Julius Nex - 54 pieces
"Nex follows Toxic Reapa through the sewers of Makuhero city with a techno blaster he modified himself."
I was traveling so couldn't get to my computer, the next few might also take some time to be posted since I'm pretty busy at the moment.

Forgotten mocs #1: my oc Hero Factory team.
This is a small collection of digital mocs that I made somewhere around 2019-21 just because I wanted to make a Hero Factory team, mainly taking inspiration from the Breakout wave.
I don't really have any lore for them that I remember but they do have names.
Jennifer Engel, leader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rhiannon Scouter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Olivia Castelle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sedge Biggman, XL. (Eagle eyed followers might spot the fact that this guy served as the basis of an old Stormer revamp I made ages ago.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ken Rowl.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seung Carrier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As I said I never really had any lore about these guys, but I did have an idea that I wanted their story to be that they all eventually turned into villains. I only ever made mocs of villain versions of Engel and an unfinished Carrier though. That's probably why I never shared these.

Classic Humor and Nostalgia: LEGO Star Wars' Extras and Puns
From the get-go, it’s super clear that TT Games really went all out to make this the ultimate way to dive into these games, and if you’re planning to buy Xbox games, this title should definitely be at the top of your list.Right off the bat, you’ll notice there’s no fixed camera anymore—you can now move it around freely to check out your surroundings. This makes the game feel way less cramped and way more immersive, unlike the previous games where the camera was a bit of a buzzkill. Even though a lot of the gameplay will be nostalgic for OG fans, there’s more to explore now, like the Gungan, Yavin 4, and Kamino. Plus, they’ve added brand-new areas to check out, like the revamped Droid Factory level from the prequels, where you’ll get to vibe through some fresh platforming challenges to save Padmé from a major fail. So, voice acting has been a thing in LEGO games for a minute, but honestly, I didn’t really miss it in the older ones (they’re plastic Legos, after all). The non-verbal jokes still cracked me up, but having voices this time around was a cool upgrade that made it easier to follow the story. Plus, the voice acting is both hilarious and genuine – the writing keeps the humor on point without messing up the story. If you’re feeling nostalgic, you can hit up the ‘Extras’ menu to switch the voices back to those classic mumbles. The game keeps the franchise’s signature humor on lock, packed with puns like ‘Better Call Maul,’ hilarious cutscenes, and the droid ‘H1-NT,’ who’s a total riot with his dry, cynical one-liners and gameplay tips.

C-3PO’s Hacking and Stealth Perks for a Sneaky Playthrough
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga lets you unlock and play as over 300 characters, from the fearsome Rancor to variations of Palpatine like ‘Chancellor,’ ‘Scarred – Red,’ and ‘Senator.’ If you’re looking to buy PS5 games, this title offers an expansive and engaging experience with its diverse roster. You’ve got 9 classes to choose from: Dark Side, Protocol Droid, Scavenger, Scoundrel, Bounty Hunter, Jedi, Hero, Villain, and Astromech, each with their own unique abilities and upgrades. Jedi and Dark Side peeps like Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Maul can mix up their lightsaber moves with the Force to toss objects at foes (or just flex while collecting studs). If you’re in the mood for some destruction, you can even use your saber to slice through special LEGO walls like they’re paper to uncover new areas. Droids like R2-D2 and C-3PO come with hacking skills that can open doors or trigger events to shake up the gameplay. I once hacked a terminal with C-3PO to set off an alarm (there was also an option to trigger a turret, if you’re into that), which made Stormtroopers bolt. Plus, droids get the stealthy perk of being ignored by enemies unless you start something, so they’re perfect for a sneaky playthrough.
Guided Exploration in a Vast Open Sandbox
As you dive into the game, golden trails and markers will show you exactly where to go to keep the story rolling – but you’re never locked into following them until you’re ready. This flexibility makes it a great choice if you’re looking to buy PS5 games that offer both guidance and freedom. Some parts of the world might be off-limits until you come back with the right class ability, but for the most part, it feels like you’re living out the Star Wars saga in a huge, open sandbox. When you’re cruising through space, which is just as open as the hub worlds, you’ll run into random battles where you’ll need to fight off enemies. Both combat and space exploration are pretty smooth and easy to pick up, even though these moments aren’t my personal fave. Usually, I’m not into sequences like these and just want to speed through them. Space exploration still isn’t my jam, but I won’t be checking the clock every five seconds waiting for it to end either.
A Visual Feast and Game-Changer for LEGO Titles
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a total visual feast, offering a massive sandbox world that mixes humor with the saga's epic lore, plus a mind-blowing amount of content to dive into. It might not change the game completely, but everything from platforming and collectibles to classes and the open-world vibe is done flawlessly. This game is a game-changer for LEGO video games, and I'm seriously hyped to see what the devs drop next.

