#i joke but i also am deeply serious #my dad and i are wishing so desperately for my grandma to meet someone who isn’t a member of her echo chamber friend group #she’s either shut in at home watching one american news or hanging out at their houses watching it #would some kind-hearted elderly man be willing to save my grandma from herself by gently + lovingly illuminating to her how far she’s gone #because she certainly won’t listen to us #even after the numerous fights we’ve all had with her and the ever-growing distance between her and the rest of us #in fact i bet that distance is only leading her to believe that her echo chamber is all she has anymore #and it really fucking sucks #her late husband was deeply conservative but he still somehow kept her from feeling as though 95% of the global population is her enemy #without him she’s just losing it and we are losing her in the process
