I feel like Isabela would be very invested in the latin american rock movement

and I mean everything, from its beginnings to contemporary latin rock artists

she would be a public university student, probably a biology or botanical major

her style would be very colorful, very alternative but not exactly in a way that can be stacked in the category of alt

her hair would be different colours. literally the only reason why she paints her hair with pigments in the movie is because she doesn't have dye

vegan but not on the eco fascist side

she would be a very invested political person in a colombian way, which is a very particular one

she likes necklaces

probably has a thing for the jungle (it's a concept of indigenous identity that's been very important to latin american literature)

she uses her abuela's turntable, you can't tell me she doesn't

she is the apex of gifted child burn out and it's all very colombian

cares for the family's garden, that's kind of obvious

but she is really passionate about each individual plant on it

has a lot of energy. just. a lot. Camilo is always set out to be hyperactive one but Isabela keeps up just fine

Mirabel loves salsa and cumbia and merengue, but if there is one particular genre that defines her is indie

because she is also alt but more like on the hippie side

like the cute baggy white tops and long skirts, probably some local version of military boots

and that bag she wears in the movies, it's a traditionally indigenous stitched bag and she probably has several

rings. she wears rings

and she likes going to the flea market

she uses her abuela's turntable too. she just does. very likely to play boleros in it

latin american literature is also a big thing for her

specially the new wave which is lead by female authors. all of it. from romance to poetry

she probably has a thing for psychological thrillers (special mention to the darkness of the colours by martin blasco)

also a public university student (all the Madrigal children are tbh) and studies either literature or something related to the study of culture

you can bet she's very political just like Isabela

and probably a big advocate of the youth taking part in politics

theater kid, we all know it

and more than starring shows with big names, he likes writing the plays

there's a lot of independent theatre in this kid's agenda

he likes ballads but seriously enjoys all music

dances to it all

would he be a big fan of regueton? no. would he still dance the shit out of it? yes, 100%

definitely wrote a play about everything Isabela told him about the latin rock movement and it was awesome

likes musicals, probably really enjoys evita

if you think he wouldn't be as political as his cousins you would be wrong, he most definitely is

they come from a family that greatly suffered the violence in Colombia and they are going to be outspoken about it

this mf is joining the first line as soon as he's old enough

one of his favourite books is buda blues by mario mendoza

he would enjoy mario mendoza's work altogether tbh

and he wrote a play about his abuela's displacement, we know he did

he likes bright colours and has a very bohemian style, there would probably always be some signature yellow piece of clothing in his outfit

he would walk around with his hair up in a bun very often

Agustín loves salsa and taught Luisa that love

salsa caleña is her favourite by far

Luisa would be an athlete, maybe lifting weights or something

but I'm talking like, Olympic athlete

she was in Tokyo 2020 and won a medal, no one can tell me otherwise

but rather than it making her insecure and fearful of not being strong enough, it's something that she takes a lot of pride in

she trains religiously and takes great pride on every one of her accomplishments

probably also trains children in her spare time

she reaaally likes dresses, specially long ones

and likes going with Mirabel to the flea market because she likes old books

Luisa likes poetry, stuff like alejandra pizarnik

and has a secret liking for horror

ahora solo queda la ciudad (cristian romero) and mandíbula (mónica ojeda) kind of shit

it scares her but she can't help it

would like to write a book with Bruno's ghost stories someday

coffee is usually not a really big part of an athlete's diet but she really likes drinking it still

sometimes takes her parents or someone in the family to her trainings and on those days she runs the extra mile because it just makes her so proud

and her family's taste in music has a lot influence on her

she is very outspoken of the afro latino community

her style is maybe a little less alternative than the other madrigal children, but there's always a big afro influence there

for starters she always has her natural curls. never has she straightened her hair and never will

music is just a very big part of her and probably something she really bonds over with everyone

listens to rock with Isabela. digs for less recognized artists with Mirabel. helps compose the music for Camilo's plays. makes playlists for Luisa to train to. shows Antonio all her music

she's read ¡que viva la música! (andrés caicedo) a thousand times and has the most thorough analysis on it

Dolores is that cool cousin that's kind of intimidating but is really really nice

probably wants to play professionally when he's older

and loves having an athlete in the family, he's constantly showing Luisa off

he plays baby Jesus every Christmas since he was born

this kid has so many influences for everything regarding literature and music

he pets every animal he sees on the street and has more than once showed up home with a stray dog

really likes the first albums of shakira

Al ritmo de la salsa y de canciones representativas de cada uno de los 41 países que integrarán la edición 2021 de los Juegos Panamericanos Junior 2021, desfilaron en la noche de este jueves 25 de noviembre los atletas que participarán en las justas deportivas de la juventud en Cali, Valle del Cauca. Con la presencia de las autoridades deportivas colombianas se llevó a cabo la ceremonia de inauguración del evento, que agrupa a las naciones del continente en sus categorías juveniles. El estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero de la Sucursal del Cielo fue el escenario de inauguración para encender la llama de los deportistas americanos. Los abanderados de Colombia fueron la atleta Valeria Cabezas y el pesista Arley Bonilla, este en reemplazo del boxeador Jhon Orobio, quien por motivos deportivos de competencia no pudo llevar el pabell��n nacional. El veterano Jaime Aparicio, acompañado del grupo de medallistas de bronce colombianas de los juegos Panamericanos de 1971 le entregó la antorcha a Bernardo Tovar, emblema colombiano de diferentes ediciones de los Juegos Olímpicos y Panamericanos. La atleta Valeria Cabezas y el nadador Juan Manuel Morales se quedaron con la llama panamericana y así prendieron la alusiva a la celebración del evento continental. Finalmente, la ceremonia fue ambientada por la presentación musical en vivo de la artista vallecaucana Fanny Lú, que además cantó las letras del himno nacional colombiano y de Willy García, que entonó éxitos de la Orquesta Guayacán, junto a la tradicional música del Pacífico colombiano con la presentación de Herencia Timbiquí.