Powering Progress: The Essential Role of Industrial Transformers in Modern Manufacturing and Infrastructure
In the bustling world of manufacturing and infrastructure, there's a quiet hero working behind the scenes: the industrial transformer.
What Makes Transformers Tick?
Transformers are like the unsung wizards of electricity. They work by playing with magnetic fields and wires to change the voltage of electrical currents. Picture this: you've got your primary winding and your secondary winding, wrapped around a magnetic core. When electricity flows through one winding, it creates a magnetic field that induces a current in the other winding. Voila! Energy transfer complete.
Inside the Transformer Box
Core: Think of it as the transformer's heart, made of laminated steel to keep energy losses at bay.
Windings: These are like the transformer's nerves, carrying electricity through coils of wire.
Insulation: It's like the transformer's armor, keeping everything safe and snug.
Cooling System: Just like we need a cool breeze on a hot day, transformers need a cooling system to stay chill and perform their best.
Where Do Transformers Work Their Magic?
Various industrial transformers are everywhere, silently powering up our world in ways we might not even notice.
In the Factory
Keeping the Lights On: Transformers ensure the lights stay on and the machines keep humming in manufacturing plants.
Keeping Things in Control: They help control circuits, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Protecting the Gadgets: Transformers act as guardians, shielding sensitive equipment from electrical hiccups.
In Our Neighborhoods
Powering Up the Grid: Ever wonder how electricity travels to your home? Transformers play a vital role, stepping up voltage for long-distance travel and stepping it down for everyday use.
Welcoming Renewable Energy: As we embrace solar panels and wind turbines, transformers help integrate these clean energy sources into our power grids.
What's Next for Transformers?
The world of transformers is buzzing with innovation, paving the way for a brighter, more efficient future.
Smart Transformers
Getting Smarter: Imagine transformers that can talk! Smart transformers use sensors and fancy tech to monitor their health in real-time.
Preventing Meltdowns: By analyzing data, these transformers can predict when they might need a little TLC, saving us from unexpected power outages.
Going Green
Eco-Friendly Upgrades: Transformers are getting a green makeover with more efficient designs and earth-friendly materials.
Saving the Planet: These eco-friendly upgrades help reduce energy waste and minimize our carbon footprint.
Embracing Digital Twins
Seeing Double: Digital twin technology creates virtual replicas of transformers, letting engineers play around with designs and predict performance.
Planning for the Future: By understanding how transformers age and behave, we can make smarter decisions and keep our energy systems running smoothly.
Challenges on the Horizon
Despite their superpowers, transformers face a few hurdles on the road to progress.
Aging Infrastructure
Time for an Upgrade: Many transformers are getting up there in years and need a little sprucing up to keep pace with modern demands.
Revamping the Old: We're investing in updating our energy systems to ensure they're up to snuff for the challenges ahead.
Cybersecurity Concerns
Guarding Against Attacks: As transformers get smarter and more connected, we need to beef up their cybersecurity to keep the bad guys at bay.
Navigating the Energy Transition
Going Green: As we shift towards cleaner energy sources, transformers need to adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
Keeping the Lights On: It's a balancing act, making sure our energy systems can handle the ups and downs of renewable power.
Transformers, the Unsung Heroes
Transformers might not have capes or catchy theme songs, but they're the backbone of our modern world. From factories to neighborhoods, they quietly power up progress, making our lives easier and greener.
FAQ: Uncovering the Mysteries of Transformers
Q: Are transformers only used in big factories and power grids? A: While transformers do play a crucial role in industrial settings and power grids, they can also be found in smaller-scale applications like household appliances and electronic devices.
Q: Do transformers consume electricity even when they're not actively transferring energy? A: Transformers do experience some energy losses due to factors like resistance in the windings and core, but modern designs strive to minimize these losses through efficient construction and materials.
Q: Can transformers be dangerous to work with? A: Like any electrical equipment, transformers can pose risks if mishandled or improperly maintained. It's essential to follow safety protocols and procedures when working with transformers to ensure the well-being of personnel and equipment.
Q: How long do transformers typically last? A: The lifespan of a transformer can vary depending on factors such as usage, operating conditions, and maintenance practices. With proper care and maintenance, transformers can often last several decades.
Q: Are there any environmental concerns associated with transformers? A: While transformers themselves are generally safe for the environment, some older models may contain hazardous materials such as PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) in their insulation. Proper disposal and recycling practices are essential to mitigate any potential environmental impact.

