carmy has never been a fighter, hence the cooking, and hence the support student path that he was taking. that did not change the fact, though, that he still had to be able to handle himself in a fight. requirements, and whatever. he was getting help, sure, but that didn't make it suck any less.

"how'd you get good at this?" even just throwing a punch seems so much more natural for her. "i think i was born with the inability to fight." or at least, that's how it feels.
