without immediately picturing hermes playing 'ancient greek uno' with aeolus

and hermes in tears at having to keep drawing cards from either not having the right one or aeolus hitting him with draw 2's & draw 4's constantly

Hadestown did a performance on Kelly and Ryan (I still call it Regis and Kelly in my head) which you can watch here and like,  three things I LOVE about it are: 

The way Hades comes in from behind the hosts from the shadows with his little “I missed ya” and lays his drink on the table 

Persephone’s reaction is like ugh noooooooooooooooooo no noooooooo and she goes all limp and starts sassing everyone and I think tries to kick Hermes

The way Orpheus comes up and puts his arms around Eurydice when Hades starts looking at her with interest like “hi excuse me no, this is my girlfriend, back off” and I remember that so clearly from the show, it being the first time you see him look angry at someone, like he’s Not Afraid of Hades in that moment, and he would have every right to be. This is also after Chant, and it’s clear that Orpheus is VERY fond of Persephone, so I think he’s probably laying the blame squarely on Hades here for the tumult with the seasons just from The Look in his eyes
