Day 25. almost free. almost done.

it is Fake Peppino Friday... but for some reason, the sound of clucking is in the distance? that's strange..... perhaps one of these little Fakelings has something to do with it.

around a nearby town, strange rumors started popping up, about an old abandoned building that had stood vacant for a good few years. but odd sounds had been heard from within, the sounds of hard work, heavy objects being moved, and inhuman, almost cluck-like cries. nobody knew what it could have been, and none were brave enough to investigate. until... one day, out of nowhere, the building appeared somehow cleaner, and a large sign had been hung out at the front, with the bright, colorful words:

CHIK'N PLACE!!!

who was the culprit? well, one step inside this newly refurbished restaurant and you will be greeted by its very enthusiastic owner...

the often-excited, very sociable Poultrino! she started off as all of the other Fakelings, a strange, gooey blob-like creature with hunger and curiosity. but soon after going out into the world on their own, she stumbled across a runaway definitely wild chicken, which she chased after with great interest and then gobbled up with glee. but, the feathery snack awakened a strange feeling in her, such a delicious taste, she wanted to share it with all the world! and thus gave rise to the fifth and final Fakeling...

and now, all customers are happily welcomed at her humble Chik'n Place! there is chicken of all kinds there; chicken wings, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, living chickens, anything you could possibly want, as long as it is chicken! (and all VERY legally obtained, she wouldn't THINK of pilfering chicken from other establishments for her own....) and not to worry, she is very polite and welcoming to anyone who wishes to visit! as long as you are not also a chicken, or a tasty bug or rat.

their appearance and body are quite unique amongst the Fakes as well! and though she is still made out of simple Goop like the others, her "skin" is fairly soft and smooth, almost feeling like soft fuzz despite having no real feathers! her legs, tail, and "fleshy" parts are the same gooeyness as standard Fake Peppino though. despite her strange appearance, most customers assume she's simply in costume, and very few are any the wiser as to their true nature.

though, one more very important fact to mention... you didn't think they worked alone, did you? of course not, all that Chicken isn't going to serve itself! which is why the first person to enter her restaurant was taken happily hired as the first employee!! say hello to Sue, Poultrino's favorite and only employee!! (credit goes to my wonderful friend @plebbicinnabun-arts for coming up with her! 😊✨)

she helps prepare and serve many of the chicken dishes! (and makes sure that the stuff that's served is actually edible when possible...) and not to worry, her boss treats her with great care! she is paid well in a salary of both "human currency" and delicious chicken-based foods! it might just be very strange trying to explain her job to friends and family.

but together, these two help run the Chik'n Place, and Poultrino finds decent success at running a business! her Papa is very proud of her.

This is gonna sound really silly, but I have these two off switches that like immediately shut me down. I found this out once ranting about a book to my friends in the library and my one friend just reached up, patted my head and then started playing with my hair. I immediately stuttered to a halt because it was like my brain short-circuited. The other off button for me, is just someone like cradling my head. I have ADHD so I'm constantly go go go. Just adding that little bit of pressure just makes me no joke zoink out, like there are no thunks in that brain whatsoever once you touch my head.

Learning this as Ive gotten older has made it so I'm quite protective of who touches my head because it can make me somewhat kind of vulnerable, so my question of the day is how would the turtles respond to accidentally finding out about somebody's “off” button like that.

You can do whatever you're comfortable with and feels easy to write as I'm not really expecting much. Once again, this is just a request, so please please take care of yourself, your mental health and social batteries please.

Just know I think you're pretty cool and I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future 😊🧡✨

-Sure, it was after a bit of a skwabble over his sleep schedule. Or lack of.

-But to be honest, he had been wanting this too. All the naps he's been taking have been spent wishing you were there with him.

-You had told him you'd stay here until he'd fall asleep.

-You'd asked him if you had his permission to listen to music and play on your phone, all efforts to keep you still.

-He'd agreed, just happy he'd somehow landed someone willing to touch him, let him fall asleep with them.

-His eyes had been dropping, and his fingers had begun to rhythmically comb through your hair.

-Geez, this was paradise. This was everything he ever could have hoped for. The warmth, the weight of your body, the texture of your skin- If life felt this good all the time-

-Your phone dropped from your hand onto his stomach with a soft 'clunk'.

