Mending Warped Designs: Deconstruction Site

Paris, France

Nino slid a box off the top shelf, kicking the closet door closed as he dragged the box over to his desk in a study he shared with Alya. There were few things that made him nervous these days; being nigh invincible meant that the world was running out of things to seriously hurt him with. But sitting around while Alya was on patrol without him always set his teeth on edge.

Maybe it was just a reminder that his shield had its limits.

"Where the hell did I put that stupid DVD…" Nino muttered, rifling around the box for a movie he promised Chloe he had tucked away somewhere. If he had to go back out to the living room and admit that it would be easier to rent it on the internet, he would never hear the end of it. And the last thing he needed was to give Chloe one more thing to needle him over.

The fact that she was still crashing with them made things all the more complicated.

He liked to think he and Alya were on the same page about the direction their life was going; college, marriage, careers, and kids (maybe). But Chloe, as she always did, seemed to complicate things to the point where the map he had in his head no longer worked for them. Or maybe he was just pushing off responsibility onto Chloe so he didn't need to worry about where he stood with Alya.

Rifling around in the box, Nino paused as his hand landed on a worn newspaper clipping stuck to the underside of a picture frame. He could see his younger self, smiling with his arm wrapped around Rena Rouge on one side with a bony black arm jutting out from behind the frame on the other. Carefully, he tried to tug it out, wriggling his hand gently to avoid ripping it in-

"Did you find it or do you owe me thirty euros plus the cost of Zoolander on streaming services?"

Chloe's voice over his shoulder startled Nino and the newspaper came apart in a sudden rip with a Chat Noir's disembodied arm dangling off the corner of the page.

"Ooh, hope that wasn't important," Chloe said with a wince as Nino fished the other half of the picture out of the box. It was an old pic taken around the time they were sixteen, fresh off an Akuma fight and looking happy to be alive. On the other side, Ladybug had her arm wrapped around the waist of a weathered-looking Chat Noir.

"It used to be," Nino said, laying the torn picture on the table and lining it up as best he could. "Hasn't been for a while, I guess."

Just had a thought of Luka and Kagami having a competition on who got told the worst lie back when they were dating Marinette and Adrien

Luka: she told me she had to cancel our date last minute because she had to go christmas shopping with her mom. It was June.

Kagami: he said he couldn't go to my archery competition because he had dinner with his dad.

Luka:...ok you win.

Luka: Marinette once told me that her cat was on fire and I believed her for half an hour

Kagami: Adrien said that he forgot that he was meeting someone for a movie.

Luka: That doesn't sound so-

Kagami: We were at the movies

Le Chat Et Le Serpent - Chapter 53

Please note that the entirety of this story is a ****TRIGGER WARNING***** - mentions of child abuse, graphic violence, alcohol use, mental health, suicide, suicidal ideation, self-harm - basically a constant blow of pain towards the characters - as well as some "steamier" moments.

Chapter Summary:

Two different meal gatherings. I feel like it’s probably lunch in both cases. Either way - people are at tables ordering things and talking!

...I got distracted and didn't cue up the rest of the Chapters (ahh!) For anyone that is reading this on Tumblr, I will continue to post here until it is all up - but the completed work can be found on Wattpad if that's the medium you like to read!

Darkness.

All he could see was darkness.

“Hello?” Luka called out, his voice echoing further and further away.

With his hands out in front of him, he carefully stepped forward. The light that seemed none existent reflected off a puddle of ebony on the ground.

Is this, oil? Luka questioned as he dipped his finger into the mysterious liquid. It was thicker than blood but darker than coal.

“You killed him.” Plagg’s silent voice carried through the space around Luka.

“Plagg?” Luka spun to see the Kwami.

Plagg’s eyes glowed neon green and ruby red. Ink was pouring down his body, as if he was decaying yet keeping the integrity of his body.

“You. Killed. Him.” Plagg darted towards Luka, shaking in fury.

“No, no, we’re saving him! Didn’t we save him?” Luka pressed his palms against his temples.

Adrien’s back was to him. “You left.”

Luka wheezed as he woke from his nightmare, his head pounding. Throwing his hand to the side, it hit empty sheets.

“Adrien? Adrien!” Luka tore the sheets off the bed.

“Luka, it’s okay, it was just a nightmare.” Sass floated before Luka, trying to divert him from his panicked search.

“No - but - where is…” His voice trailed off as he noted the unfamiliar surroundings. He was in another hotel. He was alone. Of course he was alone. That’s all he ever was.

Crawling around his room, he searched for Adrien’s design. Did Adrien still love him? Would he ever want him back after everything? After the way he treated him?

As he did nearly every morning, he held the paper up to his chest. Even if Adrien hated him, he was there for a reason. He would find the answers. He had to.

Shifting uncomfortably in his seat, he ordered a drink while waiting for Nathalie. He knew that she didn’t like how long they were gone either, but at least she could go home every now and then. The implications of being gone for too long for Nathalie meant that Agreste Industries suffered; the implications of Luka being gone too long meant that his career kept growing. Jagged Stone’s son! A voice like no other! He writes his own songs!

When he was younger, he used to dream about playing for an audience. It felt empty when he lived it as a means to prevent himself from accidentally causing Adrien’s death.

Nathalie had worked with Luka’s manager to get him to play in the places they needed recon, a stipulation that Luka and Nathalie requested in his contract. They would often split up, he would search the places that were closest to his venues, whereas she would travel to the places that they could not justify taking him sprinkled with sporadic visits to France to ensure that Agreste Industries was still on track.

Luka’s growing popularity had come in handy in getting locals to speak. Late night VIP visits in Bejing had led to drinks with triads; together, they ‘joked’ about these ancient mysterious powers. Laughed about the family that travelled to the United States, thinking that the rings would be able to harness their capabilities in ‘The New World’. The family failed miserably with strange health conditions and the inability to access family or guidance. There were entire groups in America dedicated to obsessing over this mysterious magic, even a house preserved under a different name. The fact that the rings were maternal caused a plethora of issues. The houses and possible historical events were always linked to the name of the husband, even when the twins kept their last name.

Luka looked towards his nearly empty glass and regretted not ordering two. He’d do that the next time the waiter came by.

He was especially nervous today, this meeting was to review what they would need before they flew to the States. Luka needed the answers to be there, because he didn’t know how much longer he could handle it. Nearly everyday he woke up and would never know where he was. With each passing day, it was harder to discern which was the nightmare he was living and which one he was dreaming; the only thing that was certain was that he didn’t have Adrien.

The waitress seemed to recognise him as he ordered another. With every drink she passed him she had lingering eyes and, even more noticeable, lingering hands. She would run her fingers along his as she let go of the glass. A simple shoulder touch. Each one was a sad serenity. A soothing reminder that someone found something within him, a stabbing pain that the hands never belonged to the person he wanted.

“You got here early.” Nathalie announced herself as she painfully lowered to the chair across from Luka.

“Yeah,” Luka finished his second drink, pulling the third closer, “I want to go home. This is how we do it, right?” He sighed before taking another sip.

“Yes, Luka. Maybe we can find the answers here. I know that our investigation has not been as fruitful as we first hoped, but I think it’s merely a matter of time before we find our answer.” Nathalie pulled out her notepad and set it on the table.

“ Only a matter of time. Such an interesting concept. You say it shouldn’t take long, yet it lasts forever. Every second, the ticking of a clock, such a measurable concept. But still, somehow, our time is constantly out of grasp. All we ever seem to know is that it’s running out.” Luka tipped his third drink into his mouth.

Nathalie ran her finger along her notes. She understood the boy’s frustration, but she just wished he would keep a straight head. It was hard to ask, considering everything they found seemed to only add complications. The most important pieces they seemed to find were:

There is no certainty to know if the cataclysm is used if the thrower of the weapon won’t die; but there is a near certainty that it would destroy the rings, releasing the dark forces within.

The rings will continue to grow stronger and more potent the longer it has a holder; when it is not a holder of the blood they will start to take control of the person themselves.

The longer they are used against a twin without being on the hand of another twin, the creatures get angrier towards the twin themselves.

Adrien was supposed to be the next to have the next set of twins. And the rings up to that point always found a way. They hypothesised that perhaps a shift to paternal genetics could indicate a shift in the power or the curse, but then the rings would have not had such a strong effect on Marinette.

Whenever someone tried to forcibly remove the rings, the person would stay in tact, but the thief would burn.

“We will get there, Luka. Just stay strong. If Marinette keeps digging her teeth in, there will be nowhere that he can be safe.” Nathalie attempted to be hopeful.

“If he’s not safe anywhere, then what difference would it make if I was there?” Luka shook his head at her as he grabbed the smoke from behind his ear.

“Luka, I don’t know the exact ramifications of your relationship, but I know that you two can’t stay away from each other for long. If Marinette does anything to take control of his house, any reminder of you can lead to a consequence. We need to maintain trying to reduce his sentiments to keep him safe.” Nathalie pushed at the bridge of her glasses, slipping from the nervous sweat starting to build. She was starting to worry that they were never going to find a solution.

“You got it. Keep making sure that he cares for me less everyday. It’s my favourite thing.”

Luka finished his fourth drink.

Marinette tapped the counter as she waited for her order. She knew that Adrien liked this restaurant and thought she might be able to catch a glimpse of him. He kept secluding himself from work and beckoning him from afar was a strenuous task. It would only work part of the time; she couldn’t quite figure out the concoction to effectively treat him like a fetched object. But when he heard her voice, he was nearly helpless.

Scanning the tables, her stomach sank. She’d been hoping to see Adrien, but the fact that he was ignoring her messages to have brunch with Alya and Nino was offensive. They used to always go out together. Why would they not invite her? They were always trying to push her out and it was pulling on her last nerves. As soon as her order came up, she stormed towards the table.

“Hey everyone ,” Marinette shone an oversized feigned grin. “I seemed to miss the note for brunch!”

Setting down her food on the table, she invited herself to the empty seat beside Adrien.

“Oh! Sorry Marinette, we were just talking to Adrien about something personal… about him! About his uh, uh,” Nino stuttered under the pressure of a lie on the spot.

Frustrated that Nino had even decided to open his mouth, Alya took over. “He wanted to know if we’d spoken to Whayam lately.”

Adrien attempted to nod convincingly. Alya had made a smart decision by picking Whayam. He’d been closer to Alya and Nino than Marinette by a stretch; and there were two different ways that Marinette could interpret it, depending on what she’d heard from others. Either she could interpret as Adrien’s attempt to move on, or she would interpret as Adrien following up that Whayam was abiding by the terms of his restraining order.

“Oh, he was so sweet! But he always seemed like he was just a bit too extra. I think he might have been a bit too obsessed. He’s obviously not the right choice for you to get over Luka.” Marinette spun her food around her fork, finishing her sentence with a mouthful.

Are you fucking serious? Alya had no idea what to say. Marinette had effectively dumbfounded her.

Watching the expressions, Marinette could tell there was a layer they were avoiding. Alya was whitening her knuckles from how tight she held her fist, Nino was grabbing uncomfortably at his collar, and Adrien was mysteriously fascinated with the appearance of his drink. They were all avoiding saying something.

“What’s going on?” Marinette tried again, hoping that her friends could just simply be honest with her.

“The Adrien thing!” Nino pointed to Adrien, who’s eyes grew wide as if to say, bro, don’t put it on me! I’m just as weak as you!

The hormones in Alya were threatening to burst into a downfall of rage and sobs. She didn’t want Marinette to know yet, she did not trust her in the slightest.

Nervously, Adrien tried to accept the reins from Nino. “Yeah, I’ve been quite the recluse since the shit with Luka and design week, you know how it is. I was just starting to feel… desperate… I guess?” Aware that his argument was not convincing he worked to veer them off topic. “So, you never answered me! What were the bets on the song? How many said the song was about Zoe and how many said the song was about me?”

