Hexagon-shaped box made with basic materials
Today I wanted a solution for an easy-to-carry box for my pencils that I can nest into each other (like russian dolls (those wooden box dolls you can insert into each other)).
My solution turned towards this hexagon-shaped box which uses basic Steckverbindungen, cuts and folds.
In the sketch you see solid lines - these need to be cut.
The dashed lines need to be folded.
I reduced the size of my blueprint sketch by 5% and by 10% to have smaller grids.
Then I transferred the three differently sized grids on foil and assembled them:
The first attempt:
This 3-box-assemble is not stable enough, because the foil I used is very thin and too instable. And I made lots of mistakes and was overally very sloppy with crafting.
Yet, overally this works ok. If I improve the previously mentioned aspects this box assemble will work fine.
I might:
- use thicker material
- be more exact with crafting each box
- consider using 3 clamps for additional stability
- improve the Steckverbingungen between the three boxes
I can insert the three foil boxes into each other.
(I might make photos later. but right now I am very sleepy and want to "laze around". )
Perhaps I might write a better-structured post later as well. (once I crafted the improved model)
after all I enjoy the hexagon design - and how well I could use isometric grid paper to draw the pattern for that box.

Six notebook stickers by Spindex corp, produced in 1982. They are made as labels, and most contain lines labelled Name and Address.
(Description under Read more)
From the top, the first is in the shape of a pencil, the lines for name and address in the yellow center acting as the corners of the implied hexagonal shape.
Second, a yellow spiky shape warns: "TOUCH THIS AND YOU WILL SELF DESTRUCT IN 30 SECONDS" with the label beneath.
Third, A rainbow with a golden star in the center has a golden framed box beneath to input your own text.
Fourth, a red clockwork rollerskate travels to the right with the speed lines behind it crossing a dark blue back ground. The purple frame curves in on the top right coner to match the shape of the rollerskate. The label is below.
Fifth, a black handled paintbrush makes an oval trail of rainbow paint.
Sixth, a green frame has the label at the top, and the top third of the globe in the bottom right corner, a space ship flies on top, above the frame.

GIF LAYOUT/TEMPLATE PACK!
i've had my beloved blog for what feels like forever, but today it turns 13, so in celebration and as a little thank you to all of you for following my nonsense and sticking around, i've decided to share some of my favourite layouts that i've created.
PLEASE credit if you use any of these! either link to this post or the original sets linked below!!! (except of course the sharpening actions!)
HEXAGON LAYOUT - this is my favourite kind of set to make so i hope y'all have as much fun with this as i do. there's two folders of the layout, one is just the reverse of the other depending on how you want your gifs to look, just clip your gifs to each hexagon and watch it all take shape! [first seen here]
PALETTE MOVIE POSTER - this psd has folders for each element, so the text layers are labelled in a group, and then the palette boxes are grouped together too, just fill each layer clipped to a palette square with your chosen colour! [first seen here]
LETTERBOXD TEMPLATE - i almost didn't share this one because of the labour of love it was to make, but feel like i'm so proud of it, it deserves to be shared. each movie space is split into a group, and within that there's the folders for the star ratings. you can toggle on/off the heart/review/date (as the ratings change you'll just have to shift over these logos to keep things uniform!) and clip your gif over the shape for the movie poster. [first seen here]
DIAMOND MULTI GIF LAYOUT - the most simple of all the layouts, but it got a really great reaction so i'm throwing that in here too, again like the hexagons, there's two versions. one being the reverse of the others, just clip your gifs to each shape. [first seen here]
SHARPEN ACTIONS - VERSION #1 & VERSION #2 - have been asked about sharing these recently so thought i'd add this in, i mostly use version one but occasionally it's too sharp for certain media, so i use version two, which is just the same thing without the last extra sharpening!

In the special, why emonette couldn't make a wish? Was it because of Supreme leader?
hello october anon, i'm very sorry for the delay i've had such a time but believe me when i say toxigriffe hasn't left my brain. i'm about to give you so much more of an answer to what you asked (but dw there will be pictures)
so it looks like whatever seal plikki have on their mouths does belong to the supreme. and it appears that even in their true forms this seal still lasts.
and it's not just a block either. it seems like resisting actually hurts plikki, like a shock collar.
and then right after marinette makes the wish, the seal appears again beneath her feet.
whatever power the supreme has, it's more powerful than the wish. but what could have made the supreme so powerful to begin with? my theory is this: the supreme got a hold of the ladybug and black cat miraculous (maybe even the whole miracle box) and made a wish. we don't know what it was, but it seems that there's evidence enough to back up the inclusion of the clause that no one can supercede their wish. that's what makes them the supreme.
lets take a look at what the miracle box looks like in fu and then marinette's possesion:
and then here's the supreme's (from the intro), complete with their symbol and everything:
doesn't it look like the symbol of the order of the guardians?? just with an x superimposed over it??? and since fu had the lb & bc miraculouses at the start of the series, maybe this miracle box that the supreme acquired as the guardian also had those miraculous. that's how toxigriffe ended up getting their proper miraculous in the paris special!!
i think the intro is telling us a story of what happened, actually. first, the supreme got a hold of the miracle box. next, they made a wish. (i assume it's an image of the wish, given what the wish looked like in re-creation)
the image splits into hexagons, with the one with the wish happening forming in the center. i'm guessing all those other hexagons are parallel worlds, and this world in the center is the one the supreme became the supreme of
then we get an image of this person, who i assume is the supreme, given the giant x they are standing in front of - the same symbol that blocks the guardian insignia on the box and on plikki's mouths. like all the fractured worlds featured in the previous image, the supreme stands in the midst of fractured pieces of what looks like glass.
maybe all the shards represent worlds the supreme has tried to take over before, but failed to. maybe they are all the worlds the supreme has conquered already. or maybe the broken mirrors are meant to parallel the supreme to poor emonette, whose misuse of her powers (under the supreme's threat of her life) have fractured her body and soul.
but unlike emonette, the supreme doesn't have the miraculous of creation. the supreme isn't the girl who can fix anything.
