By the end of the night, most everyone was shit faced. The music got louder, antics a bit wilder. At some point they moved from the booth to a table, liquid courage telling them that arm wrestling their strongest member was a good idea.

Of course, Ekko became some unofficial referee and bets were placed. Maybe Scar would be too drunk to win this time or that they had gotten stronger since the last time they had tried. None of the contenders won, possessions were lost. It was chaotic, in a fun way.

You had to stand back, almost chewing your nails completely off as you watched, a slam on the table making you jump. Someone was gonna end up hurt, you knew it.

"Good thing you're here then." Uma nudged you in the side when you muttered something about it.

Groaning, you bit your knuckle as you watched Jess's arm bend unnaturally. "Oh shit." You waited for the crack of bone, wincing and holding your breath. Instead, the only sound you heard was Jess's hand being slammed down into the table. A sigh of relief from you was heard by just about everyone.

Ekko laughed and capped Scar on the back. "Better quit before y/n passes out." He motioned towards you, his cheeks red from the alcohol. Then he grabbed his glass and held it up, the others falling silent and mirroring him. "To those we lost."

Glasses clunked together as they shouted back. You looked away, feeling that sad heavy pit in your stomach. Eve wouldn't be bringing you more flowers she stole from topside or visit you just to chat, always messing with your hair. The world seemed emptier.

As time went on it became clear that it was time to go. The hover boards were grounded, much to the despair of some of the Firelights, but drinking and hovering never ended well. A few just dropped on the floor and some found a decent spot in the other booths, but you wanted to go to bed. Not to mention, if you weren't there in the morning the children (and some of your comrades) would create chaos.

Staying in the shadows, you made the long trek back down into the cistern towards the sanctuary. Your feet dragged, mouth opening wide in a yawn. You could barely even remember getting into the sanctuary and laying down on your bed, only able to get your boots off before you did.

The next thing you remember is the smell of coffee. Someone stole it last night, had to of. Coffee wasn't common here, so that meant someone also went topside. You hummed and stretched until you felt like your soul would leave your body, a few pleasant pops from your back made you moan in relief. The relief didn't last long, as the painful kiss of a headache began to pulse behind your eyes and temples.

The light coming in through your window made you hiss and if it wasn't for the tempting smell of coffee, you wouldn't have crawled from your bed and pulled your boots on, whining to yourself the entire time.

The smell took you to the bottom of the tree, where Ekko was standing, bags under his eyes. Before you could ask, he pointed at your clinic, and you groaned. Who was messing with your hot plate?

You were about to yell but instead you laughed as at least 5 Firelights were strung about your clinic, looking half dead. Uma was the one on the counter and she whispered a praise at the sight of you before scooting a cup of coffee your way. "Head...explode. Help." She muttered.

You took the coffee and sighed, looking at the mess she created on your work counter. "You know, I sew people up on there and now I will be disinfecting it all day."

"Less-" She held her hand up and imitated talking. "More making the ouchies go away."

A few groans of agreement echoed that sentiment behind you. "Fine. Only because someone got the coffee." You shooed her from your counter.

With what little headache medicine you had left, the remaining coffee, and the shades pulled to keep the light out, some relief was brought to their ailing heads.

After kicking them out, ignoring their complaints, you tried to disinfect your work area. Last thing anyone needed was an infection and/or cross contamination.

When you were done, you sat at the small table and let out a long sigh. You had to make a list of the medicine you needed, pondering how you would even pay for it. Looking around for a piece of paper to write on, you stopped when you noticed a familiar book sitting on the small desk in the corner.

How the hell had it gotten there? Did you drop it last night? Wait, did you even bring it home? Last thing you remember about it was the way Scar gave you that look while telling you that maybe that book wasn't for story time.

No shit, you thought to yourself as you picked it up, turning it over in your hands. There was a page that was dog eared and you looked around to make sure you were alone, face turning bright red.

Taking it back to the table, you opened it to the page that was marked and immediately your spin went ridged, breath hitching in surprise.

It was a drawing. A very, very lewd drawing of what you assumed was the author's lover, sprawled on the bed naked, legs wide open, her fingers in her most delicate area. Beside the drawing was a small paragraph describing what this woman's orgasms were like.

Who marked this page? And who left it on your desk? Ava or Uma, but they hadn't read it and Scar didn't seem too interested when he read it. In fact, he had no reaction.

You squeezed your thighs together and the heat pooled in your belly as you read, your heart pounding in your ears, unable to look away-

"Hey."

The book almost flew from your hands and with fumbling fingers you slammed the book shut and looked up, obviously startled. Of course, it was Scar and for a second time he had caught you reading smutty material. There was no looking him in the eye anymore, your dignity in the gutter. "Yes?" It was almost a squeak, but you cleared your throat.

His eyes skimmed over your face before looking at the book and then back up at your face, a brow raising. "Need medicine."

