Colours of Vaani
The sound of gentle anklets tinkled joyously in the ears of Brahma, who was in deep thought. The very feel of the sound gave Him a deeper clarity, the anklets belonging to His Eternal Ardhaangini Sarasvati, whose Lotus feet touched the open leaves of the Lotus flowers, they spreading wide just for Her, giving Her feet space, freely offering their reverential devotion. He knew Her feet would be stained red, deeper than the usual red, owing to the fact that She had just come from Vaikunta, where it was customary to send Medha back only with new kumkum applied.
He could envision the mischievous argument which would have broken out then, in the form of banter.
"Medha, can I please colour your feet red?" Lakshmi asked, eyes twinkling innocently, yet filled with mischief.
"Lakshmi, has Bhrata Narayana finally taught you mischief?" Uma teased, giggling when Lakshmi pouted at Her, though the mischief in Her Lotus eyes did not even falter for a second.
"Can I colour yours, Sri?" questioned Medha, Her own eyes, so very much like Shiva's, arresting and beautiful, shone in deep amusement.
"We all will colour each other's," said Sri instead, laughing when Uma gave Her a mock exasperated look.
"Yes, we will!"
"And we did, Swami!"
Her voice was like the pleasant waterfalls that soothed an injured heart and Soul, a gentle balm lovingly caressing and healing. Brahma opened His eyes to see His wife standing in front of Him, one foot pointed, the other flat, the curves of Her soles splendid in their beauty. Her standard half white clothing held the tinge of Vaikunta's Bliss. Her bangles had changed into a different set than the pearl ones She had worn that morning, now decked with rubies studded in gold bangles, a gift Sri had hand crafted Herself, no doubt. The necklace She wore was the same one she always wore, pearl in gold, a gift He had given Her right after their marriage, a symbol of Her purity alone being the reason for the shine of His golden nature that created the Universe with Her help.
He took in Her calm Lotus face, eyes lined with kohl and Her sindoor filled with the red kumkum He always placed on Her forehead, Her pottu beautiful and round. Her hair was plaited and decorated with jasmine, no doubt the handiwork of Uma.
"Swami!"
Medha's face had taken on a deep red hue, making Brahma adore Her even more. Jnanamayi Vidya was blushing just due to His adoration?
"Swami, stop pretending to be some normal human," pouted Sarasvati, touching His feet before sitting down on the Lotus to His left, ever Her position, the Lotus white, much like Her very purity.
"Priye, you make me know the value and meaning of Love. Then how can I not be human with you?"
Brahma's words made Medha smile, tender, loving, deep and shy; She was ever the newly wed bride with Him.
"Words true of you are true of me too, Praneshvara. If you are human with me, I too am only a woman with you. Not MahaDevi, as I am to most," said She, Her voice the compliment of His baritone, both soothing, gently loving the Universe like only the Creators could.
"Vaani, I have not the words to describe you," said Brahma softly. "All I can say is that anything I say is because of you, anything I act upon is because of you. If I am passive, you are the active part of me, ever watchful and present. It is your energy that aids this Creation that is part of my duties."
"Swami, an Ardhaangini is She who is forever a partner to Her husband in every single way possible. She has a share in every creation, every responsibility, in every happiness, and most definitely, in every sadness of His. She is His other half, like He Hers. How can we be different? What you wish is what I do. What I prompt is what you say. We are Complete together."
Brahma just listened to Her adoringly, His eyes conveying the depth of Love He felt for Her. She could see the reflection of His love in His wide eyes, touching Her face and causing a gentle caress on it. A smile on Her lips, She leaned forward to place Her head on His shoulder, the two seated on Brahma Deva's pink Lotus, lost in Their own Bliss, even as the sounds of Sarasvati's Veena sang through the Universe, awakening Joy, Happiness, Prosperity and Righteousness across the endless Brahmanda.

Because my last piece of writing got a lot of love and this what I present you now, was written an year ago and I do think my present writing (at least in Krishavyayam) is slightly better than this.
I'll be posting the hyperlink of this too in my intro post, because I realised it'd be tedious to scroll all the way to Vaikuntha. The other three writings (Lakshmis come home, Yamuna x Kanha, Rukmini - Satyabhama) have their hyperlinks already updated there. Alright I ramble a lot don't I-
══✿══╡°˖✧✿✧˖°╞══✿══
SatyabhaMadhavam
He was brawn, his biceps clasping his foe betwixt them as he thrashed him to the ground in a trice. His knuckles morphed white, blue-black curls which donned an iridescent peacock feather all the time bellowed at his outrage and danced upon his shoulders. His warm hazel eyes, which were oceans of compassion blazed like the dancing flames of fire, rage filling him at the mere sight of his imprisoned parents, at them from whom he had to part right after his birth.
A nine year old Satyabhama witnessed in awe, the glory of the son of Devaki, of whom she had harkened limitless narratives of. Of his bravery, his extraordinary strength and prowess at slaying demons which his own maternal uncle sent for the sole purpose of killing him right from his very first day in the world. The eleven and a half year old boy afore her chocolate eyes wasn't the cowherd of Vrindāvana, he was the Kāla of Kamsa and his tyranny at Mathurā. Vraja leela had come to a cease, and this was the commencement of his Mathura leela.
Gritting in his teeth, the immoral son of Ugrasena jumped to his feet and pounced upon his sororal nephew, desiring to push him to the ground with all his vitality, but to no avail. Satyabhama's Madhava stood like a bull among men, his feet on the ground as firm as his character and resolution. He was to be known as Yogeshvara after all, a title bestowed to him which made him the lord of yogis. Krishna was Leela Purushottama, the best among men.
