Please forgive me for asking but I just loved I recently seem your piece with Dora and Judit and its just so amazing... please please tell me more about the AU please please please I beg you...

I don't have this AU very developed yet, but the premise I came up with is a ‘simple’ one: what would everyone's life be like if their decisions were their own, without the expectations of others.

Oddly enough, I didn't draw them together because I ship them but because I think they would get along well in this universe. BUT, if someone has read it that way, I think it's perfect!

So far I've come to the conclusion that Dora wouldn't need convince Harry to become a policeman to improve the city because she would be the one doing it despite her opposing family. I'm sure that after the divorce (they parted ways as quickly as they got married), he's is still a gym teacher with an Art Degree and painting is his side gig, enough for him to exhibit in a gallery. Dora leads by example and has been in the RCM for several years now, she's Lt. Viquemare's satellite-officer.

JV is still clinically depressed because he's constantly pushing himself, and although he takes prescription medication, he's not addicted to drugs because he doesn't know Tequila Sunset. Tequila may show up sooner or later, when Harry gets burned out by the flawed school system and Revachol's upper class, belittling his art for being a ‘poor man with pretensions and a paintbrush’.

Judit has never seemed to me to be in a hurry to get married, so here she's single with no children (yet), and runs a small exhibition space. She doesn't have a great eye for art but has enough sense to run a business well. She has a partner, Cindy, who in exchange for a roof over her head lends her a hand in this regard.

And as for Kim… there's a lot to unpack there. I hesitate between whether he would stay exactly the same because all his life decisions are made by him, or whether he would be totally different because he is unaffected by the injustices around him. I don't want to leave him in the middle ground.

That's more or less what I've got so far from this AU, it needs some worldbuilding yet. If you like it, you can do whatever you want with these ideas. If you create something about it, tag me so I can see it! I love AUs, headcanons and all creations from this fandom!

Experimenting with this, I tried to find a "faster" way to do it (playing with different values, putting the layer in monochrome from the start, etc.), ended up with a "generic microscopical image".

If you people need placeholders like this and have no time or resouces to go through stock images, the steps were the same with a middle tweak:

Filter>Render>Perlin Noise

->->->-> Filter> Gausian Blur> value: ≥ 120

Filter> Sharpen> unsharp mask> Radius: 22, Strenght: 255, Threshold: 0

Filter> Gausian Blur> value: 6

Filter> Sharpen> unsharp mask> Radius: 22, Strenght: 255, Threshold: 0

repeat 4+5 to your heart's content. The more times, the more "low res" the image will look

you need some pixels to start with, either just grab the spray bottle tool or go to Filter>Render>Perlin Noise

Filter> Gausian Blur> value: 6

Filter> Sharpen> unsharp mask> Radius: 22, Strenght: 255, Threshold: 0

you need to repeat step 2+3 over and over. to make that easier you can go to:

Auto Action> create new auto action set

hit record in the bottom left of the auto action window

perform step 2+3

stop recording

right click the actions in the set and duplicate them

make sure they are sorted correctly and hit play a few times

before you color your pattern or do anything with it go to

Edit> tonal correction> binarization

to get rid of any odd colored pixels

Venting time vvvvv

Adobe is clogging the whole pipeline with their exclusive archive formats -non compatible between versions of the same software- and embedding barely useful new options that makes opening the archives in a different compatible software, a russian roulette.

What's this empty mask? What was this blending mode before and why is it distorted? Why this previously editable font is now a path and the rewritable part is the FX? Why do they let me choose "no, I'm not updating my version, I'm opening the file as it is thanks" and then proceed to NOT open it?

When you have worked enough time with Adobe, things like the AI or the eternal subscription are just the cherry on top...

Sometimes I can't avoid using it and maybe it's me but I feel it's becoming flooded, clunkier, less reliable, less optimized. It's now worth the price they ask for it anymore.

someday soon i will make a little effigy of adobe so that i can put it in the paper blender and print unhappy words on it and set it on fire and feed the ashes to the fruit trees

It's not god themself, it's everything that gets forcefully shoved inside our throats.

Try to force feed people well loved things (series, songs, ways of thinking, movies...) and everybody will hate or worship them, no place in between.

Living in a catolic christian community, I can assure you both church and believers are frigging tedious, bothersome and surprisingly non-emphatic, given their religion. We all hate ads and preachers for a reason.
