do think theres tips on how to name kh ocs I know that kh is a blend of disney and final fantasy but I would like to know if there were tips to learn how to name one.
I think it all kind of depends on what you're going for, where the OCs are from, etc. What language do the characters speak, what culture does the world have--those are all things you could ask yourself when thinking of good names your characters.
For KH, I honestly think you could go with the Disney angle, the Final Fantasy angle, or use Japanese names like Sora, Kairi, and Riku have (and for Japanese names, I would avoid literally translating English words unless you know they're also real names in Japanese--there are a lot of good websites that list actual Japanese names, and you can have a lot of fun choosing which kanji the names would be written with as well).
A lot of the characters in Dark Road have names from Norse Mythology, so that would also be a source of possible names. And then Nomura also really loves Latin (Terra, Aqua, Ventus, etc.) so that could be another source of names. Just kinda depends on the vibe and worldbuilding you want to go for.
Best of luck with naming your characters!

Could you please tell me the what tarot card do the the characters from kingdom hearts represent? Roxas Xion and Axel/lea
That’s a loaded question, given that anyone can technically have situations in their life represented by any Tarot Card. That said, if I were to assign them cards... Well, I’ve done that before, so copy paste time!
Fool: Destiny Island Trio on raft (Naively setting off to a journey.) Magician: Donald (Having energy to channel, but often being childish in controlling it.) Priestess: Naminé (Inner, passive power and wisdom.) Empress: Aqua (The ultimate feminine power) Emperor: Terra (The ultimate masculine power) Hierophant: Eraqus (stuck in traditionalism and old wisdom)[DiZ and Yen Sid would work as well] Lovers: Kairi with a Paopu Fruit (relationships and crossroads/choices of love) Chariot: Axel/Lea (ambition and determination) Strength: Goofy (gentle, patient power, courage and diligence) Hermit: Blindfolded Riku (solitude, inward looking) Wheel of Fortune: Ventus (fate controlled by power’s beyond one’s own control) Justice: Riku and Mickey (differentiated knowledge of right and wrong) Hanged Man: Roxas (being powerless and having to let go and accept) Death: Xion (The end of something and a new beginning.) Temperance: Ansem the Wise (self-moderation, a balanced life-style) The Devil: Young Xehanort (being trapped by a worldly, superficial desire.) The Tower: Maleficent (Fall of the ego, calamity, punishment for pride.) The Star: Child Sora (Naive hope, powerful faith.) The Moon: Vanitas (Imagination, dreams and insanity) The Sun: Teen Sora (Unwavering optimism in the face of hardship) Judgement: Master Xehanort (Looking back onto everything to realize your true purpose.) The World: Mickey (Exactly knowing your role in the world.)