Adrien’s head was starting to throb, but he tried to keep forcing himself through it. This stress was worth it, because it wasn’t his secret to share. Plus, if he started getting a nosebleed, he would have the perfect excuse to leave this tense situation.

“Well, Mr. Full of Himself Agreste,” Alya turned his head towards him, “The deciding vote was that it was metaphorical and it was really hard for him to leave home. His love is probably just France.��

“Well you’re no fun!” Adrien stuck his tongue out, which Alya proceeded to grab.

“I think the song was about Zoe.” Marinette stated with false confidence. “I mean, he’s covered in her tattoos, I think he cared more about Zoe than he ever did Adrien.”

Forgetting precisely what she had a hold of, Alya pushed harder on Adrien’s tongue, forcing him to incomprehensibly whine. Releasing his tongue she forced herself to not look at Marinette. She tried to consider what it would look like from an outsider’s perspective. That they were just friends for a long time and had a quick fling that fizzled out. Marinette didn’t really know the story, but the comment was ruthless either way.

“Well,” Adrien moved his tongue around in his mouth, trying to recover from Alya’s grip, “I think that tips the scales, doesn’t it?”

“If the tattoos say anything it’s that he’s still in love with Chat Noir, let’s be real.” Alya eyed Adrien, letting him know that the question to where Luka’s heart sat was permanently inked on his body.

“I always forget about that - it seemed so - staged, you know?” Marinette turned to Adrien, as if he would be the one to agree with her.

“Yeah, no, totally,” Adrien, the civilian, agreed to the best of his abilities.

“Enough about Luka, guys!” Alya put her arms out, nearly toppling over the glassware.

“Okay, then why don’t you guys tell me why you’re actually here today?” Marinette scrapped the last bit of her food. She could sense the tension rip back over the table, but she wasn’t leaving until she got an honest answer.

“Girl, we already told you. Drop it.” Alya voiced it as a threat.

Crossing her arms, Marinette leaned back in her chair. “Adrien?”

“Mmm?” Adrien looked up over his mimosa that he’d been trying to use as a diversion again.

“Tell me, what secret you three were talking about before I sat down?” Marinette pointed towards Alya and Nino.

Alya pushed her head in her palm. Even by the way it was asked, she knew that her assumption was correct. Marinette was knowingly using the rings to control Adrien.

“Alya and Nino are going to have a baby.” Adrien replied uncontrollably. He swung his hand over his mouth. “OH MY GOD, I am so sorry!”

“DUDE!” Nino shouted towards Adrien.

Alya petted Nino, not wanting him to be mad at Adrien. “It’s fine, Nino. It’s fine. We were going to tell Marinette as well, but didn’t think it would be under such circumstances.” She shot Marinette a look, letting her know she did not appreciate that the secret had been forced out.

“THAT’S AMAZING!” Marinette shouted as she held her fists by her face.

Adrien was holding his jaw and moving it around. This kept happening. Things he didn’t want to say or do. Headaches, nosebleeds, they all were increasing, becoming a regular part of his life. He didn’t understand what was happening to his autonomy.

“You have to keep it a secret, better than ol blabbermouth over here!” Alya tried to laugh off the situation, to mask the flames of fury that were rolling within her.

“Yeah, I’m so sorry, I have no idea what overcame me.” Adrien pushed around his cutlery in his napkin.

The air was tensely silent as Luka’s song started playing on the speakers.

“This guy!” Adrien groaned, bringing his head to the table.

“You know, Adrien, I really don’t think you should be that bent out of shape about it.” Marinette offered her opinion on the situation.

“Yeah, like you’re one to talk.” Alya stared daggers at her in warning, pregnant or not, she would fight Marinette.

Sighing, Marinette stood up. “Well I am super happy for you guys, but I should be on my way. Adrien, drive me to work, please .”

The cutlery rolled from the napkin as Adrien stood up, the cloth material still between his fingers. “Sorry, I will transfer you guys the money for lunch!” Adrien exclaimed, his voice backed with terror. As he walked towards the car, he still pinched the napkin.

“Aweh, I’m sorry,” Marinette pouted as Adrien cleaned his nosebleed while sitting in the driver's seat of his car.

“Yeah, I have no idea what’s been going on lately, but they’re coming back with a vengeance. I keep a beach towel in the back seat just in case.” She laughed at his sentence, but he really wished that he was joking.

“Adrien, I um… I’ve wanted to tell you something for a long time.” Marinette tapped her fingers on the dash of the car.

“And when I’m spewing out blood seems like the best opportunity?” Adrien turned to her, holding the drenched piece of fabric.

“I never seem to get you alone… so, I guess so.” Marinette nodded while watching her rings gleam in the light.

Adrien bit his lip. He was worried he knew the direction this was headed. He knew he had a crush on him when they were younger and for some reason it seemed to have resurfaced as of late. More and more she was calling on him and trying to get him into compromising positions. He wanted to believe it was just in his head, but it was far more difficult to run away from in this moment.

“I’m in love with you, Adrien.” She looked through the windshield at the street that was past the parking lot they were in. Desperately, she wanted him to say it back on his own.

“Marinette, I really, seriously appreciate the sentiment -,” before he could finish speaking Marinette overrode him again.

“Say you love me too.” Her eyes glistened with tears.

“N… Ugh, wha-,” Adrien was struggling against the headache bursting at his skull.

Deeply breathing, Marinette spun her rings. “Say it.”

“I love you, too.” The words were poison leaking from his lips.

The tears continued to fall down her face as she weakly smiled. “I think we’re perfect for each other.”

“Fuck!” Adrien’s was bleeding through the napkin, completely starting up again. He kicked the door open and grabbed the towel from the backseat. There was a moment of debate, should he run away with a full-sized towel over his nose or get into the partially hidden cover of his car. Unfortunately, his pride won.

Returning to his seat with a huff, he turned to her with a flaming rage, and a rubber ducky towel pressed to his face. “Marinette, I don’t know what happened, but I-,”

Her entire face seemed to meet at the middle as she scrunched, spinning the rings again. “Stop it! Say we should be together!”

The tug at Adrien threatened to black him out if he didn’t comply and something told him not to risk it. “You’re right! We should be together!”

Sighing in relief, Marinette tapped her hand on the dash, and Adrien finally recognized it. He finally understood what Marinette was doing to him. The humiliation during design week. Ridiculous requests. She was wearing his parents' wedding rings; no wonder he listened to Gabriel so well.

They’re making some progress afar - but it is really starting to grate on Luka. Notice here that he’s early. Just for future reference.

Alya and Nino wanted to ask Adrien to be the god father, but didn’t have a chance!

Here it is - the part that we start to enter pure anger - Adrien being forced to tell Marinette that he has feelings for her (even though he obviously doesn’t). Now Adrien is going to be in a constant “gun at my head” situation. If he tries to go for the rings - it could very quickly turn bad news bears.

Dear God by Avenged Sevenfold is actually one of the first songs I thought of with Luka leaving; having to deal with it feeling like there’s nothing there for him and he just misses Adrien and hopes someone will watch over him.

Felix Graham de Vanily has never imagined the day when he would be actually in love - but it actually happened and he wasn’t even prepared for it.

Needless to say, it hit him like a truck and sent him to heaven.

This was his heaven, being on a big bed with you and playing with your hair while you watched your favourite show on Netflix.

“I told you he was going to be the bad guy! I knew it all along!” You exclaimed and jumped up, startling him but ultimately, making him smile.

“It was quite obvious my love.” He chuckles and you pout, crossing your arms while you plop back down next to him.

“But he was my favourite character Felix! And he’s probably going to die now too.” You look up at him and he can’t help but smile at your adorable, pouting face.

He cups your face in his hands and you instantly smile when you see his smile. It was contagious. He rarely smiled so you just feel so much joy bubbling inside of you when the blond smiled at you and you couldn’t help it.

He quickly kisses the tip of your nose and you giggle before crawling on his lap, peppering his face with kisses and completely ignoring the show you were watching.

The room was filled with little kissing noises and giggles coming from both of you.

His hand moves from your waist to your thighs, caressing the fabric of the white thigh high socks you were wearing beneath your pink tennis skirt.

His touch comforted you and you close your eyes, resting your forehead on his and humming gently.

“You’re so beautiful.” He whispers out of the blue and you gently open your eyes, staring right into his.

A blush creeps on your cheeks and you part your lips, inching closer to his face to kiss him.

A thought bursts through your head move your lips could touch and you smile brightly.

“Can we go feed the ducks again?” You ask him, your eyes bright and excited at the memory of the last time you went with him.

He took you to the park last time and you fed the ducks together because it was something he enjoyed doing as a child with his nanny. You didn’t know that such a simple activity could bring him so much joy and you were looking forward to the next time you two did it.

His face lights up and he nods, “Of course darling.” He replies and you excitedly hop off of his lap. “Wait you meant right now?” He asks, furrowing his eyebrows.

You were already lacing up your boots so you look at him over your shoulder and pout. “Yes?” You question.

“I thought we were going to..you know..” He looks away sheepishly.

You smirk at him. “Don’t worry Felix, you can have me all to yourself later, I promise.” You say and finish with a wink.

He nods and blushes, letting out a small chuckle.

You finish up putting on your boots and wait for him to get ready before the two of you head out of his house hand in hand.

You two walk through the park, his hand in one of your hands and in the other hand you held a small paper bag full of bread for the ducks.

Children were playing all over the park and people were chatting around you. It was nice to get out of the house with him sometimes, even if he does prefer staying at home.

“Oh look it’s Felix.” A male voice said which was followed by laughter.

You feel Felix tense up and he freezes.

You were quite confused as to what was happening so you decide to turn around and see two guys around the same age as Felix and you.

“Please ignore them my love, let’s go.” He whispers to you and you furrow your eyebrows at them before nodding to Felix.

“I see you got yourself a little girlfriend.” They speak again and you can hear their footsteps behind you. “You’re making a big mistake dating that little pansy babe, come with us and we’ll show you what a real man is like.”

You were livid.

You couldn’t control yourself so you turn around, letting go of your boyfriend’s hand.

“A real man huh?” You say and cross your arms over your chest, walking up to them. “I’d rather die than date one of you hideous mother fuckers.”

They were taken aback, wide eyed, probably not expecting you to talk back.

“Felix is more of a man than you ever will be.” You stare right into the bully’s eyes. “When was the last time you ever got some huh?” your lips curl into a smirk.

“I-i…uhm, well..” he stutters and the other nudges him, mouthing something.

“That’s what I thought.” You say and turn around. “Don’t ever come for my boyfriend again.” You state and grab felix’s hand, looking up at him.

His face was beet red, his eyes were wide and you couldn’t help but grab the back of his head and kiss him right then and there.

He smiles against your lips and you pull away before the two of you walk away from them.

“That was..” He clears his throat. “hot.” He blurts out.

You cover your mouth with your hand and giggle.

The two of you continue your day near the lake, laughing and throwing bread for the ducks to eat.

He made you feel safe and now you were at peace knowing you did the same to him too.

Luka

You’ve been waiting for this night for a long time.

Your boyfriend’s first opening gig with his band.

It wasn’t something grand and big – I mean, it was just a small pub downtown but you knew this was a big night for him and so it turned out to be a big night for you too.

You were ready to show him all your support and love, wearing your favourite flowy dress and his lucky guitar pick hanging on a silver chain around your neck.

Your friend Marinette was by your side, she even designed the costumes for everyone so both of you were super psyched for what was happening.

You made your way to the back stage and saw your boyfriend, Luka, sitting down on a chair and tuning his guitar, nodding his head to the beat.

“Luka..” You whisper and tap his shoulder.

He opens his eyes and looks at you, a smile instantly making it’s way on his face.

“There’s my favourite girl.” He says and gets up, hugging you tightly while you giggle. “I’m so glad you could make it.” He says quietly.

“I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” You say and kiss him on the cheek.