"If you lose, my lovely nephew, then you die. And if I do, your guile parents and vicious grandfather will be pushed in the mouth of death, Krishna!" Kamsa sneered, reminding him the rules of this duel and casted a spontaneous glance on the executioners. "I'll kill you." every syllable he uttered dripped acid, his eyes now bloodshot.
"We shall see that, dearest uncle." Kanha scoffed, his eyes a swirling melange of his fury and the agony that sprang in him at the sight of his children who cried 'Trahi! Trahi!' over the years. Ugrasena, Devaki and Vasudeva, raised their palms in abhaya mudra, blessing the lord who bowed his head subtly, assuring them with a sempiternal seraphic smile. The shackled royals stood at a dais, awaiting to be guillotined the moment their Kanha would dispatch his vicious uncle to the afterlife.
Kamsa marred his face with a sickly scowl, growling as his nephew dodged his blow and twisted his arm, hauling him to the demesne once again. Krishna's clenched jaw twitched a muscle, the grim look on his face speaking of his ability of creation and destruction, his fierce form which the universe seldom witnessed.
Clasping her father's angavastram in her dainty fingers, Satyabhama concealed herself behind him, feeling her heart thump at the sight of a howling Kamsa as her curious eyes remained rooted to Kanha. Her eyes met his for a split second, and the daughter of Satrajita was swayed off her feet. She found in his eyes, a zephyr of his pure love kissing her heart. She knew that Bhudevi would forever belong to her Varahadeva, this form or the other. Much like how Hara-Gauri and Medha-Brahma belonged to each other alone - from the beginning of time, now and for the rest of eternity too.
'When have we ever parted, Bhamae?' he teased and she almost facepalmed at his mischief.
'Even at this time, hey Naatha?' The mystical curl of her lips and the scarlet of her cheeks were enough to amuse and confuse the merchant of Dvaraka, her father Satrajita at the same time as he failed to notice the warm and similar aureole the two kids radiated, being the parents of the universe.
'Never ever, my lord.' the corner of her lips tugged up, her chest swelled up in pride as she faced the duel arena once again. Her vaatsalya dripping doe eyes softened as she took in the form of a thoroughly exhausted Kamsa, catching his breath as he glared daggers at her lord. 'Convey Jaya back to our home in Vaikuntha. It is time.'
With a final groan, the manifestation of MahaVishnu pounced upon his maternal uncle, sending him flying back. A last, harsh blow of a fist and Kamsa breathed his last, his eyes rolling to the back as he was freed from his sinister body. Waiting with bated breaths, some adored Keshava while some loathed, some were left dumbstruck while others seemed pained.
A triumphant outcry erupted in the arena and Satyabhama released the breath she didn't know she had been holding in. Haladhara ruthlessly smashed Kamsa's supporters who attempted to ambush his baby brother. Resting his mighty mace on his shoulders, he gave a wide sarcastic grin to the ones who cowered away.
With a lone solemn glance, Krishna turned to the executioners of Kamsa who held his family and had been ordered to execute the instant Kamsa would lose. And within a fraction of second, Vasudeva, Devaki and Ugrasena were set independent, now breathing a sigh of relief.
Krishna gingerly strutted to his aunts with folded palms, Asti and Prapti who lamented and beat their breasts at the commencement of their widowhood by the corpse of their late husband. "Even though I tried my best to prevent it, it is I who has caused you great sorrow, Aunt. Please bestow me with forgiveness." his facial features bore torment and his gaze remained rooted to the floor, guilt eating him up from the inside. The daughters of Jarasandha then instantaneously left for their father's abode, Magadha. Satyabhama's shoulders dropped in dismay, knowing where this was going.
Mushtika, Chanoora and after the elephant Kuvalayapeeta, Krishna had passed the final hurdle named Kamsa like a child's play. Ultimately a new sun emerged from the back of the mountains, emitting rays that marked the break of dawn. A dawn of dharmarājya in Mathura. But, would it prevail for a prolonged period of time?
Grimacing, Satyabhama shook her head to clear her thoughts. For, for the world she had been a mere child and she had to keep everyone in that illusion, everywhen.
"Putri, come!" called Satrajit when he had scurried to the Yādava family. Pulling up a beatific beam, she twirled and hopped in her steps. Every step pulling her closer to where her Avyukta was, her giggles representing the ecstasy of the universe.
"What is your name, child?" Vasudeva smiled, noticing the way Kanha's gaze never left Satrajiti.
"Satyabhama." came the prompt, chirpy reply. The birds began singing melodies sweeter than honey as pleasant winds enveloped the arena.
Satyabhama, sang the universe, much like how the sound Om repeated itself over and over again.
Satyabhama, her name was like clouds weeping elixir, breathing life in barren lands.
"Satyabhama." Balarama repeated, almost in a whisper. "Beaming with truth. A jewel among women that you already seem like, little sister." he beamed as Ugrasena cooed at the child too.
"Indeed."
Devaki ran an affectionate hand in the midnight black tresses of the doe-eyed girl who in turn batted her eyelashes innocently, almost casting a spell on everyone. Krishna's feet drew him to his Bhama, her magnetism like that of the sun, and her petite frame only seemed to be squirming in front of his brawn one. A wine hued blush coated her cheeks as she lost and found herself in his lotus orbs at the same time.
"Satrajiti." he pronounced, his eyes bearing the purest form of love for his eternal consort.
'Priyatamā.'
"Rajkumar." she breathed, feeling him in her soul like she always did.
'Nātha.'