SPEAKING OF WHICH, YOU WANNA KNOW WHO I THINK IT IS? (you know who i think it is!!)
to begin with, we get this sneak peek of the supreme's suit. those colors are unmistakeably purple and gray (and green but idk why that's there).
who know who else would have a purple suit?
YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE HAS AN X SHAPE?
YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END OF RE-CREATION?
YOU KNOW WHO CAN GRANT UNIVERSE-HOPPING POWERS??????
the person with the butterfly miraculous, that's who.
maybe there's a reason the supreme wants the butterfly back so badly. the toxigriffe universe is a universe where the supreme doesn't have a complete miracle box after all. at least, it was when we left off.
but maybe s6 will change that.

While I initially attributed the Hexagram to No. 6, I wonder if it's supposed to reference the Seven Mysteries instead?
If you look at the image above, you can see six triangles and one hexagon make up a hexagram. Six + One = Seven.
And in the Mystery Meeting during Ch. 61, Hanako's seat is in the center while the other mysteries sit in seats surrounding him.
While we never get a clear overhead view of the trial, it's entirely possible the seats could be arranged in the shape of a hexagram...? At the very least, the imagery of the Mysteries surrounding the center shape (7) is present.
The significance in the hexagram lies in its prominence during the Number 6 arc with the 六つ目編み or hexagram bamboo pattern. But given its importance in the song the little Tsukasa sings in the Red House, maybe it represents more than a mere nod to Number 6.
As for the hexagram itself, I probably don't need to explain it to you. It's a symbol with a deep connection to spirituality and religion across the world.
Heck, you can even see it on Kou's Raiteijou:
Given the school mysteries are referred to like gods, being associated with a symbol like the hexagram isn't too surprising.
In any case, I could be totally wrong, but it's another fun thing to think about. And if that song Sumire and Tsukasa sang ever comes back, the one presumably about a hexagram-patterned bamboo-woven box at the bottom of a body of water, then maybe that box has a deep connection to the school mysteries, too!

Day 10. Mandragora. JSABTOBER 2024
Corrupts tell a tale of a Hexagon who bounds through paradise- bringing the Spring seasons along with her- no one knows where she appears from.. or where she mysteriously vanishes to after the spring seasons- but you will find her presence in a patch of Flowers- The only shape to have properly seen her in person Was Revire [Creatures ov deception] as Hexpring had asked her to revive her pet butterfly. Revire did- and before she could ask who Hexpring was- she was gone- leaving only a bag of star shaped candies behind.
Hexpring is commonly depicted as a dancer in music boxes- Hexpring herself doesn't understand why- but she finds it quite adorable nonetheless

could I maybe ask for a Cg!Frank Castle and Cg!Matt Murdock with little reader? I love them both so much and my poly heart thinks they would be such great cgs- and little me does too lol. If thats okay?
Bedtime!
CG!Frank Castle x CG!Matt Murdock x GNLittle!reader
Rating: Gen
Summary: It's bedtime for little reader so Dada Matt Murdock and Papa Frank Castle help them get ready for bed.
Word Count: 409
Warnings: confirmed romantic relationship, bottles, non-sexual un/redressing, baby/toddler reader headspace, kissing, non-sexual tickling
A/N: Sorry such a short story took so long! I watched some of the show but not the whole thing so it may not be perfect. Thank you for the request anon! This was fun to write. :D
Support me on AO3!
You laid on your tummy on the floor while Matt sat next to you. “Dada! Dis’ one! Do dis one, kay?” you asked, handing him a star shaped block.
He ran his hands over it. “It’s not a circle… Is it a square?” he joked.
“No!” you giggled.
“Not a hexagon…”
“No,” you hinted again.
“Oh! Okay, I know, now. It’s a triangle, right?!”
You erupted with laughter. “Es a star dada!” you told him.
He smiled and put the star in the right hole of the box as your papa, Frank, stepped into the room.
“Hey kiddo, it’s bedtime,” he said in his quiet, low voice, leaning over the couch. He then came over to help dada Matt up, offering his hand to him, before picking you up, too.
“Bed-time,” you repeated.
“Yeah. We gotta brush your teeth, put on your pajamas,” he listed in a calming voice, hugging you to him, making you feel all warm.
Dada usually helped you brush your teeth when you were this little, but tonight papa did, keeping you in his arms he handed you the toothbrush and timed you before giving you a stiff pat on the back to spit and rinse.
Then, he set you down on the big bed, right in dada’s lap! “I’m gonna go make sweetpea a bottle. You’re on pajama duty,” he said to dada, before kissing him on the cheek.
“Ew!” you squealed in mock disgust.
“Is kissing so gross?” Matt asked with a grin.
“Yeah!” you replied.
He rolled up your shirt to plant kisses on your tummy, which quickly devolved into tickling you as he got your day clothes off and put your cozy, footie pajamas on.
Then, he suddenly stopped.
Opening your eyes, you realized he had crawled up onto his side of the bed and was about to pick you up to be put in his lap. “It sounds like Frank’s all done with your bottle,” he whispered.
Sure enough, he was right and papa returned, shaking the bottle up as he handed it over to his husband to give you and selected a story out of your bookshelf.
Many of them were in braille, but there were a couple that had been printed as well. He took down a simple one and started to read, petting your legs that spread across his lap.
You were half asleep so quickly. All you felt after shutting your eyes was the replacement of your bottle with your pacifier and your caregivers shifting closer to one another.

For Science and the Frontier [Portal + Titanfall 2 oneshot]
The woman brushed several strands of brown hair away from her vivid blue eyes. Her orange jumpsuit was non-standard, bearing the patch of a division few heard about - the Bad Eggs, who were IMC defectors and escapees of their deadly experimental labs now serving the Militia, fighting for freedom from the spar-spanning megacorporation's clutches.
She regarded the taller scruffy mechanic facing them with his grease-stained jumpsuit and weathered face with an eerie calm, and an almost thousand-meter stare from those large eyes.