He kisses you on the forehead and pulls away from the hug, wrapping an arm around your neck.

“Hey Marinette.” He says and smiles at her.

The bluenette grins at the two of you. “Are you excited?” She asks.

“More like nervous.” Luka replies and let’s out a heavy breath. “I’m not usually this nervous but damn, I can’t believe we finally got a gig.”

You look up at your boyfriend with adoring eyes. “Don’t be nervous Luka, I know it’s going to go great.” You reassure him and he smiles down at you, nodding.

Luka is a really calm person so seeing him nervous means that this really means a lot to him. He has been practicing for weeks and you couldn’t be more proud of how far he’s come.

You gasp at the sudden realisation of something and move away from his grasp, rummaging through your little back pack.

“A-ha!” You say and pull out a blue bracelet that you made yourself.

You look up at Luka and smile before handing it to him.

“I made this for you and I want you to wear it tonight for goodluck.” You say, your cheeks heating up when you look at him as he stares at the bracelet you made. “Since you gave me your lucky guitar pick for me to wear, I thought I should give you some luck of my own.” You look down at your shoes sheepishly.

“You’re an absolute angel, have I ever told you that?” He says and grabs your hand, making you look up at him.

You glance down at his wrist and see that he already put on the bracelet.

You get on your tip toes and give him a small kiss on the lips.

“Thank you.” He whispers and tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear.

“Guys get ready in 5” Someone says from the curtains and Luka instantly stiffens up.

You give him one last kiss on the cheek before walking next to Marinette.

“Goodluck.” You say and give him a reassuring smile as you wave at him.

He nods at you and runs a hand through is hair before grabbing his guitar.

You and Marinette leave back stage and make your way to your seats.

The pub was small so it easily got crowded with people.

You sigh and play with your hair. “I’m so nervous for Luka, Mari.” You tell Marinette.

She rubs your shoulder to calm you down and shakes her head.

“He’s going to do just fine girl, you’ll see.” She says and gives you a bright smile which comforted you.

The background music playing in the pub fades away and the lights start to dim.

“La bulle proudly presents, Kitty Section!” A voice says over the speakers and whistles and claps fill the room.

The curtains open and it reveals the band in their designated places.

You glance at Luka and smile at him before the music starts.

Rose was in front, singing her heart out to their original song and Luka was behind her, nodding his head as he played the guitar with passion.

You admired him and his talents, he used to write and sing so many songs for you, little did you know that one day he would actually be performing in front of a real audience.

Luka was vocalising to the chorus with rose and his eyes suddenly find yours.

He looked amazing.

The clothes that Marinette styled them with, his skin glistening under the lights and a few strands of hair stuck to his forehead because of the sweat.

You bit your lip as you kept looking at him. He was so into the song, so immersed in everything and it was so fucking hot to you.

He noticed this and his lips curled into a small smirk.

“Wow.” You breathed out quietly.

Marinette was beaming at the band and clapping. “I know right!” She laughs happily.

You grinned and sat up as they ended and clapped.

The whole pub was clapping for your boyfriends band and you were so happy for them.

Everyone was walking to talk to them of greet them and all you had on your mind was Luka, you just wanted to hug him and congratulate him and maybe even make out with him in the bathroom.

“Excuse me.” You mutter as you try to make way towards him.

Your eye catches a blonde girl in front of him, talking to him and laughing.

You freeze and something bubbles inside of you.

Jealousy?

You weren’t the type to be jealous but you couldn’t help the feeling.

You decided not to think much of it and gulped, continuing to make your way toward them.

“Can you like, sign my boobs?” You hear her say and giggle.

“Pardon?” Luka blurts out, looking at her with wide eyes.

Nope. That was it.

You quickly move between the last few people and walk up to them.

The girl started to unbutton her shirt and you furrowed your eyebrows.

Before anything else could happen you made your way to Luka and grabbed his shirt, kissing him.

The girl stopped her movements but held her hand on the buttons of her shirt.

You pull away from Luka and watch him as he blinks a few times, dazed as to what just happened.

“go show your boobs to someone else you skank.” You spit out, narrowing your eyes at her.

She scoffs at you and flips her hair before walking away from you guys.

You clench your jaw and Luka grabs your hand.

“Hey, are you okay?” Luka says and you huff.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” You look away from him and frown.

“You know, I wasn’t going to sign her boobs.” He says and shrugs.

You look at him and roll your eyes. “Yeah.” You murmur.

“Didn’t know you could be so jealous.” He says in a teasing voice.

It was your turn to scoff and you look at him. “I wasn’t jealous.”

“Uh-huh.” He says and you stare into his eyes for a moment.

He was smirking at you, so calm, while you were red and angry inside at the thought of some bitch showing her boobs to your boyfriend.

Next thing you knew though, you were sitting on the sink of the pubs bathroom, making out with your boyfriend.

Miraculous Rant.

Where the hell do I begin…

Season 1:

The show was decent in season 1. Some episodes were just mindless filler and probably weren’t needed in the grand scheme of things but they helped us get introduced to the characters, we got to know the plot and the world our characters inhabit. It was good. The love story between Adrien and Marinette was cute and off to a touching and fluffy start.

Season 2:

This season was immediately better than season 1. It had character development, it went more into detail about the lore surrounding the Miraculous and we got to learn more about our characters and their families and the villian’s motives. (HM really went from “I wanna destroy the world” to “I wanna wake my wife from the coma she’s in”).

We got to see new heroes which was fun! We got new characters like Luka and Kagami.

The season finale was epic! The Miraculous team all taking down all the previous villains in the show was awesome. At the end we even got Mari kissing Adrien on the cheek. It was great! (Even though it clearly reset itself in season 3 cause it’s never mentioned again)

I really enjoyed season 2 and it’s probably my favourite out of the 4.

Season 3:

Season 3 was kinda good and kinda bad. We had some great episodes but this is where the show took the wrong turn.

Marinette lost some of her character in season 3. This was the start of her descent into being the Queen of Mary Sues. It’s also where she was crowned the Queen of Stalkers! Her character took a fucking nose dive in this season. We had so many moments that just creeped me the fuck out.

1. The ENTIRETY of Puppeteer 2 🤢🤢🤢 I could not stand that episode. When we reached the dreaded statue scene I physically had to pause it like 10 times. That scene takes about 3 minutes to watch… it took me about 20. I cringed so fucking hard because of the secondhand embarrassment I was feeling. That was not sweet, it wasn’t romantic, it wasn’t the least bit cute… it was a train wreck! It was creepy and stalkerish and it’s a wonder Adrien even spoke to her again after that atrocity!

2. LB delivering the present in Chat Blanc. Two words: STALKER BEHAVIOUR!!! I genuinely could not believe my eyes when I saw LB run her hand across everything in his room and then actually SNIFF Adrien’s pillow. Like WTF!!! 🤮 I’m pretty sure whoever was responsible for that scene clearly thought it was the equivalent of when someone gets their S/O’s jumper or something and it still smells like them. But this turned it up to the nth degree and way passed the line of sanity.

Adrien was extremely under-utilised in this season. He didn’t really do anything. The only episodes we got about him didn’t really focus on him. ‘Felix’ whilst focusing on Adrien’s family didn’t really feature him. ‘Party Crasher’ while a beautiful mess was more about Mari trying to get into the party than the party itself. ‘Chat Blanc’ again focused more on Mari trying to fix her mistake.

We got even more heroes in season 3, not in the right order but they were there. It was fun seeing everyone’s transformations.

Season 3 was also the season of destroying redemptions. The big one obviously being Chloe. Season 2 was setting up this amazing redemption for her and before it could go anywhere it was wiped off the face of the earth during the finale (and don’t worry we’ll get to that dumpster fire later). Gabriel also had any remaining sympathy ripped away from him. How did the guy who stopped Gorizilla from letting Adrien die when he only thought he was CN go from that to using his son like fucking baseball in Chat Blanc when he knew his son was CN. Like I knew you were a shit father but you still cared about Adrien in some way shape or form but after that episode I can see I was clearly mistaken!

Before we get to the finale I want to talk about probably my 2 least favourite episodes from this season: Desperada and Reflekdoll

Desperada:

I fucking hated this episode! The only good thing was Luka getting to be Viperion, other than that this episode was awful!

Marinette was a selfish cringey bitch. Completely ignoring Luka to gush about Adrien to Jagged. Brushing Luka off as soon as Adrien turns up. Immediately cuddling up to Aspik and flirting with him when she needed to focus on the akuma (something which she has told CN not to do many times before)

Adrien, I love you kid but Jesus Christ you were a dumbass in this episode! Aspik’s design was terrible! Aspik himself was awful. I know Adrien tried his best but dude you were given the Black Cat miraculous for a reason! He shouldn’t have tried to be Aspik but even when he did he should’ve called it quits after like 5 resets not 25,913 times.

The only person with a brain this episode was Luka. So well done guitar boy, gold star!

Reflekdoll:

This episode was annoying! It was basically the start of the Marinette can do no wrong streak! When they have to swap miraculous I was happy cause it meant we got to see new outfits and see how they each handle the different powers. It would also serve as a way to get LB and CN to see what their partners role is first hand. Until we actually get to it…

LadyNoire is of course amazing and needs no introduction to using this new miraculous that she’s never used before. She’s cocky and confident and basically just LB in Chat’s costume with his powers.

Mister Bug on the other hand is just useless. He struggles with this new miraculous (like anyone would!) and is stupid and goofy. He has to rely on LadyNoire to solve the lucky charm. They swapped miraculous so shouldn’t that mean that Mister Bug should get the lucky vision and the creative powers that the earrings give him.

Overall Reflekdoll is awful. It was shitty writing and the start of Adrien getting the short end of the stick.

And now the season 3 finale… Just what the fuck. That is my only reaction: what the fuck!

Chloe you poor fucking child! What did they do to you!!! So much potential SQUANDERED!!!!

What was the point in bringing in all these different superheros with unique skill sets, costumes and transformations if you were just going to immediately reveal them to the main villian so they can’t be used again. That’s stupid! If you wanted the shock value that is “Oh no HM knows some of the heroes identities!” Then keep it as only some. Have like Max, Kim and Kagami outside trying to find somewhere to hide but unfortunately they get hit. Or Nino and Alya are hiding but the windows open and they get hit. Have some of the heroes hide so they’re fine! Taking away every ally of LB and CN’s was a stupid move! (Even if they wanted Alya to become a spy have her as part of the like 4 that get revealed or something, it’s not that difficult)

Season 3 was 50/50 for me

Season 4:

So I know season 4 isn’t even halfway through yet but so much is wrong with this season already that I need to vent!

So my biggest problem with this season of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybitch and Rena Rouge, I mean Rena Furtive… shit, Chat Noir! Is that CN is basically pointless! Adrien has been flung over a rainbow and is only remembered when he’s needed as

1. Marinette’s love interest

2. Someone for LB to shout at

3. A plot device

He has basically been sidelined. Partners my ASS!!!

Adrien is being blown off by pretty much EVERYONE! It’s coming to a point where this poor sweet summer child is going to crack! And it is not gonna be pretty… I definitely feel like the writers are leading up to a big fight between CN and LB which will probably end with Chat Blanc 2.0.

I REALLY HATE MARINETTE/LADYBUG!!!! In Season 3 I said it was the beginning of her descent, well in season 4 she’s done it. She’s descended, she has hit rock fucking bottom. She is so unlikable I don’t actually care about her as a person. She has entered full blown stalker territory it’s only a matter of time before she starts killing people for even looking at Adrien! Not to mention that Miss Mary Sue here can’t do anything wrong! She never has to suffer the consequences of her actions, she is always perfect no matter what she does… it pisses me off!)