Hi Ambrose <333 can you talk to me about some Marathi wedding traditions? (Its for very important prongsfoot research 🙏🙏 thank youu)
Ooh yay Marathi weddings! I love them! Let's get started right away!
First things first: Indian weddings are almost festivals in their own right. There is a lot going on during wedding season, and it all condenses down into a very chaotic week that makes you feel like you're stuck in a whirlwind you never want to get out of.
I'm going to go off of my experiences with Big Fat Indian Weddings (which: I've seen many of those, each and every wedding I've been to has had around 2500 guests), so buckle up.
There are many rituals and events in an Indian wedding, and you can pick and choose which events you want, or you can have all of them, it's entirety up to you. There used to be regional traditions to weddings before, but now they are blending together, for example: Sangeet is a typically Punjabi affair when it comes to weddings, but every Maharashtrian celebration I've been to has held a Sangeet.
I'm going to give a sort of overview of all the things that take place and in which order, so here goes:
The Lagnaach Bedior: before any festivities begin, the horoscopes (Patrika) of the bride and groom are matched before any events. The family of the bride and groom get together and call on a family priest who checks their Patrika and details them out, offering advice for any difficulties that they may face in married life.
Then comes the Muhurta Medha; where the families of the bride and groom to be plant a tree as an auspicious beginning.
The wedding season starts with— you guessed it— an engagement ceremony. In Marathi, it is called Sakhar Puda (Sakhar– sugar, puda– packet) or Vangnishchay (verbal agreement). The bride is gifted with packets of sugar, clothing and jewellery, and the groom is given coconut, gold/silver coins, and clothes as well. The sugar signifies a sweet beginning of the marriage. Engagement rings, while not traditionally a Hindu thing, are also exchanged by the bride and groom to be.
Sometimes, a family may choose to have a pre- Sakhar Puda mehendi ceremony, it's not very common. A mehendi ceremony is when women who are invited to the wedding (hint: a lot of women) get together for a day to get their hands stained with mehendi. The bride is the star of the show, and her mehendi usually goes up to her biceps, and even her feet are stained. This is in general a very relaxed setting, with lots of cushions to lounge on and lots of food and refreshments (as is typical of any Indian get together lol food is important). A mehendi is always held before the main ceremony of marriage vows, though.
After the Vangnishchay comes the Muhurta— the priest is called once again, and this time a specific time is fixed for the beginning of the ceremony of vows. And then, the preparations begin in earnest, months before the wedding day.
Five Savashani (a married woman; the Hindi word is Suhasini) are invited by the bride’s mother on an auspicious day. They make turmeric powder and Sandege (pulses and spice powder) in mortar and pestle to be used later in the wedding, and Papad is rolled for eating. The women then hold a Rukhwat by decorating artistically and exhibiting bridal lehengas and sarees, jewellery, kitchen utensils, sweets and all sorts of bridal trousseau as a part of the wedding rituals of Maharashtra.
Next: the Sangeet! Sangeet is held anywhere between two days to a week before the ceremony of vows. There is food, lots of music and dancing to both traditional wedding songs and Bollywood songs, and it's generally a time for people to come together and have as much fun as possible. They're possibly my favourite part of weddings. (They're also not traditionally Maharashtrian, they're Punjabi, but lots of families still do it.)
Sometimes, the pre wedding mehendi is done right alongside the Sangeet, and other times it is done a either the day after Sangeet or after Kelvan (explained below). Again, lots of women come together and draw mehendi designs on their hands. Bridal mehendi goes all the way up to the biceps, and the feet are also decorated. It's very fun.
After the Sangeet comes the Kelvan, where the parents of the bride and groom to be invite each other's family for a meal. Gifts are given and aarti-puja for the Kuldevta (family deities) is performed, and in general it is a very simple yet beautiful affair. This is typically done two or three days before the wedding. The Kelvan ceremony invite also includes close family and relatives from both sides. The idea behind the ritual is to show respect and know each other better.
The day before— or sometimes the morning of, depending on the auspicious time— the ceremony of wedding vows, a Halad Chadawat is held. The bride and groom's respective families rub turmeric powder and water into their skin with the help of freshly picked mango leaves. It's a playful event, with lots of laughter and pranks. Halad (turmeric) is used for cleansing and purifying one's body before entering into a holy matrimony. It symbolizes the happy start of a new life together, and is said to protect the couple from any bad omens that may harm them before the wedding.
Now comes the actual wedding. This one's a doozy muahaha!
The day begins with a Puja of the Lord Ganpati, who is always honoured and worshipped at the beginning of any venture (there is a myth behind this, if you want to know). After the Ganpatidev Puja, the Kuldevta is also invoked to bless the couple.
The groom enters the venue of the wedding with a procession on the back of a horse, sometimes with a sword and scabbard strapped to his waist. The Seemant Puja is performed. The bride's mother washes the groom's feet and gifts are given to the groom's family by the bride's family.
The bride, wearing either a red or a yellow wedding Shalu (a type of saree) and with a Mundavalya (a string of pearls or flowers) tied across her forehead, performs the Gaurihar Puja with her parents. Rice is placed on the idol’s head as mantras and shlokas are recited. Prayers to the Goddess Parvati for a happy and prosperous married life are said.
The Antarpat ritual is the main one. A silk shawl is hung between the bride and groom while the Brahmin chants the mantras.
After the Antarpat comes the Sankalp, where the silk shawl is removed after the mantras are finished. The guests showers the newly married couple with Akshata (unbroken rice grains) to bless them with a happy marriage.
The Kanyadaan follows: here, the father of the bride gives her hand to the groom, who ties a mangalsutra around her neck and applies sindoor (red powder) to her forehead. The bride presses chandan (sandalwood) to the groom's forehead in return.