I’m asking you because I’m just really curious what other hints are there and I’m not messing with you
oh, okay, sorry! I just talk constantly about how Dabi is Touya so you caught me a little off guard there.
In case you’re interested, I have a masterpost of all my meta on the subject that you can find here. It’s pretty long though, so in the meantime, let’s do a recap.
A not exhaustive list of hints of why Dabi is Touya (includes manga spoilers)
 1. Touya was said to have a greater firepower than Enji. Dabi’s flames are blue, thus burning hotter than Enji’s. Touya was also said to have a genetic makeup that made his body unsuited to handle fire (as it was better suited for ice). Dabi gives off a burnt-flesh smell every time he overuses his quirk because his body can’t handle the heat for long.
2. When Dabi was first introduced, he made it a point not to say his real name to the League. From a narrative perspective, it makes no sense for Hori to choose not to disclose his name if he were a character with no ties to the existing cast. By making him use a pseudonym, and by drawing our attention to the fact, Hori wanted us to know that maybe we do already know who he is.
3. Following this pattern, whenever Touya appeared in flashbacks, we never saw his face properly. Once, he was giving us his back. The other time, he had hair covering up his eyes. Again, no need for the mystery if he didn’t prove to be someone we already knew.
4. Dabi has blue eyes the same shade as Enji. He also almost certainly dyes his hair, and this might or might not be an attempt to hide his real identity.
5. Dabi was introduced in the story as a follower of Stain. Stain wanted to rid society of the “rotten heroes” who are in it for the glory and fame. Stain hated individualistic heroes who only ever thought about their own gain, and almost attacked Endeavor himself when they faced each other for the first time. Of course an ideology that legitimizes the hatred Touya felt for his abusive father would definitely appeal to him enough to become a villain.
6. During his first appearance, Dabi was shown following the news report on the facts of Hosu. Officially, Endeavor is the one who defeated Stain. This is a very neat way to establish a conflict. As far as we know, Dabi hadn’t committed any major crimes before this point. Then we saw him following Stain’s case closely, sympathize with Stain’s ideology, notice his father’s involvement, and then reaching out to those who were said to have had ties with Stain, the LoV.
7. Here’s an extensive meta on this, but despite following Stain’s ideology (at least on the surface), imho what really appealed to Dabi was the fact that Stain was the only person who addressed that there can be bad heroes, thus legitimizing his personal vendetta. He’s a revenge-driven character, not an ideology driven one, and that aligns perfectly with him being Touya Todoroki.
8. When Enji first properly faced Dabi, his vision was blurry and unfocused. From a narrative perspective, there’s no point in that unless Horikoshi didn’t want him to immediately recognize Dabi as his son and keep the reveal for much later on. If Enji is being set up to fail as the number one, and he needs to fail to realize that his current way of “making amends” isn’t enough, then Dabi’s reveal as Touya will play a major role in that. But first, he needed to establish Enji as someone successful, in order to make his fall more impactful later on, and that couldn’t have happened if the truth about the abuse came out before the public could applaud him (it still sucks tho)
9. Dabi being Touya perfectly fits the Golden Child vs Scapegoat theme that Enji’s Narcisistic Personality Disorder has going on. If you read on the subject, you’ll find a lot of similarities with the Todoroki family dynamics. Shouto, with the perfect balance between ice and fire that Enji had always wanted, is the golden child, while Touya, with his “faulty” and “worthless” quirk that damaged his body, is the perfect scapegoat. Here’s a brief summary of how this works (source):
Tumblr media
Shouto was constantly asked to give up his personal wishes in order to meet the expectations of his abuser (aka being his perfect heir and the recipient for all of Enji’s ambitions). Whenever Shouto failed to meet those expectations, he was always mocked and belittled (”are you done with your childish tantrum?”). He ended up losing contact with his authentic self (until he met Midoriya who reminded him that his flames are his own power and not just Enji’s shadow). Touya was the scapegoat given cruelty (being called worthless), criticism and shaming (”he was almost perfect. Almost.”). He ended up leaving the abusive family and became Dabi.
10. Dabi’s burns are on the same ares of skin from where both Shouto and Enji emit their own flames.
11. Here’s a meta on this, but Dabi has an established pattern where he always mocks heroes for prioritizing saving people over anything else. He shows this with every pro hero or hero trainee he meets, except for one, Enji. Enji who is an abusive piece of shit who never cared about anyone but himself.
12. When thinking about Snatches’ words (“didn’t you think of how their families would feel?”), Dabi was shown in a sympathetic manner, hinting that family is a sore subject for him too.
13. Dabi and Shouto have A LOT of things in common and here’s a good list of them. (I made one too but Rina’s actually a serious list unlike my own, lol)
14. Dabi’s panicked expression mirrors Rei’s (see here).
15. When they go all out, both Dabi and Shouto can summon massive amounts of fire/ice at the drop of a hat, and both are shown to have very little restraint and concern about their surrounding when they’re in a tight spot. Here’s a visual of what I’m talking about.
16. Dabi and Shouto also show really similar fighting style, suggesting they were trained by the same person or raised observing one:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
17. Rina already mentioned this if you read their post, but let me just emphasize it again: much like pre-development Shouto, Dabi shows signs of being uncooperative and highly individualistic, mirroring their father’s mindset. While Shouto later on learned to trust his classmates though, Dabi never did. (here’s another meta on this)
18. Whenever Dabi met a Todoroki, he always called them by their full name. He only ever does this with the Todorokis.
19. It’s possible (if not implied) that the reason why Dabi was willing to listen to Hawks despite Hawks being a very recognizable top hero and also very good at his job, was that Hawks insulted Enji’s approach on heroics on live television.
20. Dabi has beef with Endeavor specifically, because not only did he change the plans for the attack in Fukuoka only after he learned that Hawks had brought Enji along, but he also shows an incredible amount of emotion (something very unlike him) when he might just be able to finally kill him, something he very likely spent a lot of time fantasizing about. He was positively thrilled, and he was smiling so hard his staples almost tore his skin. That’s a pretty big hint that it was personal.
21. Dabi started really hating Apocrypha after he made a speech that really mirrored Enji’s own mindset.
I’m probably still missing some because as I said before, there’s loads of hints. Forgive me in advance if that’s the case

I found a card for izuku birthday but it might take a while though
You can send it over, but if it’s not part of the series, it will probably take some time to get to it. The good news, though, is that even if it were posted after translating all the series it’d still be before his birthday.