She’s the Guardian now big whoop. I know what it feels like to be stressed and under pressure so I do understand why she needed to tell someone about it all. I just don’t see why that person had to Alya! Especially considering she has someone by her side every akuma attack going through pretty much the exact same thing. I know she’s worried about CB happening again but as I said before the more she leaves him out the more she is actually pushing that to become a possibility! Plus it makes sense for them to reveal their identities now since LB is now the guardian it’s probably a good idea to know who holds the cat miraculous, she knows everyone else’s identities!

Even if she didn’t want to tell CN her identity she could still explain the situation to him. If she didn’t want to tell him anything (which she doesn’t anyway) then instead of Alya she should’ve talked to Luka! Her boyfriend for all of half an episode (thanks writers…). He’s so sweet and caring and clearly loves her so much! If she wanted someone to confide in then why not choose the person you clearly wanted to date but couldn’t because of that very reason! (Yeah I know it’s kinda a moot point now since Luka knows both identities but still). He wanted to try and comfort her so it would’ve been the perfect moment for it. That way you could still date him and he’d know why you had to suddenly leave dates halfway through! But no break the boys heart instead!

Adrien and Marinette were both such fucking idiots in the first 2 episodes. Like why would you start a relationship with someone when you know your heart isn’t in it! That’s called leading someone on and is a really shitty thing to do to someone! No wonder Kagami and Luka ended up akumatized!

Another aspect of season 4 I don’t like is Rena Furtive. Yes ok having a spy for your side is a good strategy but when said spy basically tells an important member of a duo that the 2 person job doesn’t involve them… it just really ticks me off! Alya you are the sidekick to LB and CN! Chat isn’t!

Miraculous specials:

The Miraculous World specials suck! Shanghai is better than NY but still has its problems. Both specials add nothing to the overall plot/lore of the show apart from trying to set up some weird cinematic universe…

NY special:

One of the worst things I’ve ever had to sit through! The plane scene alone I paused a few times. I want to say well done to Mari for trying to move on from Adrien (especially considering I’m pretty sure she’s dating Luka at this point) but I can’t help but think it’s just to give her character some pointless development that goes nowhere and doesn’t actually develop anything!

LB can pretty much fuck off at this point! I hate her! She put all this shit on CN (like she doesn’t know exactly how that feels). It’s like why does she get to go off on holiday but CN can’t. LB should’ve stayed in Paris for 3 reasons:

1. She’s recently become the guardian meaning it would probably be best that she stayed with the Mircle Box

2. She’s the only one who can purity the akumas

3. If she’s so sure about being the boss then she should take responsibility of Paris and the citizens.

What really pisses me off about her is what she says to CN during the big fight. “I can’t trust you”… surely you could have this conversation afterwards since you’re supposed to be focusing on taking down the villian! Plus everyone bashes Adrien for giving his miraculous up in this episode but look at it from his point of view: His partner and best friend just said she couldn’t trust him which in turn caused him to cataclysm someone and essentially kill them. That’s gonna take a toll on anyone, especially a 14 year old! He probably thought in that moment. “Ladybug needs a partner she can trust and someone who won’t mess up and kill someone. She needs a better partner.” It makes sense he renounces his miraculous! I’m just upset that in doing so he loses Plagg who is pretty much his only friend who actually understands what Adrien goes through at home.

When Uncanny gets CN to come back, LB acts like it’s not her fault in the first place that he feels inadequate! She didn’t even apologise for saying what she did! He apologised for lying about not being in Paris but nope LB wasn’t in the wrong at all and didn’t have anything to apologise for 🙄… (yes the LadyNoir hug was amazing but I just wish it was under different circumstances!)

Also are we not gonna mention Gabriel Agreste almost starting WW3??? He wanted to launch a fucking missile!!!

Shanghai:

As I said before, this special is way better for several reasons.

We got MariChat! (Best side to the love square imo). This special actually had some semblance on a plot. Fei, whilst a bit op, was a cool character. It was nice to see Wang Cheng again.

However once again there were many problems.

A big one being Marinette yet again! (What a shock! 😒 I’ll come back to this). Another was that once again HM’s motivation has changed. How is getting the Prodigious gonna help bring back Emilie??

Back to Marinette… The fact that the words “Huh?! There must be some kind of mistake! I always know what's up with Adrien! … His 5 first names and every corresponding name date, his yearly schedule, even his shoe size! If there were anything to know about him, I would know it!” come out of her mouth whilst she is flipping through his schedule that she keeps in her pocketbook is a hugh red flag!!! That is not cute or adorable! That’s messed up and Adrien needs to fucking run and maybe possibly go into witness protection… Marinette is a full blown stalker! Not to mention the GPS she has (that could just be the find my friends app on iphone but still).

It also is extremely rude of her to use not only her great uncle’s birthday but also a lie about wanting to know her Chinese heritage in order to go to Shanghai to stalk her obsession, I mean crush. This could’ve been avoided if the Dupain-Chengs were going to Shanghai for the purpose of celebrating Wang Cheng’s bday and then Adrien just so happened to be in Shanghai.

Also this means LB left Paris without telling CN! I know CN did the same but again he can’t purify the akumas. Plus he has a reason he couldn’t stay in Paris, Mari just went cause her crush did. Great guardianship there Marinette.

This was also the last time CN actually did something. Even if it was for a short while before LB and her female partner took over (the beginning of a theme…)

Other things:

There are 2 other things that I wanna say but felt they needed a separate bit.

In Furious Fu, Su-Han has a rule book that he uses to tell Marinette which rules she has broken. At the end of the episode he tells her that is she breaks 1 more rule that he will take the Miraculous and the Miracle Box off her, which fair enough but wouldn’t it be helpful to leave the rule book with her?! How can she be wary of not breaking anymore rules when she doesn’t even know what the rules are??

Now the big one: Master Fu…

Where do I even start with him. He is so fucking manipulative!! He is Asian Dumbledore!

He decides to leave these extremely powerful jewels in the hands of 13 year olds! Surely leaving the miraculous to someone in their 20s would’ve been better!

He clearly favours LB over CN even though the Ladybug and Black Cat are supposed to be partners! Wouldn’t it make sense for them both to be in contact with the guardian from the start?? He randomly started introducing rules such as if LB and CN find out each other’s identities they would lose their miraculous… what kind of bullshit rule is that? It also came out of fucking nowhere!

Final Thoughts:

But to summarise all of that: Miraculous is on quite a steep decline but I’m invested at this point and I am genuinely curious as to where the fuck this will go.

Marinette needs professional fucking help before the writers even consider canonising Adrienette cause at the moment she is not what Adrien needs!

Adrien needs to stand up for himself! He needs to pull LB to the side and tell her what he feels and what he’s going through cause he is on the precipice of a breakdown!

(Small point that’s more to do with the fandom: when searching for fanfics it’s really annoying that Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir Bashing is a tag but Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug Bashing isn’t. Why does everyone think Marinette can do no wrong???)

One thing it would be probably funny to see: how do you think episodes where Adrien is the most salted over would be with Felix? Like, Copycat won't really happen because Felinette with the cat = reverse crush, plus Felix would be annoyed, but understanding of Ladybug in Syren and since Felix friend group would be more close knitted, Glaciator also would be a simple outing. Though, him as a model? Pretty unlikely.

Let's see.... mindful, s4 I have hardly watched anything of, so that's going to be more limited and based on what I hear and I haven't been paying attention to a lot of it. Maybe someone else can fill in those cracks?

Season 1

Dark Cupid, Felix would never confess while there's an active akuma about. It's really the worst time and place. Wtf Adrien were you even thinking?

Copycat, yeah nothing would happen. Unless Theo really does something that rubs Felix wrong, he wouldn't do anything and let LB handle Theo, who at the core just wanted to tell LB that he appreciates and admires her.

If Bubbler did happen, Felix would actually let that party happen, but he'd move it inside the mansion and have the attendees trash it just to irk his uncle/father.

Refleckta, Felix would push Chloe off the bleachers if he's next to Juleka and she's trying to climb over Juleka to get next to him.

Antibug, Felix would be right there with his partner in being skeptical of Chloe's claims about Vanisher.

If Volpina did happen, Felix wouldn't immediately trust Volpina and raise a HIGH brow at her giving them immediate commands like she's the one they should answer to. He'd also be incredulous of Lila's lies to him about being a miraculous holder and showing him a necklace to prove it. So hella sus, and him having no patience for it, Lila now hates him in this version. Felix says bring it on. He's ready to throw hands.

Season 2

Collector, Felix would be asking his uncle/father questions about the book and not let that go. Also if Gabriel pulled him from school as a punishment, Felix would go make that public. And even if Marinette lets her suspicions of Gabriel possibly being HM go, Felix isn't going to let that go. He'll continue to snoop.

Prime Queen, he'd be with Ladybug in shutting down Nadja's effort to get them to admit they're a couple.

Glaciator, it depends if he has a crush on Marinette or not. If so, he'd readily attend even if Gabriel said no. Maybe even as Chat if he can't be seen in public. Glaciator would still happen either way cause a girl said no to the man's ice cream. How sensitive can you be?

Despair Bear, that "friendship" with Chloe would still be over at the end. Felix is long done humoring her.

Syren, Felix threatening to quit on a flooded Paris won't happen. He knows the importance of secrecy and if LB has an edge to help, fine. Side note, because he takes things more seriously, by this point, he already knows about Fu.

Frozer the akuma would happen, but not the double dates and him getting mad at LB.

Queen Wasp, Felix is going to verbally destroy Chloe for nearly causing a train accident.

Malediktator, Felix would join the festivity and Chloe would be long gone.

Season 3

Chameleon, Felix wouldn't let that go, join Marinette in getting back at Lila. He'd aim to destroy her while Marinette just wants her to stop lying.

Weredad, Felix wouldn't lead the mood on by getting Marinette a rose and attending dinner if he was planning on rejecting Marinette. He'd clear up that issue ASAP before Tom could get too carried away.

Desperada, Felix would actually use the Snake well and not spend time trying to flirt or tell his partner who he is. So no Snake Luka.

Gamer 2.0, seeing LB stressed and overworked, he'd help her wrap up this akuma quickly.

Puppeteer 2, he wouldn't pretend to be a statue in front of Marinette at all. If anything, they'd go make fun at the atrocious designs of the akumas together and make fun of Hawk Moth.

Chat Blanc, unlikely to even happen. If he found out Marinette was LB, he wouldn't use that info to go date her right away. He'd go to talk with Fu as she is now compromised with his knowing and between the two, she needs to stay a secret. And if they did date, when Gabriel pulls that bs of "you can't date my son blah blah", they'd just do it anyway cause screw Gabriel. And when they fight and Gabriel pulls that "me or her!", it's going to be Marinette hands down. Felix doesn't even like Gabriel. He finally has a chance to punch Gabriel in the face. And if Gabriel makes him Chat Blanc, he is dead. Deady dead dead.

Ladybug, he'd be on the situation ASAP with all the lies and framing Lila was trying to cause to Marinette. Or if it's at him, he's going to destroy her. Two can play at that game, and unlike Marinette, he's down for pulling dirty tricks too.

Season 4

Lies wouldn't happen as I don't see Felix and Kagami dating. He also defintiely wouldn't go in checking on to see if people feel like becoming an akuma cause wtf Adrien.

Hack-San, he'd be suspicious of Scarabella, but instead of going on the attack, he'd hear what she'd have to say then reach out to LB through his baton to hear if she can back this.

Felix wouldn't be bothered about Ladybug relying on other heroes. And he definitely wouldn't be sitting on the couch, sulking away.

Upcoming Miraculous AUs/Fanfics:

Hello everyone, I had this list suck in my drafts for a very long time, but now is the chance I finally reveal to you all the AUs, Fanfics, and combination of both I have had thought for the longest time.

Some are still a WIP, but regardless, I am still happy to show you all what I plan to do ASAP. ^^

Anyways, here they are!

