Technology, Magic, and Humanity
@ozqrowweek  Day 1 of OzQrow week!
“Well, that was a load of crap.”
“Mm, I’ll admit that the situation may not be exemplary. But I trust James’ judgement and Fria is still of the mind to be aware of what she’s agreeing to.”
“For now.”
The dark undertone of the gruff reply was not lost on Ozpin, nor were the narrowing of crimson eyes as shoulders were bunched and hands were shoved as deeply into scant pant pockets as they could go.
Qrow had never been one to hide his feelings on a matter, expressive in his words and physicality alike. It made the man an effective opposite to the immortal who used those same things to hide his true feelings on most things. Or, at least tried to. As time had brought them closer over years and moments, Qrow had grown more and more effective at reading him. The statements behind his words, the concern beneath his optimism, and the insecurities buried deep in the pools of his outward confidence and the expectations that came with the title of ‘immortal wizard’.
Stepping out into the cold, biting air of Atlas, Ozpin sucked in a deep breath, letting it pool into his lungs and wash away the stuffy warmth that had become cloying in the discomfort of the earlier conversation. As much as he’d put a nice coat of paint on it, he had to admit that things had just gotten a lot more complicated. While he trusted Fria completely (after all, the woman had commandingly held the mantle of the Winter Maiden since he’d been the King of Vale) things would undoubtedly get a little tricky if her mental facilities were indeed beginning to slip from her. They would need to find an arrangement that protected and respected all the vulnerable parties involved in the situation and after hours of debate, it really seemed like there would be no unanimously preferable option.
Beside him, Qrow was still compressing his spine into a slouch impressive enough to remove about a quarter of his height, the man leering into the distance as the two of them meandered down the streets at random. They’d agreed to adjourn the (rapidly escalating) discussion for the evening and to continue it in the morning when they all had new eyes and clearer heads. To that end, Ozpin was thankful that his companion (as aggravated as he was) seemed to have opted to remain with him, rather than (literally) flying off to drown his anger at the nearest bar. As brash as Qrow could be at times, Oz was thankful to have his input in these discussions, more so in how easily the man could bark what they were all thinking when everyone else was unwilling to.
“I hate it here.”
Golden hues shifted to once again regard his grumbling companion, following his eyes to a screen showcasing a muted advert for the newest line of Atlesian Knights.
“Everything’s so damned cold an’ lifeless. CIty of Progress? City of robots is what it is.”
Oz knew his opinionated partner well enough to know that while Qrow undoubtedly did feel what he said, most of it was likely just projection given his sour mood. It would be easy enough to leave the statement where it was, even more to agree and let the other vent his frustrations but so often those healthy releases turned into spirals that lead off into him watching the dark silhouette of a bird disappearing into the night to find some other manner of release. As much as he loved the man, self-deprecation and healthy coping strategies were always things that Qrow struggled with, but wasn’t that all the more reason to reach out? To offer a little nudge out of the hole forming around his companion in these dark times? Besides, he’d love to talk about anything that wasn’t their current situation as well.
“I think it has a beauty all its own.”
While he’d meant it to be heard, Oz was still a bit caught off guard when Qrow’s face turned to him finally, skeptical look in place though even that was far less sharp than the man’s features had been before, some prickly sort of curiousity peeking out underneath it all. It seemed they were of one mind in wanting a bit of a distraction.
“How do you figure that? Aren’t old guys like you supposed to hate this stuff?”
A snort left Oz’s lips at the familiar jab and Qrow’s own quirked in response, a slight change in trajectory having them walking shoulder-to shoulder (more so when Qrow’s slouch became a bit less oppressive on his bones).
“Contrary to popular belief I’m not entirely illiterate when it comes to modern technology, though I will admit in recent years its evolution has been kicked up a notch or two.”
“-Yeah, remind me of that the next time you have to update your desk again. I’ll come around and laugh.”
A sharp look just had the man snickering, playfully bumping Oz’s shoulder with his own as a more natural smirk coming into place.
“Go on gramps, I need quotes for later.”
Eyes were rolled and cheeks pinkened but Ozpin remained undeterred fixing his gaze on one of the other colourful screens above them, his movements paused.