"Uh, yeah. Hung over?" An affirmative grunt answered you as you went to your cabinet. "Running low, not going to be able to give you a lot."

You didn't look up when you heard sounds of boots walking across the floor, of the chair scraping as it was moved.

Grabbing the capsule, you turned around and your soul almost left you as he nonchalantly had the book flipped open, yet again. He was teasing you, had to be. Your embarrassment was amusing. Maybe if you pretended it didn't bother you, then he would lose interest. That always worked with your siblings.

"Here." You held out the medicine to him, trying to act as calm and collected as you could.

He just looked up at you, eyes narrowing as he looked over your face. It was an intense stare that felt like it was baring open your soul and something in your chest fluttered. What was happening? Guilt also filled you, as Eve was just laid to rest and Jaz- no, even if he was teasing you just for fun, it felt like betrayal to feel that flutter.

"Can I have my book back, please?" You held your other hand out, reminding yourself to keep breathing slow and deep so you would not panic.

His eyes followed the length of your arm and looked at your hand, a small smirk forming on his lips. "Yours?"

Don't kick him, do not kick him, you suck at fighting, you reminded yourself. "Yes, I would like it back now." You set the medicine down on the table for him

He hummed, closing the book before standing, coming up less that a foot from you, looking down at you as he held it out. "Here."

Gingerly you took it, not missing how he almost didn't let you grab it the first time. Clearing your throat, you held the book behind your back. "Thank you." You looked up, feeling his eyes still drilling into you. You had never seen that look, on anyone before and seeing it on him was...something else.

With another hum of thought, he walked around you and towards the door, leaving quietly. When he did you realized you had been holding your breath and you leaned on the table, taking deeper breaths.

What was that?

When you went to set the book down you stopped and frowned, looking at the door and then back at the table in confusion.

He didn't take the medicine.

i can tell you what i think of ekko’s strength, and i can tell you that... it isn’t much. he’s not the most adept fighter in the series, and most of the time, he wins fights by cheesing them with time travel. in my thread with @uncaged-bloodhunter​ ekko would be DEAD four times over by now if not for the zero drive.

however, i haven’t seen much fandom opinion about his strength? i’m going to go out on a limb and say most people probably don’t find him very strong bc? i don’t see a lot of people saying that but. who knows.

canon-wise, fandom-wise, and on this blog, ekko gets a lot of attention, which i’m not complaining about. he’s a fav.

no, but in seriousness, around zaun, his reputation is quite good as one of the few decent souls in the city. but in piltover, he’s just another thuggish troublemaker on a spree of petty crimes, as if zaun doesn’t already have enough of those...

he is a nice sweet boy who WILL adopt every single child and will go out of his way to help those in need. he also has plenty of spunk and a real get-up-and-go kind of personality, he’s not the kind of person who likes just “hanging around” so he’s a perfect companion for someone who likes to get out and adventure as long as you don’t go outside of piltover/zaun. he’s very loyal and will stick up for his friends, even when it would be more convenient to sell them out. and of course, he’s willing to call authority figures out on their bullshit and doesn’t sit back and passively watch injustices happen.

furthermore, he represses every negative emotion he has ever felt because he feels like his problems are trivial compared to other people’s so he bottles that shit right on up like cheap cough-syrup-tastin’ whiskey. he holds onto a LOT of resentment - at piltover, at the chembarons, at himself, at the world - and because he doesn’t allow himself to DO anything with said resentment, he’s a ticking time bomb (pun fully intended). i do have... timelines... where all that internalized hostility blows up in a really messy way. and by messy, i mean bloody.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE ? 

around the time i first started getting into league, a bitch was going through it. we were pretty destitute and received an eviction notice, and i had to work my ass off to keep us from losing our apartment. it was a very depressing time for everyone involved. but then i found ekko, this boy who had even less than i did but made the most of it, who always found some way to make the day better. writing him became very cathartic for me because it allowed me to take something positive away from what was one of the worst years of my life.

WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING ? 

punk rock music, haha! especially that of billy talent. their whole dead silence album is pretty ekko, but they have a lot of bangers that remind me of him scattered across all their albums. we deserved punk rock ekko and instead we got fucking true damage because riot didn’t wanna get political, i guess. smh.

yeah, sure, although i understand why people don’t send them because i often draw blanks on what to send without somebody reblogging a headcanon meme or something. if you just reblog “send my character questions on anon!” i’m probably not gonna do it bc i have no idea what kinds of questions would even be relevant or helpful for you.

nah, everyone can do what they want. i usually won’t follow people if i don’t agree with their headcanons, but i’m not about to get all up in somebody’s business about it.

yeah i think so. i try to be, anyway. i like to make ooc friendships bc i find it way more satisfying and easy to write with friends. although i sound a little bitchy in parts of this, it’s mostly jokes for exaggeration effects.