Remember When I Said I Was Going to Post The Rest of Those Mercenaries?
Yea, I wasn't with the writing and design of some of the members of said mercenary group. So, I'll be doing some revisions. In the mean time, I've been working on more hero factory revamps while I decide what to do and how to get everything set in stone. It sucks because I really wanna share their lore and bounce ideas off of one another.

I think the big thing for me is texturing. There are some very cool bionicle MOCs I've seen that feel nothing like Bionicle because it smooths out the textures too much. G1 of course wasn't devoid of smooth bits by any stretch of the imagination, but there was (usually) an artful employment of it to imply shells or armor. And of course that aesthetic did evolve and shift across the line. Putting an 01 figure, an 05 figure, and and 09 figure side by side, while there is a definite shared overall design language, there's also a lot of very obvious differences as well. Also, 08's canister sets in particular always struck me as weirdly barebones and cheap-feeling compared to most of the others, probably why it's what I've ended up fixating on for improvement.
Ironically, by contrast, G2 had its own design language thanks to the use of CCBS, that is a lot smoother overall thanks to the shells, but still has a more involved technic presence than the Hero Factory predecessors. I feel it makes for a nice, artful balance on the whole, (though I still have mixed feelings on the Uniter torso piece, which felt simultaneously too much like the Star Wars CCBS sets and too random and careless with all the pistons) so my pet peeve with specifically G2 MOCs are ones that basically throw that out entirely to load them back up with excessive greebling and G1 pieces.
I digress. Point is, with G1 revamps, I don't mind like, proportion changes or filling in bigger gaps, (though I definitely agree plugging the technic holes for its own sake is too much) as long as the overall aesthetic spirit and form factor of the set is kept intact. If you change too little, then I kinda have to wonder what the point even was; it's not really a revamp at that point, just a set mod. But at the same time, changing too much or trying to smooth out the aesthetic, winds up feeling like something completely different, and again, at that point I have to wonder what the point even was.
(On that note, also not a fan of the recent trend of like, "revamps" that are basically unrecognizable, like a Pahrak-Kal one that was literally just a brown system mech with a bunch of railguns.)
i'm so fucking bored. can you guys tell me your bionicle hot takes.

BRAIN ATTACK Stormer Revamp
Stormer had one of the strongest visual designs of the BRAIN ATTACK Heroes and I’ve seen a few people say he’s one of the few Heroes to look like a Toa. He’s also the only Hero in this line to have feet matching his primary color and was clearly given some extra love in the design phase to distinguish him from the clone builds. Like Surge he features a back-mounted mechanism that can fire small missiles as well as a sword/shield combo.

Set 7162: Rotor CCBS Revamp - 167
Failing to escape with the rest of Von Nebula's gang Rotor spends several more months in villain storage, until he is broken by a mysterious villain who takes him to the villain factory to be upgraded.
As previously mentioned I'm pretty proud of this build, the rotor blades might be a little too thin but I'd rather it not be too top heavy and his legs are a slightly adjusted version of Maxilos' legs. This is the last of the 2010 villains I'm remaking because Vapour is nothing, I think he's pretty cool but there's jut no information on him in the show, he appears for 2 second on a computer screen.