Signing carefully in the hand-code she'd been taught only months before, she asked a simple question of the row of eight- to ten-meter high robots standing in their alcoves behind the mechanic.
Which one does the best science?
The mechanic arched an eyebrow, then looked down to the non-standard Core secured to the woman's body by a crossbody strap. A single baleful eye whose casings were mounted vertically, forming a rounded gray-and-black rectangle. A single red active light glowed underneath that eye, reminiscent of a mole.
"Yes. Science. And I want neurotoxin emitters." The AI's voice was a silken hum of ominous and sarcastic femininity.
"You do realize," the mechanic sighed out, "that everybody's gonna be wearing armor, and the only ones who'll breathe the toxin'll be the grunts? You're gonna need to do bigger science against another Titan. Especially since you'll be in one yourself."
Yes, the woman signed with a slight snort. Grunts are like your turrets. If I'm out I die to their bullets so you better kill 'em. But you're gonna want the big toys for the Titans. I've seen what they can do. Wanted to be a Pilot since I was a kid.
"Well if you're the runaway lab-type, I have a recommendation," the mechanic replied with a chuckle. He was deaf in one ear from a grenade explosion eight years ago during his Rifleman days, and could read her signs as easily as hearing.
He motioned to the mostly white Titan directly behind him, bearing orange and blue accents from some customization by the freelancer shop the Militia had bought this one from. Some robot gladiator ring the IMC had raided for illegal profiteering who'd thrown in with the Frontier.
Its head was hexagonal with a square optic framed by four trapezoidal shutters. Its limbs were rectangular boxes with four-fingered hands and sturdy broad feet.
"The Ion. Lasers are its thing. Shoulder-mounted lasers, tripwire system for mines, a vortex shield which throws projectiles back at the enemy, and a laser Core. So smaller beams and then bigger beams. Y'know, real science-like. And you can upgrade and kit it out with fancier gear as time goes on. Customize it."
He turned to glance up at the inert Titan with a shrug before turning back to the pair. "This one came off a gladiator ring, so it's combat-proven. The uh, onboard AI decided to swap out to a Ronin. I dunno. Why trade good firepower for stealth? Whatever."
Shrugging, he eyed the orange-suited mute Pilot and her AI partner.
Rumors swirled around this pair. Something about teaming up to take down a major IMC lab with some kind of portals, deadly neurotoxin, and their own test chambers turned against them. The woman was one of the fastest-trained and qualified Pilots on record despite her mutism, and the AI...well, the name GLaDOS had been whispered by other escaped test subjects over the years.
He wouldn't've figured that one for a Militia sign-on, but revenge and friendship were powerful motivators.
The more he thought about that Ion, the more he decided it was the perfect choice. Now he'd rather bet on these two surviving than whichever IMC forces they got thrown against.
"Just from looking at your non-standard Core shape here, it'll take a little work to get it to fit in there. Pull the main optic housing, put that in, do a little jury-rigging...but it'll look custom." He squinted at the Core for a moment. "Annnd, you're gonna wanna talk to the shop about custom-rigging a SERE kit. After that Situation on Typhon, they're making 'em standard-issue."
The Pilot nodded, signing out I heard about that. Sad that he lost his Titan.
"Y'never know," the mechanic remarked with a shrug. "You two're proof of that phrase. Also, I heard scut your portal device is uhh, portable? Maybe we could upscale it into a larger gun for like, teleporting or something?"
Smiling, the woman retrieved the sleek black-and-white device she'd kept strapped to one thigh. It did resemble a gun, with a cover that protected the carrying hand, and a round maw at the other end which currently glowed a bright orange.
She glanced to the panels lining the floor, and then the bay's ceiling. One shot fired a blast of light which created an orange ellipsoidal portal on the floor. The second shot fired a blast of blue light which opened a blue-ringed portal with a clear view up to the ceiling.
The mechanic walked up to it, quirking an eyebrow. He knelt, sticking one foot through it. A quick glance up showed his foot jutting out from the ceiling portal.
"I'll be damned," he muttered under his breath as he rose to his feet.
"The Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device," GLaDOS explained. "Zero-point power source, a ten-thousand-kilometer range, and a thousand uses...all scientific. You could kill enemies by dropping them from high altitude into pools of acid, or relocate them as far away as a nearby moon."
Her Pilot signed out a quick And I'm not going anywhere without it. Can you build a big version for the main gun? GLaDOS has the blueprints in her memory.
Chuckling, the mechanic nodded with a crooked grin. "I think I like you two already." He shot them double finger-guns. "Because I never run away from a good challenge."
"I think we're going to work very well together," the AI purred.
Notes: I have an AO3 account so if this turns into anything more than a oneshot, I know where to stick it. Based on the suggestion of an Ion Titan for GLaDOS in the previous post with this title.
And now I'm imagining her making hordes of turrets she can drop off to cause trouble, the ability to hack into big facilities and turn their paneling (like the factory level which was VERY Portal) against IMC forces, and probably hijack any Spectre in range too...
Goddammit. This was supposed to be a hypothetical. Strictly for science.

There are 5 sets of footsteps and a slithering sound above them. Chetney senses a handful of reilorans, and something vaguely familiar but unrecognizable -- potentially a bormodo.
Telepathic bond is such a good spell, especially for this sneaky-ass b&e-obsessed party. It being a ritual is saving their asses right now
As they open the door to the basement, Laudna sees one of the sasquatch-like people, who is apparently directing a domesticated sand piranha (the source of the slithering sound).
They almost avoid detection, but one of the piranhas runs into Imogen and takes notice of her, starting initiative.
Name a more iconic duo than Laura casting inflict wounds and a natural 1. I'll wait
Fearne turns into one of the piranhas ("slithers") to try and trick the people above into leaving. At this rate, she's gonna be the one who gets separated from the party not because she got captured or anything, but because she doesn't know when the fuck to stop committing to the bit
She succeeds in luring them away, and initiative ends, but now she has to figure out how to get away from them and back to the rest of the group. She brings them to some random guy's door, and when the rest of the slithers burrow, she takes off back to the glassblowing shop.
