I was gonna reblog my original post but I didn't wanna spam people with a long ass post (this post is already long enough) so instead I'll just link the previous post here and if yall wanna go look at it you can, but the short version is that a few days ago I made a post talking about HBs incredibly high turnover rate, and apparently within a few days it got enough traction to where it started spreading to the higher-ups of Spindlehorse, including Viv herself. I decided to make this update post just as a way to debunk what I can and as clearly as I can.
First tweet:
Tumblr media
So for starters, they say this as if IMDB's numbers aren't publically available, it's not like I pulled these numbers out of my ass without merit, these are numbers I got off of IMDB. And I know some people might pull the high school English teacher card of “Anyone can edit that!!” and to be honest I dont feel like going into the semantics of one of the most non-arguments you can possibly use so all I’ll say is that the process of editing a Wikipedia or IMDB page is not as easy as your English teachers taught you to think it is. Sure you can edit it but it's another story if the edit will be saved. There's moderation, it's not a free-for-all.
Also, I find it interesting how this tweet was made (and subsequently deleted) mere days after their promotion to Animation Director, and if there's anything I've learned from Spindlehorse controversies it is that if someone is in any real position at the top of the companies proverbial food chain they shouldn't be allowed to speak for the experiences of employees lower on the ladder than them, especially when a lot of them seem to have a habit of denying certain claims despite the public availability of numerous pieces of evidence pointing toward the contrary
Tumblr media
It's like if you visited a bunch of former employees of a restaurant with a high turnover rate with proof that they had worked there and for exactly how long they worked there and then the manager comes along and tries to basically say “NUH UH” despite information proving the contrary being publicly available (maybe not the best analogy but you get what I mean)
—
Ok now onto the second one by Viv herself:
Tumblr media
There’s a lot to dissect here so I’m gonna break it down bit by bit.
Firstly:
"They’re listing every single credited person in EVERY art department"
So the way I got my numbers was by going to the Series Animation Department section of HB's IMDB, highlighting every name from the beginning of the section to the end, and then pasting them into this website which gave me the line count of 444. Was that the most optimal way of doing so? No, especially after I learned after the fact that there's a way to just see the numbers straight up, but that hardly matters considering the fact that there are allegedly more people in the animation dept who were uncredited, however, I'm still waiting on some more info from my source as to the validity and the scale of these claims (How many people were uncredited, how little were they paid for their work, etc etc) to make a proper post about it, so until then ill just leave it at that as to not make accusations without merit.
So, humoring Viv, I added up the total IMDB credits for the Art Dept and Visual Effects Dept, as well as the Sound Dept since I qualify sound as a form of art and because I wanted to give Viv as fair a chance as possible and actually tally the total credits of “every art department” as Viv claims I did, and it still only equals 155 total credits, a little over a third of the credits in the Animation Dept
Secondly:
“That includes the TC and Chaos credits”
So these are in reference to Toon City and Chaos Emporium, 2 companies known as a source for outsourcing animation, and just to humor Viv I decided to go onto IMDB and tally up all of the Chaos and TC credits since according to her that's where I got most of my final number.
After doing so, Chaos Emporium had a total of 15 credits, and Toon City had a total of 45
So Viv is making it seem like the TC and CE credits make up a large majority of them, which is why I got the number I did, when in reality when combined they only equal 60 credits. 14% of the total (technically it’s 13.5% but I’m rounding to the nearest whole for the sake of convenience)
Thirdly:
“We dont even have 400 people. Simply Misinformation.”
You’re right Viv, you dont have 400 people, because I never said you did, nor did I imply you did. I said you've had 400. Of course you dont have 400 current employees, your company burns through them like paper because you underpay them while you go burning your Amazon and merch money on cruises and vacations and continuously post photos of you buying from zionist companies knowing full well that they're part of an active boycott.
—
So yeah, that's my 2 cents. Sorry if this sounded like some shit you'd see on a Twitlonger but after Viv was made aware of the posts I made about the turnover rate (and subsequently blocked me within the hour after seeing it) I knew that it wasn't gonna be long before I had people DMing me about how wrong I was because “Viv said it was wrong so it must be wrong”.
One more thing I wanna add because I've gotten a lot of angry messages/asks about this, a lot of Viv stans seem to think I have this bizarre hate boner for Viv when I really don’t. I don’t hate Viv, I hate what she’s become. I hate how ever since the HH pilot she’s become a bully who can’t take criticism. And not just on the surface level of “criticism makes her upset”, because yea no shit, criticism makes everyone upset at least a little, and it's why I hate it when people see someone being upset at criticism and going “ERMM, CANT TAKE CRITICISM?”
When I say “Viv can’t take criticism” I mean she actively tries to shut down any convo about it without trying to learn from it. She blocks anyone who talks poorly about her or her company and makes baseless claims knowing full well her fans will follow her to the ends of Hell regardless of whether or not what she’s saying is even correct.
That’s all I got for now

Found another odd tag — keyed off the word "hiding" — and this time it's a long one!
Tumblr media
So, the full tag is:
#blac chyna is hiding true feelings about her ‘rebirth’ makeover – her ‘lip clamps & droops’ are the proof
This sounds like a celebrity gossip headline! And sure enough, this tag is full-to-bursting with this article exclusively.
Tumblr media
I got this from the desktop site, because it's wild to see. It's just a wall of the same article, all the way down, for multiple pages.
They're all from early November 2023, and all from blogs with names that end in *-polycom, *-mag, or *news. It seems fairly self-evident that this is the work of some kind of tabloid, but I'm a curious cat. I want to dig deeper.
Digging Deeper
Most of these posts tell you (they don't provide links!) to go read the full article on POLYCOM. Ok, what is a POLYCOM? I don't think it's Poly Inc., maker of video- and teleconferencing appliances, but a few cursory Google and DuckDuckGo searches yield no evidence of anything else.
The most recent post tells us to go track down the article ourselves on "IN TREND", but provides no URL or link. Searching around for "IN TREND" on the web is fairly difficult, returning results for well-known fashion publications, trend analytics, and a brand of clothing called "Intrend". Searching for "In Trend Today" returned more interesting results, including an InTrendToday YouTube Channel and Facebook page. The Facebook page seems to have stopped posting in late 2018, but the YouTube Channel last posted a video on Dec 18, 2023. I'll talk more about the YouTube Channel under the cut at the end of this post.
Some of these posts do have "read more" links pointing to posts on Wordpress, all of which claim to be "on MAG NEWS". Each *-mag blog links out to a separate Wordpress account which seems to be re-uploading the same story. All of these Wordpress Accounts are deleted (for violating Wordpress ToS), and all of these linked posts are gone (here are two examples):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Somehow, I doubt this is some covert arm of the Maricopa Association of Governments newsroom.
Digging down into the results on Tumblr, I found a copy of this post made by the blog vouxsportsnews. They link a Wordpress article from another dead Wordpress account:
Tumblr media
BUT, their most recent post on their blog (a gossip article about Zendaya posted on Jan 5, 2024) does have a working Wordpress link, to vouxsportsnews.wordpress.com (clever 🙄):
Tumblr media
This is an archetypal internet-based gossip rag. I didn't know these still existed! I guess Wordpress is hunting them down for sport?
The "Read More ..." link in the article goes to a website called top.neotrends.today, which is a sketchy link I will not be clicking on. The "full article" is apparently hosted on www.primesky.media, which I also will not be directly navigating to. I did manage to get a screenshot of the front page of primesky today (Jan 8, 2024) using a webtool:
Tumblr media
I blurred the article shown on this page to preserve the privacy of the person it featured.
Primesky is hosted on a Cloudflare virtual private server, and no public info is available on who owns the primesky URL. A search for "redroads amag" on DuckDuckGo leads back to primesky. A search of the same on Google leads to a website at www.clickhere.world, which is immensely sketchy and looks identical to primesky. At this point, I'm going to end my search for a culprit.
Conclusion
I thought I could find the tabloid hydra's body, but I just found more heads. I'm not surprised the operators of a gossip rag bot network on Tumblr are also playing dirty on Wordpress, and covering their digital tracks well. Sometimes it's best to just report spam and go on with your day.
It should go without saying, but DO NOT NAVIGATE to these websites! At worst, they will give you every virus. At best, they will mine crypto in the background of your browser (and rot your brain).
The YouTube Channel Digression
The YouTube channel intrendtoday was created on Oct 4, 2017, and it has more than 53,000 subscribers as of my posting this post (Jan 8, 2024). However, the earliest video on the channel was posted on Nov 7, 2023. That is suspiciously close to when all of these Blac Chyna spam articles went up.
Given that the videos posted get less than 50 views on average, I think the grossly-out-of-proportion subscriber count is evidence of bot subscribers. Maybe the channel re-branded and deleted a prior back-catalog? Archive.org has no snapshots of this YouTube channel, but SocialBlade claims they lost nearly 3.5 million video views in early September of 2023 (indicating they deleted a lot of videos).