-He hardly noticed until you didn't move to grab it.

-His eyes blinked open, squinting them hard at your head. He wasn't able to see your face, but he could now feel your deep, quiet breathing. How limp you were against him.

-He smiled, his head falling back to the support pillow.

-'Noted.' He thought.

Raph

-Raph could barely remember the times you didn't want to be touched.

-You were all over him right now, and while he didn't have energy to meet this amount of enthusiasm this late- he was defiently feeling as if he had died happy. Unbelieveing that this was his life now.

-Having a partner all over him on the bed. Kissing him everywhere mid conversation, trying to talk to him through your squirming about, trying to get comfortable.

-"C'mere." He whispered, pulling you against his torso, face to face. His right side, your left side on the bed.

-You're chattering went quiet, smiling wide while Raph ducked his face into the right of your jaw, his right hand going up to hold the weight of your head between the bedsheets.

-"Oh, hi." You said.

-"Hi." Raph closed his eyes, starting to brush his thumb gently over your left cheek, his enormous arm going around you tightly, holding you as close as you allowed him.

-He waited for you to continue with your vent- but when you didn't after a long moment- he pulled back to check on your expression.

-Your eyes were closed, lips slightly parted, your head sinking more and more into his hand.

-"Hey," Raph purred. "You like that?"

-You gurgled a noise out, making him smile.

-"Yeah?" He leaned back, lifting his right hand up to smooth over your other cheek, pressing just enough to smear the skin.

-You went completely unresponsive. The change sudden and new.

-Possessivness "You're so cute." He whispered, pressing a kiss to your hairline.

Leo

-Leo had never seen you cry before.

-Something about a confrontation with a scary coworker and HR.

-He felt awkward, too big, too dumb and useless to do anything about you sobbing into his chest.

-While you held tightly to the straps on his chest in substitute of wrapping your own around him- he fought the urge to rip someone's limbs off.

-"I'm right here." He whispered instead. "You're okay, you're okay..."

-His hands combed through your hair, his lips against your scalp, preparing to be there all night.

-It took just a moment, but Leo felt the change as if it happened in him too.

-Your sobs became deep breaths, and your desperate grip on him transformers into your weight laying limp against him.

- "You okay?" Leo asked.

-"Don't stop." You whined.

-It startled a smile out of Leo, and he resumed the petting.

- Because what works, works, right?

This is going to be a long post, so buckle up while I ramble on 😊😅. Warning I am not much of a writer, unlike many talented ones on here. So forgive me if my character profiling makes no sense. It's like almost 3am in the UK right now…..ah I just don't sleep✨✨

So this is some concept art for Melione and Makaria with some slight changes.

I have decided to completely change Melione's design in favour of one I did back in 2021. Am not sure as to why I didn't stick to this original design. Let's be honest, my past Melione design is nothing special. It, to me, feels like a Persephone copy and paste. Honestly, purple is my favourite colour. Why did I avoid it for so long 😭. I think this gives her more of the goddess of ghost vibes.

Melione is similar to Hades personality wise. Shes rebellious, witty and will always somehow break every one of her fathers rules.

Now Makaria is the opposite, definitely a miss “goody two sandals”. The golden child, you could say, but the two are very close. From stealing each other's togas to gossiping with the underworld souls.

For me, zagreus is the first born, Melione second with Makaria as the youngest.

This is just a small comic I did after reading the Horn of Plenty comic again. Now, in my own story, the children go with Persephone for the 6 mouths on earth. As you can imagine, both goddesses aren't fond of Olympus. They love their family but hate the continuous separation from their father.

Now, as for their relationship with Demeter, it's very loving. One thing I've always disliked in retellings is the villainization of Demeter and how she's this helicopter parent. There's nothing wrong with this trope, but it's just really overused.

From what I've seen from the TV show, Demeter is a kind goddess who's not afraid to get her hands dirty if necessary. With this, Demeter adores her grandchildren….just not her son-in-law lol.

Jason flails until the blankets twist around him like restraints and Bruce doesn’t move an inch the entire night. It’s kind of funny, actually. One of them has actual experience being a corpse, yet Bruce knows how to act the part better than Jason ever has.”