I'm just realizing that if Keyleth comes to the moon with an army of Ashari, she can use animal shapes and transform all of them into slithers to burrow down into the moon.
They start talking to Zesh about the glass they make into weapons and where it comes from. There are mines for the glass, and glass that comes from deeper down can have magical properties -- the one they demonstrate appears to glow in the presence of Ruidus-born or psychic people. She also agrees to craft a new glass sawblade for FCG!
Most of Ruidus is a bartering society; they don't have currencies, really, and they mostly trade in crafting materials, services, and other such things. Gold and platinum are occasionally useful as a crafting material, and is very rare here. The only renewable resource they have is bone, and they take that from both hunts and their fallen.
Orym buys a shortsword that glows in the presence of Ruidusborn in exchange for some druidcrafted strawberries.
I'm still fascinated by how the day/night cycle works on Ruidus. Like, it makes sense that it would be the same as Exandria's now, because it's tidally locked and directly tethered to the Tishtan site, but what about before?
Fearne uses dispel magic on the silver box they stole from the caravan. Inside, there's something wrapped in black velvet: a beautifully simple hexagonal device with runes and grooves carved into it. It's similar to the things that were making the dispel waves at the Tishtan site, but refined -- arcana and art brought together, something almost wholly alien. It's not perfect, and there are some blemishes on it, like it's old or weathered; it's an incredibly strong piece of abjuration magic, one part of a larger array designed not to protect but to disrupt. It's also very old, and the only other place they've seen runes like this is inside of FCG -- this is a piece of Aeorian technology.
So wait-- the ones at the Tishtan site were unrefined, shoddily constructed, which would suggest that Ludnius was developing them and got better over time. But if these ones are Aeorian technology, then that means that Ludinus created those reconstructions to use at the Tishtan site because he needed the actual ones on Ruidus, so there's a limited supply of them and he can't just make more. Unless that caravan was headed to the bloody bridge from Kreveris, in which case there must be a piece of Aeor on the moon somewhere where these things are coming from. Regardless, it's most definitely tied back to Aeor's factorum malleus, which implies that the dispelling waves at the malleus key weren't just for defensive purposes, they actually had something to do with the construction and function of the key itself.
Ruidian-glass weapons gain a bonus if they're within a certain distance of a psychically-enabled or Ruidusborn creature. They also crit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20, but when you crit you roll 1d6 and on a 6, the blade shatters.
With an arcana check, FCG learns some things about the Aeorian abjuration thingy: it's intended to scramble and disrupt other types of magic, as with dispel magic or counterspell.
The Bells Hells, walking with confidence as Vanguard members, start heading toward the Volition safehouse. As they travel, they see families stargazing, looking up at Exandria.
As they approach the watch tower where they'll try to spot the safehouse, Imogen pretends to be Liliana to get past the guards, and it actually works very well. From there, Laudna spots a little purple flag on a house close to a newly-excavated patch of earth.
There's also a sense that there's a mythos that has been woven amongst the general populace about Liliana. They are almost reverent of Imogen, crowding around to get a look like she's some kind of celebrity.
They reach what looks like the dumping point for an excavated tunnel, with massive piles of earth and rock everywhere and only a handful of buildings with lazy smoke trails. They appear to be digging a new mine of some sort.
They meet Zesh's contact, but they immediately think that Imogen is Liliana and completely shut down in abject fear -- but Imogen convinces them that she isn't her mother, and they are allowed inside to have a conversation.
They are pointed to Rashina of the Golden Hammer and Gaztomo, the current leaders of the Volition. The guardian of the safehouse opens a secret passage for them, and they remove their Vanguard garments before entering.
Upon presenting the head of a reiloran juggernaut, they are allowed passage farther in. They come to a central door -- "well. Either you're telling the truth, or you die tonight. Good luck."
In this central chamber, they are surrounded by more than 30 figures that step out of the darkness. Some look humanoid, some are tall and lanky, some have Reiloran crests or juggernaut physicality or shrike chains, some are dreamers or bormodos -- at least one is a dragonborn. They part, and approaching them is a powerful, stoic reiloran, gaunt but serious, wearing a metal breastplate and burgundy cloak, with a gold-colored hammer on her belt. Her head-crest, tattooed, splits into 3 flower petal-like designs with cold iron chains that hang over her face. As she steps forward, they can feel the reverence that the chamber has for Rashina of the Golden Hammer.
She speaks aloud: "Who among you would you consider to be your leader? Who speaks for you?" (Orym pushes Imogen forward.) "You. You're of her lineage, are you not? You're a Timult?" As soon as Imogen says yes, weapons are drawn, and shimmers of glowing green glass shine from the corners of the chamber. "Tell me what it is you intend before we strike you down and leave you in ashes." Imogen responds: "We want to destroy Ludinus, Otohan Thull, my mother, and everyone who would seek to control the people of Ruidus."
After some further questioning and a persuasion check, Rashina accepts them, allows them to ask questions of the Volition. They follow her through the crowd, and she leads them into a massive chamber: an expanse of open space that is filled with hundreds, more, of bridges, structures, and archways. Carved stone that bind together like a hive, a network of caverns that bleed into a massive, heart-like cityscape. Thousands, tens of thousands, more, people live here -- thousands of little sparkling blue lights like fireflies, lanterns. Structures that spread forever into the dark. This is the heart of Kreveris, this is the city -- there is moving energy, liveliness, like a blood-stream of people and the vibrancy of an entire society. The architecture is similar to Exandria, but changed, a facsimile, remade to fit the materials of Ruidus. Like bits of the history of the world, long-gone into day, put together and made new, made unique. And in the center of it all, there is a singular spire of faintly-glowing Ruidian glass that rises from floor to ceiling like a tree trunk.
Oh I am loving the imagery here -- the idea that Kreveris isn't just a capital city, it's the literal heart of Predathos.
Rashina speaks up. "What we want is inside there -- the five minds who have enslaved us for hundreds of years. That glowing heart of the city: we aim to bring it down."

I haven't posted on here in ages but ermm.... Look at my cute little sillies!! Lemon and Heffalump!