“Well, believe me or not, but it actually makes me a bit nostalgic at times.”
“What?”
He flicked a look back to his companion who had followed his own gaze, face skyward and reflecting the lights dancing across his humoured features.
“What’s all this crap supposed to remind you of?”
“Magic.”
His answer came quickly and short, almost as if a part of him hoped that it wouldn’t be heard at all. He’d always struggled with sharing these parts of himself, even with someone like Qrow who’d he’d trust with his life five times over. It simply felt alien admitting such things.
There was no luck in Qrow mishearing though, as all at once the amusement washed away to something quizzical, Qrow turning back to face him with a raised brow and an unasked question which Oz answered first with a sheepish half-shrug and a return of his own eyes to some distant screen before quietly continuing with words barely loud enough to reach Qrow over the wind.
“In ‘my time’, magic was an ultimate solution to many problems. Those with a gift for it were capable of some truly spectacular feats, and while it could be a source of acclaim for some, it was mostly just viewed as a matter of life. A gift from the Gods.”
Colours swirled and flickered as a dust advertisement came on above, and Oz could feel more than hear as Qrow shifted in a bit closer from where his sudden stop earlier had created distance. He resisted the urge to look, continuing before he lost his nerve to.
“And then, it wasn’t. Humanity was reset, and so much of what had seemed ‘normal’ in life, was now different. The Grimm were rampant, resources were scarce, and so much of what had once seemed ‘easy’ now was a collective struggle. But.....”
And here he found his own smile tugging at his lips, a fondness bleeding into his voice that cut through his nerves at sharing this possibly silly comparison.
“Humanity always finds a way. You build, you create, you find ways to create solutions that were never before possible. I may not always understand the intricacies of technology, but it is, at its core, accessible in ways that magic never was and with it, with your own human ingenuity you’ve far surpassed what we had accomplished with our magic. You’ve created your own form without Gods or simple solutions. And that, to me, is-”
“-Beautiful.”
The gruff voice interjected into the end of his embarassed monologue, bringing his eyes to meet the crimson ones of his companion, something within them turning the pink on his face to red and causing it to spread as a warmth through his entire body particularly when a hand came to wrap around his own reminding him of how cold out it was if only because Qrow’s was so warm in comparison.
“.....Yes.”
He finished, his affirmation delayed and coming out like a stammer now that he was faced with the abrupt reminder that all he’d said actually had an audience.
Eyes searched his as his hand was squeezed, something unnameable passing over Qrow’s expression there and gone in a moment before a wide smirk split his features and a tug brought Oz stumbling back into motion with him.
“Well, I don’t know if I share your views on that completely. Hard to really see ‘humanity’ as ‘beautiful’ or any of that when we just keep fucking everything up.”
A huff was given from the man, eyes flicking back to the screen they’d passed before, still looping the footage of the new knights ebfore they returned to Oz and the smile was back, along with a quirked brow that said far too much with the words it was accompanied by.
But, maybe once we get back to the hotel and I can feel my feet again, you can try convincing me again, and we’ll see how that goes.”
Very suddenly, nothing felt cold anymore, in fact, Oz remembered very little of the rest of the brisk walk back to their accommodations that night. And while the next day saw more frustrations than joy, and the weeks afterwards were touch and go as well, Qrow remained close more than he was away and together they all worked to create a solution between the warring yet co-alligned forces of magic, technology and humanity.

-0-0-0- Chapter 2: Control -0-0-0-
The years went by fast, faster than any of them could have predict they would, and when both friends last expected it, it was already time to apply for high school.
Both had their eyes set on Atlas, one of the best superhero academies in the USA. It was said that to apply there you had to be the best in not only your classes but also in your whole school, even knowing that fact, Enhos and Roman didn’t let it discourage them. They had faith in their abilities and in the other.
“Come on Roman, is just history!”
“Why would I even need history? I’m going to be a super hero after all”
“Those who don’t know the past are bound to repeat it”
Roman looked at his friend confused and Enhos shrugged embarrassedly, trying to hide his face with the hood of Shadow
“I-It’s what Papa always says!”