Tumblr media
SocialBlade also indexes this channel under the name "demattradinginfo", not "intrendtoday". Archive.org doesn't have records of a YouTube URL for the channel demattradinginfo, but a Google search of that name shows results for Demat Accounts, which are a type of financial account commonly used in India to hold securities and trade stocks.
It's possible that whomever is behind the gossip news spam is also in control of this YouTube channel. I wouldn't be surprised, given how frequently people offering financial advice on social media are either scammers or spammers (and sometimes both!). However, I have no proof that the people behind this YouTube channel are the same people behind this social media gossip spamming.

Thinking about Go through the Game of Golf Coaching Critiques
This past Saturday and Sunday any time Dean was the game of golf by incorporating regarding the typical golfing pals, these people commenced upward the conversation regarding many of the brand new golf-related goods that get not too long ago hit the industry. Dean understood these males pretty much and could hardly envision they had your financial situation or time for you to take a look at numerous of the goods for their own reasons, and yes it truly piqued his / her fascinated that they can experienced much know-how in products that genuinely experienced been introduced in the marketplace a couple weeks back. Consequently Dean questioned these people regarding it, and they told him they go through golf coaching critiques on a regular basis.
Many individuals like Dean only read playing golf instruction testimonials in particular goods that they are considering getting, and usually this is accomplished just for key purchases. Similar to Dean, many people don't think they have got the time to only read person comments concerning items to keep things interesting. Why when you read golfing education critiques? Below are a few in the key points to consider when you consider this issue:
Tumblr media
People know about the brand new enhancements inside playing golf instruction tools until they're ready to spend money and when that you do not reap the benefits of brand new innovations, it may actually harm your own round of golf Reading evaluations can help you assess if innovative developments are usually something you ought to put money into.
There are a large number of golf path options available, both in are living and internet based types. Several may well deal with topics as well as provide guidelines that you may have learned, while others may be really useful to a person. When you read evaluations, you'll be able to determine if the selected training course is a thing you'll need.
Being a player, you likely have obtained an aid or a pair of that may help you increase mechanics. New assists are freed every time, when a person examines critiques frequently, you can learn which ones will disclose probably the most improvement.
Many people be certain of reading golf-related publications and could perhaps follow a playing golf website online to hold the particular heartbeat of this marketplace, yet few maintain the most up-to-date innovations along with emits associated with products unless they are released in a very guide they already examine. If you make time to read playing golf instruction evaluations on a regular basis, you'll be able to made the decision on your own that products are advantageous as opposed to become relying on the info the Sunday paper decides to create. There are numerous wonderful item evaluation web sites accessible, thus hang out searching for a couple of you want right now. Visit this Golf Lounge Resort website to read more about it.

Hi! I've been a follower for a little while, originally for the tailoring because it's something I'm interested in getting into, and you make such beautiful waistcoats. But I saw your bobbin lace and it made me go !! because did some self-taught lace-making in high school and I don't run into many others who do. Back then, I mainly used Jo Edkins' website (old one I used: https://www.theedkins.co.uk/jo/laceold/index.htm and New: https://www.theedkins.co.uk/jo/lace/index.htm) for torchon, and the 16th c. pattern book 'Le Pompe' (https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/356989) for braided lace, because they were...nearly the only thing available on the actual making process. After a preliminary search just now, I see there's a bit more, and I hope I can find more info on non-torchon styles than before. But I was wondering, what resources do you use?
Hi there!
My lacemaking journey is very much self-taught too, and the Jo Edkins website has been invaluable! Right now I'm just working my way through her torchon lace beginner patterns. I'm looking towards the Bucks Point patterns next.
I've also found the video's from Bryce Adams very inspiring, particularly since she recreates antique lace and in doing so shows a lot of the logic behind the lace.
I also have some books from the Lace Guild (UK) on Honiton Lace, but they're still too advanced for me at the moment. They do look like great resources though. I don't see the books I have on their site now, but they do have lots of publications about lacemaking (I'm told the Lace Museum is definitely worth a visit too).
I did not know of that pattern book, thank you so much! I think Jo Edkins might also mention it on her site, I'm gonna have to look into that. (It's such a great site, I also really love she conveniently translates things into my mothertongue, it's really nice of her).
Should I stumble on more resources, I'll put it in my lacemaking tag!

how do you get into roleplaying on a ff server? like how do you do it and how do you know if your character is lore compliant? ;A; pls youre a big inspo to me
*Hugs Nonny* Getting into RP on a FF server can vary; I don’t actually RP much these days, outside of some friends I already have connections to--and that in itself can be difficult just due to Life! It can take time, and patience, and some fits and starts.
And this gets...really really long, so buckle up and go below the cut, please. :)
The cut got broken by an edit. Sigh.
In game there’s always the RP status tag, and just doing RP with folks in public spaces. There may be trolls now and then, but they can be ignored. I personally find Balmung’s Quicksand area too busy and anxiety inducing and not actually all that conducive to actual RP, even “meet at a tavern” walk-up type. But unless you already have a ready-made group of friends/FCmates willing to RP more than some random walk-ups with you, it may take some legwork to find folks you can and want to write with.
Social Media There are a couple of RP community blogs, like @mooglemeet and @ffxiv-crystal-rp  and plenty of server-specific ones. There’s also some Discords for these communities. They host and advertise events and reblog people who are looking for RP contacts. Some of them have running gdoc calendars and in game linkshells and fellowships as well.
Shofie has a good post about Tumblr/social media RP blogging.
@shofie-ffxiv
It’s a fact now that social media outside game is a way to make contacts, or even a medium for RP itself. There are few centralized websites/forums for server RP communities anymore. Making connections over your social media, like Tumblr and Twitter, can help find RP. You can’t just throw your own character info out there or reblog prompts hoping others bite, though; you have to put in some work and show interest in others, too. This can be difficult and even scary. That’s OK.
RP is about collaboration and creating with other people, which means finding folks you can write with, and who see you as someone interesting but also interested in them and their OCs. If you want to keep it a solo endeavor focused on your own OCs, write fanfic (which I’ve actually made friends and gotten RP interests that way too through comment interactions, so hey).
If you reblog a prompt from someone, see others on your dash reblogging prompts, if people reblog that prompt post from you? Send them asks! Alternatively, don’t wait for prompts, just send asks, comments, or chats saying hello and things you notice or like about their blog/character/posts they make. Try to form connections with people you think are genuinely interesting and might be fun to talk with. Social media should be, well, social.
BUT respect boundaries, too. Don’t try sarcasm or jokes with people you don’t actually know, it tends to go over poorly. Unless someone’s specifically posting a naughty meme/prompt, keep stuff you others send clean and polite, especially if it’s unsolicited and you’re not already friends (doubly so if you don’t know how old they are IRL, there are laws you do not want to break). Respect if people aren’t open to random asks or chatting with new followers, or say “no” to RP, and know it’s not personal--it’s just what they have time, energy, and emotional/mental capacity for. Don’t give up on other people, though. This stuff can take time and effort to find those you click with.
Respect and communication with RP partners is pretty key.
Do curate your feeds and don’t be afraid to unfollow/mute/block folks, either. I’m selective in who I follow and remove as needed, too, for my own mental health. I miss so much of the discourse and drama and that’s fine by me. Also it costs nothing to not step in on a lot of the drama when it does pass in sight.
Profiles I have static RP profile pages for my girls here on Tumblr (and a lot of other static links and pages, but I’m weird about organizing like that). This way, if people want to write with me, send me prompts, if I sent them prompts, or they want to otherwise interact with my characters, the information is handily available. For some folks, this makes all the difference in who they choose to interact with: how easily can they find even basic info about your OC?
Some people make Carrds. Some folks have gdoc links, or use Dreamwidth, etc. Just keep the links in the blog’s sidebar menu, and/or in the blog desc so people can see ‘em on mobile. There are templates out there, or you can make your own. Feel free to snag mine if you’d like. A lot of times people also copy their profiles to rebloggable posts when looking for RP contacts. Profiles are a good way to let folks know just the at-a-glance basics about your character(s).
I picked a simple theme with a simple layout that makes it easy to add and show off links. I put them in the blog desc to make them easy to find on mobile, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Images: links from my blog sidebar menu showing how over organized I am]
RP, Stories, Lore Post some stories or RP logs (with permission of others involved) or even just random little blurbs and headcanons, as well as any screenshots, art, aesthetic posts for your OCs. Have something of interest to show for your character, too, so some of those folks your interacting with have something of their own to see and ask about!
