Vorel’s eyes squint slightly as the crown is placed on her head, her second eyelid flicking over her eyeball and then back as she looks up at the flowers. Now her ears were bright pink, especially seeing the familiar cactus bloom.

“Oh this... this is very sweet. Thank you...” She can’t keep the smile off her face though, and her happy colors came through vibrantly.

He motions for Trotter to clamber up his arm -- he curls comfortably around his neck like a scaly purple scarf -- and the tiefling gathers himself up to full height.

“Mm...” He narrows his gaze at the pink-eyed man, a slight tilt to his head. “I’m not in your way, am I?” Armir asks, taking a step back at the proximity to take in the other’s guise.

“have you always wanted to be a teacher?” an innocent question, but a somewhat indulgent one from caleb. it’s something that weighs on his mind every now and then, but there’s no reason to express them outright, so he deflects with questions regarding other people’s experiences.

    ---- keyleth walked into the hall, looking to meet her colleague. that was the best way to describe it, right? partner wasn’t completely correct. looking around, keyleth made eye contact with the other who was being led in. small wave and kind smile, the druid walked up, “hello, i’m keyleth! i’m thrilled to work with someone so knowledgeable such as yourself!” she greeted.

it’s not somewhere he wants to be. not a position he wants to be in. the process was quick, less a friendly visit and more dumping him off on the doorstep practically with a, ‘we’re sorry we can’t stay longer, but we have very important things to do and we promise we’ll be back soon, play nice, okay byeeee!’ essek should be thankful they took the time for him at all. 

he is thankful. it dulls in comparison to the nerves and paranoia and aching clawing up his chest and burning his throat. his whole body is strung taut, a thin thread ready to snap against the faintest pressure. feet not quite touching the floor, because in a way that is his security. his expression is as neutral as he can make it. the smile is soft and fabricated. he feels like he should be wearing some sort of disguise, but supposedly he is there on some measure of trust, and this individual did not balk entirely at keeping a drow in his home. 

uncertainty is not a new faucet of his life, but this particular brand of it is. somehow it is less comforting to be here and alive than steeling for death behind prison bars. at least he���d known what was coming. moping, however, will do him little good and he has an appearance to keep up. wants to make a good impression, if not for himself than for the people who put him here. who went so far out of their way for someone who surely does not deserve that measure of loyalty. 

“i---uh, well,” for someone so articulate he feels his tongue numb under the circumstances. essek clears his throat gently and tries again, this time with better results, “i thank you, greatly, for what you are doing. it is... a lot to ask for, i am aware, so if there is in any way i can be of assistance do not hesitate to ask. you’ll find i am very useful, otherwise i doubt our friends would have bothered with all of this.”

× WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE SMELL LIKE?

If you’ve ever spent time with reptiles, you have a vague idea of what she smells like! Dusty with a rather unique smell underneath, as well as a little like stormy weather or even a slight ozone smell.

× HOW OFTEN DOES YOUR MUSE BATHE/SHOWER? ANY HABITS?

Not very often. Vorel grew up where water was very precious and was almost never used for bathing unless a wound desperately needed to be cleaned. Vorel is truly clean only about twice a year after she has her full body shed. She’s very pretty right after she sheds but it doesn’t last very long.

× DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY TATTOOS OR PIERCINGS?

Vorel has a single silver hoop earring in her left ear. The hoop is hollow inside and actually jingles slightly when she moves around. It cannot be taken out. No tattoos, and she will likely keep it that way.

× ANY BODY MOVEMENT QUIRKS? ( E.G. KNEE SHAKES? )

Oh definitely! Vorel moves around quite a bit unless she’s hunting, twitching her ears and licking her nose to smell the air. The spines on her body tend to twitch as well, and her tail usually adjusts itself from time to time.

× WHAT DO THEY SLEEP IN? UNDERWEAR OR PJS?

Nothin! She wears no clothes and sleeps in none too, she just doesn’t see the point. Clothes don’t keep her warm and she has natural armor. [16 armor class all by herself]

× WHAT’S THEIR FAVOURITE PIECE OF CLOTHING?

I mean, if she had to wear clothes for an event, something loose fitting and comfortable would be best. But not a dress, she wouldn’t wear a dress.

× HOW DO THEY SLEEP? POSITION?

So in the desert, Vorel would sleep on her stomach with her arms and legs buried in the sand under her, making her look like a crocodile floating on the surface with just her head, back, and tail exposed. But now that she’s not in the desert, she will either sleep on her stomach hugging a pillow under her head, or sitting up.

× WHAT DO THEIR HANDS FEEL LIKE?

The tops of Vorel’s hands feel very rough, but her palms are soft. They’re almost like human palms, but composed of smaller scales as well as finger pads for better grip. Yes, Vorel has beans. Very important. Her claws are kept mostly sharp but she is careful with them.

From most preferable to least: his own vehicle, bikes, public transport, rideshares, taxis. The more control he has over the situation, the better.

4. how does their drug / nicotine / alcohol use differ from their canon verse?

I think that Armir probably smokes more cigarettes in a modern-fantasy setting than he does in his canon situation. He has smoked weed before as well, but that was definitely a younger-Armir situation. As far as alcohol goes, I think it’s about the same as his canon verse which is a moderate amount with a preference for wine. 

11. where do they shop?  where would they like to, if comfort, location, or price tag weren’t the issue? 

I will unashamedly admit that little Armir was a Hot Topic shopper. For SURE. Currently I think he just finds most of his wardrobe in thrift stores, or online -- I’m not a gothic shopper myself but MAYBE from time to time he’ll buy ... Accessories from HT. Sue me. He also definitely supports indie artists/creators that make the sort of clothing he’s looking for. Also again, he doesn’t have expensive tastes when it comes to clothing - but I think he’d go for slightly more high-end jewelry/accessories if he could.