For the Saptapadi, the couple takes seven rounds around the holy fire. The bride is required to touch seven betel nuts placed on top of small mounds of rice with her right foot. Once the seven rounds are done, she places her foot on a grindstone, while the groom holds her hand or foot, symbolizing that she needs to be strong and he will always support her.
The bride’s father along with the couple pray to god for blessings in the Karmasamaapti (meaning "end of the act")
A grand feast fit for royalty follows the wedding ceremony, and there is again a lot of dancing and music. A separate Reception is also held, which is just another party so that the bride and groom— who had been busy with the wedding itself— can mingle with everyone who had attended.
.
.
And this is it! That's your traditional wedding! It's a lot of fun, and i absolutely love attending functions like these!
I hope you got what information you wanted, and my asks are always open for any questions anyone may have. Go ahead, people, don't be shy! If anything is missing or I've gotten something wrong and you notice it, please go ahead and correct me or add on, it'll be much appreciated.

Hi Medha. Would love to hear your ideas on what you'd like for Kathony in s3.
I would prefer they have substantial side plots for their relationship's growth. As much as I love domestic fluff, I don't eant Kathony to be wasted just as background characters to add some fluff. Their journey post marriage is also important and I would love to see:
1. Kate taking on her responsibilities as Viscountess, learning the ropes from Violet and Anthony being supportive. But I want her to continue ro be outspoken and authoritative
2. Kate supporting and helping Anthony in his responsibilities. In Kate, he has finally someone with whom he can share his happiness as well as his burdens. She is his partner, his equal.
3. Like your previous anon suggested, a pregnancy arc would be interesting especially the parallels with Hyacinth's birth.
4. Exploring Kate's backstory and truma, maybe she talks to Anthony about her fear of storms and he reads to her during one. Maybe a flashback of her life in India or when her father died. That was something that should have definitely been expored in s2. But oh well..
Okay, and maybe some domestic fluff as well. Because I love their banter and want to see them being free and fun and very much in love. 🥰
LITERALLY YES TO ALL OF THIS. BUT the thing is, like, i want all these things in measured doses though, i don't want storylines that last more than 1-2 episodes if that makes sense? because i do want the overreaching theme of them in s3 to just be them settling into a life together- one that fits them both and learning to give and grow and fit together.
that's why i think that banter and fluff is so important as a counter to the learning curve they'll be on, going from two individuals who are very much independent and bear the burdens on their own to realizing this other person is there for them to lean on and they're partners.
i'm just excited to see them in love and realizing that any issue they ever face now, they'll never be alone again.

To love or not to love is a dilemma all of us experience.
The ambiguity, authenticity and complexity in this film has blown my mind.
Tamasha is a visual spectacle.
Are you doing what you are supposed to be doing, or are you doing what you love?
Each of us has a story to be told, and understood.
Apni kahani mujh se pooch raha hai! Kayaar! Kisse darta hai?
Hai Kaun yaha? Tu bata kya hota hai aage
Kya hai Teri kahani.
Kya hai tere dil ke andar...
Bata kya hai tu?
I’m numb, traumatised and what not. I don’t know what to write or speak.
Tamasha, thus, is a ball of yarn that comes undone differently each time. Not every film is a treat to the eyes, some are meant to feed the soul.
Imtiaz Ali deserves kudos for his brilliant job.

Headphones - s.m pt ii
This is a (much longer) follow up to my first blurb headphones, which can be found here. Enjoy some more dad! Shawn x
Shawn had braced himself for the aftermath of his random and public announcement of his daughter. He knew that the two of you hadn’t discussed ever talking about her publicly, and definitely not on a whim as Shawn had. He knew that you wanted to maintain anonymity at places like the grocery store and the park with your daughter and the thought of him jeopardizing that made him upset at himself.
You couldn’t be mad at him; you knew he adored Frankie with every ounce of his being and would never do anything to intentionally hurt her or you. Heading backstage after the show only confirmed this. “I’m so sorry, I don’t know what came over me” Shawn started as you sat down in the greenroom. “I was just in the moment and when I spotted my two favorite girls in the crowd I wasn’t thinking and just started talking about her. I’m so sorry” He apologized while taking a sleepy Frankie from your arms. “So good dada!” Your daughter exclaimed, hugging into her daddy’s shoulders and nestling her face in his neck. “I put on my best show for you and mommy” He replied, leaving wet kisses all over the girl who was not as sleepy anymore, giggling up at her daddy. “I’m not mad Shawn” You replied, hugging into his side as he tried to calm Frankie down. “I know it probably wasn’t the ideal way for us to announce the existence of this silly girl, but it was bound to happen one day, plus it was super cute” You explained, never being able to stay that mad at the gentle giant.
Playing in New York City had its perks, like staying in a 5-star hotel for a few days far away from the cramped busses with your loud daughter and a bunch of crazy touring boys. Frankie loved all her uncles, but you knew everyone needed a break from each other sometimes. It also meant Shawn spent most of the first day off doing press and you knew that Frankie would definitely be bought up by interviewers because of her dads out of the blue announcement at the show the night beforehand. You couldn’t hideaway for a few days and just hope it would all blow over this time.
