Now, Dan's overstimulation. This is something that I have been so excited about since practically the beginning. By my lore, skeletons posess the senses of sight and sound as well as 1/2 the touch they used to experience, and most skeletons rapidly lose what they do have left over the course of a year. Dan is special cause someone else inhabited his body so it never zombified so he never faded. So after about six years of being a skeleton, hes pretty damn used to his dulled sense of touch and no smell or taste. Now imagine suddenly everything feels Twice what it used to, you've got two extra senses to contend with, and also you suddenly have to do things like breath and blink and swallow and cough and you've got guts and eyeballs and hair and all sorts of nasty things going on all of a sudden and like, can't you just imagine how overstimulating that would be? Like fuck the battle raging around me, i can feel every inch of clothing and it all feels like sandpaper and i can feel my tongue in my mouth and i sust bit my cheek and have several other wounds from a fight my body was just in but my touch sense is dialed up to 200% so everything hurts Double. Yeah no thank you, he is fully out of commission and he never does get used to it, now, he begs Hephzibah to kick him out and take his body. She refuses at first cause she thinks he's just offering so that she won't fade, but after the like, fifth meltdown he has bc of something like shirt is weird or i forgot to blink and now my eyes hurt or oh god i was having a meltdown and started crying and now theres tears and snot and gross stuff coming out of my face and everything hurts, then she's like okay yeah mlove let's get you out of there.
