.

“Ugh, why are you reading that shit, Ichi? Not like you’re gonna be able to glean anything else from that book. Just put it down already. I wanna do something else.” Shiro whined, lying on the bed while he flicked through apps on his phone.

Ichigo looked up from his book. “Shiro, it’s not shit, a, this is only a play from one of the greatest English playwrights of all time. B, you seem to be just fine messing on your phone. I’m almost done – leave me alone til I’m done.” He turned his attention back to his play. He was only one act away from finishing Timon of Athens and he wasn’t gonna let his boyfriend stall him any more than he already had. For a play that he could’ve easily read in a couple days, it had now taken him almost two weeks thanks to Shiro’s distractions.

Shiro huffed, “C’mon Ichi, it can’t be that interesting. It’s not even written in modern English; how can you understand it anyways?” Turning over and getting off the bed, Shiro walked the couple of steps to Ichigo’s desk, plucked the book Ichigo was reading out of his and tossed it on the desk. Firmly sitting himself in Ichigo’s lap, “I’m much more interesting, don’t’cha think?” Shiro asked with a lecherous grin

Ichigo sighed and rolled his eyes, leaning towards his desk to get his book. “Shi, honestly, I’m almost done. You can’t wait another half an hour?” Ichigo started reading again, determined to finish the play even with Shiro on his lap.

Annoyed, Shiro frowned, trying to figure out how to keep Ichigo’s attention on him alone. With a smirk, Shiro started grinding on Ichigo, sure that if he could get Ichigo aroused enough he would put the book down voluntarily.

As Shiro started nibbling at his neck, Ichigo was tempted to laugh but stopped himself, knowing that that response wouldn’t be one Shiro would like. Shiro’s seduction wasn’t going to work (this time at least), not when he was only a couple of scenes from the end of the play.

“Tell me what you think about this,” Ichigo suddenly said, “the main character, Timon, is a well-loved person in Athens and he’s well-loved because he’s very generous with his friends. However, he learns he has a large debt; he goes to his friends who turn him away. What do you think of Timon?”

Intrigued, Shiro pulled back from the hickey he was making and sat up. “He sounds like an idiot. Why ya asking me?”

Ichigo continued, “So he’s an idiot. Does your opinion change when I tell you that, after his friends refuse to help him, he then decides to hold a feast that he invites him to?”

“Um, no, still an idiot. Dumber than I was originally thinking if he did that.”

“What if what he served his friends was only hot water with stones?”

Surprised at that, Shiro let out a little laugh. “Ha! He’s got more of a spine than you were letting me think! I wouldn’t’ve thought he coulda done that. Does he do anything else like that?”

Smirking, Ichigo replied. “Well, Timon, after serving water and stones, then herds everybody out his house. He then goes to live in the woods and finds gold there.”

“You’re kidding me.”

“Nope. He finds gold and, can you guess what he does next when people come up to him?”

“Lemme guess – that dumbass gives the gold away.”

“Yep.”

Shiro rolled his eyes. “He really is as dumb as I thought then. If he’s so stupid, why ya reading? He ain’t about ta change, clearly.”

“Well,” Ichigo replied, “he hates all people now since his so-called friends didn’t help him.”

Shiro stared. “And… giving out gold is him expressing he hates people?”

Ichigo laughed, “Yes, because he gives gold to prostitutes so they can spread disease, and he gives it to a military man so that he can burn the city down.”

“Oh, okay. Okay that makes sense then.”

“Ha, thought so.” Ichigo flipped a page, taking note that he was only a scene away from finishing the play.

“Okay, so, after he gives the money away, people from the Senate come to him hoping that he could calm the guy who’s burning the city.”

“But he’s not gonna do that!” Shiro interjects excitedly, “because he paid that guy to do that.”

“Exactly.” Ichigo smiles, finally hitting the last page of the play. Having finished, he throws the book on the desk and focuses back on Shiro. “He tells them they should go kill themselves and then he dies in the woods, hating people.”

“Serves them right after not helping him, “Shiro said with a grin.

“Haha, absolutely. And that’s the play.”

“That’s… it?”

“Yeah.”

“That’s kind of short. Why did it take you so long to read it then?” Shiro asked innocently.

“What?!” Ichigo sat up suddenly, making sure to keep a hold of Shiro’s hips as he did so. “You kept distracting me! I could’ve totally finished it in a couple of days if you hadn’t been bothering me with one activity or the other every time I tried to read it.”

“One activity or the other? I remember only doing one activity with you these last two weeks.” Shiro said suggestively.

Ichigo blushed. “Yes, well, you could’ve lain off until I finished and we still coulda had the same amount of sex.”