“Babe I promise Elvis is super respectful, I’ve known him since I was like 16 or 17, its safe for you and Frankie to come along” Shawn promised, smiling next to you in bed while your daughter played on his chest. “Me come dada?” She asked raising her head to look up at him, clearly understanding that her dad was trying to get her to come along to his first interview of the day. “Let’s see what your mommy says hey?” He laughed, brushing the curls out of your daughters eyes. You knew that she was obviously going to be a topic of conversation for quite a while. “Okay, but she’s not in front of the cameras under any circumstances okay? I like Elvis’ show so it’s probably a good way to start” You responded, trying to get used to what you assumed would become the new normal. “I’m gonna try and be as truthful as possible if that’s okay? There’s no point in lying about it now” He replied as you nodded your head in agreeance.
“For the 100th time it seems, please welcome Shawn Mendes to the Elvis Duran show” Elvis Duran exclaimed. He one of Shawn’s favorite interviewers and you knew that this was probably the safest show to do straight after the announcement. “Happy to be back. You guys know that this is my favorite place to come to every time I’m in town” Shawn replied sincerely. “Don’t start that with me Mendes, we have to discuss something serious with you after last night” Elvis sassed as you grimaced watching from behind the screens with Shawn’s press crew. You knew that Frankie would be bought up eventually, but you were given no time to prepare as she was about to be Elvis’ first topic. “Ahh yes, I knew this was gonna happen after my slip up last night” Shawn laughed, trying to be as truthful as possible as you’d previously discussed. “You have a daughter!” Medha, Elvis’ cohost exclaimed loudly. “When did this happen, Shawn?” Elvis asked, allowing Shawn to try and explain himself. “It’s a long story” He laughed before continuing to explain. “My wife isn’t in the public eye and we’ve tried to keep it that way for a long time. She shouldn’t have to deal with stuff like being harassed and followed in public because of my career so we decided pretty early on that I’d keep that side of my life pretty private” He continued, making eye contact with you as you blew him a kiss through the window of the studio. “Frankie came along around 18 months ago and it was extremely hard for me to not talk about her. That’s why I didn’t tour for a little bit, I wanted to be there for every step. I found it extremely hard not to talk about them though or show them off in public” He started to tear up. “I always talk about how I have the best job in the world when truthfully being a husband and a dad has far surpassed it for me. I love my job but when I saw her for the first time, nothing else even mattered and I just knew I would give up everything for her and her mom” By this point he was in full blown tears with Elvis passing him tissues. “You are such a dad Shawn” Danielle, Elvis’ other cohost laughed, clearly touched by what he was saying. At this point of the interview you were crying like a baby as well, your heart swelling from the affectionate words from Shawn.
“God I just love her so much and I’m so lucky. I know my wife agrees that she’s a total daddy’s girl and man, she has me wrapped around her little finger. I don’t think I’m now gonna turn into a full-blown Instagram dad but I’m really glad the secret is out in the open now. I know I’m gonna have to show you guys the 3 million photos I have of her on my phone after this. Man, I’m such a dad” He laughed, wiping away his tears. “I didn’t expect this outcome for the interview in the briefing yesterday Shawn. Did you and your wife plan the announcement on stage last night?” Elvis laughed. “Absolutely not. I thought she’d be raging but she understood that I was just in the moment and it just came out” He replied, listening as Elvis replayed the fans clips from the show. The show continued, discussing the tour and new music as you and Frankie stood outside the studio watching him with pure love.
As soon as the recording light turned off, Shawn rushed outside to grab the two of you to introduce to his trusted media friends. “Holy shit Shawn, did you just clone yourself but into a female version?” Elvis laughed as you handed your daughter to Shawn, who wrapped her hands around her daddy’s neck while hiding from the unfamiliar people. “She’s pretty cute hey” He laughed, wrapping his right arm around you, introducing you to everyone. “Missed you dada” Frankie sighed, hiding her face. “Missed you more, superstar” He replied before peppering her face with kisses as she lit up the room with her giggles. “Lights up the room, just like her daddy” You sighed with content, watching your two favorite people in the world.
Later that night, with Frankie cuddled up in the middle of your large queen sized bed, the two of you discussed the events of the day. “Do you think I should just post one photo of her, just so the media backs off for a bit?” He asked nervously. “I think that’s a great idea, I have the perfect photo” You grabbed your phone off the nightstand, showing him that photo of Frankie in a giant tour shirt, her daddy's face in the center, massive noise cancelling headphones and the famous Mendes smile from the night before. “This is perfect” He laughed, posting the photo with the simple caption of “My Frankie❤️” before turning off his phone, ready to sleep.
“You know Shawn if you want to keep referring to me as your wife in interviews, you better hurry up with a ring honey” You teased, as he cuddled into you from behind, being careful to not squish your daughter. You were completely unaware of the diamond weighing down his suitcase.

krishna and rukmini for that otp thing? also, krishna and satyabhama? (sorry, i love her)
Big mistake, Jag. Medha is going to eat your head now, and you can’t do anything about it. [Under the cut because the OTP ship meme is long af. I took the liberty to not answer questions I felt were redundant or irrelevant, but this is still quite big.] Thank you, little brother, for bettering my mood.
Krishna x Rukmini
Rate the Ship - Awful | Ew | No pics pls | I’m not comfortable | Alright | I like it! | Got Pics? | Let’s do it! | Why is this not getting more attention?! | The OTP to rule all other OTPs
How was their first kiss? – What, you expect me to write out a fairly NSFW scene here? Not happening, bro; you’re a minor.
Who proposed? – Rukmini. (Canon, lol.)
Who did the most planning? - …Balarama, for the wedding. Rukmini and Krishna both, for the…pre-wedding rituals (otherwise known as “abduction”).
Who stressed the most? – Balarama. Sigh.