@hesoheso said: “My theory is that he sees the dirty side of the government learning the truth he would fall into villainy”
Hawks is well aware of the governments’ tactics already, likely more so than other heroes. He was picked from an early age to become a hero, taught the business earlier than most, and he expresses a deep understanding of the necessity of “popularity” even though he himself doesn’t much covet it. (Likewise: the need of a pillar like All Might was, even though he he himself was never a fan.) He was chosen to be their double agent because he shares their idea of focusing on the bigger picture, and even points out that they were phrasing it so he couldn’t morally refuse. He knows how it works already.
Furthermore, there’s a difference in general “villainy” and joining the League of Villains. If hypothetically Hawks were to strongly disagree with something the government had done, this doesn’t mean he’s fine with murder. I still think he would swallow his resentment down and focus on what’s important: saving civilians and minimizing pain. He’d make a value judgement whether he’d do this best as a hero, or as a “vigilante” - that’s the kind of villainy he could commit.
Going from there to thinking he’d join the League (I don’t mean to imply you do, but I have seen that idea expressed a lot ) seems very out of character. He does not condone murder, and his morals don’t align with the League.

@hesoheso
That wasn’t the point of the original post— I believe that what Endeavor has done should become public knowledge, but calmly. Not in a panic like this. He should step down, be arrested, news should carry through— like a normal proceeding. Not in a hyper-sensationalized piece designed to help people lose their faith in heroes and hero society as a whole.
That’s the main problem with what Dabi’s doing— it isn’t about Endeavor anymore. It’s about dragging down as many people as he can with him; “following Stain’s ideology” but very loosely. He’s doing it for revenge, and to cause mass panic.
(Bnha manga spoilers, abuse mention)
Best Jeanist is right.
I haven’t read the exact phrasing of the manga, since I don’t believe it’s released in English, but expressing distaste at making the Todoroki family’s domestic abuse a widespread hero issue? There is a point to be made, and I hope it is made.
Shoto, Natsuo, and Fuyumi are going to suffer. Badly. Especially Shoto, since he isn’t an adult yet. And who knows who’ll get custody of him if it gets really rocky.
The public is going to get involved and try to pardon Endeavor. The public is going to get involved and condemn him. It will be messy. This is an issue that should have been settled privately, Endeavor should have stepped down, and that way Shoto’s hero career wouldn’t immediately have been tainted with “your dad hit you” and “how have you grown past your fathers influence.”
It would still be a scandal if he stepped down suddenly. But this is a mess. Dabi is out for blood and revenge and it’s ugly. If you still think he’s entirely right, I don’t know what to say.