“But where would the fun be in that?” Shiro pouted. “It was much more entertaining watching you fall for my charms, again and again, than you reading that English book.”

Rolling his eyes, Ichigo sat up, lifting Shiro with him. Moving over to the bed, he dropped Shiro on the bed, turning back around to straighten his desk. Shiro grabbed Ichigo before he could take a step, tugging with enough force to pull Ichigo onto the bed with him. After a minute of flailing, both were able to settle on the bed, Ichigo on top of Shiro. Staring into each other’s eyes, Ichigo leaned in to kiss Shiro. Thinking that finally he was gonna partake in their extracurricular activities, Shiro deepened the kiss, framing his legs around Ichigo’s, hands on Ichigo’s waist to bring him that much closer.

Pulling back, Ichio smiled and ran a hand through Shiro’s hair. “So, which play should I read next? Julius Caesar or Sonnets?”

Shiro groaned.

HichiIchi Week: Day 1 - Crown

Let’s kick-off day 1 with a good ol’ musing~! It’s a short fic, but I love how it turned out!

Rated: T (or 14+, the same as Bleach)

Summary: Ichigo's crown was crooked.

It frustrated Shiro that no one seemed to notice how crooked Ichigo’s crown was.

Or if they did notice, they didn't say anything about it, almost as if they were too embarrassed to be caught fussing over Ichigo's crown.

But there it sat upon his King's head. Crooked. Getting worse each day.

It was a wonder how the crown even stayed on Ichigo's head. It seemed like it was defying gravity, so tilted and yet so secure in its position.

But that was just for show. Shiro knew it. He had a feeling Ichigo knew it too. It wouldn't be long before the crown fell off.

No matter how many times Ichigo righted it, it still went lopsided. No matter how long Ichigo stared in the mirror, or how long he showered, or slept, or didn't sleep, or did homework, or fought hollows…

The crown always stayed crooked.

And one day, it finally fell.

The sound of the crown hitting the ground shocked Ichigo's friends. But were any of them really surprised? Shiro wondered. Did any of them really think that the crown would never fall?

And it fell hard. The gems shattered. The frame dented.

Ichigo dropped to his knees, and the silence that followed scared his friends more than anything.

And in their inner world, in Ichigo's kingdom, Shiro knelt down and picked up the broken crown.

The item he so desperately wanted. The power he craved. The position he longed for…

"Oi, King."

Ichigo turned tired eyes towards Shiro. It shocked Shiro how empty they were, void of the life that usually shone so brightly in Ichigo’s eyes.

Shiro gulped and held the crown towards Ichigo. "You should really take better care of this."

Ichigo started shaking. He frantically tried to climb to his feet, but couldn’t make it to knees without falling back to the ground. "I know, I know… I'm sorry… I'm so sorry… I promise, I’ll do better..."

Shiro shook his head and approached Ichigo. He knelt next to him, placed a hand on Ichigo’s shoulder and put the crown back on Ichigo's head.

"It's okay,” Shiro reassured, pulling his shaking King into his lap. “I'm gonna help ya. You don’t have to carry the weight of that thing alone."

Title: Vanity

Pairings: ShiroIchi

Rating: M (smut)

Summary: Shiro wasn’t entirely wrong, Ichigo supposed. It was difficult to deny that he was strong when the evidence was right in front of his face, in the mirror. He’d put his body through intense training and had the muscles to prove it. Even at that moment, at the age of 23, six years since he’d last been in a war, his body was still strong. Ichigo had never stopped fighting Hollows, he walked to work every day, and sometimes he and Chad went to the gym together. So, yeah, he supposed he was in pretty decent shape. "Pretty good shape, if you ask me."

Summary: Banished from his home for daring to rescue a human girl, Ichigo must now live out the rest of his days in isolation, cursed to look like a sea monster. Instead of a tail, he has eight tentacles, and where his skin used to clear, he now has the tattoos of a traitor. But when he sees yet another human in need of help, this one with pale skin and golden eyes, he cannot stop himself from rescuing him no matter the consequences to himself.

Notes: This story is based on an idea I had a little while ago! And it might get spicy in later chapters, I'm not sure yet, so the rating is going to stay at M! :)

Title: Twin Mirrors

Pairings: ShiroIchi / some bromance ChadIchi

Rating: M (cause smut, y'know?)

Summary: Ichigo had been trapped in that damn mirror for so long, he didn't recognize the Spirit Society anymore. One thing remained the same, however, he could feel the other pieces of his soul calling to him.

Rukia tells him where to find a twin to the mirror he was sealed in, and Ichigo sets out to reunite himself with Shiro.

Based on the "Spirit Society" events in the mobile game, Bleach Brave Souls.