YES ABSOLUTELY!! I think I've showed a little bit about how I plot in notion before, but I can show you my full layout, I spend a lot of time on it so I may as well!!

this ^^ is my main hub kind of page, so you can see all the different pages I deem important, from scheduling to organizing all the works I've written etc.

the so descriptively namesd "fics, plotting, vibes" page is the most important to me. It's where I have all the specific pages for each fic. For example:

I keep my plotting, scrapped/future scenes, and character studies go in here for each fic. the plotting is the main part, but I don't plot so much as just ramble my intentions for the fics, which I show above a teensy bit of with as few spoilers as possible 😭

Inspired by this post by the lovely Bloomy [@bloompompom] to list my favourites from the stories I've written, 'cause YES. Self-love is one of the best forms of love. And there's no better way to start a new year than by giving that amazing person in our reflection a well-earned pat on the back and a genuine compliment. 😊❤️

This was the 1st full-fledged oneshot I wrote here. And honestly, I'm in love with the way I executed the plot and expressed the many emotions of the characters here. I read this to motivate myself whenever I fall into a writing slump, no jokes.

This was a simple way of expressing just how much I adore the idea of raising the two cutest angels in the world, 'Miki and 'Gumi, along with Satoru... An extremely self-indulgent piece, I admit. Teeheehee.

This series haunts me every day and night. I had never shown the courage to deal with complicated emotions and complicated characters before I started this. But now, I feel so happy with myself, I decided to take the plunge and give it my all. It is my best work in my eyes till date.

One of my shortest writings, but one of my most cherished ones for sure. I love the archaic and poetic quality this work carries, besides the fact it heralded the beginning of my feelings for the feared yet so dear King of Curses.

The innumerable ideas and myriad possibilities this story gives rise to in my brain earns it a spot on this list. I cannot wait to write more for this particular version of the King of Curses & his Queen in the new year!

⁕ tv taught me how to feel; now real life has no appeal

I wrote 4.3k in less than a day. Taking only two breaks. Can you imagine? Yeah, no. Nor can I, honestly. But I really did. And this made my self-confidence increase so much for real!!

I like it for what it is today; I'm certain I shall love it for what it will be tomorrow.

✨ 30 Days Of Tiva ✨

Calling — all Tiva fans!!!

I’m embarking on a project for July 2024 titled: #30DaysOfTiva!!

I was looking at the tag of the new show (NCIS: Tony and Ziva) on A03, and I know it has only been wrangled for a short period of time, but it made me sad to only see a very small number of fics in it — the majority being mine! (I’ve written 9/13 of them!).

Of course, I know that this will increase as time goes on, and people start adding their fics to the tag, but I thought: wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a giant arsenal of fanfiction in the tag, before the show even airs? Not just for lifelong Tiva lovers, but for newcomers to the show who may go in search for new/extra content!

Thus, the idea for 30 Days of Tiva popped into my head, and I invite all Tiva fans to participate! The more the merrier! 🥰

Rules:

✨ Upload one piece of Tiva fanfiction to A03 every day, between July 1st and July 30th.

✨They can be any length. Ideally, they’ll be one-shots, drabbles, or dialogue-only, and should all be standalones. However, if you have a multi-chapter fanfic you’d like to write, uploading one chapter every day is fine!

✨ They must be new fanfics — i.e not adding anything on to WIPs. The idea is to create as much new content as possible.

✨ There should be limited editing to each one because we’re aiming for quantity over quality. You can always go back and rewrite and the end of the challenge.

✨ Try and write as many fanfics for the new show (NCIS: Tony and Ziva) tag as possible. Of course, they can be about Tiva at any time — but it would be great to get a large bank of fanfics in the tag before the show airs!

✨ Promote your content with the hashtag #30DaysOfTiva across platforms — twitter, tumblr, and tag in the works, so anybody who wishes to search for it, can find it! 😊

Actually...I don't think I've ever gotten that comment on anyone else I draw...just Leo. Which is kinda funny to me cuz I don't actively apply the headcannon that Leo has insomnia whenever I draw him.