Rukmi stressed back there, in the outskirts of Vidarbh, trying to devise ways to disrupt the wedding and kill Krishna, so that he could return to Vidarbh as the crown prince after all. #missionfailure
How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big. Fit for a Goddess, and more besides. Perhaps not so much in ostentation levels, but the songs and revelry of the Yadavas in their new (and less than magical) headquarters reached the very peaks of the Himalayas.
Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? – Er, the bride’s family?
Who is the one to instigate things? (yeah, they’re speaking of sex) - Both. They don’t really pay attention to who “started” it. As far as they are concerned, they don’t know where one ends and the other begins. (Yes, I did that. Fight me.) If you want me to be real mathematical and go by the average (and be less poetic, for the sake of the ship, Medha!), then: Krishna in private, Rukmini in public. The princess of Vidarbh is generally known as a considerate woman, and won’t traumatise you. It’s all very subtle, aankhon ki gustakhiyan type, only they do it so much better. They would laugh at the video: “amateurs”.
Who is the stricter parent? – Neither really, but perhaps Rukmini, comparatively. Both of them have issues with authority.
Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? – Most of you will disagree hotly, but Krishna. At least publicly. You cannot trace his kids back to him, unless you feel mischief is a genetic trait. While temperament is influenced by genetics to a considerable extent, it cannot be said-- I will stop.
Who is the more loved parent? – Haha, both. But the kids will choose their sides when they need something specific. Very situation-dependent. The Yadavas are opportunistic intelligent like that. <3
Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? – Both if the law is stupid. Neither if the children were stupid.
Who is more likely to suggest going out? – Krishna.
Who cleans the room? – Rukmini, I guess, speaking of just moving stuff around (you mean organisation, Medha) rather than actual “cleaning”. Krishna isn’t messy, but there is almost always an angavastra here and a signet ring there.
Who is really against chores? – Neither, really. Both will do what is required of them.
Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? – Krishna, to a small extent. He does it for the time being, always coming back to sort stuff out when the coast is clear. (I took it as a metaphorical question, disregarding that it was categorised under “chores”, because I can be like that.)
Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? – Rukmini would (bad childhood experiences), but that depends on who the guests are. Considering Dwaraka’s selectivity regarding such things, she doesn’t have much to worry about.
Who takes the longer showers/baths? – Krishna. It is a habit he cannot break (though he doesn’t take more than 25 mins) from his childhood days, bathing (read: playing) for hours sometimes, in the waters of Yamuna.
Who plays the most pranks? – Krishna, but it is nothing like his childhood days. Vasudev says he has been ‘tamed’. Balarama and Rukmini and Arjuna and Satyabhama and Draupadi and Satyaki and...well, people he’s closest to know how untrue that is, but after years of suffering, they let the older generation live in peace. Swarga knows the Kuru elders don’t get the same courtesy, and DwArAkA iS bEtTeR.
-
Krishna x Satyabhama
Rate the Ship - Awful | Ew | No pics pls | I’m not comfortable | Alright | I like it! | Got Pics? | Let’s do it! | Why is this not getting more attention?! | The OTP to rule all other OTPs The one ship I hardly ever get to see as I wish. No published author has managed it. People are rather polarised on this particular ship, I think. For the best portrayals I have read till date, see @avani008, @walburgablack and @allegoriesinmediasres.
How long will they last? - *shrugs* As long as they want to.
How was their first kiss? – Hesitant, careful, both wishing they could read each other’s minds.
Who proposed? – Satyabhama’s father, lol. Canonically, not a love marriage.
Who did the most planning? – Satrajit.
Who stressed the most? – Satrajit and Balarama. They competed on stress (and animosity) levels.
Who is on top? – Does it matter, really? They’re good.
Who is the one to instigate things? – Satyabhama.
Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? – Again, Krishna, because Satyabhama is even laxer than Rukmini and someone has to maintain appearances before the people (read: Rohini).
Who is the more loved parent? – Satyabhama, by that inch.
Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? – Satyabhama is like “if they got caught, they deserved to learn the lesson”. Krishna often finds himself agreeing. (Now, whether the lesson is about breaking the law or getting caught is entirely dependent on the situation.)
Who is more likely to suggest going out? – Satyabhama in times of peace. Krishna in times of strife. [Otherwise Satyabhama is sure to put an arrow in someone’s butt... but the issue is not that. It is that Krishn would agree. Low tolerance for stupidity.]
Who is really against chores? – Satyabhama.
Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? – Satyabhama doesn’t sweep anything under the rug.
Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? – Krishna. (Nah, only in comparison. Satyabhama can’t be bothered. One time that Narada came to visit, she didn’t even come out of her bedroom. At least Krishna cares enough to say hi.
What are their goals for the relationship? – Reached.

Asking you what you would be loved to ask. *Sly smile* Arjuna for option d in Fairy tale challenge?
Hey, Medha!
I’ve thought SO LONG about this question. (You know my habit of finding parallels for Arjun everywhere, right?)
I came to the conclusion that the story of William Tell is the one that reminds me of Arjun. Of how I wish Arjun’s story went sometimes.
William Tell was a Swedish folkhero who rebelled against a corrupt nobleman, and forms the Swedish Confederacy, You know my headcanons of Arjun’s pilgrimage, right?
Tell was arrested by the corrupt nobleman for not saluting him. He was sentenced to death and told that if he shot an arrow at an apple at the centre of his own son’s head, he’ll be let go. Tell does that. He nocks two arrows, actually. On the off chance he kills his son by mistake, he had intended to kill the nobleman by the next arrow.
This puts in my mind the whole Draupadi Swayamvar and the Jayadharatha kidnapping Draupadi and Arjun’s reaction to it. As well as Jayadharatha Vadha.