Lemon is a wonder pet and Heffalump is a gizbo type dubby!
The alt box design version of dubby with the hexagonal box shape appears to include gizbo type programming :3!!! And also MASSIVE ears on most I've seen lol. Heffalump is no exception.
And the elusive wonder pet! I'm so happy to have one in my favorite color! :3 A friend of mine in Italy found him in a lot of wonder pets found in a warehouse, then sold him to another friend of mine in Canada who traded him with me! So Lemon's been around LOL
I am absolutely obsessed with these 2 lately 😭💖

White Day Surprise
Ando shiki x reader
You found it weird , finding a box of chocolates under your desk. I mean sure, every other girl is finding either chocolate or disappointment but you didn't expect for you to be in the former considering it was White Day. No name, no signature, no thing to go off of just a nearly written note that wrote 'thanks'.
You held the piece of paper up and examined it. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, just some hard paper that you could get from a craft store. You moved it to the ceiling light as if it could reveal some sort of secret but nope. You couldn't stop admiring the penmanship though, it was prettier than yours. You just wished you had a clue at whose handwriting it was. You then placed the card back down on your desk and your eyes wandered back 5o the box.
A hexagon shaped white box neatly tied with a purple ribbon. You haven't opened it yet. You were too busy trying to figure kut what you did to get this gift. Usually a girl who gets chocolate on this day is basically getting a returning gift from the on that they give on valentine's, however you didn't recall ever giving one.
You hadn't finished accessing the situation when the ball rang, signaling the start of class. You supposed you could continue pondering about it later as you slide the box under your desk. Unbeknownst to you the whole time you did your antics of checking the gift a pair of eyes were following your every move.
You went to the rooftop during recess, bringing the small box of chocolates with you. You don't know why but no one ever really comes here so it's a really nice place for a getaway alone.
You were walking to the edge but it turns out you weren't alone. He didn't seem to notice you until you got closer, your footsteps the only noise that signaled your presence.
“Ah, Y/n, what are you doing here?” Shiki asked timidly.
You looked at him, soft fluffy brown hair that always made you tempted to run your hand through it, pinchable round cheeks and those eyes that sometimes seem to waiver but always sparkle when he's rapping. If you were asked to name a cute boy at school it would be him albeit the little bundle of nerves he is.
You got lost in your thoughts until you snapped out of it. “Oh? Hmm? Oh… just needed some quiet time to think about something.” You answered.
Shiki seemed to have caught on as his eyes were on the box in your hand. He blushed faintly but it went unnoticed by you. You walked past him to the edge of the roof which was fenced off.
“You know Shiki? I'm surprised to see you here. You never seem keen on this place.” You told him, still looking at the horizon. You sat down and patted the floor beside you. “Care to join me?”
Shiki sat down although he looked pale and his breath had quickened a bit. “Hey, you don't need to force yourself to join me. As I thought you don't really like this place, Shiki.”
Shiki shook his head. “N-no it's fine. I-i wanted to be here.” Truth be told he was there because he knew you frequented the roof a lot. It took him a lot of courage to get there but it'll be worth it in the end.
You hummed thoughtfully as you examined the box that you had placed in front of you. You had finally opened it, the ribbon now in your hand. “What do you reckon Shiki?” You picked up a chocolate and examined it. It seemed handmade and seemed delectable.
“It looks good. Handmade.” Shiki noted.
“Yeah, I still have no idea who gave it to me although I have to give it to them. It looks delicious.” You took a bite. “And tastes delicious too.” You were lost in thought which made you miss Shiki’s expression, flashing from surprise and returning to normal again. It caught it off guard that you didn't know who gave it to you when it should've been obvious.
“Hmm? Wouldn't that mean you gave someone a valentine?” Shiki asked.
You did plan to give it to the boy beside you but you caught cold feet at the last moment and left the box of chocolates somewhere. You worked really hard on them however you didn't manage to give it to him when you saw his smiling face. He just felt out of reach to you. “Did you get any? Valentine chocolate I mean.” You asked.
Shiki blushed. “Ah yeah, one.”
That made your stomach drop and maybe got you a bit jealous but it's your fault that you ran away at the last moment. Anyways it was you to blame. “Ah I see….” You went quiet.
“Say-” Shiki started.
“I'm going to take my leave now, Shiki. Thanks for the company.” You left the rooftop before Shiki could even speak.
He sighed frustrated at the lost chance. He stared at the box of chocolates that you had forgotten and picked it up. He was ecstatic that you liked it but he wished he would man up and tell you his feelings just like Yohei and Saimon had advised him to. He had hoped to tell you that he had received that box of chocolates. Someone had found them with his name and your signature on it and passed it on to him. He was a blushing mess at that time. To think someone like him to have his feelings returned even though you were unaware of it was absolute heaven. The little animal shaped chocolates you had taken so much care into making almost made him tear up and the short but simple note that you wrote got his heart fluttering. ‘You might not think much of yourself but I think a lot about you.’ was what you wrote. You didn't have the neatest handwriting but he could tell you tried to make it as neat and pretty as possible for him which touched him. He had got back to the bar in such a chipper mood that day even when Ryu came to pick him up he was curious. Saimon and Yohei too but they seemed happy to see him in such a good mood. The box of chocolate you had forgotten would eventually be returned to your desk with a new note hidden in the crevasse of the box. Only when you finished the chocolates would you find it. It would eventually end up going home with you. And that night, you would eventually lie on your bed with the ‘thanks’ note in hand, staring at it. Wondering who it could be and you being full of regrets about missed opportunities with Shiki, things left unsaid. Someday these things will be said but maybe today wasn't the day.

4 for firstprince please!
You got Catherine too as a bonus, I apologise for any emotional damage in advance 😇
Catherine got to her feet suddenly and made her way to the pile of gifts surrounding the tree. Alex looked to Henry in confusion, who was hugging a cushion as he watched television at the other end of the sofa.