“Eh, I guess he’s right” Roman waved his hand around and turned to his friend, smirking “Anyway, any idea what your hero name is going to be?”
“Isn’t it a little too soon to be thinking of it?”
“No!” Roman eyes where shinning, and Enhos could swear there was fire surrounding his friend “I’ve had my hero name since I was ten! I’ll be known as Regal, the most amazing knight in the history of heroes”
“And then there’s going to be an egocentric kid complaining that they don’t need to know history and you’ll be forgotten”
“Ack, why must you rain on my parade?”
“It’s my job as your friend” Roman groaned and Enhos smiled “But anyway, I think it fits you Young Boss”
“Ugh don’t call me that, that’s how my mom’s security call me”
“I know” Enhos smirked “And it’s hilarious”
“Why am I your friend again?” With that both boys laughed “But, do you really think the name fits me?”
“Yeah, you give off that…” Enhos paused, making some random hand movements “I don’t know, Prince Charming kind of energy”
Roman laughed and put an arm around Enhos shoulders, pressing his friend to his side and making Enhos chuckle with him
“I’m flattered”
“Yeah, yeah. Now get to work Princey, or I’ll be the only one entering Atlas”
“Oh hush, we both are going in”
Enhos smiled, even if Roman was constantly assuring him that both were going to enter Atlas there was still that silver of doubt. Would they really be able to get in? Roman had a lot of troubles in history and math, and Enhos couldn’t understand a word of Physics. Besides that there was also the fighting part of the exam.
Enhos knew Roman would do well in that part; the boy could materialize weapons for Christ sakes, but what about Enhos himself? Would he get kicked out because his Quirk was too dark? Kicked out because his Quirk was too dangerous?
“Hey, I can hear you thinking over here. What’s up?”
“Nothing, I’m just anxious about the entrance exams”
“You’ll do great! I’ve never meet anyone with suck a great control of their Quirk, and you are like wicked smart”
“Wow, careful there pretty boy, one might think you like me”
“Nah” Roman waved his hand, like dissipating the idea “I only tolerate you because your dad makes the best cookies”
Both boys laughed at that, Enhos anxiety being calmed down for the time being
-0-
“Im going to fail”
“You’ll do fine Enhos”
“No, Dad no, you don’t get it. Im going to fail and I’ll bring dishonor to our whole family, and on me, and our cow!” Jeremiah looked at his son with a small smile
“Is he aware he’s quoting Mulan?”
“I don’t think so” Aaron laughed, shaking his head
“Hey kiddo, breath” He ruffled his son hair, no longer having to kneel in front of him to do so “You’ll do amazing, you are smart and have talent. It’s gonna be great”
Enhos breather deeply and tried to center himself. He looked at his dad and nodded, he was as ready as he could ever be to go to the exam.
The trip there was relaxed, Jeremiah had soft music playing in the background and Enhos was distracting himself with his phone. Apparently Roman wasn’t feeling much better
When his dad stopped the car Enhos opened his eyes wide, he could feel the panic clawing at his throat and in his need to feel calmer he had reached out to hold his dad hand
Jeremiah held strongly and smiled “Enhos, my wonderful son”
“D-dad”
“I’m proud of you, and I’ll be proud of you no matter what”
“E-even if I f-fail?”
“Even if you fail. You have defeated the odds, everyone told you that you could only be a villain but here you are! About to take the entrance exam to the best hero school in the US” he smiled, still holding his son hand “Your Papa and I are so proud of you my son, no matter what. Now go there and show everyone that Enhos Farandole is, and always was, a hero”
With that Enhos took a shuddering breath and nodded, he could do this. He had spent more than a month studying, his grades where one of the best in class (with a constant battle for the number one spot against Roman), he had the drive and motivation. He could do this.
As he sat down to take the test he stared at his credential, the number 2089 glaring back at him. He had to fight against other 2088 humans; probably more than that, considering he wasn’t the last one in the list, but could he really earn a place here?
He was playing with his pencil when someone else sat beside him; Enhos stared at the girl with beautiful brown skin and black hair, she looked slightly scared and stressed. He figured he wasn’t looking much better. At Enhos other side sat a boy that, compared to the others sitting around, looked relaxed and composed with the air of someone that already had been picked to enter the school. Enhos stared at him through his bangs in curiosity, and in that second the boy stared back at him.