If possible, try some light RP with friends and FC Mates who are amenable. Go to events, even if just to lurk at first. When you do get up the nerve to talk to people, don’t try to throw a character’s entire backstory at them, or try to steal the limelight--RP is collaboration, back and forth, and a lot like real conversation. Maybe come up with little light things to talk about if asked; a recent adventuring job, a silly shopping incident, etc. They can break the ice or just give you something to reply with for a few minutes.
Lore Compliance is Variable. Some people really want lore compliance, others are OK bending it here and there, while still others throw it out the window entirely. If you want to be super lore compliant...read. There’s a LOT of information, in game and out, for finding lore; from official publications and website material, to tools like Garland Tools site, to compilation blogs like @mirkemenagerie.
Note what’s important for your concept. Narrow it down. Characters aren’t going to know or be or do everything, so only worry about what’s necessary for the base idea. And be flexible; it’s SE’s sandbox, we just play in it, and they can change things any time. They usually do it in the guise of characters not knowing/having all the correct information, at least, but also some places just don’t exist in game yet so we don’t have info.
I’m unspecific about a lot of elements of Aeryn’s childhood, for instance, other than “traveling merchants near Thavnair.” I don’t have to be super specific. I can keep most details vague, and focus on her family and those relationships.
Dark, as my first character, has a fairly simple backstory that I’ve expanded on and adjusted over time as I learned and came up with new info. I also bet no one remembers I originally said Dark was from the North Shroud. I’ve changed things (now from East Shroud, due to the proximity to Gyr Abania and its Hellsguards) as I learned more about the world and my character. You don’t want to change things willy-nilly, but sometimes being flexible and smoothing down some rough edges and making small changes can be fine, especially as one gets more lore over time.
Iyna has a pretty detailed backstory, that came from a basic idea, and checking dates in the pre-Calamity timeline. I based her being taken and trained the way she was not only on what info we have about Garlemald’s imperial practices with conquered provinces, but borrowed a bit from real life and the re-education schools many Native Americans were forced into (though I haven’t gone into detail on that yet, either). I tied the turning point in Iyna’s life to a major event that wasn’t the Calamity, and have left plenty of space in between for me to fill in as time goes on and I learn more about her and the world.
The world isn’t static, and is bigger and more diverse than what can be shown in the game. There’s space in the margins for plenty of weird stuff and contradictions or unusual cases. So read up on what you can, ask questions, and then find where in those spaces your OC fits. Then, find people who enjoy similar tastes in lore compliance (or non-compliance), and who enjoy playing with you and your OCs, and not worrying about the rest. Can’t please everyone, nor get along with everyone, so don’t try; just find what works for you, and who works with you, and don’t police anyone else’s pretendy fun times, either.
There’s no magic answer on the “right” amount of lore compliance, or how to quickly and easily find RP partners or break into the broader RP community.
I hope this helps at least a little bit! Good luck in finding your niche for RP, and maybe I’ll see you sometime at an event :)

☆ . · . simay barlas, twenty-two, female, she / her . · . ☆ AYLA CLEARWATER lives in that huge mansion over there! no, not that one. look for THE LARGE NATURAL STONE FOUNTAIN and that’ll be it. the SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHER has offered occasional glimpses of LIGHT GREEN walls and an impressive collection of EMPTY PICTURE FRAMES in the background of social media posts, but all of that is nothing compared to seeing the opulence in person. they’ve remained CLEVER as ever since moving to tercet court one year ago, but it seems like they might’ve gotten a little more of NARCISSISTIC too. maybe that’s why they’re rumored to have such a FRIENDLY relationship with everyone else who lives on this street. ☆ . · . ooc info: ollie, they/them, 21, est . · . ☆
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘
— she was adopted when she was just under two years old from turkey, so the clearwaters have always felt like her family to her. she knew the greater part of growing up that she was adopted, it just never was an issue for her. it was a fact, but it really wasn’t an important fact. she has no desire to try to find her birth parents or family, though she has visited turkey.
—  the clearwaters are a triple threat in sports : her grandfather retired mlb player and coach, her father a retired prominent defenseman in the nhl and current dartmouth men’s hockey coach, and her older brother ( 26 ) is making a splash in his third year in the nfl as a wide receiver.  however, her parents made sure she and her brother had a ( fairly ) average “middle class” bringing up, though they had their fair share of money in the bank. didn’t have to struggle, really, but didn’t get everything she wanted either. had a summer job scooping ice cream for two years in high school.
— grew up in norwich, vt, real big on nature and hiking and all that jazz and lowkey misses it in the heart of la.
— when she was ten she got one of those kid’s polaroid cameras ( u know the ones where the film is only a little bigger than a postage stamp ) and she was obsessed. she worked her way up through cameras over the years, having a natural eye for it.
— one of the first games she ever shot was one of her brother’s high school football games which sounds sweet but it was actually because she was so bored out of her mind and wanted something to do. needless to say, though, that was the start of it. some might say it was kind of inevitable she gravitated toward sports somehow — she was a clearwater at heart. since then she has gained a lot of knowledge and respect for all different kinds of sports.
— for college she was torn between dartmouth and nyu. she ultimately chose nyu because it was somewhere new.
— she went to nyu for advertising and photography, shooting various nyu sports teams while she was there and throughout her years, managed to shoot a few rangers, knicks, and yankees games as well. she held two summer internships with the yankees ( on her own merits or because of her family name, she may never truly know ) and ultimately graduated from nyu a year early.
— she then spent the better part of a year after graduation road tripping as you do and ended up in california. it’s all about who you know, and in picking up a favor for a friend in cali she stumbled into the perfect opportunity. from there she landed a role on the company that handles the photography for staples center and other notable teams, most notably the kings, lakers, and dodgers ( photography company based on this irl one ).
— she moved into tercet court not long after she knew she would be in la for much of the time being. it’s definitely not her house, considering she makes just enough to live on. it’s a family home, purchased initially by her father who’d wanted to sink some money into tangible assets instead of the stock market and to have a west-coast home available for the family. hey, worked out pretty well for her.
— she has predominately been tasked with shooting the kings the past year or so, though she started with shooting dodgers games last summer and is doing so this summer as well. she’s also shot a handful of lakers’ games when a friend needs someone to cover. three of her photos so far have been used in large ads and banners in the city ( including most recently her current MONEY SHOT of the game winning goal in a come back win ) --- very cool moment for her. several others have been used by local publications and websites.
— she does a little freelance work as well ; mostly for friends or friends of friends, though she’s been considering lately trying to make her skills and business available in a more professional manner. she does do a lot of photographing for herself --- a lot of candids ; she thinks they capture the true spirit of a person moreso than when they’re posing or prepared for a photo. but not in a creepy way --- she’s been the victim of the paps enough times by association with her family to know the correct boundaries and limits.
𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐂
— lowkey loves playing games with the paps, though she’s probably the only one that finds it funny. as a photographer herself she has a good eye for where they’re hiding and will also snap photos of them in turn just for her own amusement.
— she hopes someday to be the team photographer for a team, hopefully in one of the “big four” ( nfl, nhl, nba, mlb )
— she played field hockey and lacrosse through high school.
— ayla thinks she’s better at shooting people. part of what she loves about being a sports photographer is how active and unpredictable it is to shoot a game. she’s had to learn a lot to try to predict what she can.
— very much a morning person. has never had a problem waking up in the morning. who’s jealous bc i am. goes for a run at sunrise, and has showered, gotten ready for the day, and is at a local cafe shop editing photos / making graphics and drinking an iced mocha by 8. truly couldn’t be me...
— so desperately wants to be that girl with tons of cute aesthetic plants in her apartment but tragically plants always die in her care no matter what she does. probably has gotten one of those tiny tabletop sand zen gardens to make herself feel better tho she still keeps trying with plants. so far the only ones that have lived any length of time are the air plants.
— she really wants a greyhound but is afraid to make the commitment to actually adopting one.
— her personal insta ( the non-sports one ) has a modest following. a few thousand, probs.
— she has struggled a bit with people who think her opportunities have only arisen because of her family pedigree ( which some have gone so far to tell her they’re “not her family” --- which, don’t even go there, lads... ), and that has made ayla work all that much harder to prove that she’d gotten where she has on her own merits.
— she has a rule ( and in the case of the nhl there is a rule enforced by a signed contract ) about not getting involved with anyone she shoots ; it’s considered a conflict of interest. i imagine she has a really good relationship with the players though --- probably doesn’t hurt that she is pretty. at least one of them have hired her to shoot their wedding this summer even though she is wildly under qualified.
𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘
alya is a chill and laidback person at heart. her approach to the fame attached to her due to her father and brother has been to laugh it off good-naturedly. she’s generally well liked, with a hint of sass and humor. she comes across as a bit of an air-head at times, but that’s part due to a persona she put on from a young age. she has an observant eye that drew to her photography in the first place and will often allow her to draw certain conclusions about people. she’s well versed in all the sports she shoots, something that tends to surprise a lot of people, but how is she supposed to be good at her job if she isn’t ? if she gets bothered during games she typically shuts people down with wide eyes and some obscure bit of knowledge in her cute, raspy lil voice. dareisay... elle woods, what like it’s hard ? energy ??
a few of her downfalls include her narcissism and need to be liked. she looks to look and feel pretty, by her own standards, and is a queen of the self-timer and remote self photography : has two instas because of it -- one for her sports photography and one that’s a “personal” and mostly just pictures of herself. her need to be liked is something she doesn’t even realize. she likes to be seen in a positive light.
𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄
alya stands at 5′4″ with a slim but athletic build. her hair is naturally brown, but is dyed to have blonde highlights. she does not need glasses or contacts and has no tattoos.
she’s almost always wearing the same pair of beat up timberland’s she’s owned since freshman year of college. she likes to be able to move easily ( bc homegirl absolutely cannot walk in heels at all ). despite what the tabloids like to call her unfortunate choice in footwear, she likes to look cute, often pairing them with short, flowy sundresses or skirts + crop tops. when she shoots games, however, she’s dressed rather practically in skinny jeans, a crop top, and a cardigan. her hair is often kept down and loose, or in a messy bun.
𝐎𝐎𝐂
it me. ollie again. i also play fitz ( miguel bernardeau fc ). yes the overlap between fitz and ayla is not great but i truly only know one thing that that one thing is hockey asldfalsdjf sO. if y’all seeing me rping with myself on the dash bc i think it’d be fun to bounce fitz and ayla off each other mind ur own business...

So Andre suggested I post my serial original fiction, In/Exhale, on AO3.
The thing is, I wrote season 1 in like 2012, and it was the first time I had tried to write the story for a public audience... so I would have a huge urge to re-write/Re-edit it (again)... but I honestly don’t really have the time/energy for that.
Would anyone be interested in reading it via AO3?
(In its current state. You can read it via free downloadable ebook on my site right now.)
It’s on on-going series, with three complete seasons so far, probably like 300-500K words.
I know several of you expressed interest in reading some of my original work. When I asked that question I wasn’t thinking of I/E, but it is a story very close to my heart.
Here is some info about the story from my website:
Tumblr media
Here’s a tiny excerpt from the first episode (abridged):
Kai tried to bite back the wave of regret that swept over him. Sure, he’d lost a few years, but that was behind him. He had a future now, one he hadn’t thought would be possible, and he needed to focus on that. He’d put the past firmly behind him, and focus on the now, on the possibilities ahead of him instead. And none of these people had to know any of it, if he could help it.
It only took a few minutes to reach the third floor, and Kai shuffled out behind a couple of cute girls. He wondered if he could ever bring himself to get close to someone again. Not just in bed--he had Nikki for that, and what they had was incredible--in fact, he planned on seeing her tonight after his classes. But growing up as an orphan in a home, he'd always dreamed of having a family someday. A wife whom he loved, and who loved him, some kids. Most of his life that had been as big a fantasy as flying, but then he'd met Becca. Becca, who he'd thought could maybe be the one, who would stick with him despite everything.
Kai felt his hands balling into fists as he wandered down the hall for his first class. New start, new start, he thought, fighting his fingers' instinct to sign the words as he finally found room 312, shuffling in behind a few other students.
Room 312 was one of the large auditorium-style lecture halls on campus, with stadium seating leading up in tiered rows, divided into three sections by stairs. It was still early; class didn't start for at least another twenty minutes, so plenty of seats lay empty. Kai glanced at the front row, where there were gaps obviously intended for wheelchairs and sighed despite himself before turning his attention to the stairs and the far top back of the room. Troy had told him to push himself as far as he reasonably could, and although he had avoided stairs as a general rule for most of his life, he decided to give them a try.
Without his crutches or a handrail it was harder than it could have been, and halfway up Kai debated stopping. But he'd been trapped at the bottom of rooms like this so often in his life, and the thrill of his breath coming so easily even as his exhalations and inhalations grew quicker and shallower, encouraged him to keep going.
When he finally reached the top, he collapsed in the first available seat, staring down and reveling in his achievement. He knew it was silly, and it wasn't like he'd ever seen a mountain, but he realized this must be what it felt like to climb one and look down, admiring the view, knowing what you did to earn it. It wasn't the most practical seat for various reasons.
Kai was so lost in his own thoughts he hadn't realized a girl had sat down beside him. It was her aroma that got him first; one of the things Kai had enjoyed most since he'd been extubated post-transplant was getting his sense of smell back. She smelled delicate and floral; he couldn't quite place the exact scent, but it was subtle and lovely. A body spray, perhaps, instead of a perfume. Certainly not pungent enough to provoke an attack if this had been before.
When he turned his head, he realized she'd been staring at him, and for a moment, he grew nervous. Had his collar dipped or come undone and she could see his trache scar? He knew it was creepy looking, especially if you'd never seen anything like it before. Reflexively, he brought his fingers to his neck, and maybe she sensed she'd been staring, because she blinked, shook her head, and smiled.
"Sorry." She cleared her throat. "I'm Renee Poche," she said. Her voice was soft and sweet like her scent; clearly, she wasn't from the Midwest.
"Kai Fox," he replied, offering his hand, reluctantly dropping it from his throat.
She smiled. God, she had a beautiful smile. She was petite; it was hard to tell how tall now that they were sitting, but it was yet another indication that she wasn't from around here. Her hair was dark--almost black--and curly. Kai didn't know much about women, but it looked natural, her thick tendrils perfectly framing her face in a managed chaos he found entrancing despite the fact that Becca also had curly hair.
"That's an unusual name. You a freshman?" She asked as she pulled a notebook and pen out of her bag.
Kai flushed slightly, realizing how silly it was for his body to react this way. "Yeah." He couldn't manage to say more than that.
She flipped her desk out and laid her supplies on it, smiling the whole time. "I'm an architecture student, so my program's five years. I'm a second-year right now. But I put off most of my core classes last year, so here I am."
Kai grinned despite himself. He wanted to touch her curls, feel their softness on his skin, never stop smelling her unique floral scent. His stomach churned and he knew immediately he wanted to know more about her--everything. Suddenly, his chest grew tight, and his face paled. No. This hadn't happened since. . . . Reflexively, he dropped his hand to his right pocket, feeling the inhaler beneath his palm.
"You OK?" Her face was so concerned and sincere, and she'd reached for him, placing a warm, tiny hand on his arm.
He stared at it, forced himself to take a few slow breaths, realizing he was OK. They'd experimentally grafted the most important nerves, so he had more sensation than most transplant patients, but it was different than before, something he was still getting used to. The tightness could have been his imagination. How was it that this girl he hardly knew, whom he'd just met, could make him feel so off kilter? He eased his lips into a smile to reassure her and give backing to his words.
"Yeah. Sorry." He swallowed. "First day jitters, I guess," he added with a bit of a blush.
She laughed, a musical, lilting sound that made him grateful for his hearing. "So what classes are you taking this semester?"
Kai thought a moment. "World History I, English Comp, Intro to Philosophy, Intro to Psych."
The professor had arrived and was setting up for the lecture, writing "World History I, H101, MILLER" on the white board.
"Me too," she said. "I mean, I have those same classes. We should sit together in them, too."
Kai felt a warm flutter in his stomach. "I'd like that."
Renee looked as if she were about to say something else when the professor cleared his throat and began to speak. He was a short, chubby, bearded man, or perhaps his height was an illusion created by the distance, dressed almost stereotypically in khakis, simple button-up, and tartan sportscoat with brown patches on the elbows.
"Welcome, ladies and gentleman, to World History I. This course will fulfill your common curriculum requirement, but only if you study hard and pass my exams."
Kai knew he should be taking notes, but he'd nearly forgotten himself, so entranced by Renee, so he fumbled for his bag to grab a notebook and his own pen. It could have been his imagination, but she seemed to be casting glances at him every few minutes, smiling the entire time.
"Many people ask, 'why study history?'" Professor Miller leaned on his podium as if he were studying the class, taking everyone in one by one. With nearly three-hundred students in this section, there was no way he could know them all, and Kai knew he and Renee were just two in a sea of faces. "Of course, the easy answer is 'because then we're doomed to repeat it.' However, I think life is far more complicated than that."Professor Miller abandoned his podium and crossed so he was nearer to the first row of students, laying one arm across his stomach and balancing his opposite elbow in the palm of his hand, supporting his chin on his fist. "I believe that the past, however behind us it may seem, is never truly gone." Miller again searched the faces in the crowd, and for a split moment, despite being dozens of feet away, Kai felt as if their eyes met, and his pulse quickened, nervous, but not sure exactly why. He glanced over at Renee, partially so he didn’t have to look at the professor, and partially to simply steal a peek at her. She had her head bent over her paper, as if she were taking notes, but he could see from here her page was blank.