Catherine had a small hexagon shaped box when she sat back in between them. Henry perked up, shuffling so he sat cross legged. Alex wanted to keep this image in his head, Henry looked almost boyish next to his mum opening up the box. He snapped a quick photo from his end of the sofa before sitting up right.
The smell of rose and lemon filled the air as a cloud of powdered sugar plummed between them.
‘You’re family now Alex, which means you get the good sweets.’ Catherine announced proudly, her eyebrow cocked. Henry was grinning as he watched Alex take a piece of pink squidgy confectionery. Alex lets out a little moan, his lips and fingertips covered in sugar.
‘Turkish delight was Dad’s favourite. He'd always let us have some after dinner on Christmas eve.’
Henry took a yellow piece, licking the sweetness off his fingers immediately. Catherine took her own piece, sitting back and taking in the boys. Alex and Henry mirrored each other with a knowing smile. And a few of the cracks in everyone's hearts filled with rose and lemon gold.

(i hope this isn't overstepping in some way but the image came to me and i wanna share so)
clearing my throat
idk if vance would just let anyone dig around in his cyberware and inner workings but i think tiger would be very fascinated by the high tech he's going on in there.. all fancy and packed full with more cyberware most anyone could handle
he may be no ripper or even an expert in netrunning cyberware but you'd have to be a gonkbrain to not recognize the beauty of all this tech
oh no worries you're perfectly fine !! i always love it when people tell me they (or their ocs) wanna dig around in vance's mechanical guts :3
tiger...he's got a soft touch. even with his physical prowess and heft during his and vance's friendly scuffles, there's a gentle side to him. it's cautious; it's especially careful when it comes to machinery.
(gotta be, if you're working on less than preem truck engine's bits and kibble with such big, beaned paws)
trade in a mechanic's tools for a ripper's kit. i think vik would lend tiger his, so long as he brings them back clean.
vance's tattoos conceal the realskinn seams on his torso; even if he had unmarked skin, you'd have a hard time finding the seams just by looking. touch him--gently, of course. notice how goosebumps rise in the wake of your touch. how he watches your every move, not out of fear--but interest.
he's used to being studied; poked; prodded; adjusted.
this soft appraisal...he's not sure how to feel about it yet.
so, keep going; make him forget how to decide.
there's a specific tool in a ripper's kit tiger's gonna need. it's a flat-headed wedge; vik uses to pop open the panels of his patient's cyberware.
wedge it here, in the line where vance's torso ends and his arm socket begins. do the same on the other side. easy now. don't brute force it; it'll open if it's meant to open.
congrats! the front of his torso should pop off now. yes, it should come off--it's gonna look weird. don't think about it too hard.
you have now peeled vance back to the first layer of his machinery.
his biomonitor hums red and organic-like from within his titanium ribcage. his pulmonary implants--which are vaguely lung shaped and black, covered in a white, hexagonal cooling mesh--start rising and falling that much faster.
apart from his mechanical biological necessities, his guts are a mass of thick, red, braided wires; open and occupied ports and free data shard storage units; white biolights blinking almost sleepily; arasaka's name and logo embossed or carved or branded into each individual piece of tech.
if tiger pressed his paw pads against any of those parts, they'd hum, warm, in response.
if tiger ran his fingers up and down the wires that constitute vance's central nervous system, vance would shiver.
the layers of his machinery go two more, up to his spine. tiger would find more wires, lights. vance's cyberdeck, also, a spidery, kitbashed thing comprised of golden microchip lines and little silver messages for arasaka techie eyes only.
he's less than comfortable with people accessing him that deeply, though, so the first layer will have to do for now.
he is a beautiful piece of technology, that much is true. he's top of the line; the be-all-and-end-all of arasaka's dedicated netrunning tech; horrifically unique.
while messing around in there--unplugging shit willy nilly, slotting random shards and cables into his free ports, that sort of thing--is extremely dangerous, a little curiosity would never hurt vance.
if anything' he'd encourage it; he's a big nerd for tech, especially of the netrunning kind. he could go on for hours and hours about efficiency and cyberspace and deep diving (even if he can't do that last one anymore).
if tiger wanted to lean over vance like he was another engine in need of observation, box him in on a ripper's chair, or wherever they're doing this appraisal, if tiger thought his parts beautiful...
keep looking; make him remember how to preen under close examination.

Descent
Part 2 of the Resonance AU. This time it's in coldie's perspective as it deals with the countdown of frigil's awakening
Nevi- Cold epic wubbox
Eden- Plant epic wubbox
Rey- Rare wubbox
~~~~~~
It only began a few months ago. Only a few months ago, Nevi learned that the colossals will wake up soon. Only a few months ago did it learn that its worst friend is still out there. And only a few months ago did Nevi begin to walk a path of further anxiety.
---
At first, Nevi didn’t think anything about it. It didn’t want to think anything about it. It did everything it could to stop thinking about it, from doing its favorite activities to sleeping to talking to anyone, anything at all.
But it didn’t work.
Now, it’s been laying in bed all day, swallowing its fears.
Just pretend you didn’t learn anything, and go on with the rest of your day. Simple as that.
It got up, and went outside.
Don’t think about it. Pretend they don’t exist.
Pretend, and you’ll be happy.
---
A light filled its chest. It wasn’t really that warm though. Maybe it’s because it’s perpetually cold. Well, it was minor enough that Nevi didn’t really care.
What it does care about is finding what lies hidden in the snow.
It’s a favorite hobby of its. Dig, find treasure and eat any delicious looking snow it finds. A really fun time.
Today’s discovery ended in success. It found a light blue crystal, in a hexagonal shape. How interesting!
“Ah, how amazing! It looks just like me, and that makes it even more grander!”
It admired the gem, noting how unusually clear it is. As it holds it, it brought it close to its chest for a moment, and it felt a strong wave of heat.
“Mm-!” It winced, and nearly dropped the crystal. It managed to catch it, though.
Nevi noticed that when it brings the crystal close to its core, a wave of warmth courses through its body ”Too warm…” it mutters to itself. When it brings the crystal away, the wave stops.