“A pleasure, my name is Logan”
“A-ah, the name’s Enhos” He shook the offered hand and Logan smiled
“Good luck today Enhos”
“S-same”
When the examiner entered the auditorium everyone was sitting in, he took out some papers and started reading in a bored voice.
“Okay, let’s cut straight to the important stuff” He murmured “As you all know you have an hour to finish each exam. There are 4 written exams, one for every important thing.”
He took a small remote control and turned on a hologram, there was written everything that could be considered important for the examinees
“As you all can see there’s one for everything language related, one for everything math related, the other for the history of the USA, and a special one for the most popular heroes throughout history”
Here the examiner paused to yawn, making a few of the kids in the front row follow his example
“You are also forbidden from using your powers; we have a few people with cancelling Quirks around the room to prevent that from happening. Well, good luck and try not to die”
With that last statement the teacher made the test appear in front of them and a clock started the countdown. Enhos groaned, they had started with math and he was ready to throw his chair at the examiner.
He could hear the panicked murmurs around the room, whispered “what the fuck” around the room, making him chuckle under his breath because same. He looked at the clock and noticed that there was only 20 minutes left, so he concentrated as much as possible. By the corner of his eye he could see Logan almost done and the girl on his other side messing up her hair, making it stick up all over the place.
By the end of the hour he could hear a few sobs, there was also relief, a few heavy sighs, someone making a half-sigh half-hysterical laugh, a general groan in the room and the defeated air in a lot of others. At least he wasn’t the only one feeling defeated because of the exam.
History wasn’t that different, but there were less sobs and more relieve sighs after that one was over. The language one was the hardest, because what the examiner didn’t explained was that it was an exams on languages. There were different questions in different languages and honestly Enhos felt like his brain was about to collapse.
And then came the only one that Enhos was sure he would ace; the so awaited test about heroes, heroes of every side of the world, heroes with different powers, heroes that were called villains when kids and the ones that were always called heroes. When that one was over the room heaved a collective sigh of relief and the examiner laughed
“Be free tired kids” He dismissed them with a wave of the hand and the possible new students scattered. Logan gave a slight nod to Enhos and he answered back with the same gesture. In the entrance door he reunited with Roman who looked like he went to war and lost
“Though exams?
“You have no- Wait, yeah you have an idea because you just went through the same”
“Yeah, my brain is not working well either” He shook his phone in front of Roman “Want a ride?”
“In your beat down car?”
“Excuse me your majesty” Enhos rolled his eyes “I’ll make sure my future car is better” with that he dialed his dad “Yo dad, exams are over!”
“I’ll be there in 5”
“We’re driving Roman to his place tho”
“Valerie is at work?”
“Apparently”
“Okay, not a problem. See you in 5” With that Jeremiah hang up
The following morning Enhos entered Atlas again, getting as mentally prepared for the fighting exams as he possibly could. He might have to use Shadow a lot, but hopefully he’ll be able to control it enough to not actually hurt anyone too badly.
He sat side by side with Roman and both were talking when the announcer of the program entered the classroom, their hair was all over the place and they had a shaky smile in their face.
“Hello! Im Talyn and I am a teacher here in Atlas” They fixed their glasses and chuckled “Are you all excited? I mean you probably are. Okay! As you all read in the application requirements, you’ll have mock battles after this”
They took a folder out of their bag and messed around with the papers a bit. Then the giant screen behind them turned on and a hologram showing five different cities appeared
“Now, these cities that you all see behind me are actually owned by Atlas and are in no way real cities so you don’t have to worry about a thing! You can let loose with your Quirks” Relieved sighs could be hear around the place “Your enemies are… this!”