The Baby I Really Want:

Chlonette (Chloe/Marinette)

Chloe loves Marinette, but Marinette is married to Adrien. When they can’t bear a child, it’s up to Chloe to step in and not only be the surrogate mother they need, but she may also discover that she wants to be a mom herself. If only it was hers and Marinette’s baby though

*The Queen Bee and the Vesperia:

Chloe/Zoe Friendship

Inspired by the Barbie adaptation, "The Princess and the Pauper," and the original Mark Twain story, Chloé and Zoé are two different, but similar looking girls and one day meet as they talk about their lives and how different they are. When Chloé, after being Queen Bee on a mission, is kidnapped and taken to Hawk Moth and Mayura, it’s now up to Zoé to use the bee miraculous and pretend to be Queen Bee until the real hero is found.

Understanding the One and Only Miss. Chloe Bourgeois:

Chlogami (Chloe/Kagami)

Post Season 3 finale. After losing her miraculous for good, Adrien does his best to cheer up his childhood friend. However, he brings along a friend. How will Kagami react to the snobby blonde? Will she learn that there is more than just a black heart behind her?

Sunset Dance:

Viperbug (Viperion/Ladybug)

“You’re a really good fighter, Ladybug!” The red insect hero blushed. Viperion then looked over the horizon. “Hey look, it’s sunset.” He eyed over his leader. “You know, besides being a Miraculous ally, I’m also into music.” The blue snake led out his hand. “Would you like one dance before we go?” All Ladybug could do was stare in astonishment as she was locked into his shiny blue eyes.

Haunted:

Chlonette/Chlobug/LadyBee (Chloe/Marinette; Chloe/Ladybug; Ladybug/Queen Bee)

Post Season 3 finale. No longer Queen Bee, Chloe Bourgeois has restored to anger, despair, and worst of all: betrayal! She now hated Ladybug, she wanted revenge, but she can’t. She feels miserable, but still has some care left in her. She feels haunted by their memories together. Inspired by the Disturbed song.

Ashes:

Lukole (Luka/Chloe)

Post Season 3 finale, Named after the Celine Dion song. The miserable, angry blonde sobbed in front of the blue-dyed hair musician. “What, what’s wrong with me?” Luka felt unsure on what or how to feel, but he knew he couldn’t just abandon Chloe despite her atonements. “Does beauty come out of ashes?” She quietly asked him

The Rise of FemHawk:

(May or may not write this; depending how I view the S4 Finale when I get to it)

Chlonette/Chlobug/LadyBee/QueenNoir/Chlodrien (Chloe/Marinette; Chloe/Ladybug; Ladybug/Queen Bee; Queen Bee/Chat Noir; Chloe/Adrien)

After learning who Hawk Moth really is, Chloe steals the Butterfly Miraculous and uses it to warn Ladybug that she and Cat Noir are in danger, but Ladybug doesn't believe her. "You already sided with the bad guy, so why should I believe you now?" Ladybug asked with skepticism in her voice.

One Night With You:

ChloNath (Chloe/Nathaniel)

Chloe needs a male model for fashion designing, Nathaniel needs a female model for art class. Both agree to do it for the other, but on one condition: A date to an art museum! Will they be able to learn to work together or will there be something else?

Mia Bella Melodia:

Lukanette (Luka/Marinette)

“Italian food sounds good,” Marinette said with a blush in her face. “Cool, see you tomorrow night mia bella melodia.” Luka replied with a very accurate Italian accent. “What does that mean?” The pigtailed one asked with astonishment.

Steady Now:

Adrigami (Adrien/Kagami)

Adrien liked Kagami, Kagami liked Adrien, and they both liked taking fencing class together. However, when one loses focus, the other must step in and help.

Dinner Party:

AU; Chlonette/Adrienette Friendship

AU. Marinette meets the Agreste family for the first time and she has her eyes set on the son of the household, Adrien Agreste! “He’s so handsome,” she thought to herself. Unfortunately, a childhood friend of Adrien is also welcomed and she is not pleased with Marinette. Could these two get along with Adrien as the glue holding them together?

A Sword on the Pic:

Lukagami (Luka/Kagami)

“So, this was the guitar playing musician dude Adrien and Marinette were talking about,” Kagami said to herself when she spotted a certain blue-dyed musician playing his guitar as his band Kitty Section was setting their equipment. “How can anyone like him, rock music is a waste of time!” The Japanese girl spat with disgust before turning back. “But he is kinda cute.”

So, Uh, You Read?:

Brelix (Bridgette/Felix from the PV)

Bridgette loves Felix, but Felix loves reading. Could this timid girl act confident for once by getting into books? Err...it's gonna take a while.

Half-Human, Half-Monster:

Lukole/Chlonette.(Luka/Chloe; Chloe/Marinette)

Post Gabriel Agreste. Chloe was angry, no, she was enraged! “Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous! They want me to be the monster, then so be it!” The blonde huffed and puffed for a second until finally breaking down crying as she kneaded down on the pier. "I'll happily be the monster, I’m already mean!” The blonde shouted to the air. “I’M ALREADY PLAYING THE FUCKING ROLE!” The screaming then got a certain blue-haired boy’s attention.

Bonding With a Rose:

Chloe/Rose Friendship

Post Guilttrip. When learning that she was a sick person this whole time, Chloé begins to not only feel horrible for treating Rose badly, but also for ripping up her letter to Prince Ali that one time. How will she make up to Rose? In fact, could she?! "Ugh, what is this weird feeling inside of me?! No, it can't be!"

*The Undercover Tales of Rena Furtive and Invisible Hornet:

Chloe/Alya and Queen Bee/Rena Rouge Friendship

AU, Post Miraculer. Ladybug tells Chloe that she cannot be Queen Bee anymore due to her identity being exposed, but instead of taking back the miraculous, she decides that it would be better if Chloe went undercover instead. Then, when Alya is exposed as Rena Rouge, it’s now up to the two vicious enemies to put their differences aside and work together undercover as Rena Furtive and Invisible Hornet.

*The Lost Miraculous:

Chloe/OC Friendship

Post Queen Banana/AU. Angry for being replaced, Chloé vows to never help Ladybug ever again and to destroy her once and for all. While on the run, the blonde stumbles upon a mysterious box with question marks all over it. Curiously, she takes it home and it’s revealed to be the Spider Miraculous! Bitter and vengeful at Ladybug and hating the new hero Vesperia, Chloé decides to use the miraculous for her advantage and decides to call herself a new hero. However, The Spider Kwami, Octod starts to see that maybe the young blonde girl is not evil or malicious, but someone who “is lost, just like him.”

Super Mario Miraculous!:

Miraculous Ladybug/Super Mario Crossover

When our beloved heroes and their friends find themselves in the Mushroom Kingdom, they not only befriend the legendary hero himself, but when Hawk Moth makes his way into the kingdom himself, he and the Koopa King Bowser have plans of their own. Can Ladybug survive in this new dimension and will she be able to make new allies on the way?

*The Bee Sisters Duo!:

Chloe/Zoe and Queen Bee/Vesperia Friendship

Chloe and Zoe are fraternal twin sisters in this AU. and they both called themselves “The Bee Sisters Duo.” Chloe, wielding the bee miraculous, is Queen Bee. Zoe, wielding a wasp miraculous, is Vesperia. When switched, Chloe is Lady Wasp and Zoe is Madame Bee.

*A Fox and Her Cub:

Sabrina/Lila Friendship

Sabrina/Lila/Hawk Moth/Mayura Alliance

Miracle Queen AU where Sabrina teams up with Lila and they join Hawk Moth. Sabrina becomes a villain after being tired of Chloe neglecting her because of her duties as Queen Bee. Zoe will get the dog miraculous and will be called Baroness Woof.

Tired of Being Admired:

MissBlanc (Miss. Fortune/Chat Blanc)

Story I plan to have where Marinette turns to the dark side and finally becomes Miss. Fortune, the akumatized version of Ladybug! Even worse, she joins Chat Blanc and the two now decide to get revenge on those who doubted them when it came to them being heroes. Might have this take place in an alternative setting of Ladybug.

*Bug and Wasp Game:

LadyBee/LadyWasp (Ladybug/Queen Bee; Ladybug/Queen Wasp)

Kinda a dark and gritty AU; similar to Batman. Marinette is known as LadySteel (Based off of the steelblue ladybug) and Chloe is once again Queen Wasp. They’ll basically have a Batman and Catwoman dynamic.

*The Anti Tales of Lady Dot and Ms. Kitty:

Chloe/Lila Friendship-Alliance

What happens if Chloe and Lila are the Ladybug and Cat wielders instead? Rather than be superheroes, they’re anti heroes known as Lady Dot (Chloe) and Ms. Kitty (Lila).

*Queen Bee and Ladybug with Su-Han:

Chlonette/LadyBee Friendship-Alliance

A bit inspired by Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, so this one’s a little raunchy. Chloe and Marinette are still heroes, but this time, they’re angels sent from Heaven to fight off akumatized victims in order to earn their places up there again. They’ll still use their power sources and Su-Han will be their guardian to help assign their missions.

*His (Un)Loyal Student:

Chloe/Hawk Moth Alliance

AU where Gabriel/Hawk Moth adopts Chloe as his foster daughter after Andre and Audrey die at his hands. He then trains her to be his personal fighter to fight off against Ladybug and Chat Noir. However, as time goes by, Chloe begins to question Hawk Moth’s motives and wonders if he’s the actual villain instead.

Untitled Miraculous/Buffy Crossover:

Mentioned this before, but basically a possible AU crossover where either Marinette and her allies/friends are put in a Buffy-like universe where Marinette is a slayer to akumas and amorks, or a simple Buffy-Miraculous crossover where Ladybug and Buffy work together to fight off the sources of evil surrounding them from both their universes.

*Purple and Pink Love Square:

JuleRose/PurpleElla (Juleka/Rose and Purple Tigress/Pigella)

Juleka and Rose are the main characters and are still Purple Tigress and Pigella. Basically, a Love Square between them.

I really hope you all enjoyed reading the majority of these. I know it is a lot and I do understand the confusing and frustration you had if so. I’m really sorry for coming up with so many ideas. I just love Miraculous and AUs so much, that I couldn’t help, but create so many. 😅

Also, please realize five important notes:

Not all of the fanfics I’d planned to do are on this list; mainly because the majority of them have very serious and mature themes. So I didn’t know whether or not I wanted to add them on this list.

If you’re wondering why the majority of them involve saying post Season 3 finale, it’s because most of these ideas were created by the time S3 ended and when S4 was still in production. That’s why some involve Lukanette or Adrigami because while they are no longer available, you can still ship a couple that is no longer canon. That’s why fanfics are a thing! They are your canon! You decide what you want!

Just because some of these fics have a certain ship or relationship involve does not necessarily mean that I ship it. Some of them are platonic or friendships; others I just thought of as an interesting idea for said ship.

Which brings me to this: DO NOT BASH ANYONE WHO LIKES OR LOVES A CERTAIN SHIP! My AUs and Fics are for fun and entertainment purposes only! They are to be enjoyed by the majority of the Miraculous fandom and if you don’t like it, fine by me. You are free to either ignore me and my writings, filter my tags, or block me and move on. I will not tolerate hissy fits over a simple cartoon. If you keep this attitude towards me or anyone, you will be automatically blocked! No exceptions!

The most important note of them all: Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE realize that I am a very busy person for the most of my time! Not all of these will be automatically posted once the time comes! While I have written a few down, there are either still in progress or I need to go over them one more time before the final draft is revealed. So please be patient and I will post an update on whether one is done or is getting started. Doesn’t help that I’m most likely gonna end up rewatching the show to get some ideas...

A Failed Betrothal (Part 3)

PART 3

The next day was weird to say the least for everyone but for Marinette, it was another can of worms that she wished she didn’t open. For one thing, Chat Noir’s feelings obsession for Ladybug switched from one black-haired girl to another which unfortunately was Ladybug’s civilian form. Which meant Marinette had to deal with Adrien’s Chat-Noir-level flirting and bad pick-up lines.