“Hmm, how strange… just like myself. Hehe!” It doesn’t think anything of it, and opens a portal to go to its room.
There, it brings out a box under its bed of all the blue gems its collected, and puts its recent find inside.
When it opened the box, however, it felt a very intense heat coursing through its body. It winced and closed the box. It takes a moment to take deep breaths.
“Ugh… what was that? Never happened before to me. So unfair.”
It decided to put the gem it found on its dresser, but decently away from it.
Nevi starts to worry about the light it feels now. It only began recently, when it learned that they’ll soon be awakened. Could it be a sign?
No.
It couldn’t be. It severed all ties to them.
Yeah, it couldn’t be…
---
Today is a boring day. There’s a snowstorm outside. Despite Nevi’s love for inconveniencing people and snow, it did not like it when itself was inconvenienced.
With nothing else to do, it decided to entertain itself with its own thoughts.
First, it thought about Evergreen. ‘I wish Eva is okay… Even though I bother it a lot, I really do care for it. I know it holds of hatred towards its own colossal, so with this… Yeah, I hope it’s okay. It most likely is- after all, it’s much stronger than myself, and it has its two little siblings.’
Then, its mind wandered to Wubbox and Rey. ‘Speaking of those two… what’s their problem? Both of them have accidentally hit me when I failed to scare them. Am I that worthy of being hit by you two?! Ha! I’m a powerful prince, for creator’s sake! You should respect me!’
And like how this usually ends, it thinks about itself. ‘Heh. I’m sooo cool and fearless. I’m the best of this family. Weehehe~’
It grew tired as sleepiness crept upon it. Eventually it fell asleep, and had a strange dream.
…
The dream took place in the past. In the caves, where it used to call home.
There, sitting on the floor, was its younger self. Pink eyes and navy blue electricity, and a tired expression on its face. Even then it was smiling, talking happily to… someone. Nevi watches the conversation.
“You know, when I’m able to control my powers, I’ll give myself big wings,” it said to its invisible partner.
“Oh? And what will you do with them?” they asked, curious.
The voice was familiar. Slightly saddened, quiet and high pitched. An anxiety washes over Nevi.
“I’ll fly out of here. And I’ll bring all my friends- no, everyone. I’ll bring everyone out of here. We’ll start a new life on the surface, no matter how hard it’ll be.”
A voice of determination and hope. Its younger self seemed very happy.
“Hmm… that seems nice. But you should really start paying attention to me, you know… Even if I’m your teacher, I am still your friend, and aren’t friends supposed to listen to each other? You’re not acting fairly…” they responded, seeming sad. They were going to go on about how it payed attention to the other residents of the cave, but it quickly stopped them.
“Okay, I know, Frigil. No need to be so clingy,” it teased.
“I-I’m not clingy!” Frigil defended themself, almost immediately, “I just haven’t had a friend in millenia! Is that so bad for me to wish, Carmen?” They were in a slight panic.
At hearing the names Frigil and Carmen, Nevi felt a sting of pain and sorrow.
“Haha, I was just kidding. I’ll listen to ya. I’ve nothing better to do anyways.”
No. No, no, no. Stop saying that.
“Really? Oh, I’m so happy to hear you say that! We’ll be friends forever!!”
Glass shatters, and it wakes up.
“…”
A sorrowful dream.
---
There’s a forest that surrounds the island where Nevi likes to hang out. It went there for any sembalance of comfort, if something like that even exists anymore.
It was just wandering until it saw a strange person with a black parasol. The epic wubbox began to sneak up on it, in order to surprise them. The more it got close to this person, the more certain traits began to stick out.
Long horns, a wooden body, and green electricity…
“Eva? You’re really okay?!”Nevi called out to its cousin in surprise.
Evergreen turned around at the sight of Nevi. It was then it noticed its appearance. Black leaves, a black rose blocking its left eye, and its right eye being bright yellow instead of the bright blue it once had.
“Hello, Nevi. Have you been well?”
A seemingly innocent question, but something was wrong with it. The way it smiled seemed to have a hint of malice.
Nevi brushed it off, not wanting to panic even more than it already is. “Who… are you? You’re not Eva.”
“That is right, I am not Eva anymore. My name is Eden. But no matter; I have something important to talk to you about,” Eden replied, with a small smile on its face.
“What do you mean ‘anymore’? What happened to you…?” Nevi asked, but it went unanswered. Instead, Eden walked up to its cousin, staring down into its eyes, and put a hand upon its cheek.
Nevi recognized the color of that eye. It was Eden’s colossal’s eye color. A shiver run down its spine. Did they do something to its cousin?
“Do you know how to grow into a better person? I do. You’ll soon learn, too. You will be put on the correct path soon enough,” it spoke calmly, but with an implied excitement. “Just as how our lord Grennitch helped me become the best version of myself, your old mentor Frigil shall do so, too.”
“Don’t talk to me about them. You don’t know anything about them or what they’ve done to me,” Nevi snapped at the mention of Frigil, speaking in a cold and sharp way.
“Oh, but I do. You see, I did a lot of research before coming here. I know how dangerous they are, and I understand how you may feel threatened by them. But, I think they didn’t mean to hurt you. Perhaps they were in a bad mood that day.”
“I’m not going to listen to your nonsense. You don’t know me, you don’t know them and you’ll never will. Leave me alone.”
Nevi began to walk away. It was tired of hearing this stranger in its cousin’s body talk about things it never experienced.
As it walked, it heard Eden saying, “If you say so”, or something similar, but it ignored its cousin. Nevi walked back all the way to its room in the castle.
---
As Nevi laid down in its big fancy bed, it thought about that encounter.
What happened to Eva? Why did it look like that? And its eyes….
“Will that happen to me too?”
A scary thought, but a likely one. It didn’t want to admit that last part though.
At the same time, Nevi did break all contact with Frigil. Maybe it was safe?
“Right, I’ve nothing to fear. I’m safe from that old hag. I’m stronger now!!” Nevi sprang up in triumph, and looked out the window.
… Why is it foggy now?