In the hologram the image of a robot appeared
“There are three different types of robots that will act as villains. Your job is to defeat them”
“We are fighting robots?!” It was a general scream. Enhos stared in shock, that was definitely not what he expected
“Roman… Roman, im screwed”
“Can’t really deny that… Sorry”
Enhos groaned, this was not a good thing
“Calm down, calm down kids, let me finish. There are three different types of robots and all of them are worth 1, 2 and 3 points accordingly and you get them by defeating them. There’s one that’s worth zero points. Your job is to avoid him at all cost”
They nodded
“Anyone caught doing un-heroic things is going to be disqualified on the spot! Good luck, you have half an hour to get ready”
Enhos groaned in frustration, he wasn’t even in the same arena as Roman. He knew enough self defense and martial arts to hold his own but the others would be using their Quirks, and he was at a disadvantage.
He shook his head and changed clothes, wearing a black tracksuit pant and a grey sweatshirt, Shadow still wrapped around his shoulders as a cloak. He went out along the others several students and waited for the sign. The teacher, Talyn, started laughing at them.
“What are you all waiting for? It already started. There are no buzzers in real battle you know?”
The class stared at them in shock for a few seconds and then they all screamed, running inside the city to try and defeat as many robots as possible. Enhos racked his brain to try and think on what to do.
He grabbed a robot of 2 points by their leg with Shadows help and threw him at 2 other robots of 1 point. He could do this; he could even immobilize the robots with Shadow and kick them away. That would work, right? He was in the middle of a restless attack when he heard a “Heads up!”
Enhos moved to the side in a hurry when he noticed someone was flying at full speed at him, or more precisely, at the 3 point robot behind him that was going to attack his blind spot.
“Gee, boy! Use your Quirk!”
“It doesn’t work on robots, but thanks for the save” He turned to look at his savior and raised an eyebrow, it was the girl sitting beside him in the written exam
“Pleasure, the name’s Lilly!” She pointed at herself and smirked “What’d you say we work together?”
“How so?”
“We cover each other backs!” She was still smiling, and Enhos gave back a hesitant smile “You make sure nothing kills me and I do the same for you!”
“Sounds fair, I’m Enhos by the way”
“Well Enhos, let’s go!”
With that Enhos and Lilly kept each other as alive and safe as possible. Enhos was still mostly getting by with only his self-defense classes and Lilly was destroying robots with one hit and flying all over the place. Enhos documented that in his brain; apparently her Quirk gave her super-strength and the ability to fly.
“Less than a minute! Deploy Zero!”
Enhos and Lilly stopped when they felt the ground shook. Out in the distance a giant robot stood up, taller than any building around him and big enough to be considered a Mecha from Evangelion. Enhos gulped and Lilly cursed under her breath
“So that’s the Zero Points uh”
“It’s not really a wonder they told us to avoid him” Enhos nodded
“Let’s go Lilly; we are the closest to him. We gotta run”
“Okay!” Lilly got close to Enhos and smiled “Hold on to me, we are flying out of here”
“I don’t like flying…”
“Is that or death, but your choice kid”
“Ah fuck, okay”
He hugged the girl and Lilly flew fast enough to make Enhos lose his breath. When she stopped they were almost out of the gate
“Come on Enhos, run!”
And so he followed her, cursing slightly inside his head. He hadn’t destroyed enough robots to be able to enroll in the school, so now it all depended on the written exams. Once they were out of the city Lilly turned to him and smiled
“Well, that was fun Darky!”
“Why Darky?” He groaned, making Lilly laugh
“Because you are dressed in almost all black!” She passed an arm around his shoulder and smirked “I hope to see you around school, this looks fun!”
“Here’s hoping I make it”
She laughed again, slightly slapping his arm. They shared a few more minutes of conversation while walking to the changing rooms and then said their goodbyes.
Just like the past day he found Roman in the door, his friend looked so tired
“Did you over did it with the swords?”
“There were a lot of talented people there Enhos. One guy was just throwing robots and debris and parts of buildings all over the place with just his mind”
“Telekinesis?”
“Apparently, but he never really threw things bigger than him. There was other that was just teleporting all over the place. One that had heat rays Enhos!”
“Hey, Roman, breathe. I’m sure you did amazing” He smiled, texting his dad “At least between the two of us you have more chances of entering Atlas”
Roman sighed and hugged his friend one-armed “You’ll get in, somehow. I know it”
Enhos smiled, he wasn’t exactly sure of that. But they still had enough days to wait until the letters telling them their destiny appeared in their houses. They still could be kids, they still could relax.