"The past is always a part of us, and as much as we may like to forget that, not only can't we, we mustn't." Professor Miller nodded his head, then turned his back on the audience.
Kai knew Miller wasn’t speaking to him, couldn’t be speaking to him, but why did his words feel so personal? And why couldn’t one forget the past? Kai had done it before, shifting dark memories into the deep recesses of his brain, never talked about, never thought about. Why should now be any different?

haley lu richardson. cisfemale. she/her.  /  kameron “kami” abbott just pulled up blasting man by jojo  — that song is so them ! you know, for a twenty-six year old singer & actress, i’ve heard they’re really self-destructive, but that they make up for it by being so persistent. if i had to choose three things to describe them, i’d probably say midnight drives with the top down, music playing loudly through headphones, & a wall of paintings from everywhere she’s been. here’s to hoping they don’t cause too much trouble !  ** jojo levesque acting & voice claim
general info
full name: kameron joanne abbott
birthdate: november 3rd, 1993
“stage name”: kami
basically if you know who jojo is ......... that’s kami. but if you don’t, watching this 26 min video explains everything ( and is kind of worth the watch bc jojo is a fucking QUEEN )
growing up and rise to fame
kameron abbott was born in massachusetts to recently divorced lynette & joshua abbot.  though they were divorced due to other extra marital issues ( her father and mother were both cheating on each other for the length of their marriage ) they decided they could be co parents.
when they made these plans, they didn’t expect it to really affect them as much.  their own personal issues made it hard for the two grown adults to get along and they wound up fighting all the time.
kameron lived with her mother full time, seeing her dad often though, but most of her early memories include hearing the two of them fighting or making comments about each other in front of her.
was seven years old when she got her first singing gig, she was going to be singing the national anthem at a school event, which is where somebody else saw her and she wound up singing at another event.
it was at one of these events that kameron was spotted by a talent scout and brought in to a recording studio.  she wasn’t sure if it was going to work for her, but she was excited nonetheless.  a real paying job!  singing and making music, man it was her dream.  she would give anything for it.
they signed a contract when kami was ten and a half, and started looking into music that they could use for her.  kami was interested in writing her own music, but at ten years old she didn’t have a lot of life experiences to draw on for music.  so the label worked with different demos and gave her some options and they worked with her to pick what would be best.
kameron and her mother relocated to brooklyn when she was eleven years old, working on getting her music heard by people who mattered and working on the album.  it was a lot of time that kameron took out of her school in order to work on everything.
some of the kids in school were always curious why she was missing so much school, and yet was still at the top of her class.  kameron continued getting her school work even when she’d be working in the studio either in new york or los angeles.
her first single “leave ( get out )” dropped the summer before her 12th birthday.  the album followed, titled “kami”, was released the next winter early in the year.
suddenly, there was a lot of press about the tiny girl who had a powerful voice.  she was on talkshows and working on different circuts getting her music out and talking about everything.
claiming that fame
kameron’s life changed drastically when her album dropped.  she thought they would be staying in new york, since that’s where the label had relocated her.  but shortly after the release, they decided it would be best to bring her out to los angeles instead.
so at thirteen kami found herself in a new city ( again ), surrounded by people she didn’t know.  sure, she was making a name for herself, but what the hell was she really doing?
kami wound up not going to any of the local schools, instead her mother decided it would be best to home school her in the meantime while they were in a period of adjusting to a new place and working on her second album.
it wasn’t anything that they expected to be doing so quickly after the first, but the abbott women adjusted.
during this time kami didn’t see her father a lot.  she would call him and talk to him here and there, but since he lived on the east coast and she was on a tight schedule there wasn’t time to do much of anything.
on top of working on a second album so soon after her first, kami was auditioning for film roles.  she even managed to land a lead role in the film aquamarine -- which meant she was filming that and had to put the album on pause for a couple of months.
aquamarine premiered the spring of 2007, and was claimed to be one of the best “sleepover fics”.  the kind teenage and preteen girls watch to get their minds off of their own problems.
she got close with her co-stars too, some of the first real hollywood friends she had.
following the success of her theatrical debut ( not as herself ), kami’s second album dropped the following year ( very unusual for me, but i’m keeping the track listings of jojo’s first two albums the same for kami’s ....... a wild concept ik ) actually just before halloween.
during the process of promoting her new album, kami got her second fil role in the movie rv.  the film came out in the summer of 2008.
of course, as much as kami liked acting, she really wanted to be in the studio working on music of her own.  but there was something else going on.
the lawsuit
kameron wanted to be in the studio for everything -- she’d been writing her own music finally.
except, her label was putting it off.  and kami didn’t understand why.
she tried to busy herself by working on recording everything she had, working with several different producers and coming up with new tracks.  and still, despite all of this, her label wasn’t releasing her music.
kami confronted them about it, telling them ( at 16 years old ) that if they wouldn’t release her new music, that she’d walk from the company and find somebody else.
that’s when they pulled out their contract.  they owned kami’s voice--so she would have to do what they wanted her to do.
she was ten and a half when she signed the contract--or technically when her mother signed the contract.  they hadn’t been in hollywood before and they’d been assured that it was the same kind of contract that anybody would sign.
of course, kami was livid, she had worked hard, to just wind up fucked by the label she’d thought of as a family for so long.
the label was putting out other artists music and pushing her release date back again and again and again.
finally, kami found a lawyer and she began the very long process of suing her label for her voice back.
handling the situation
to make herself heard, to keep her fans happy while she was going through all of this--kami found a loophole.  she couldn’t release her music publically and do any big promo through her label.  but she could release her music on multiple websites such as soundcloud and straight to youtube.
of course, she was a little disheartened at first that there wasn’t a direct answer for her issues even though she was in the courthouse.
in the meantime, since she couldn’t put her own music out into the world, kami was featured on several different songs.
she was also acting, because she felt like she needed to keep being out there in the world for everyone who cared about her.
her mother and father were both there for her, but wanted kami to see if she could quit making music and focus on something else.  she had money from her previous and current work, she could make her way in anything she wanted.
but it wasn’t what kami wanted to do.  it wasn’t her dream.  she wanted music.  she didn’t care how she had to do it, she loved making music and bringing her music to people who needed to hear it.
sure, she could go to college or find another job.  that wasn’t even what she had been thinking about.  but it wasn’t what she wanted.  music was all she could think about.
finally, kami said fuck the studio’s rights and decided she was releasing her music one way or another.  which is how her mixtapes came about.
her first mixtape was released in 2011.  and then she started doing smaller shows.  no big concerts or anything, but small shows in order to get everything out there.
this was also the first "album” that kami had nearly completely had a hand in writing herself.  she finally felt like she was letting her fans see who she was as an artist and not just as a performer.
of course, during this time, kami is still in a consistent legal battle.  her label’s going bankrupt, but they still technically own her voice and she wants it back.  but nothing’s happening.  and she just wants to scream out loud.
this led to a lot of self doubt and depression and kami wondering if she wasn’t good enough to be on her own.  she fell into a spiral of doubt and stubborn thoughts and couldn’t bring herself out of it.
it doesn’t help that kameron isn’t the most talkative person ever in the world because she thinks she can really handle everything on her own.  so while this is all weighing on her and causing mass amounts of stress and destructive thoughts, kami’s pretending like it’s all fine.
she’s photographed laughing at parties and working on her music too.  nobody suspects that inside she’s dying and needs a release.
she managed to release another mixtape and an ep of covers, too.
release
finally, kami could breathe again.  the spring of 2015 brought her the courts decision.  it was ruled in kami’s favor that she could be released from the contract she’d signed years earlier.  and finally, she could look into making music of her own with a new label.
kami’s response was a big fuck you to her label.
instead of immediately coming out with new music that she’d been working tirelessly on, kami put that to the side and began a new project.
her music wasn’t available online for her fans, and she had won the rights to the songs.  they were hers.  so she could do what she wanted to.
kami spent the next two years in the studio working on rerecording her original two albums ( kami, 2005 & this time 2007 ).
of course, during this time she’s doing interviews and talking to her fans and she swears that she’s back for good and nothing will stop her.
she’s found a new label that will treat her like she deserves to be treated and won’t do something like that again.  she’s protected in her contracts, and she completely understands everything.
the fall of 2017 kami rereleased the albums on streaming services and on itunes.  she didn’t expect anything of it, but suddenly the two albums were at the top of the itunes charts.
“#kamiscomeback” was trending on twitter worldwide for two whole days.
she was elated.  began doing interviews with her fans.  q&a videos on her youtube channel.
kami did a couple of pop up appearances too.  she wanted to make sure everyone knew that even though she’d spent a lot of time rerecording old music, she did it for a reason.  she owned it, and she wanted the people who had worked hard on the songs with her to get what they deserved from it instead of the now defunct label that had kept her in the prison for so long.
kameron was in a constant motion of making music in the studio and working on concerts.  she did a whole summer concert series in the summer of 2018.  she was working so hard.