Perfect, just perfect.

Everyone thought that a declaration speech of ‘being soulmates and the only one for him’ in front of the whole class from the ‘love of your life’ would warrant a ‘blushing to death and stammering’ or ‘outright fainting’. Not a facepalm, a groan, “Why me?” and a “I am sorry but NO. I don’t feel the same way about you”. Marinette vaguely wondered if there was some kind of rule for interesting events and confrontations to happen during lunch break while the class waits for Mme Bustier to start the lessons.

Marinette went to sit in her seat next to Chloe in the back row where she and her friends had been exiled to. The class was in stunned silence and questioning about whether or not they had fallen into an alternate universe or dreaming. Nathaniel and Alix tried to hide their snickers. Chloe just started outright laughing, turning very red in the face.

Marinette felt a nudge from Plagg in her bag. Looking down, she saw them holding up her phone to show Lila’s gaping face of horror with a wicked smug grin on their face. She looked through the photos to see everyone’s faces of confusion and shock at her rejection. Eyes wide and jaws dropped on the ground. Different shots of her classmates in the same state. She smirked and showed them to Chloe who calmed down enough, letting out the occasional giggles and took the phone with glee.

“Thank you, Plagg. Here you go.” she whispered, giving them a camembert macaron.(Tom had started experimenting with camembert in his recipes. Plagg is his first taste tester for all of them, making Tom one of Plagg’s favourite people.)

Adrien didn’t take the rejection very well.

“But we are meant to be. You are a designer and I am a model. Our partnership is the one to be envied by many for the ages.”

“And by that logic,” The designer turned to her main model for her MDC website, “Chloe, my love, will you be my one and only? For our love shines so bright ,paralleled only by a thousand suns.” Using the same voice Plagg does when they go on one of their love odes about camembert before losing her straight face and giggling.(Plagg doesn’t know whether to be offended or amused.)

Setting Chloe’s laughter off again. “Mariiiii,...stop….I can’t..*gasps*....I can’t…”

Nathaniel and Alix, finally lost control and joined Chloe in death by laughter. Adrien was flustered, turning red in the face either from anger, embarrassment or both.

“But Chloe isn’t a model.”

Marinette decided to put a stop to this, just on the off chance that Gabriel finally decides to akumatized his own son. She recomposed herself.

“She is the main model for my website and we have a partnership. You, however, work for your father. So does Miss Rossi. Does that sound like the partnership to be envied by many for the ages? Hmmm, Agreste? Anyways, like I said before, I have no interest in dating you.”

“Why not? We are friends and sometimes, friends like each other enough to date each other.” Adrien angrily asked.

“Because-”

“Because, Adrikins,” Chloe cuts in, “friends having to date because one of them is interested in something more makes no sense and is fucked-up. Marinette doesn’t owe you anything. Besides, she already has a long distance boyfriend who lives in America.”

“WHAT!?” Adrien shouted.

“What?!” The class had snapped out of their stupor. Since when had Marinette gotten over Adrien and had a boyfriend?

“What?” Marinette looked at Chloe with wide-eyes. Last she checked she was still single so what the hell was Chloe playing at. For Kwami’s sake, she hadn’t been on a date since the one with Luka which went awkwardly before they agreed that they think of each other as siblings and it will be best to stay that way.

Chloe gave her a look that said ‘I will explain later.’

“Oh yes, they met online a few months ago and now they are all lovey-dovey together. It’s just so ridiculous, so utterly ridiculous how disgustingly in love they are. They have video call dates at least once a week and somehow make it work despite the time differences. He once came all the way to Paris just to see her. He brought her some special flowers that apparently meant-”

Marinette slapped her hand over Chloe’s mouth. “Well, Chloe, Queenie, as much as I love you as my friend, you can stop gushing about my love life now. Because class is about to start.”

She said through gritted teeth as Mme Bustier finished taking her sweet time and walked in. Sadly, Alya wasn’t done with the conversation ,“Wait a minute, since when did Chloe and you become close enough that she is modeling for you? And a boyfriend? Why didn’t you tell me, Girl? I thought we were friends. What about Adrien, he just confessed to you and you had been crushing on him for so long” Many girls gasped, angry that Alya broke the unspoken girl code.

“You have a crush on me?” Adrien looked hopeful. Like a lost kitten that had been stuck in the rain, was let into someone’s home.

“I had a crush on you,” Marinette corrected him, emphasising on the past tense, “and Alya had no business of sharing that information to the entire world despite us not being friends anymore.” She glared at the journalist who at least looked ashamed.

“You wanted to date Kagami so I moved on.”

One of the reasons anyway. I found out that you were my partner who had no concept of boundaries. You are a coward who only wants to maintain the class peace at the price of my mental health, she thought.

“Instead of continuing to pursue you.” She hoped the ever dense and oblivious model would get the hint she gave him. Tikki ,just this once, Grant me that ladybug luck.

“And Mme Bustier, it is time to start the lessons, don’t you think? Instead of focusing on the class drama to gossip about later on.” Marinette glared at the teacher, reminding her to do her job.

“Oh. Right.” Mme Bustier tried to regain her ‘perfect teacher’ image after getting embarrassed at being caught, “Right. Class, turn to page-”

As soon as the bell rang for the end of school, Marinette dragged Chloe all the way to her room. Alix and Nathaniel followed them because as far as they know, Marinette had no boyfriends and they were as curious to find out what scheme Chloe had cooked up this time. They were as complicated and crazy as Ladybug’s. No offense, Marinette.

“Okay, Queenie, you have to explain why I now have a devoted American boyfriend who I am so in love with.” Marinette crossed her arms with a frown aimed at Chloe. The kwamis got out of their respective hiding places and went to the tray of food set out for them.

The trapdoor to her room opened, revealing the rest of their friend group before Chloe said anything.

“Did we miss anything?” Kagami asked as Longg and Sass joined the other kwamis.

“Juleka said something about an American boyfriend and how he sounds so romantic. Does that have to do anything with the text Alix sent us to come here?” Luka added.

“To recap, Adrien made a love confession to Marinette,” Alix started, biting into some of the delicious pastries the Dupain-Chengs gave them, ”in front of the entire class after an entire day of flirting and bad pick-up lines.”

“Wow, even after having his memories erased of being Chat Noir, he is still after Ladybug.” Luka chuckled, with the others joining in.

Marinette whined, “It was easier when he was Chat Noir. But now as Adrien Agreste, teen heartthrob, it is going to be much more difficult to get into his thick head that I don’t see him that way and it is going to get harder, now that Alya outed my old crush to him.”

“Oof. Sucks to be you.”

“So, our Mari-bug rejected him. He threw a tantrum and sulked, so like Chat Noir, how did we not notice?,” Alix continued, “After demanding reasons why they can’t date, Chloe gave Marinette an American boyfriend who she was in a long-distance relationship with. Speaking of, why did you do that?”

“I have known Adrik- Adrien since we were in diapers and I know how that mangy cat works. He grew up on Disney and had all those fairytales stuffed into his head. If you had told him that you were just not interested in dating at the moment, it won’t work because he will try his hardest to ‘woo’ you, because he still has a chance. He won’t push his luck as much if you were off the market.” Chloe explained.

“I am sure that, judging by the fact that Chat Noir still tries to date Ladybug despite her saying she is in love with someone, Adrien might try to get more proof of this boyfriend to make sure Marinette is just not pretending to have one.” Kagami pointed out.

“Ahh, but luckily I have a back-up plan. I have a friend, Tim Drake. We met at a few galas when we were younger and kept in touch. He also owes me a favor.”

“I hope this Tim Drake is cute.”

“He is and he’s older than you by two years and,” Chloe typed something on her phone, “A fellow caffeine addict so you can bond over that. Here’s a picture of him and his brother.”

On her phone were two extremely attractive and fit young men dressed in expensive suits at what looked like a gala, the older one had a charming polite smile with bright blue eyes, looking somewhat interested at what someone off-screen was saying despite looking like he will fall over any moment. His brother, however, looked like he would rather be anywhere but where he was. He was tanned and had green eyes that promised murder for daring to even breathe in his direction. Marinette noticed that he looked a little familiar but she can’t place why.

“Tim is the one that looks like he hasn’t slept in days and that’s his brother Damian next to him.”

“Wait a minute. That’s Tim Drake and Damian Wayne. The sons of Bruce Wayne, the billionaire co-CEO of Wayne Industries, which Tim Drake is also co-CEO of.” Nathaniel said with wide eyes and looked at Chloe, “You are using your favor to give our Mari here a fake boyfriend.”

“Of course, only the best for our Mari-bug.”

“Chloe, no, he is probably busy as he is with running the company. No need to get him involved in petty teenage drama.” No matter how much she doesn’t want to date Adrien, bothering a busy guy to be her fake boyfriend is not worth it in Marinette’s opinion. Which, of course, gets overruled by the overprotectiveness of her friends.

“I, for one, think this is one of Chloe’s better plans.” Kagami commented, the others agreeing with her. Traitors.

“Hey!” Chloe exclaimed, an offended look on her face, “Anyways, I will call him later.”

“Children, you better go home now before your parents worry.” Sabine’s voice came from below, “Remember we are also going through some drills tonight so try not to be late.” Having a former assassin for a mother is handy when you want to train a team of teenage superheroes.

“Bye, guys. See you later.”

“Just because you have been trained since birth does not excuse you from the drills. You also need to get used to the black cat.” Lady Mǔ lǎohǔ reprimanded her with her arms crossed. When Ladybug started her new team, she was the first permanent member but as the team got bigger, she stepped back to be back-up and mentor for the team.

“Yes, Maman, I know but I am nearly finished with this commission. I will catch up with you later. Promise.” Marinette stretched, looking up from her latest project. Plagg was napping in the little basket she had made for all the kwamis to sleep in which fit all of them and had some extra space for Nooroo and Dusuu after they had been retrieved.

The reason she had Plagg instead of Tikki who was with Alix was because of the new tactic the Miraculous Team came up with. To keep the balance the Ladybug and Black Cat must be active at the same time but with Adrien gone, someone must wield the ring until a new permanent holder is found and it was not a good idea for both of them to be on the same person at the same time. The team decided to rotate using the earrings and ring between them with Marinette using other miraculouses when the others have them. It also had the added bonus of making it harder for Hawkmoth to find out who has them at any given time.

“See you later, 灵儿 (líng er, means intelligence). I will give you 15 minutes but that’s it. Don’t be late.” Sabine sighed and got out the skylight and went towards the safehouse where the Miraculous team met to get training. (It is one of Sabine’s emergency safehouse to use in times of emergency and it had the required space to train 6 teenagers. Chat Noir never came to training, lazy cat.)

Marinette never made it to the warehouse.

Because a few minutes after her mother left, the skylight opened to let in five figures dressed in dark colours to easily blend into the shadows like they were trained to be. Too bad they weren’t as quiet. Marinette immediately summoned a bo-staff to defend herself.

One of them lunged at her and she retaliated by hitting the end of her staff to their middle, coupled with a couple more blows and landed one that knocked them out. The others threw throwing stars which she dodged by jumping back. Which landed her to be trapped by the two assassins, whom she didn’t notice, had moved. She cursed in every language she knew as she struggled against them. It led to no avail as she was badly out-numbered. There was a prick on her head and her world went black.

Plagg awoke to a loud commotion. Irritated, they poked their head out to see their new temporary kit knocked out, tied up and hauled away. Recognizing the kidnappers as assassins of the League of Shadows, they scowled. Ra’s Al Ghul was going to pay.

Plagg may not act like it much but the black kwami was patient and smart. Smart enough to leave a note with an explanation somewhere visible with the messy aftermath of a fight before trailing the assassins. Oh, Roarr’s tiger was going to be pissed once she found out what happened. Wherever they were taking Marinette, it would be best to have a kwami of destruction to help her escape. The night made Plagg almost invisible and allowed to move unseen. They caught up easily and hid in their holder’s midnight hair. Now, their patience came into play. It was a matter of waiting for the right moment to pounce.