Unknown to both of them a pair of eyes stared at the boys with a grin. This was getting more interesting.

OOC WEEK: DAY FIVE
Favourite band(s): SHINee, Blackpink, Red Velvet (kpop trash tbh like don’t judge me), Hurts, Seafret, Sleeping at Last, Head and the Heart etc.
Favourite song(s): Jonghyun - White T-Shirt (literally omg my boy I canny deal with it), SHINee - Married to the Music (never forget how great this song is like yes boys slaayyy), Blackpink - Whistle, Hurts - Some Kind of Heaven, Head and the Heart - Another Story etc.
Favourite book(s): Oh boy, this is gonna be a long one. Prince of Shadows - Rachel Cain (an awesome retelling of Romeo and Juliet through the eyes of Benvolio, it gives such great insight into the Montagues and Capulets and really fleshes out the characters, it made me love Mercutio about a billion times more, my sweet babe). The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern (just a really beautifully written book with such detail and imagination, set in a circus where two real magic users battle against each other by creating attractions). The Forbidden Game - L.J.Smith (I love a lot of L.J.Smith’s work but this one in particular was immense tbh, I can’t really explain much without huge spoilers but if you get the chance to read it you should, it’s three stories in one but all about the same people and it’s just a great read). The Grimm Legacy - Polly Shulman (an awesome story about a girl who ends up working at a library that lends out objects rather than books, and there’s basically a secret department where objects from fairy tales said to be myths are kept and as you can imagine that comes with a great deal of trouble). Splintered - A.G.Howard (based on Alice in Wonderland it’s a much darker story about one of Alice’s ancestors in the modern world, it’s really awesome and tbh I’m in love with the new Mad Hatter, he’s like... beaut, real book crush for sure). Seraphina - Rachel Hartman (omg so this is just such a great book, first in the series and I haven’t read the other’s yet, basically set in a world where dragons can shift to look like humans and live among them and there’s this sort of treaty stopping the two rival species from hurting each other but it’s all very fragile and it’s just such a great book and all the dragon canons are SO GREAT). Wildthorn - Jane Eagland (it’s about a girl who basically ends up in a mental institute in Victorian England despite the fact that she’s not mental, there’s awesome flashbacks into her childhood as she tries to figure out why she’s actually there and *spoiler* there’s a wonderful lesbian romance). The God of Small Things - Arundhati Roy (it’s got some pretty intense themes in this book so I’d be cautious reading it, some parts literally made me feel a bit sick but that’s sort of the idea, it’s still really beautifully written and it’s sort of about a girl returning to India and her old family home and reflecting back on things that happened in her past that she didn’t understand at the time? The really interesting thing is the flashbacks when you see things through her and her twin’s eyes as children and it’s sort of this horrible thing where as a reader you know what’s going on and you understand situations that they so clearly don’t... but it’s a lot about her realising that too, that things happened when she was a child that she didn’t understand until later and sort of the consequences of not understanding things?? Basically it’s really intense but great). Jackson Pearce’s Fairy Tale Re-Tellings (e.g. Sisters Red, Sweetly, Fathomless. Basically really cool books that take old fairy tales and switch them up, plus also really awesome there’s subtle connections between all of them which I got mainly through Sweetly & Fathomless. I read them in the order I listed though cause that’s the order they were written, and Sisters Red is a great book to start with anyway, it’s basically a re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood about two sisters- it’s also written a chapter at a time in their POV- who fight/hunt werewolves).