DEATH TRIGGER WARNING before going on the stage during one of her summer concert shows kami got a phone call from her mother.  normally she wouldn’t have answered this, but she felt it was important to do so.  her father died in a car accident.
kami’s team was ready to pull her out of the show, pull her out.  but kami was insistent on performing.
a video of kami breaking down during not one but two of her songs went semi viral.  it wasn’t until the next day that it was announced what had happened.
focusing on now
kami took a bit of a break, which she hated doing, because she’d just been on the longest music break of her life but she knew her mom and her people were right.  she needed time to grieve.
kami moved away from los angeles and went back home to massachusetts for seven months.
during this time kami was working on new songs and writing them.  but she needed time to breathe and focus on herself.
it was in december of 2019 that kami released a new song off of her upcoming studio album, along with a music video just dropped with a link on her twitter.  music. ( more coming in 2020 ) the video is a string of all old home videos of kami growing up and singing.  it’s raw and real, and was praised for how honest it felt.
kami recently released another song off of her upcoming album, man.  it’s much more of an upbeat song and she released the music video the same day too.
fun facts
kami is allergic to strawberries, which she found out at the age of four.
was never particularly close with either of her parents, but she spent more time with her mother growing up.  she wished they were closer and friendlier, but there was a lot of underlying resentment.
kami has a dog named sodapop.  has a cat named bender.
she’s had a couple of different hair colors over the year, but it was always different for her different phases.  during her bad battle with her label her hair was jet black.
loves crime shows.  always wanted to be on criminal minds, but she has done shows like hawaii five-o & lethal weapon.
was a contestant on “kids say the darndest things” when she was five.
rides a motorcycle, but also doesn’t ride hers too often.
loves to watch makeup tutorials for fun.
makes fun of herself constantly.  in fact, she released a song about some hate tweets she got for shits and giggles not too long ago ( kameron )
has one a couple of awards, but won her first grammy at this past grammy awards
loves 80s and 90s movies.
collects paintings from street artists everywhere she goes.  she’s got a whole room filled of them at her house.
turned her house’s guest apartment into a full fledged recording studio.
wanted connections
childhood friend(s) / a first love / exes / past pr relationship / current pr relationship / a friendship where they tease each other but love each other / maybe a roommate or something

‘ROGD’ is done. Debunked. Over. Here’s why.
I’ve posted before that ‘ROGD’ isn’t proven by any means, but might indicate some stuff. But it looks like I was wrong - there are so many more methodological flaws with ROGD than I thought, and it doesn’t even have a shred of reliability. This info was found via a link sent to me by @dumatsquiet
Article: Methodological Critique of Littman’s (2018) Parental-Respondents Account of ‘Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria’
Published in: ‘Archives of Sexual Behaviour’ as commentary 22 Apr. 2019. This journal is peer reviewed and is the official publication of the ‘International Academy of Sex Research’.
Author: Arjee Javellana Restar, a PhD student from the Department of Behavioural and Social Science at Brown University in Providence, USA. This article on her seems a little outdated but it indicates her main areas of study are public health and behavioural interventions for LGBT, trans and gender-non-conforming people of colour.
Tbh there are probably a lot more problems - these are the highlights that I could reasonably easily quote and make out in Restar’s paper, and I am not by any means an expert in this area. But that being said, lets begin!
Littman’s premise was available to parents before they completed the survey, allowing them to self-select & introducing bias into the way parents would respond
“The premise of the study is also stated at the beginning of the consent form […] and introduces risk for participant’s self-selection bias and survey response bias. […] Providing this premise prior during the consent process provides an opportunity for motivating a specific group of parental-respondents, particularly those who agree with the premise, to elect to participate in the survey. Furthermore, providing the premise of the study in this way sets expectations of the survey before parental-respondents can even begin to provide their answers, which can bias their response towards support for the premise.”
Despite the fact that the parents were asked if their children had ‘ROGD’, they were given absolutely no criteria or definition for what ‘ROGD’ was
“Littman asked parents to indicate based on their observation if their adolescent child has “ROGD” and whether it started during or after puberty. Littman also provided definitions for “gender dysphoria,” “transgender,” and “coming out/announcing as transgender,” but not specifically “ROGD” and “puberty.” It is unclear whether parents were informed how “ROGD” and puberty were operationally defined and conceptualized in this paper. Specifically, what makes gender dysphoria a sudden or rapid phenomenon solely based on parents’ accounts of adolescents and young adults’ announcement of their trans identities?”
Littman asked the parents to diagnose their children based on a simplified-language version of the DSM criteria. The simplified language used was never made public, and we have no idea if it had bias.
“Littman also asked parents to perform two independent ‘diagnoses’ of their child’s gender dysphoria using DSM-5 criteria for gender dysphoria in (1) childhood and (2) in adolescence and adulthood (i.e., current age); Littman also noted that the language for these measurements was simplified or adapted for parents. Littman neither provided examples of this simplified version of the DSM-5 nor offered evidence about whether best-practice methods for measure adaptation were used prior to administering the survey […] Without methodologically confirming the new versions of these two independent diagnostic criteria prior to administration of the survey, instrument bias may have been introduced.”
Littman asked parents to DIAGNOSE their kids. That in itself is a problem. Weirdly enough, psychiatrists actually are trained in stuff that your average parent doesn’t know!
“[A]nother fundamental methodological error Littman makes is using parental-respondents accounts of ‘ROGD’ to generate interpretations and conclusions about clinical conditions like gender dysphoria. Part of the DSM-5’s diagnostic measurement for gender dysphoria also requires an evaluation of its association with clinically significant distress. Unless parents in this paper received formal training and have licenses to conduct clinical psychiatric diagnoses, parents enrolled were not classified to classify any persons, including their children’s gender dysphoria. […] As such, relying on parental-respondents’ accounts introduces a significant bias that affects their ability to ‘diagnose’. It has been previously suggested that parents are less capable of conceptualising and interpreting their children’s emotional and physical experiences in a manner that is conducive to an operational report, such as an online survey.”
The parents’ retrospective diagnoses were based on their memory (completely unvalidated by outside sources) from up to 6 years prior to the survey
“Asking parents to recollect information on this time frame [up to 6 years prior] places a substantial burden on memory. […] While developmental research has utilised recall methods in the past (Dex, 1995; Hardt & Rutter, 2004) the paper did not provide information on whether there were any tests performed to examine the accuracy of the recall information.”
The sample of parents was heavily skewed towards white, college-educated, middle-aged parents, and specifically sought out parents already advocating ‘ROGD’ as an idea from 3 websites with prior discussion of the idea.
““The parental-respondents displayed a very narrow demographic stratification despite being sampled from a very specific venue: 82.8% were female sex at birth, 91.4% were White, 99.2% were non-Hispanic, 66.1% were aged 46-60, and 70.9% had attended college. Notably, 86.5% believed their child’s trans identification is not correct, and recruitment relied heavily on three particular web sites known to be frequented by parents specifically voicing out and promoting the concept of ‘ROGD’. Thus, these are not just ‘worried parents’ but rather a sample of predominantly White mothers who have strong oppositional beliefs about their children’s trans identification and who harbour suspicions about their children having ‘ROGD’. […] There is very little evidence that this sample is representative of the diverse parents of trans youth and young adults.”
“While descriptive studies frequently use convenience sampling, there is a clear distinction between convenience sampling and biased sampling that is not acknowledge by Littman. […] As noted earlier, Littman recruited specifically on three Web sites solely because these venues are attracting a specific demographic of parental-respondents who are already subscribed into, are selecting into (i.e., self-selection bias), are promoting the concept of ‘ROGD’, and agree via consent form with the premise of the study.”
Littman did not control at all for bots, trolls, multiple identical responses, multiple responses from the same parent, etc. etc. She also provided no information on if any parents filled out multiple forms, as they were permitted to.
“In addition, as the survey was administered online, Littman made no mention of best-practice strategies for conducting web-based survey. For example, there was a lack of description of online security against robots and/or Internet ‘trolls’. […] There was no description in the article that conveyed the survey had a de-duplication protocol that flags possible multiple responses from the same parental-respondent […] In fact, as evident in the consent document, LIttman decided not to collect IP addresses and explicitly stated that multiple responses from the same parental-respondent who reported having more than one child they suspect to have ‘ROGD’ were allowed [… but] Littman did not provide any evidence for controlling or weighting for multiple children from the same family in the analysis and failed to report whether any parental-respondents did indeed have multiple children they observed to have ‘ROGD’.”
Littman invented her own methods of measuring distress, function at school, coping mechanisms, etc. and none of them were validated.
