seemingly everywhere shouto has gone today has been swarmed with people talking behind their hands about the events of the previous night, calling bakugou a liar and scorning him. he's already come to the other boy's defense a couple times --- but it's truly irritating to be trying to train and having to stop every half hour to remind people about the essence of the boy they’re claiming is lying. after the fourth time of overhearing other students talking about his --- well, friend isn't quite the right word for what they are, but classmate isn't quite familiar enough anymore --- about bakugou and getting too annoyed to not say something, he finally gives up on training for the day.

on finding out that bakugou had been released from recovery girl already, he decides to go visit him. he stops by the cafeteria to grab something for both of them to eat ( he's betting that bakugou probably hadn't wanted to eat amongst the others, and he's sort of hungry himself ) and then heads to their dorms. he nods politely at the members of their class in the common room before taking the elevator to the fourth floor. shouto knocks on the proper door ( two quick, hard raps that make it clear he isn't leaving ) and calls out,    " it's todoroki. open up --- i have food. DAMN IT.

sneaks in his dorm. curls up under the covers. buries his head under kirishima's chin and nuzzles against him. sleepy.

              calling out bakugou when he was acting so cute was a crapshoot when he was so tired. either the other would grumble and go to sleep or he would wake up and blast him in the face. so he just kept quiet, wrapping his arms back around the other and resting his chin on his head. the warmth was welcomed, as was the comfort that came from the contact. “ night, blasty… ” he made sure the words were whispered soft enough that bakugou hopefully would not have heard it.