I also sometimes wish Arjun had stepped up against his brother like Tell did against the nobleman.
Yeah, so. That’s your answer. This is not strictly a fairytale, more a folktale, but Arjun reminds me of the story of William Tell.
Thanks for the ask, @medhasree!

Conversation
Medha Gandhi: When you meet a girl out at a bar like that, how do you introduce yourself? Like "Hi I'm Niall Horan, I'm super famous?"
Niall: No, weirdly enough no [laughs]. No I try to do the complete opposite.
Elvis Duran: Do you ever lie? If they don't recognize you do you tell them--
Niall: Oh no I've done, I've told multiple lies.
Elvis: Like who have you been? You're Niall Horan Musician, but what if you said "My name is Charlie..."
Niall: No I go with Niall. And then I remember one night we went--I don't know if you know but I went backpacking in Asia in like 2016 with two of my cousins, we were just going around with rucksacks, staying in hostels, kind of like, it was really cool--but I was going around and we'd go to a bar at night and if I could feel that no one was recognizing me I'd just go alright that's good. So then I'd go--my cousin works in property, and he like, works for WeWork, or whatever, and I'd say that I worked for WeWork with him [laughs]. And he would just give me some facts on the job that he does so I had enough to talk about, and he'd jump in on the conversation if I got stuck, so I was never a singer for ten weeks in Asia.
Elvis: That must have been fun though, being someone else for a minute.
Niall: Ah it's great, great fun yeah. I love telling compulsive lies just for the laugh [laughs].
#ntmy promo#niall horan#flashback to how we got like two blurry pics total of niall in asia#https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_I_4MO3nk0#if you couldnt tell from the names

Qotd: what is your biggest dream that you want to achieve no matter what??? Aotd: My biggest dream is to have a big bookshelf full of books that I can show off to people😂😂. Hello, people. How are you all doing today??? How's life??? I am not doing so well as I have been receiving bad news after bad news and trust me it sucks. I hope to be well and happy soon but I just feel depressed today. Now on this note let's start this post, shall we?? Book Info: It End With A Dream by Medha Nagur ( @medhanagur ). Pages: 184 Genre: Romance genre. This Book Review Tour is In Association With @outsetbooks Blurb: Yadnya- 26, Tall, dark, not so handsome. A lawyer aspiring to become the youngest MLA of Telangana state. He comes from a messed-up family, or so he believes. Yashika- 23, Tall, fair and beautiful. A doctor from Coorg, the land of sophistication and perfection. What more, the same is reflected in her work and in her presence. He has everything that he could possibly ask for in life, even the love of his family by the grace of God. But… She has a loving father, a coffee estate to look after, a degree to fulfil her dream to become an Obstetrician. But…Yadnya and Yashika first met in their childhood and then parted ways three times. Already. But fate keeps bringing them together. And it did yet again. But the question is, will they be together for good this time or will they part again, God forbid, for good? Ratings: 🌟4/5 Stars🌟. Review: This book has an exceptionally unique story. I thought that this book will be another 'old wine in new bottle' kind of romance novel but I am surprised to see a different kind of concept in it. The story was really fast-paced and it did confuse me in the starting but as I kept on reading it, the story became easy and the plot was understandable. I think this book was more of a theatre script than a normal novel and the drama and the character developments were so perfect that I liked it a lot. I will be reading more books by this author. Hope you enjoyed my review. Soft asks - 3, 6, 7, 13, 20, 27, 30? I am sorry for giving you so many; feel free to pick and choose! We have had a few interactions, and I just wanna get to know you better. ^.^
Hey Medha! I hope you are doing well. Please don’t apologize for the asks!! ( I love attention :P).
13 and 20 are answered here https://iamnotthat.tumblr.com/post/624647004259221504/1-7-13-23-24-for-soft-asks
3. what’s your favorite candle scent?
I think this would be sandalwood, (such a Kannadiga answer) and oud wood which is usually used in Arabic incense and fragrance (it has very polarising views).
6. say three nice things about yourself (three physical and three non-physical).
Ohh okay for the physical traits I would say my hair ( uncontrollable and curly) and my skin (dark) because they are not what is considered conventionally beautiful in our society but I have worked hard to accept them as a part of what I love about myself and now I am better for it (seriously fuck eurocentric standards of beauty). One more would be my eyes because its a part of my death glare.
Non-physical would be that I am fiercely loyal, empathetic, and low tolerance for nonsense.
20. what do you want most in the world right now?
I want people to learn the right lessons from this pandemic (also for it to end already)
I want my contract for work to become permanent so that I can move into an apartment by next year at least (pray for this blogger!) and I want my parents to find some peace of mind.
27. which character would you want to be?
Wow, this is hard because all my fav characters live in terrible worlds. Okay, so one female character I would like to be is Leslie Knope because she is unironically nice. She’s such a ray of sunshine, and her friends and her husband are all so wholesome and are actively working towards a better world.
A male character I would like to be is Damainos from Captive Prince because I feel like he has had such good character development from a well-meaning but problematic privileged prince to the King. A genuinely nice character who is sometimes blinded by his own privilege but ultimately would always stick by his honor and would do anything to help his people. Also, he is super snarky and thirsty on the main. On a more shallow note, I am 5 ft tiny woman and I would love to be a big muscular dude as big as a house and who can yeet a two-handed sword accurately across a river.
30. what reminds you of home (doesn’t have to mean house… just things that remind you of the feeling of home)?
The smell of agarbatti in the mornings.
Thank you for the asks!! I would like to know you better as well so feel free to dm me anytime!!

★ Saiee Manjrekar: I am surprised Salman Khan sir found simple, sweet Khushi in me!