“Littman made no references or citations to other valid instruments [than the DSM simplified for parents] and problematically used non-validated measures throughout the paper to support the study premise and hypothesis. For example, as Littman was interested in coping mechanisms, for which there are an already established battery of validated measurements available, it is questionable that Littman chose to craft survey questions without any statistical psychometric validation instead of using or adapting validated coping measures.”
Littman reported the parents had pro-LGBT attitudes in 2 areas, but neglected to include information on the additional LGBT attitudes gathered by the test used in the method. These items included whether they would support or oppose transgender non-discrimination laws.
“Littman reported that 85.9% [of parents] were in favour of [gay marriage] and 88.2% believed that “transgender people deserve the same rights and protections as others.” However, these were only two of the four gender and sexual minority-related attitude items included in the survey. IT is unclear why these two specific items were selectively reported. The two items not reported concerned parental beliefs around whether it is a good or bad thing (or neither) in society that more gay and lesbian couples are raising children, and whether parental-respondents would support or oppose a law to protect transgender people from discrimination in employment and housing.”
Littman’s responses indicate that pubertal blockers and cross-sex hormones are too easily available; but this completely contradicts significantly more methodologically-sound research that indicates the opposite.
“Littman found a small portion of the parents sampled (23.8%) reported that “[their] child was offered prescriptions for puberty blockers and/or cross-sex hormones at the first visit”. This finding is alarming given that it runs contrary to WPATH’s Standards of Care as well as in contrast with the current literature. Some studies [on the topic] have documented difficulties of accessing hormones and care due to multiple barriers, including limited and delayed access to pubertal blockers and cross-sex hormones, and a lack of access. Other studies have found that providers are substantially less comfortable or reluctant in providing hormonal care. As such, it is important to elucidate the results of the Littman paper in light of its methodological limitations as well as alongside the body of transgender health literature.”
Littman claimed to follow ‘grounded theory approach’, but included her hypothesis in the consent form. ‘Grounded theory approach’ is based on the idea that you shouldn’t develop your hypothesis until you have the data.
“Littman states the use of a ‘grounded theory approach’ to analyse open-ended responses […] The a priori biases present in LIttman’s framing of the study and methodological biases identified in the sampling approach, informed consent language, and item selection violate the essential principles of grounded theory. A hallmark and a necessary research process of grounded theory is the inductive analysis of data (rather than deductive theory-driven analysis) in order to formulate a hypothesis”

Witnesses
Panel I
Jomana Qaddour, Co-Founder, Syria Relief & Development
Written testimony
Arnaud Quemin, Syria Country Director, Mercy Corps
Written testimony
Anna Cervi, Syria Country Director, Norwegian Refugee Council (by video link)
-------------------------------------------------------------
@CausingFitna vetted the witness list better than the Human Rights Commission via VIDEO: Jomana Qaddour – Muslim American Society at Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission 9-12-2019
Her name is Jomana Jihad Qaddour, from Kansas. Her father is Dr. Jihad Qaddour, and they are with both MAS Muslim American Society...
The day after the 2019 anniversary of the 911 attacks, 9/12 she continues the info-jihad, not once mentioning Sharia or her affiliation with the MAS in this video, as she wants to present Syria Relief and Development, not MAS. Jomana speaks at several times throughout the video starting at the 47 minute mark. Ilhan Omar speaks with Jomana starting at 1:35:30...
Jomana Qaddour pictured above with HAMAS and Hezbollah supporters Mahdi Bray and George Galloway in Overland Park, KS 2009.
I have to wonder as she lectures…. how much of the money she raised, equipment, or food gets into the hands of ISIS, AQ, and all the other jihadist groups?
...
Another Refugee scam run by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Muslim American Society is Mercy Without Limits….. ALSO based in Overland Park. KS – MWL is also made up of Muslim American Society leadership. Jomana Qaddour is family friends with the Albadawi family of Overland Park, KS. Duaa Albadawi had plans to marry and defended the jihadi who was convicted of trying to blow up Chicago’s Wrigley Field. Now she runs a Syrian Refugee Organization in Overland Park, KS….. what could possibly go wrong?
-------------------------------------------------
We have to wonder, who vetted the witnesses and who allowed a member of a terror-linked organization access to Capitol Hill the day after the 18th anniversary of the Muslim terror attacks on America?
Clearly, we’ve learned nothing since.

Free Tinder Gold And Tinder Plus 2020
Free Tinder Hack No Human Verification 2020:
While you’re out mining dating apps for love this Valentine’s Day, these platforms are doing the same to your data. That’s because these apps and sites’ business models rely on the information you provide, to determine things like the matches they suggest and the ads they show you as you swipe.
GET FREE GOLD HERE
FREE TINDER PLUS HERE
But in a sea of strangers’ profile pictures, it can be hard to tell how, exactly, services like Tinder and OkCupid choose the suggested matches for you that they do. After all, the algorithms that power these platforms are proprietary, and companies have no interest in dishing out intimate details about how they work, neither to us nor their competitors.
Still, the information these companies have volunteered (and what they’ve disclosed thanks to data privacy laws like the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation) can give us a good idea of how they generally work. As to whether these algorithms are actually better than the real world for finding love? That’s still up for debate, though that hasn’t stopped 30 percent of US adults from trying one of these platforms at least once in their lives.
How To Get Free Tinder Gold 2020:
What types of data do dating sites track, and who can get it? Join the Open Sourced Reporting Network
Tumblr media
Christina Animashaun/Vox Open Sourced is Recode by Vox’s year-long reporting project to demystify the world of data, personal privacy, algorithms, and artificial intelligence. And we need your help. Fill out this form to contribute to our reporting.
First and foremost, whatever data you explicitly share with a dating app or site, the platform now has it. Depending on the platform you’re using, that can mean your gender, sexual orientation, location data, political affiliation, and religion. If you’re sharing photos or videos through a dating app, yes, the company has access to those. And they might be screening them with AI too; Bumble uses such tech to preemptively screen and block images that might be lewd.
But a dating platform can also have access to data about your activity on social media platforms if you connect them to your dating profile. As journalist Judith Duportail recounted in the Guardian, the dating app platform Tinder had maintained at least 800 pages worth of information on her that included info from her Facebook and Instagram accounts (including her “Likes” and the number of Facebook friends she had) and the text of conversations she had with every single one of her matches on the app. (You too can try requesting some of your Tinder dating app data, if you’re curious.)
So whatever service you’re using, be it an app-based platform like Hinge or a website-based service like Match.com, it likely has a bunch of your data. And these platforms work with third-party services that can also receive information about you.
How To Hack Tinder For Android And IOS 2020:
For instance, a website data tracker can pick up the URLs you visit while you’re on a dating site and use that information to gather analytics or target ads at you, as we explained earlier this week. Your data could also be shared with third-party companies that your dating app might work with for the purpose of studying their site usage and to help target ads.
youtube
Some of these dating-sharing processes are questionable. For instance, back in 2018, Grindr was forced to admit that two companies it had paid to study its app usage were ultimately able to access information about its users’ HIV status (that practice has since been stopped). The Android versions of OkCupid and Tinder, which are both owned by the Match Group — which, yes, also owns Match.com — have reportedly shared users’ data, including information about their political views, ethnicities, and location, with a customer engagement service called Braze, according to research from consumer protection agency the Norwegian Consumer Council earlier this year. (Responding to this report, Match said that it does not use “sensitive personal information whatsoever for advertising purposes,” and that it uses third parties to “assist with technical operations and providing our overall services.”)
Though they share user data with third parties, dating companies generally claim that they’re not selling users’ personal data. But that doesn’t mean they can’t have security vulnerabilities. Here’s just one concerning example: A bug in the chat feature on the dating app Jack’d made it possible to view users’ images sent as “private” on the public internet, as reported by Ars Technica last year. And on Tinder, a security flaw caused by issues on both the Facebook platform and Tinder’s login system allowed researchers to take over accounts on the dating app with just a user’s phone number (the problem, which was raised in 2018, was quickly fixed).
Another privacy consideration: There’s a chance your private communications on these apps might be handed over to the government or law enforcement. Like a lot of other tech platforms, these sites’ privacy policies generally state that they can give your data when facing a legal request like a court order.
RELATED:
Your favorite dating site isn’t as private as you think How do the algorithms use my data to suggest matches? While we don’t know exactly how these different algorithms work, there are a few common themes: It’s likely that most dating apps out there use the information you give them to influence their matching algorithms. Also, who you’ve liked previously (and who has liked you) can shape your future suggested matches. And finally, while these services are often free, their add-on paid features can augment the algorithm’s default results.
Let’s take Tinder, one of the most widely used dating apps in the US. Its algorithms rely not only on information you share with the platform but also data about “your use of the service,” like your activity and location. In a blog post published last year, the company explained that “[each] time your profile is Liked or Noped” is also factored in when matching you with people. That’s similar to how other platforms, like OkCupid, describe their matching algorithms. But on Tinder, you can also buy extra “Super Likes,” which can make it more likely that you actually get a match.
