sooo, I read A LOT of whumpy LU fics, and I finally had the motivation to draw up my favorite part from one of my fave fics where poor Legend gets drugged and Warriors is the first to get to him.

(Also i sowwy i didnt get every detail exactly how it was in the fic, dis was the best i could do)

I would love to do more of these. But fudge knuckles my motivation is dogshit. that's also why this is super messy T3T

Lu wars asking the others “what is love?”

Warriors to time: what is love?

Time: mal-.. the feelings two or more people could share with one another?

Warriors quietly whispering while writing that down: that’s very basic old man.

Time: what was that?

Warriors: nothing-

Warriors to twilight: what is love?

Twi: the reason for my crippling depression-

Wars starts writing it down then realizes: what?

Twi avoids eye contact: what?

Warriors to sky: what is love?

Sky: my only reason for living.

Warriors: what.

Sky: I mean Zelda- I mean when two like each other a lot!-

Warriors *trying not to wheeze while writing that down*

Warriors to four: what is love?

Four *starts trying not to smile*: whenever people become close to each other and care about each other.

Warriors *suspiciously eyeing him*: okay.

Warriors to wind: what is love?

Wind *immediately smirks and inhales*: BA-

Wild *shoving wind out of the way*: BABY DONT HURT ME!

Hyrule *across camp looking over at wild*: DON’T HURT ME!!

Legend *walking behind wars picking up random sticks quietly saying*: no more.

Warriors *face full of confusion*: seriously wtf is wrong with you guys??

Wind *snickering while laying face first on the ground*

Time stared down at the blue fabric bunched up in his hands. It had always been a source of great comfort in the past, but without Warriors’ grounding presence, it only felt like a cruel mockery of what it had once been.

He fisted the scarf and squeezed his eye closed against a fresh wave of tears. He’d already cried so much already, how could he still have tears left? He needed to be strong for the others, he needed—

He needed his big brother.

He held the scarf closer. It still smelled like Warriors. How long until that faded away? How long until his memories faded too, until all that was left was a hazy smile and the vague impression of kind blue eyes?

Lifeless, blue eyes staring up at the sky.

A sob escaped his throat. He curled tightly into himself, clutching the scarf like his life depended on it.

How could this happened?

He didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye….

He’d never thanked Warriors for everything he’d done for him, never truly showed him how grateful he was, didn’t say I love you back when he’d—

How could he ever forgive himself for how completely and utterly he’d failed his brother?

Hyrule Warriors Link seems to be on the flashier side, and since he's on the front lines of a war I took some inspiration from Landsknecht armor and clothes. I also gave him the darkmagic sword because the rest of his weapons are directly from other Zelda games, at least this one is a recolor of the magic sword.

This would be decades after the War of Eras, when the aftereffects of that war really start to get bad. Anyways, that blood isn't his, don't worry!

This was more a self gratification draw. It's niche, but I didn't want to stop drawing more baby!FaeRule. Someone commented how they wanted to give the sprite new clothes, and I thought... who's the best to dress up little fairies? Wars! Plus, you can totally get Loz1's original outfit as a fairy costume in the game! (At least in Definitive Edition). It was perfect.... except I completely forgot what I wanted to do on the bottom half, and it just stayed buried in my files. But never forgotten in my heart.

I am a bit overwhelmed with work lately so there won’t be new drawings in a while… but I do have some old process videos and old WIPs to share.

I did draw an upper lip for him and I realized how quickly he starts to look like Sky

HYLIA how many times have I drawn Warriors?! make it 5 times MWAHAHA! he felt like a good fit for this situation. As a Captain, he is well-equipped to handle this. Sky definitely needed that hug T3T
