Another oc I don’t think I’ve posted before. Sirene is half imperial half Maormer (didn’t know her father was Maormer until she made a deal with hermaus mora to gain this knowledge). She spends most of her time on Solstheim fetching heart stones and canis root for neloth in return for access to his black book. He noticed her on the brink of madness, but decided to watch it play out rather than intervene, which led to this scene. Eventually I’ll write about it, idk. I absolutely love drawing this tentacled bastard.

Chapter 4: To the Ends of Tamriel
Hermaus Mora marked a space between the Atreum and Eyevea, and then placed a second mark on a house in Cyrodill. They choose to visit Cyrodill first, as they couldn’t quite figure out where the first one was. The Vestige had yet to discover The Scholarium, and guessed that perhaps they were returning to Nocturnal’s realm, the Evergloam.
When the Vestige, Beregon, Torvesard, Leramil, and Gadyn arrived through a portal in Cyrodill, they found a house without a roof, or no functional roof, as in the parts that kept the rain out were missing.
Inside there is a man who has clearly been reading Fragmentae Abyssum Hermaeus Morus and shouldn’t have. Whatever Known Thing he discovered has clearly scrambled his brain. He might need a portal to Sheograth’s realm. And, indeed, there was a portal in the house, but it lead to Vvardenfell.
The portal lead to a daedric ruin named Ashalmimilkala on the coast West of Balmora. In the ruins, the found a trap door that led deep into the heart of ruins, where they found another portal, that was guarded by a tharriker.
After defeating the tharriker, they entered the portal, which led to Nonungalo in West Weald. A Necromancer ghost greeted them just outside the portal, much friendlier than most, but he might have just been trying to fulfil his last mortal objective, to pass the torch, literally and figuratively, to another. The torch he gave the Vestige glowed blue and grew bright as they neared there location, and faded darker as they strayed away from it.
The torch guided them to a door behind the bookcase. The door led to a massive cavern lined with bookcases, reaching so high up that you would need a grappling hool to rach the top shelf.
In the center of the room, there was a green glowing book atop a podium glowing many colors.
Gadyn ran to it. He was slapped aside by a giant nautilus.
Leramil rushed to his side.
“I’m fine,” Gadyn lied, trying to stand.
“Hush,” Leramil gently chided him, “You lost your footing and your breath, and almost lost your life. I’m sure you have broken ribs. Now, rest.” She wrapped his broken ribs, and tended to his other injuries.
The Vestige brought out their trusty Inferno staff. Beregon and Torvesard flanked the Vestige. Half a dozen Dreugh from behind the giant Nautilus. They looked to be the unholy offspring of Blue Crayfish and Praying Mantis on steroids. Don’t do drugs. You don’t know who you’ll wake up next to.
An epic battle ensued. The Vestige took on the giant nautilus, while Torvesard took on all 6 of the Dreugh. Beregon helped where he could, placing trapping vines and getting in the occasional hit. Leramil cast healing spells with one arm from the sidelines, as she still tenderly cradled Gadyn.
In time, they bested the beasts and sent them scurrying back into the holes they had come from.
With the way clear, they approached the vestibule. The vestige reached out to turn a page in the book, but what thrown backward.
Torvesard eyed the book critically, and then reported, “It appears to be protected by a daedric ward. I’ll take it down.”
Just then more Dreugh scurried out. Torvesard diligently worked to bring down the ward, protected by his comrades who fought off no less than three waves of Dreugh by the time he finished.
At last, the Vestige examined the book. The Vestige scanned several pages carefully, and then exclaimed, “I can’t read a word of this!” They handed the book to Beregon.
Beregon carefully accepted the book, and then stashed it in his messenger bag, and said, “We’ll examine this back at my townhouse, where I can make use of my cipher lens and private archive.”
Leramil opened a portal, and then they all returned through it to Beregon’s townhouse. Some tea and biscuits later, together they had deciphered much of the text.

Stop anthropomorphizing Hermaus Mora! He is extremely sexy and perfect the way he is! What you don’t want to lay with a sentient green bubbling amorphous mass of tentacles and unnervingly synchronized eyeballs? Grow up
