Also, I don't think Robbie would have been thrilled to share his space with Tony, famous "playboy billionaire" who made a big part of his fortune selling weapons. He has a troubled past and even if he's reformed, I don't think Robbie would exactly love him.

Also, in this retelling of the events of Midnight Suns, Eli happened but Robbie is now bonded with ol' Sparky, who I like to headcanon as a fairly young but powerful Spirit of Vengeance. The idea that Robbie, in his proverbial bad luck, got stuck with the Moon Moon of the Spirits of Vengeance was too hilarious for me to discard.

Don't worry, Eli's (now metaphorical) ghost is still haunting Robbie!

My Qi Rong headcannon of the day (incorporating my design for him) is that like Hua Cheng, he can change his appearance so that even after he loses his mask in the second book/season, people can’t exactly say he looks like Xie Lian. My design for him really turns him into a goblin so if we pretend he looks like that then he’s intentionally becoming something as far from Xie Lian as he can, but his true form would be much more beautiful and their similarity much more prominent. But in canon he doesn’t actually have enough power to do that I don’t think? Hua Cheng is powerful enough to have multiple forms so maybe Qi Rong can get by with having only one.

And ignoring my design for him, I think this is also why he wears a mask. Pretty boy don’t like being reminded he’s related to Xie Lian.

I also have a headcannon that he was executed by decapitation with the royal xianle family so in the afterlife he has a huge scar around his neck. He’d get pissed off to find it mirrors Xie Lian’s cursed shackle.

In other words he’s trying to be something as far from Xie Lian as possible, even if he has to make himself as ugly as he can to do so.

It was only on her Eikon's awakening from the death/rebirth of the Phoenix that she awoke as a Dominant. Swarmed by cardinals and priests alike, the ten year old Branded held no words of her own, all those in power speaking to the public on her behalf - to parade 'the goddess' in their needs for sating display, her brand painted ivory whites each day. Her only true companions were her Light and Shadow; Dion her trusted friend and Aramis her eternal guardian. For the purpose of her own needs, the newly-made royal Anabella falsified the excommunication of Aramis, compelled the duty for Bahamut along the front lines, leaving Selene alone to the kindness of a poisoned apple; sending the young woman to her death in a lockbox within the water. It was only using her Eikon's power - at the cost of her own health and fortitude - that Selene saved herself, fighting to live despite all the ingrained teachings that told the once-Branded otherwise. Now considered dead to the world and mourned by that suffocating religion, she found her first taste of freedom alongside another ghost; Joshua Rosfield. His status as a Dominant serving to hear the Mind's Call for help from that stormy river; bringing her to learn the world with his travels.