Husband Plays Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx

[[For context: husband has only seen up to Season 3, episode Ladybug]]

still can’t believe the back of the box has two Lukas while Marinette is kick-flipping Kagami

This game looks like a PS2 game from the images ... but so does the show

oh it’s done by the same guys who did the Nicktoons Brawl game and some other good ones but this one isn’t on their website

so 2 out of the things that own this don’t have it on their website. that’s a mark of quality

So here’s my prediction for the game. It’s gonna be old school. 4 distinct areas, each ruled by a powerful overlord we can beat, and when we beat those, we’ll fight the overlordiest of overlords, with a bunch of side missions in hero and civilian form

Honestly this is gonna give the best map of Paris for knowing where locations are for the purposes of writing fanfics

Gale's ML Hot take list

-Season 2 and Season 3 should have cut out half of their episodes and been one season.

-The Zodiac miraculous are incredibly unbalanced and gimmicky and should have just been power ups OR should have been villains.

-Kagami should have been the new Bee miraculous holder, instead of introducing a new character.

-Retconning Juleka and Luka to be twins was dumb

-The whole 'Human Sentimonster is human' could have been done well but the execution by the show is lacking and it needed a considerable amount of build up.

- Ephemeral is a fun episode but the hype for it made it feel like a disappointment.

-The power system and rules for the miraculous are nonsensical and completely arbitrary.

-The anti-akuma charms are the biggest example of fake progress.

-Luka's design isnt bad, it just doesnt work in 3D

-Fu's mistake is still the stupidest plot point in the series, and the fact the guardians got their butts kicked by an EYELESS DOG, is so dumb its funny.

-Fu shouldnt have lost his memory, it was a cheap move to add drama, and basically put unnecessary responsibility on Marinette

-The love rival storyline was poorly conceived and executed. Luka did not get enough interactions with Adrien to make it worth interest.

-Adrien should have had more episodes focused on him. (he is the second Main character.) at least 2 episodes a season. (Like Lies)

-The concept of the wish recreating the universe is actually a fun tidbit that I like. Because it shows how incredibly powerful the cat and Ladybug miraculous are.

-I think the class all getting hero powers is unnecessary.

-I like the Shanghai special, as having different mystical/magical power artifacts in the world is cool lore.

-New york special actually hurts the world building because you have a character that can LITERALLY move the moon. So hawkmoth will never be a true threat.

-I never cared if Chloé got a redemption arc, I do wish they didnt jerk us around pretending like it was a thing.

-I do not care for the couffaine family drama. It is given more focus than the Agreste family and the agreste lore is ACTUALLY plot relevant.

-Lila isnt an awful character or even a bad liar, Chameleon was the only episode that has her lies be awful. She is however a bad planner.

-Reflekdoll is objectively the worst written episode but everyone gives it a pass because of the kwami swap. It changes how the ladynoir dynamic is perceived and it is for the worse.

-Adrien does suffer consequences for his mistakes, the only reason people dont see it as often as marinette is because he isnt the main focus of the show.

-Marinette learning lessons is fine, but she doesnt need to learn a lesson everytime, and often its not even her fault when they make her learn a lesson.

-Alix should have been Marinette's confidant based on build up from the series and the introduction of Bunnyx.

-Nathalie should have been the main villain of season 3 onward.

-If you have to explain a key point of the show on twitter, IT SHOULDNT BE A POINT IN THE SHOW.

-Zoé is a fine character, but she didnt need to be important.

-I have yet to see a good reason that Luka knows both Chat noir and Ladybug's identities. The thing is, He should have only known Chat noir's and then became a confidant for him.

-There should be a big argument between Ladybug and Chat noir. Or at the very least, an on screen talk in which Chat noir voices his concerns.

All You Had to Do Was Stay (Post Reveal/ Pre Relationship) (1/4)

Summary:

Three years ago, Marinette revealed her identity to him. Three years ago, he promised to wait in a hotel room for her. Three years ago, she opened the door to find it empty.

Now she's expected to play nice with him, since she's the maid of honor and he's unfortunately the best man. But old habits die hard, and old feelings die harder.

"This is a wedding, not a death march, Marinette."

Things that need to be done before Alya Cesaire could marry Nino Lahiffe:

1. Designs combining both Martinique culture and Réunion style needed to be made for the whole wedding party. Everyone should get to have a say in what they wear.

2. The video of Alya dancing overenthusiastically to the cupid shuffle needed to be removed from Lila Rossi’s Instagram, lest Nino’s nana see and wonder what type of woman he’s marrying.

3. The cake tasting needed to be had. Marinette needed to make sure that her parents didn’t go overboard and keep the couple for the whole night. Even if Alya was practically their daughter. Even if they begged. Even if papa cried.

4. A totally unique and unreplicable combination Bachelor and Bachelorette party needed to be planned.

And, lastly… The most difficult of all:

5. Marinette somehow needed to be able to stand in a room with Nino’s best man, Adrien, and hold a conversation for more than five minutes. Even if, three years ago, he found out her identity, left Paris, and broke her heart.

“Easy,” Marinette groaned, sinking further into her barstool as she closed her notes app, her head touching the counter of the bar. She’d already crossed off the top two of the list items, and yet…

“I’m not asking for a miracle,” Alya began, obviously knowing what she was thinking about. She was the one to ask Marinette out that night, wanting to find out her progress… and also to check in on her wellbeing. It was obvious that she felt bad, she knew how things went between the two and how Marinette originally thought they would go. But she couldn’t just ask Nino not to have Adrien be his best man. “Five minutes, that’s all I’m asking. Just five minutes in a room together. You quickly plan the bachelorette party, since we know that you’re far too organized not to, give him the run down, and then leave. Back to your life, back to doing whatever it is you do now.”

“Sit at home. Alone,” Marinette supplied.

Alya grimaced. “It’s for the best that Luka got married, Marinette. You couldn’t keep playing that game. All that kiss and tell was gonna kill you some day.”

Marinette groaned, somehow sinking further into the wood of the bar. Anymore and she’d become part of the grain.

“Plus, Juleka’s in a better mood with you now,” Alya said, obviously looking at the other young woman as she undoubtedly danced on the floor with Rose. Marinette’s habit of coming back to Paris and making out with her brother had obviously put a strain on their relationship, even if Luka insisted that things weren’t committal and he was totally fine with only seeing her twice a year. “Who knows, maybe Nino will have a handsome cousin and you’ll fall madly in love.”

Marinette raised the side of her head to cast Alya a glare from one eye.

Alya didn’t falter. “So, he’s back. After spending three years in New York, Milan, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. I get it, it’s life changing, it’s world ending, it’s all the things you don’t want and more—especially after how things ended,” Marinette groaned, Alya carried on, “but, you know who else is back? Max, Rose, unfortunately Lila, and Kim. Good old Kim. All your friends, everyone who you’ve known for years, everyone who has missed you as you flitted in and out of Paris! Sure, you found out that Adrien was Chat Noir, went to his hotel room, thought you were finally going to get together, and then opened the door to find it empty—but you know, life happens! And when you least expect it, it keeps going on and on and on and on!”

Marinette turned her face back to the wood.

“I really did try to get Nino to change his mind,” Alya said flatly. “I begged.” Marinette doubted it, but…

“Why couldn’t he just stay in New York?” Marinette mumbled.

“Because Nino is his best friend.”

“Why couldn’t Nino go to New York,” Marinette said, “or Adrien done a zoom call for the wedding.”

Alya snorted. “Okay, that’s it,” she said, grabbing Marinette’s arm. “Adrien’s landing today, nothing’s going to stop it, you just have to clear your head and power on.” She leaned into Marinette’s view as her friend finally turned her head, insistently stating, “you were Ladybug for god’s sake. Even if no one else knows it, you do. I do. You gotta suit up, lovebug, and face the day, lest another evil butterfly come flying by.” Never mind the fact that there hadn’t been an Akuma in years.

Not since Gabriel Agreste was arrested.

Marinette rolled her eyes, finally lifting herself off the bar.

“There’s my girl,” Alya said. “Now, finish your dirty shirley, order another drink, and come do karaoke with me. I’m a hundred percent certain that I saw Say You’ll Be There on the song list, and you know that I’ve been singing Spice Girls since I was in diapers.”

Marinette stumbled into her apartment at one am. Not drunk, she didn’t get drunk, not out in public at bars. In friends’ apartments, maybe. She was still a bit tipsy which was, in its own way, dangerous. But she could fight through it, maybe.

Kicking off her heels, she looked at it, the studio she called home and had once been so proud of a few years back, the same studio she’d lived in ever since she was a fashion design student. The same one in which she’d left Chat knocking on her balcony door when she struggled to stay asleep, and eventually relented to let him in time and time again before he knew who she was.

“Someday, I’m going to move,” she grumbled, beginning to pull the bobby pins from her hair. She wouldn’t, of course, not for a long time. Rent-controlled apartments were rare, and while she pretended that the history that practically stained her hardwood floors was something she would rather forget, she was a nostalgic young woman. She’d be there for at least another five years, or until she was finally well and truly over Chat.

Five years would probably come first.

She passed by the photos washi taped to her walls, the ones where fourteen-year-old kids gave toothy smiles and eighteen-year-old young women gave winks while leaning into blond young men. If she was so concerned about history, she’d have to get rid of those first.

She sighed, finally removing the last bobby pin from her hair and letting it fall down her back, placing the black pin in one of the many bowls around her apartment placed for that very reason. Adrien would be in Paris by then, she was sure. He was probably sound asleep in the Agreste mansion.

“Welcome home, kitty,” she said sarcastically, beginning to climb the steps to her lofted bedroom, a space that was not unlike her childhood room.

This wasn’t how she expected things to be.

Of course, this wasn’t how anyone expected things to be. If you asked anyone, they told you how the story ended. Ladybug and Chat Noir finally got together, they were hiding in Paris somewhere, they were in love. They probably had kids, a dog, a hamster—normal jobs and normal lives. That was what the people of Paris wanted. She thought that that was the ending they would get.

She thought that when she went to the hotel room that night, he would be there. She thought that he was happy to know who she was. She thought that he loved her.

She thought wrong.

Marinette always thought wrong.

She thought she could get over him. She thought making out with Luka was a solution, one that she could keep trying every time she went to Paris. She thought that she would miss Adrien more than Chat, the promise of love more than sitting in her bed and watching subtitled anime while he mouthed the English translations.

By now, she thought she’d be waking up to someone else. That maybe she’d have a steady life, someone to wrap their arms around her in the morning.

Adulthood hits hard.

“Adrien Agreste,” she said, flopping back in her bed and pulling open her phone. She wasn’t above social media stalking.

There he was. Gold hair, tanned skin, too many muscles to know what to do with. Landed in Paris four hours ago, his Instagram posted a picture of him with his arm around Nino. His eyes were still kind, his smile still flawless. Her heart still pounded.

“Jerk,” she muttered, letting her phone fall down beside her. “I didn’t need you anyway,” except for all those times she did. Like when she put the earrings back in the box and said goodbye to one of her closest friends. She could have used him then.

She could have used him a lot of times.

Her eyes stayed glued to the ceiling, her chest rising and falling with every breath. There was no sound, no doting kwami, no laughter from her parents, and no Alya playing with her hair. Just her.

“Now I’m going to see you and fall in love with you all over again,” she said, wishing she could steel herself against the inevitable.

Day 3 - Identities

Day1 - Day2 - Day3 - Day4

Marinette had been living with the waynes for over a month now. The reason? Tom and Sabine sent her away to her biological father. Apparently To Dupain was not her biological, but Bruce Wayne was.

Marinette had a sliver of hope, A really, really thin one. Which had faltered by the month.