“Strange weather we’re having, huh…” it commented. “Well, that fake tree’s probably gone, so I’m able to roam around now.”
"Where are you going?”
---
A voice.
A soft, shy voice.
The epic wubbox stopped dead in its tracks.
“Who said that?”
It looked around its room to find the owner of that voice.
“Oh, can you not see me…?” The voice asked politely.
“No… nononono no this can’t be happening. I blocked you out. How are you here? WHY are you here?!”
The room swirled with fog enveloping everything. A white void…
“U-um… oh! I think I know how to get you to see me!”
Something came out of the fog. A large white rabbit with a body that is one with a fog, a chest with blue arms sticking out and two light blue eyes.
“Hi, Ca- oh, your name is Nevi now, right? Hi Nevi!!”
It was Frigil.
---
“It’s been such a long time since we last talked; I’ve missed you so much!!” The colossal said with a smile. “I was so sad when you left me all alone. You know we’re best friends, right? There wasn’t any need for you to cut me off like you did.”
“We’re NOT best friends. You know that,” Nevi managed to say.
“Since when…?”
“Ever since that day, when you showed me that vivid memory of the cataclysm.”
“Oh come on, I’ve told you stories about it over and over, and you still remained sane. Why does seeing it in action make any difference?” Frigil’s head tilted, curiously.
“Because seeing monsters dying infront of you is, I don’t know, TRAUMATIC?!”
The epic wubbox was at its limits, way past its limits. Hearing a word from this spirit’s mouth tests it even more. The fact that they don’t realize how messed up they made it… it was unforgivable in Nevi’s eyes.
“And standing in my presence wasn’t? You know how I’m able to drive people to insanity by a few days of just standing next to me. If you were able to sustain that, then I have no idea how that was your breaking point. So stop saying that. It doesn’t make sense to me.”
Frigil wasn’t understanding, and Nevi wasn’t in the mood of entertaining them.
Never again would a colossal hurt it, or its family.
“Listen, bucko,” Nevi managed to spit out. “I’m not gonna spend any more milliseconds being insulted by you. Your friend already hurt dear Eva, and now you’re trying to hurt me. I won’t fall for this ‘cute, sad’ act shit you’re pulling. Buh-bye!”
As fast as it could, the epic wubbox formed a mental barrier, and their meeting ended.
Immediately, Nevi went to sit on its bed, catching its breath. What was that? Why did that happen? It was doing so well, but…
The light in its core that it forgot about was so bright and hot… it felt like it was melting from the inside.
Its surroundings felt fuzzy, and its vision started to blur.
---
Knock knock knock.
“Hey, Nevi, you okay? I heard yelling.”
Someone with a robotic voice was outside. The voice snapped Nevi out of its daydream (if you can call it that).
“Oh… oh, Rey. I’m fine.”
“I can’t hear you, can you let me in?”
Nevi got up and opened the door. Rey looked worried, and took some steps back.
“I said I’m fine. No need to worry about your prince.”
“You don’t sound all that fine. Oh…”
Rey seemed to be looking at something. “What is it, dear Rey? Is there something with me?”
“Oh, nothing, just… your eyes, they’re…”
Its eyes? “What’s with them…?”
“They’re blue now,” Rey finally got to saying.
That’s a strange thing to say. Nevi went to its dresser and looked in the mirror. Its eyes were indeed blue, with a hexagon for a pupil. Just like Frigil’s.
A moment of brief silence, then Rey tried to speak again.
“Um…”
“You can go now, Rey. I need some alone time.”
Nevi’s voice was hollow.
---
As Rey closed the door, Nevi stood in front of the mirror.
Silence overtakes the room, filling it with a slightly oppressive atmosphere.
Tears start to fall, becoming crystalized as they flutter to the ground. At first it was just a few, but then they poured out like a waterfall. Nevi, sniffling, crouched to the ground and hugged itself.
“All I wanted to do… was to be happy. All I wanted was cool powers. I just wanted that… I didn’t ask for this. Not at all…”
It continued to cry for a little bit longer.
Fog, then a hand on its shoulder, then a sweet voice.
“Nevi… you can talk about this to me, okay?”
The colossal.
“Why would I want to talk to you, Frigil? You ruined my life.”
“Why do you keep saying that?” It seems that Frigil still doesn’t understand the weight of their own actions. Maybe they never will. “I haven’t done anything bad, I don’t think."
“Is this the lesson that I’ll learn from you, just like Eden said? That no matter what I do, I can’t ever have true happiness? That I can’t catch a break?” Nevi was barely speaking coherently, choking on sobs and sniffling a lot.
“Huh? I can’t… understand you,” the colossal said, tilting their head.
“…go away. Get away from me. Now,” the epic wubbox finally brought itself to say.
“U-um… but why…?”
“You know why. You know damn well why. Go away… go away…”
Everything went to dark.
---
There is an epic wubbox laying on the floor of its room.
The epic wubbox used to call itself a prince, with an arrogant sneer. But its not smiling right now.
It has a blank expression, its eyes dull.
Something lifted the epic wubbox up to be sitting upright.
“Nevi…” someone said.
“…”
“Um… Nevi?”
“Carmen.”
“Huh?”
“Frigil, call me Carmen. Because that’s who you liked.”
“Um, alright, Carmen…”
The room was misty and hazy. In Carmen’s point of view, everything was enveloped in a shifting swirl of white, white and more white. The only figure visible was the form of the rabbit-like colossal.
Frigil raised its hands and touched the rabbit ears on Carmen’s head.
“I just noticed these… they’re just like mine! Hehe,” they said with a cute laugh. Carmen didn’t budge, its blue eyes staring into space.
“What should we do today…? Should we learn new magic techniques? Or would you rather go on a walk with me?” Frigil asked. The epic wubbox didn’t answer. “Oh, neither? Then what do you want to do instead?”
It seems this will be Carmen’s life now. Being talked at and treated like a doll. Never getting to say what it wants to say, to think what it wants to think. Because thinking is bad. Because thinking brings pain.
Friends don’t bring eachother pain.
So Carmen never says anything.
And the two could not have been happier.