I know dabi is distant with the rest of the Lov but the way he interacts with them he’s always visible irritates with them and when ever someone’s comments are on point with dabi he would comeup with a clever comeback
When dabi has the upper hand he would taunt others when he’s conered like with geten he doesn’t have is taunting phase that’s when you know he’s conered Dabi who always comes with ways to taunt his opponent is cornered by geten
Hey! Sorry for the late reply! Life got a little busy.
Anyway, about that... The main difference about those two examples imho is the different relationship Dabi has to those people. With the lov, he does act snappish and is rude on purpose on certain occasions, but even when the other lov members make fun of him, it’s never quite done with the explicit purpose of undermining him as a person, or his worth as a leader. It’s never actually malicious. They’re not looking down on him, or assuming that they know everything about him based solely on what they can observe from his behaviour.
So we have Twice making fun of his tendency to burn down everything without really accomplishing anything useful for the rest of the lov, but then a few chapter later Twice includes Dabi in his group of friends and genuinely banters with him; or we have Toga telling him that he’s bad at recruiting or that he’s sore about being uneffective against Machia, but we know that it’s just meant as lighthearted teasing because she still follows his orders when he’s the one leading them.
All in all, we’re not meant to take their jabs (and Dabi’s biting responses) seriously, but just as lighthearted banter between friends. If I were to compare their dynamic to someone else’s to better explain this point, I’d say that Dabi and the lov interact with each other in much the same way Kaminari and Bakugou do. They won’t actually kill each other. They just like to roughhouse a little too much.
On the other hand, we have Apocrypha/Geten. Those taunts were meant to hurt and belittle Dabi.
It’s not just that, either. Apocrypha admitted to having spent a good portion of his life training. He boasts about his strength with the self-assurance of someone who believes in the survival of the fittest:
Tumblr media
If you have a weak quirk or a body unsuited to handle your own power, you’re worthless. That’s what Apocrypha believes, and has devoted himself to.
It’s basically spelled out in Dabi’s expression and his entire demeanor from then on, how intimately aquainted he is with that sort of bullshit, and how he despises that sort of rethoric. Dabi, with extensive burns over a good half of his body and his intolerance for high temperatures, is essentially a disabled character. Even without taking into account the todobroki theory, those words definitely hit a huge sore spot. They’re no lighthearted banter. They’re straight up discrimination.
But since it’s canon that he’s Touya by now, we can also talk about the other implications. Dabi reacts with barely concealed disgust at Apocrypha’s words because the latter’s mindset almost directly parallels Endeavor’s own. Endeavor is someone who also believes that a person’s worth is dictated by the strength of their quirk:
Tumblr media
Touya was “almost” perfect because he had an overwhelming firepower, stronger than Endeavor’s own. But Touya also had a handicap, his lack of tolerance to heat. So he was worthless, and was ultimately discarded for a younger, improved version that was in possession of a better balance between ice and fire, Shouto.
It’s not only the same mindset, but also the same extremely unempathetic view of people as objects. Either they’re ‘useful’ to your goal, or you can toss them away without a second thought. Again, something Dabi has huge issues about.
Then there’s the aforementioned fact that Apocrypha has been ‘honing’ his quirk for literal years.
Tumblr media
Sounds familiar yet?
Tumblr media
Jeez, I wonder why.
Apocrypha was brainwashed into thinking that he had no inherent worth until he proved himself stronger than the average person. So he trained tirelessly to reach the elite represented the group of executives that got to sit at Re-destro’s table.
Similarly, Enji believes that the only indicator of being the best hero is physical prowess, because he never cared about anything else, and never even tried to reach the top by playing nice because to him, that wasn’t the point at all:
Tumblr media
Again, as long as you’re not the strongest, then you’re worthless. That’s what both of them are saying.
It’s not so much that Dabi can’t come up with a clever reply to Apocrypha’s taunts, imho. It’s just that he just remembered how much he despises his father, and that made him incredibly homicidal
Tumblr media
look at that chilling fury. He’s out for blood and in his shoes, I’d be too

Do you think dabi has trust issues concerning the abuse he went through and how he acts cautionous towards the league at first and hawks
Yeah, he clearly does.
Not telling the league his real name during his introduction might’ve made sense at the time, given his ties with the hero world, but months later he still doesn’t trust them enough to tell them about his past. Not only that, but he also often avoids them on purpose. The sushi thing was just another example.
His trust issues are made especially obvious this arc: Dabi tries to stay away and pursue his own agenda alone; he gets dragged back; he reluctantly fights alongside them, but his refusal to trust them fully makes it hard for him to win the fight. Everyone else wins against their respective foils through the power of trauma and friendship, Dabi, the only one who refuses to open up to them and repeatedly wanders off on his own, has to be saved. Everyone else gets out of this arc with a power up and a restored sense of camaraderie and trust. Spinner finds a worthy leader to follow in Shigaraki, retrieving the fire of determination he had lost; Twice loudly declares that he thinks of his comrades as a family, and tries to overcome his trauma for them; Toga fightst relentlessly to prove that the life she lead by being herself - thanks to the league accepting her for who she is - was normal. Dabi is absent during the entire time they fought Gigantomachia, bonding for a month and a half, and he makes it a point not to stick around for the sushi after everything is said and done either. It’s definitely a pattern.
It’s not that he acts this way with the league alone, either. As you mentioned, he’s slow to trust Hawks as well. And once again, it makes a lot of sense since Hawks is a highly skilled hero who could eat the League for breakfast. But. Dabi also has incredibly high standards, as remarked by Toga and Twice. During the months he’s been out recruiting, he doesn’t bring back a single ally. Instead, he burns every potential recruit to the ground, with the single exception of Hawks (who still gets a lot of tests of loyalty).
yeah, I’d say it’s pretty obvious that Dabi has trust issues due to his trauma