Marinette had defeated Hawk Moth with Chat Noir. Apparently Plagg found the brooches along with two sleeping kwamis accidentally. At night when Gabriel and Natalie were asleep, He had stolen the miraculous. On the patrol that night, Chat had told her that the miraculous were right under their noses. He gave her the two brooches and told her that Plagg had found the brooches in his father’s study. He told her that Gabriel was Hawk moth and Natalie was Mayura. Then he de-transformed and handed her the ring saying that he wanted to continue his life as a civilian.

Later that week it was announced that Chat noir found out who Hawk Moth was and he had stolen the miraculous at night. He then said that Gabriel and Natalie were the Villians. He then revealed himself saying that he was innocent, and he had no idea that his father was Hawk moth. Marinette had thought that with Hawkmoth gone she could beat Lila, But no, it Backfired. That was the reason she was Shipped off. Like an object. She was replaced just like an object.

Her only wish was to die. But she had tried to do that multiple times. Someone always managed to save her. So no, that option was unavailable. She had thought that she would finally be able to die in Gotham by sucide, But no, Selina, Cassandra or Jason always managed to save her.

By now she had started to see the woman as a mother figure. The Waynes hated her. They didn’t even listen to her side of the story. Only Cass and Jason had seen that there was more to the story. Selina and Alfred too, of course. The waynes saw her with disgust. They laid out certain rules.

And of course she figured out they were Bat family. She may not be from Gotham, but she wasn’t certainly stupid. She had to admit, The Waynes were really good at hiding the Batfam thingy. But what gave them away? Misplaced Batarangs by Tim. Then Tikki had also found the cave. She wasn’t stupid, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne were good friends and certainly Batman and Superman. The people of Justice league stopped by often at the Manor too.

Speaking of the Justice League, They had given her an offer to join the League, but she declined. They had given her a satellite phone for emergencies to contact the league. They had praised her high and low. Batman was even Concerned for her when he found out her age range. Concerned! If they knew that Ladybug was their new sibling who was claimed to be a bully, she’d be declared a threat and her take Miraculous away.

Her routine was the same. Wake up. Eat breakfast in silence as she was being glared at. Study something. Do commissions while talking to her boyfriend, Luka and the others. Eat Lunch while being glared at. Study the Grimoire with Alfred. Sketch some designs while talking to Selina and Cass. Draw illustrations while Jason talks. Eat dinner in Silence. Stay up till 3 am doing commissions. Sleep.

Last week she had introduced Luka to Cass, Selina, Jason and Alfred. It went really well. Especially when Jason found out he was Jagged Stone’s son.

She was thinking how she could step up her game with the Waynes. In her thoughts she didn’t see Selina coming in.

“What are you thinking about Kitten ?” Selina asks, seeing the half sketched dress.

“Gah! Selina don’t scare me like that! Anyway I was thinking, ``What do I do to annoy the waynes?” Marinette asks the Master of scheming Cat-woman.

“Hmm, what about going to your true self? Being in headphones, ignoring them, Snide answers, and stuff like that?” Selina says thoughtfully.

“Selina, that's brilliant! You’re the best Mom!” Marinette says. She covers her mouth with her hand realizing what she said.

“Aww, Com’ere Kit. I love you.” Selina says softly.

“You’re not mad?” Marinette hesitantly asks.

“Of course not!” She says.

“You’ll be more of a mother than Sabine will ever be to me.” Marinette says with a small voice and hugs the older woman.

Then the Chaos was unleashed. Whenever the Waynes wanted to ask her something she’d ignore them and she always had her headphones on.

“Marinette, tell me why did you hurt the poor girl?” Bruce asks in a stern voice. Of course Mari didn’t hear him because of the blaring music.

“Marinette, Why did you hurt the poor girl?” Bruce asks again, obviously annoyed.

“MARINETTE-” He was cut off from Alfred of course.

“If I may Master Bruce,” he says, earning a nod. He gently taps the girl’s shoulder. Marinette moves her hair away and removes her Airpod. The music is loud enough for everybody to hear.Meanwhile Bruce flushes in embarrassment. “Miss, Your father wants to ask you something.” Marinette nods. She turns to her Father.

“What?” She asks.

“I asked, Why did you hurt the poor girl marinette, around two months ago?” He asks, patience bearing thin.

“Oh? I didn’t know that I could make a clone of myself and Send one to the fencing class and the other to beat her up at the Seine?” She says in a bored tone. Jason and Cass, not being able to hold their laughter any longer, burst out laughing.

Later that night they checked her attendance, sure enough she was in the fencing class.

One day Marinette got a call from the Justice league, Stating an emergency. She quickly transformed to Ladybug and Portalled to the Watchtower.

“Ladybug, welcome to the Watchtower,” Wonder Woman welcomed, standing at the head of a group of heroes. Interestingly enough, Batman and all of his brood were among them. Nightwing, Red Robin, Black Bat, and Robin and the others.

“Wonder Woman,” she greeted back. “What’s the problem?”

“Your former partner has been kidnapped.”

Ladybug’s face turned pale, but she took a deep breath instead of panicking. “What do we know?”

“Ra’s al Ghul has taken the former Chat Noir in an attempt to convince the Guardian of the Miraculous to turn over the jewels to him,” Batman reported.

Her face turned up into a snarl. “The League of Assassins,” she spat.

They were surprised that she knew Ra’s. But they hid it well.

“I take it you understand why we cannot allow the Miraculous to be surrendered to his control,” Batman continued.

Wonder Woman stepped in before Ladybug could reply. “Ladybug, we need you to tell us who the Guardian is so that we may protect them.”

Ladybug let out a cold laugh. Shivers ran down everyone’s spine. “Wonder Woman, you misunderstand. The Order of the Miraculous is all but dead. I’m all that’s left. You want the Grand Guardian of the Miraculous?” She spread her arms wide. “You’re looking at her. And Ra’s al Ghul can have them over my dead body. ”

The gathered heroes looked stunned. “Now where is Adrien?”

Red robin started, recovering first. “You’re not going alone.”

“You’re right,” Ladybug cut in. “I’m not. I’m gathering my team.”

“What Red Robin meant to say is that Batman and his assembled partners are going with you,” Wonder Woman soothed. “They have experience dealing with Ra’s and would be a great asset.”

“I’ll be back in ten minutes, at the most.” She said. Everyone nodded. She portalled away to gather her team.

Five minutes later a portal opened and stepped out Honey bee, Dragoness and Cobra in the Glory. The portal snapped shut when Ladybug entered.

“This is not enough! We’re dealing with Ra’s al Ghul and the league here!” Ladybug said. “We need her. She’s the last resort if we lose!” Dragoness exclaimed. The Justice league was confused. Who were they talking about?

“You’re right. Bee, you’re the only one who knows where she is. You’re her best friend. I can't find her in all of paris!” Ladybug asks, turning to Honey bee.

“You’re right, I do. It’ll be easy to find her. She’ll be in her room. She’s always Isolated, so don’t worry about getting caught.” Honey Bee answers.

“Isolation! I thought I told her to Socialize!” Ladybug exclaims.

“Yeah, but her family treats her like a pariah except some people. But Ladybug I don’t know if she’ll be able to fight.” Honey bee says.

“Rossi?”

“Rossi.”

“Now location please.” Ladybug says.

“Right. Wayne Manor, Gotham, New Jersey.” Honeybee whispers. Earning surprised looks from Ladybug and the Supers.

“Alright.” Ladybug portals away. This was all staged of course. She had recently found a spell to make a clone of herself.

“Why won't the hero be able to fight? She’s a hero!” Batman exclaims.

“Depression, you overgrown furry, Depression. She’s tried committing sucide several times. We saved her.” This earns many shocked looks.

Cue opening a portal. All of the Paris heroes Gasps. All in glory Multimouse is standing there.

When Honey Bee saw Multimouse, she gasped and enveloped her in a hug, muttering French endearments and saying how much she’d missed her. Dragoness stole Multimouse for a hug next before passing her on to Viperion who also received an extra peck on the lips in return, while Ladybug watched with a soft smile.

With Kaalki involved, it was child’s play to get into the assassin stronghold. Team Miraculous filled the gaps and worked seamlessly in their own right, simply a step away from Gotham’s Bats. They beat assassins on their own. The Bats just watched in awe.

It didn’t take them long to make their way to Ra’s.

The man wore a self-satisfied smirk on his face as he greeted him from his throne. A bruised and bloodied but otherwise intact Adrien was being restrained on the dias a few feet away.

“Well, well, if it isn’t Team Miraculous,” Ra’s mused, looking down the line. His eyes paused on Multimouse and his expression shifted to intense amusement. “And if it isn’t the latest in the Detective’s brood. I suppose heroics truly do run in the family after all.”

A number of shocked and confused gazes snapped to Multimouse, who simply stared at him down with cold eyes growling quietly.

“And yet she isn’t why we’re here,” Ladybug cut in coldly, shoving that problem in a box for later.

Ra’s shifted his oily attention to her. “Yes, I believe I requested the Guardian, young Bug.”

“And here I am,” Ladybug said simply. “But I will never cede the Miraculous to you.”

“Well, then I suppose the Blonde Cat dies.” The assassin near Adrien tried to kill him only to turn to orange smoke. Ra’s growls when he realizes he was tricked.

“Your reign is over. Your crimes won’t continue much longer. Tell me, just how long have you been using the Pits to keep yourself alive?”

“Goodbye, Ra’s al Ghul,” Ladybug intoned. “We’ll leave you to what remains of your empire.” She turned and motioned for the Fox to open the portal to the Watchtower. The Bats followed behind.

Adrien was at the fringes, attempting to escape a hero that was trying to get him to the Medbay for medical attention. He only had eyes for Multimouse.

“Marinette!” he called.

The Bats were shocked at both the name and the blatant outing of a secret identity.

Adrien broke free from his wounds. “Marinette, I’m so sorry,” he said brokenly.

It was quiet for a moment. “I take it they told you why I left, then,” Multimouse said, carefully devoid of emotion.

“I never thought-”

“Don’t, Adrien,” Queen Bee snapped.

Adrien gaped at his friend, shocked at the venom her words carried against him.

“But her Lies, they weren't hurting anyone!”

“How?” Multimouse snapped, her voice cracking. She took a deep breath. “How was it different? Because you told me I had to ‘take the high road?’ Because her lies would unravel themselves? Because she wasn’t hurting anyone? Bullshit, Adrien! They were hurting me!”

“She followed your advice at first,” Queen Bee said sharply. “She shouldn’t have, but you were her friend and she trusted you. By the time she realized that it had been a mistake, it was too late. Everyone else was in too deep and you did nothing . When Mari tried to tell everyone that they were being lied to, she was made to look like a liar. A bully.”

“Do you realize that the rest of us had people on watchlists?” Ryuko said bluntly. “People at risk of Akumatization that could bring the city to its knees. Aurore, because of Stormy Weather II. Ondine, because of Syren. But do you know who was on top?” She let the silence sit. “Marinette. Marinette was on top of that list. The only reason she was above Ladybug was because Marinette was drowning. But any time she tried to get through to the others, Lila hit back harder and you would ask Mari to back down. Because we don’t want to upset Lila, right? We don’t want her to become an akuma. Again.”

“My parents believed her, Adrien,” Multimouse said quietly. “They sent me away because I was ‘out of control’. I’m treated like a criminal where I am now! So I’m sorry, Adrien, but I can’t forgive you. You said you didn’t want to live with more lies, but then you stopped telling the truth when it threatened your ‘peace’. Even when that ‘peace’ might have ruined my life.” She took a deep, steadying breath. “But you know what they say, right? Never meet your heroes.” She turned and looked straight at Batman. “They’ll always just disappoint you.”

The next week was tense at the Wayne manor. But eventually they apologised to marinette. She became close with them. She and her family then sent lawsuits to the Akuma class.

The saying is true then. “All’s well that ends well.”
