It was a warm and lazy afternoon at the Library. After finally setting up the planters and drawing up ideas for the garden (provided it ever cools off), as well as tidying up some of the basement, Naomi was ready to have a good do-nothing kind of evening.

It was different from her old version of doing nothing; before, she would wallow in the dark and wait for time to pass. Now she could bask in the feeling of accomplishment that came from getting something done.

And then the phone rang.

Naomi paused. For a second, she was confused - she hadn't posted the number anywhere, and Lily would just call her cell. It wasn't impossible that this was someone new, but who...

Naomi remembered the letter she'd sent the day before. She stared. The phone rang again.

Could it be...?

"Hey guys, I think my friend Wally is calling. Can you two play downstairs for a minute?" Willa and Rags both disappeared down the stairs, and after letting it ring a third time, Naomi picked up the phone.

"Lullaby Lane Library, this is Miss Naomi speaking. May I ask who's calling?"

She tried to keep her voice steady, even as she waited for a response.

He's very much hoping this means they can be friends despite not getting a single full line of apples.

"Hola Frank! Soy Wally!" The painter had changed out of his normal sweater and striped pants into a plain t-shirt and pyjama shorts. "I'm going on an adventure with my friend Boots!" Wally's favourite teddy bear was lifted out of his backpack. "We need to stop Swiper before he swipes all the books!!" (heythereneighbor)

Frank was mighty confused with Wally at his door claiming such bold concerns . ❝ Oh ? Well , hello to you too , Boots . ❞ Greeting the toy bear before he JOLTED in surprise .

❝ A Swiper ? And for books too ? This is incredibly important ! I will look where I can . ❞

Ohhhh hold on a second. This isn't HIS Home. It nearly looks the exact same, but something about it is a little different. Maybe the exterior is painted a slightly different shade of red? No matter. What Wally would do is cautiously approach the other him and offer a shiny, red apple as a makeshift peace offering. "The garden looks really nice." (heythereneighbor. Hello! :D )

how curious. not just everyone could be as darling as him, but he realizes that, maybe, that he wasn't the only one with a face like that. he has the looks down, but is he neighborly too?

"why, thank you." seems like that's a yes. interesting. he glances towards the apple, gently taking it from the others hands and inspecting it like it's a jewel to be treasured before sliding it into his sweater for later. black hues finally match back with the other.

"you look very nice," he says, placing his hands behind his back. "say.... do you have a Home of your own too?"

"Dad?" Wally felt bad for interrupting Winnie in the middle of a brainstorm session, but he had something he wanted to work on. "Have you seen our radio? I was talking to Barnaby earlier and he said if I put it in the fridge, I'll be able to listen to some cool music..." Oh dear. (heythereneighbor :D )

Winnie was seated at the table brainstorming ideas for a new song, paper and pencil in hand, he wrote and wrote for what felt a long time until a familiar voice called out to him, to which he instantly turned around to see his son, a warm smile forming on his lips as he saw Wally.

❛❛Yes, son?❜❜ He'd ask calmly, turning to pose all his attention on him, listening closely to his question. The radio? It should be— Wait, what? ❛❛Cool music? Hahah, oh dear, sweetheart, if you want to hear cool music you dont have to put it in the fridge❜❜

He chuckled lovingly, patting his head before standing up, looking around for a while before turning back at Wally. ❛❛Lets look for the radio together, it should be in the house... If not, I can play you some cool music on my guitar!❜❜

Wally nodded slowly in agreement. "I've seen pictures in the books Frank owns. I bet it would be nice to sit in the sand and look out at it. That would be the most." It would be a good excuse for a day trip for everyone in the Neighborhood! Oh, but Home might not be able to come along. Wally would need to figure out how it could travel before suggesting it as an idea. Or maybe someone else would have a good idea - Hold on. There was still a conversation happening.

"Yes. Carmine. It isn't as vivid as the red I normally use for painting, but it still looks very nice. Sometimes, I think I see a hint of it in the sunset..." He trailed off as his words, along with Melody's suggestion, made an idea slowly form in his mind. "Maybe I could use the new colours to help me paint a sunset. Would I be able to borrow your book on colors sometime? I want to make sure that if I put in an order with Howdy that I have everything just right. Just like how you work really hard to make the perfect outfits."

Hello there! Welcome to dreamingofmuses, a humble hub-blog penned by an Irish fish called Ash. While these are neither the most active nor the fastest batch of roleplay blogs out there, the goal is to try and bring good times to the dash.

"Oh, thank you, Wally!" Naomi didn't really think to wear a costume, so she grabbed an old bedsheet and cut out some holes. Quick and easy ghost.

"Let me see... ah! Here you go!" It's a bead animal! She made a dragonfly on a keyring.

"Remus? What's your favourite animal?" The pair might have been working on different art projects, but it was one of those questions that had been spinning in Wally's mind for a while now. (heythereneighbor)

The pair had been Doing Things Alone together for a while, and Wally’s question pulled Remus from his deep reverie to smile brightly at the other. “Octopuses! They’re the coolest animal in the whole world!” As he speaks, he flips his sketchbook around to show Wally the underwater scene he was drawing, complete with octopus wrapping around a fish.

"Hey there, Frank!" There's a familiar, cheerful voice as Wally pokes his head around the corner. "I was in the middle of trying to draw some flowers, when I realised I forgot what they're called. They come in reds and pinks and purples and curl upward like they're pretending to be a cup." As he speaks, Wally's hands mimic the shape he's attempting to describe. (heythereneighbor :D )

❝ Pretending to be a CUP you say ? ❞ Frank tapped his fingers on his book's cover , thinking if he could GUESS the flower without assistance . Only to SIGH out and open his gardening book again .

Flipping through the pages , past LILY OF THE VALLEY and suggestions it could be a BUTTERCUP or TULIP .

If I had a nickel for every time I took on a muse with a pompadour and striped trousers, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Oh Blast! If only Julie hadn't forgotten her most favorite Red sweater today for being in such a rush to meet up with Frank, she wouldn't have gotten this cold already. Luckily, Wally was here to help her out as she gently took the oversized sweater from his hand and hastily put it on for immediate warmth.