How do you explain shigarakis character development?
I’m not the best person to go to for a detailed breakthrough of Shigaraki’s growth. I know there are people who already wrote at length about the subject (just check my “meta:shigaraki tag and you’ll find plenty) so I’m not trying to steal their jobs :’D
Basically, I “explain” Shigaraki’s development as him undergoing a villain’s journey. My hero academia deviates from the norm of shounen mangas a little, in that it sets up the hero and the main villain as foils, and from then on proceeds to explore the growth of both on screen. Villains in bnha are not faceless threats that at some point cross the hero’s journey and challenge him. They are the heroes of their own stories.
We are given Shigaraki’s pov and his backstory long before a proper showdown against Deku, and the reader is asked to sympathize with him. So then we have the rest of the story that basically consists of a series of quests. Bnha is a series that’s centered around the theme of mentorship, and of passing the mantle to the younger generation. This theme is explored through both All Might and Afo equally. It’s not a coincidence that the chapter titled “From master to disciple” draws a parallel between both pupils:
Tumblr media
“You are next” is the sentence that All Might direct at Izuku after beating Afo, signaling him that Deku was next in line after the last embers of one for all were squeezed out of him.
It’s not a coincidence that Afo echoes it, either, after he gets arrested and entrusts everything to Shigaraki as his heir.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that the story is thematically split in two is made obvious by the narration itself. The story starts out as Deku’s account of how he became a hero:
Tumblr media
but then, midway through,
Tumblr media
we see Shigaraki destroying that title and establishing his own pov instead:
Tumblr media
so “my hero academia” becomes “my villain academia”
That’s because both their points of view are important for the story as a whole, and we’re meant to see them grow at the same time.
So then while Izuku learns to make the power he received from All Might his own, Shigaraki is facing the same struggle on the sidelines. We see him struggle to make Afo’s empire his own:
Tumblr media
While Izuku learns to make friends, becomes stronger thanks to their support, and fights to protect them from external threats,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see Shigaraki start to learn to value his allies as comrades and struggle to gain their loyalty and fight for them as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
that’s basically it. They’re growing at the same time, and we’re meant to draw parallels between them

I have a question do you there’s significance when dabi says he hates fish
‘significance’ as in, relevance for the plot? not really, but it’s fun to write headcanons about it
headcanons don’t have to align with canon anyway. I’ve had someone reply “It’s not that deep” to a post of mine about it and tbh? that’s rude as fuck
let people have fun. even if they want to read entire novels in between the lines of something simple and straightforward

What do you think dabis room might look like I heard that a room says a lot about a person what do you think
What it looks like right now? well, I expect him to have very little personal belongings. He showed up at the lov hideout dressed in rags so I think he was probably just scraping by until that moment. Plus he probably moved around a lot, considering his background, so it’s likely that all of his stuff fits into a single duffel bag. I don’t expect him to own any electronics, save maybe a phone and... possibly a laptop? He might’ve stolen one or bought it for cheap with his first villain paycheck, idk. He must’ve watched that Stain video somewhere, right?
People have varied opinions on whether he keeps his room messy or if he’s a tidy person. I think that having lived with the flaming garbage man for all his childhood, he was probably asked to keep everything as neat and polished as possible. So I think he might lean a little more towards the messy side, now that he’s an adult. Not too messy, though. I don’t think he’s a neet. Quite the opposite, actually. He probably spends very little time inside. There’s definitely no trash in his room, since infections are a real thing that he has to look out for constantly

What do you think those words dabi said to shoto mean does dabi pity shoto or ridicule him?
I literally have no idea how Dabi feels about his baby brother to be honest. The other way around is easier for me to speculate about, but Dabi is an enigma wrapped in a mystery.
Does he still care about him? Does he resent him? I hope canon will explain it at some point…
For the time being, I’m assuming that he was taunting Shouto the same way he always taunts heroes who rush in to save people first:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because that seems to be an established character hang-up of his.