You might be wondering whether there’s a secret score rating your prowess on Tinder. The company used to use a so-called “Elo” rating system, which changed your “score” as people with more right swipes increasingly swiped right on you, as Vox explained last year. While the company has said that’s no longer in use, the Match Group declined Recode’s other questions about its algorithms. (Also, neither Grindr nor Bumble responded to our request for comment by the time of publication.)
Hinge, which is also owned by the Match Group, works similarly: The platform considers who you like, skip, and match with as well as what you specify as your “preferences” and “dealbreakers” and “who you might exchange phone numbers with” to suggest people who could be compatible matches.
Tumblr media
But, interestingly, the company also solicits feedback from users after their dates in order to improve the algorithm. And Hinge suggests a “Most Compatible” match (usually each day), with the help of a type of artificial intelligence called machine learning. Here’s how The Verge’s Ashley Carman explained the method behind that algorithm: “The company’s technology breaks people down based on who has liked them. It then tries to find patterns in those likes. If people like one person, then they might like another based on who other users also liked once they liked this specific person.”
It’s important to note that these platforms also consider preferences that you share with them directly, which can certainly influence your results. (Which factors you should be able to filter by — some platforms allow users to filter or exclude matches based on ethnicity, “body type,” and religious background — is a much-debated and complicated practice).
But even if you’re not explicitly sharing certain preferences with an app, these platforms can still amplify potentially problematic dating preferences.
Get Tinder Unlimited Gold No Survey No Offer 2020:
Last year, a team supported by Mozilla designed a game called MonsterMatch that was meant to demonstrate how biases expressed by your initial swipes can ultimately impact the field of available matches, not only for you but for everyone else. The game’s website describes how this phenomenon, called “collaborative filtering,” works:
Collaborative filtering in dating means that the earliest and most numerous users of the app have outsize influence on the profiles later users see. Some early user says she likes (by swiping right on) some other active dating app user. Then that same early user says she doesn’t like (by swiping left on) a Jewish user’s profile, for whatever reason. As soon as some new person also swipes right on that active dating app user, the algorithm assumes the new person “also” dislikes the Jewish user’s profile, by the definition of collaborative filtering. So the new person never sees the Jewish profile.
Tumblr media
If you want to see that happen in action, you can play the game here.
Will these apps actually help me find love? A couple of respondents to our call-out (you, too, can join our Open Sourced Reporting Network) wanted to know why they weren’t having much luck on these apps. We’re not in a position to give individualized feedback, but it’s worth noting that the efficacy of dating apps isn’t a settled question, and they’ve been the subject of extensive debate.
One study last year found connecting online is now the most popular way to meet for US heterosexual couples, and Pew reports that 57 percent of people who used an online dating app found it to be at least a somewhat positive experience. But these apps can also expose people to online deception and catfishing, and Ohio State researchers suggest that people suffering from loneliness and social anxiety can end up having bad experiences using these platforms. Like so many tech innovations, dating apps have trade-offs, both good and bad.
Still, dating apps are certainly helpful tools for landing a first date, even if their long-term success isn’t clear. And hey, maybe you’ll get lucky.

Get Job Offer In Canada From India 2019
Canada is a beautiful country to live and work in. Offering huge benefits to the new migrants and the PR holders, it gains additional brownie points for these offerings and ranks on top for being the choicest international destination for immigration. For Indians wishing to relocate, getting a job offer from Canada is their biggest dream comes true.
As you must be aware of the recent positive developments in the bilateral ties between India and Canada, this is surely the best time to plan your relocation to Canada. Owing to free healthcare, free education, improved state of the public service sector, and better salaries, there is no denying the fact that Canada is a better choice than India for those aiming at exponential personal and professional growth. Looking at these favourable conditions, Canada has over time become the most sought-after destination for Indians.
Canada, just like India, has a diverse and strong work culture. Indians do not find it any difficult to adjust and instead have a great time working with the Canadian employers. The professionalism in Canada is also more or less on the same lines as in India but Canada surely offers better salaries for the same skill set and work experience. Also facilitating the migration of the family, Canada has made it easier for Indians to plan and execute their aspirations of Immigrating to Canada for a better lifestyle.
Permanent Residency for Job Offer in Canada
As Canada treats all its Permanent Residents (Canadian PR holders) as its own citizens, working in Canada with a PR status is a more attractive deal than working in Canada on a work visa. The Canadian PR is the like the Green Card of America, not simple to apply and receive one but surely worth the time and effort spent in the application process due to innumerable benefits and perks.
Though there is less paperwork and quicker processing times for a work visa than that for permanent residency, opting for permanent residency is a beneficial decision for the long run. As PR is granted only after thorough analysis of the candidate’s profile and verification of his/her documents, a Canadian employer prefers a candidate with PR as his/her data is sure to have been pre-verified by the Canadian government. The PR also acts as a proof of the candidate’s skill set and a validation of his/her physical and mental health.
How to Apply for Canadian PR?
Express Entry Program
Of all the available methods of application, the Express Entry Program is highly advisable for any candidate as it is a points-based system and has comparatively low processing time. Each candidate fills the online application and is given a score called the CRS score based on his/her profile that includes age, educational qualification, work experience, language proficiency, and a few other factors.
The candidates with the highest CRS score are then shortlisted to form the Express Entry Pool. For an applicant of the Federal Skilled Workers Program, it is mandatory to have a minimum CRS score of 67 points to be shortlisted. The candidates in the pool are then sent the invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian PR.
The Express Entry Program is a very fair selection process as all candidates are given scores on the basis of their profile only. Only the most deserving candidates are given a chance to apply for emigration and Canadian Permanent Residency.
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)
Canada comprises of a large number of provinces and each province has its own set of requirements in terms of the candidate’s skill set, job experience, and language proficiency. A certain skill set may be in high demand in one province and may have less significance in some other province.
An applicant can browse the requirements of each Canadian province and see if his/her profile is suitable for a vacancy in any province. If the candidate seems to have an appropriate profile for a vacancy in a province, he/she can apply to that particular provinces’ Provincial Nominee Program. If the candidate gets selected by the province, he/she earns 600 additional points for his Express Entry profile which is sure to get him shortlisted for the Express Entry pool.
The only condition for most PNP programs is that the candidate must be able to showcase his/her interest in residing and working in the same province after successfully migrating to Canada.
Quebec Skilled Workers Program (QSWP)
The Quebec province of Canada has a separate program called QSWP for skilled candidates who are willing to economically establish themselves in the Quebec province. To apply to this program, a candidate must apply online for QSWP, also called the Regular Skilled Worker Program.
Once the candidate completes the application process for QSWP and gets selected, he/she is offered the Quebec Selection Certificate. With reference to this certificate, the candidate can then apply for Permanent Residency with the Canadian federal government.
It is not necessary for a candidate to have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer before applying for permanent residency, but if the candidate has one, he/she can earn additional points on the basis of job in his/her Express Entry profile.
Apply for a job in Canada from India
Express Entry Program
Independent of your academic qualification and/or work experience, we would suggest you to apply for PR via the Express Entry Program as it is the most reliable method for getting your desired job in Canada while you are still in India.
Searching for a job from the Express Entry Pool is a hassle-free and quick process. There is a huge database of Canadian employers who are looking for international skilled workers to fill up the available vacancies in their companies. The applicants can easily conduct a job search and access Canada’s top employers.
If a candidate is selected by an employer, the employer submits an application to the immigration department in the candidate’s favour and confirming his employment in the firm. This will have a positive effect on the candidate’s profile and fast-track his application processing.
This is the ideal application process for professionals with huge work experience as they have a high probability of being quickly hired by the employers registered in the Express Entry portal.
International Transfer By The Company
If you are employed with an international company in India that also has an office in Canada, you hold a chance of getting an international transfer to the company’s Canada office. Though the probability of your transfer depends majorly on your skill set, experience, performance, and the project requirements in the company’s Canada office, you still can try and succeed by making stringent efforts.
This may not be the most reliable option but if you succeed in doing so, you may be able to apply and get the Canadian PR after 1 to 2 years of continued work experience in Canada. This is the most feasible option for professionals working in international firms who are willing to continue working in the same firm for an extended period of time after migrating to Canada.
Apply For Job Through International Online Job Portals
In this digital era, there are many online job portals with international job offers from across the World. These can be used by candidates to search for relevant jobs in Canada and contact the employers with their resume and profile details.
There are only small to medium size enterprises registered on these job portals, the big enterprises generally do not search for candidates via such job portals. These are suitable for candidates with less work experience who are looking for a short term job opportunity and plan to switch job after moving to Canada.
An immigrant must be aware of the fact that a Canadian employer can offer a vacant position to him/her, if and only there is no Canadian citizen or Canadian PR holder suitable for that particular job role.