Favourite quote: “Harold, you have forced me to do something I really didn’t want to do... My diet is ruined and I hope you’re happy.” - Fairy Godmother, Shrek 2. (Ok but for real I can’t think of just one favourite quote but the Shrek films always crack me up)
Favourite movie(s): Oh boy, another long one. LOTR series, extended editions, of course, because they’re just generally great movies and I love them so much, won’t even lie I reckon LOTR holds a higher priority in my heart than HP, I just literally can’t fault them. I love Disney films, literally so much. the animated ones in particular and tbh I could probably say that either Mulan or Pocahontas are my faves. Bleach: Fade to Black, cause the whole movie is basically an honour to my OTP of the series and it’s all I ever needed/wanted out of the series but never really got... canonly, at least. Honestly, I could go on forever but to be quick one of my favourite movies of all time is Cloud Atlas. If you haven’t seen/read Cloud Atlas then it’s a story broken down into multiple smaller narrations and time periods, though the great thing about it is all these seemingly random people and places are all connected and you realise that as you go along. It’s got a really great narration, rather than telling one story middle to end and then starting the next it switches between all of them, giving it a really nice pace and also allowing clues and connections to build up more steadily. I won’t lie, at times it’s tragically sad but I think the message of the whole film is sort of beautiful, the whole idea really is that people are all connected to each other through time and over distance so you should live your life with that in mind, trying to make the differences you can for all the people you may help in the future. It’s basically a beautiful film with an amazing cast (Ben Whishaw is the sweetest, prettiest bean in it tbh I canny deal) and I would recommend anyone to watch it.
Favourite tv shows: Doctor Who, Teen Wolf, The 100, The Magicians, Great British Bake Off, Shadowhunters, Sense8, Stranger Things, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Game of Thrones etc. etc. (I could go on forever tbh).
Are you active in any fandoms right now?: Yes and no? It depends what you mean by active, if you mean do I actively freak out and stan all my fandoms then the answer is yes, always, never stop.
What fandoms were you active in?: The Sherlock Holmes fandom, and I saw ‘were’ because I’m still a fan but I actually, and don’t hate me, really hate the TV series. I just think there are so many faults with it, so many things not quite right about the characters, and to be perfectly honest I think the whole thing about Sherlock Holmes, what made him so damn impressive, was his ability to solve these crimes in a time where they didn’t have all this modern equipment to help him out. He was a genius because he just used his mind, raw talent, in a time where solving crimes was a hell of a lot more difficult. I think setting the series in modern day London takes some of the thrill out of it, he’s still smart but he has all this extra help and all this fancy science to back up and check everything for him. Took the magic out of Sherlock Holmes for me, so I’m holding out for the third movie and then maybe I’ll jump back in (tbh RDJ and JL make a much better Holmes and Watson too, their chemistry is more natural and their relationship in general feels more believable to me).
What tv shows or movies did you watch as a child that were fundamental to how you grew up?: Scooby Doo. Always and forever. It was just great, amazing, that this group of individuals all had different talents, interests and skills but came together to solve mysteries simply because they could and enjoyed it. Also most Disney things, I’m a Disney kid through and through.
What’s one thing you collect(ed): Soft toys aka teddies... still do.
Spotify or youtube?: Youtube.
Netflix or those sweet, sweet illegal downloads?: Netflix though only recently, tbh before that I just didn’t really watch what I couldn’t get on TV, because I’m lazy and cba.
Have you ever been to a concert? If so, whose?: A few years back I went to a Lindsey Stirling concert and it was amazing, she was amazing, I love her.
OTP: Oh boy, where to start, so many tbh. It’d be so much easier just to link you HERE, it’s the OTP tag on my personal blog, there’s way too many to list though also if you check my faves page HERE, there’s a list of my top OTPS and my inventive tags for them.
NOTP: So many from so many fandoms tbh it’s ridiculous. Couldn’t list them all, though if you want to no my top NOTP off the top of my head that’d be IchiHime (Ichigo & Orihime from Bleach) and tbh if I went into details as to why both of them deserved so much better than what they ended up with then I’d rant forever.
Currently watching: Teen Wolf, Class, How to Get Away with Murder, Game of Thrones, Shadowhunters etc. etc.
Currently reading:
Tumblr media
Currently listening to: SHINee everything tbh.
If you could make everyone read one book, which would it be?: Prince of Shadows - Rachel Cain, because if you didn’t have a soft spot for Romeo and Juliet before then you will after this book, putting it in Benvolio’s POV was a stroke of genius, there’s a whole new level added to the events when you see them through the eyes of Romeo’s older cousin. Tbh sweet baby Romeo, he’s such a smol bean, don’t hate on my babes ever.

“You’re just a child. // Well you’re just a teenager…” I also like “You think I can’t up posters on my own? … It’s upside down isn’t it?”