Dec 14, 2019
Saiee Manjrekar, who plays actor’s leading lady in third instalment of Dabangg, reveals she’s a little monster at home; also recalls how he’d given her tiramisu on a flight After launching Sonakshi Sinha in the 2010 cop-drama, Dabangg, Salman Khanis now set to introduce another fresh face in the third instalment of the franchise, Saiee, daughter of actorfi lmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar. The newbie admits it’s a big deal for her to do her first film opposite the actor.
“I have always been a huge fan of Salman sir, so this is special, she smiles.
Saiee has always wanted to be an actor and her theatre background has given her the confidence to face the camera. “I opened up as a person and shed my inhibitions,” she informs, adding that last March, she confided in mom Medha that she wanted to act. “Coincidentally, a month later, I learnt that I was being considered for Dabangg 3 and started prepping for the screen test.” A prequel, the film juggles between the past and present, showcasing the metamorphoses of Chulbul Pandey into a Robin Hood cop. Saiee plays Khushi, the girl Chulbul is in love with, early in his life. “I’m surprised Salman sir saw sweet, simple Khushi in me because at home, I’m a little monster,” she giggles. A few months after the screen and look tests, the 21-year-old heard from Salman. “He knew how excited I was and told me with a straight face, ‘You’re doing the film.’ For a while, it didn’t sink in. Then, when I went to his place, where Prabhu sir (director Prabhudheva) and the rest of the team was gathered, Salman sir introduced me, saying, ‘Yeh dekho, Dabangg ki heroine aa gayee'.” It felt surreal to be called that,” Saiee reminisces. All through the making of the film, buzz was, Saiee’s elder sister, Ashwami, was the chosen one. She informs that her sister is a chef and has no interest in acting. “I remember, her Instagram was flooded with messages till July 16, when an article cleared the air about the film being my launch pad,” she smiles, taken aback when told that the said article appeared in Mirror. While Ashwami is not on the scene, the film has Saiee’s real life parents, Mahesh and Medha, playing parents to Sonakshi Sinha’s Rajjo. She also got to share the frame with her parents and describes the experience as magical, saying, “I can’t explain in words how emotional it felt shooting with them.” The cop-drama also features Sudeep, a big name in Kannada films, as the antagonist, and marks the return of Dimple Kapadia, who played Chulbul’s mother in the original. “Imagine working with all these personalities in my debut! I couldn’t have asked for a better start,” Saiee exults, saying the story telling makes this film unique. “It will be a nostalgic journey for all Dabanggfans. The prequel fits perfectly into the first and second part,” she promises. Years ago, while travelling with her dad to Punjab for the shoot of Salman’s Bodyguard, she was hungry and throwing tantrums in the plane as she didn’t want the usual chocolates and biscuits, but a nice dessert. “Suddenly, Salman sir, who was seated next to me, asked, ‘Do you want tiramisu?’ I’d always loved him as an actor and a person, but he also became my favourite person because he gave me tiramisu on a flight,” she beams at the memory. So, what’s next? “Honestly, I haven’t thought of anything yet. I trust my parents and Salman sir blindly; they know what’s the best for me. I know I’d love to act in a film directed by my father,” she ends, flashing another of those smiles which must have wooed her leading man.

TWO HEADCANONS FOR YOUR MUSE THAT YOU’VE NEVER TOLD ANYONE : 1. in her younger days, HER actually interfered with intergalactic politics on a huge scale. she staged coups and revolutions, sparked prison breaks, puppeted leaders of multiple civilizations, and made entire alien races “disappear” just for funsies. she quit after a few gigayears, out of boredom, and went quiet-- hence her current mythological status. 2. from the surface of HER’s planet, Medha, the night sky is completely black. no stars are visible at all, due to the molecular cloud she’s deployed surrounding the system. it’s more than a little unsettling.
THREE THINGS YOUR CHARACTER LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME : 1. HER plays a lot of video games. sometimes she plays using her vessel and a controller rather than manipulating the game directly with her programming-- it’s her own version of a handicap, although she’s still an absolute bastard to play against. 2. she compiled/recovered quite a bit of security footage from zim’s former base, and has fun stitching together montages of his more embarrassing moments. 3. she really enjoys baking as a scientific endeavor. she can make a really simple but mouth-watering batch of cookies one day, and the next she’s doing shit with cake that a human wouldn’t even be able to conceive of.
SEVEN PEOPLE THAT YOUR CHARACTER LIKES / LOVES : 1. @di-stri-ai the number one bestie 2. @exirkeninvader the adopted prodigal son 3. @cubicscubedemon the Worst(tm) 4. @legalizingeverything the adopted prodigal daughter 5. @vortship the curious test subject 6. @mr-pulvis the gamesboi 7. canonically speaking, HER has been known to express a certain liking for Gaz, effusing such generous praise onto her as: “she’s the only human with her head screwed on right.”
TWO THINGS YOUR CHARACTER REGRETS : 1. sabotaging @exirkeninvader‘s plans... well, she regrets being caught. 2. being unable to find any medhastrians to exact her revenge upon. she’s been tracking the few who fled the planet before its meltdown her entire life, but so far has come up empty-handed.
TWO PHOBIAS YOUR CHARACTER HAS : 1. swarms of small bugs (ants, gnats, little cockroaches, etc.). the idea of anything getting underneath her metal casing and nesting there makes her want to scream eternally. 2. no longer being needed (or wanted) by her favorite individuals.
TAGGED BY : @vortship more or less!
TAG TEN PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME: anyone who wants to! plus all the people i already tagged :>
