Hurricane

 

Explosions. Gunfire. Someone shouting his name.

He could tell; despite the ringing in his ears he still recognized his name. It sounded so, so far away. Nearly drowned out by the cacophony of violence in the distance.

Garrus! Garrus! Don’t close your eyes. Damnit!

Shepard.

He thought about getting up to answer her calls; always obedient, always loyal, but the more he concentrated on his body, the more he felt like he was drowning. The chaos around him was too much, it was suffocating him.

His head was swimming. He couldn’t see Shepard, just the blurry ceiling of the apartment he’d been camped out in for weeks.

He still couldn’t believe she was alive. After all this time, of course she would resurrect from the dead to come to his aid in the eleventh hour.

Suddenly, his view of the ceiling was blocked by red fringe and bright green eyes.

Shepard.

Garrus hold on, Joker is on his way.

As she spoke the distant hurricane of explosions and gunfire faded away. She was the only thing he could see. She really was very pretty.

You can’t do this to me. I need you.

She sounded upset. He didn’t like to see her upset. He blindly reached an arm up and she grabbed his hand.

Just a little longer. Please. For me.

He couldn’t hear her anymore, so he tried to concentrate on her moving lips. They looked soft. Humans were so strange.

As exhaustion took over and the world around him faded away, Garrus thought about what Shepard’s lips would feel like pressed against his mandible.

Maybe not that strange, he thought happily as he drifted off into unconsciousness.

The Tracy boys and middle names

Okay so I've finally watched all three seasons of Thunderbirds Are Go and I don't know if this has been discussed (and if it has been, sorry) but I may or may not have started watching because I'm a hardcore astronaut fan (check out my space blog @jackswigert haha) and when I learned the boys were named after the Mercury Seven I was like oh????

Anyways, with the canonical reveal of two of the boys middle names, I can now (probably) confirm the rest of their names and where the heck Bartlett came from

so like most others in this fandom, i assumed the bros middle names were the last names of the astronauts, meaning the following:

Scott Carpenter Tracy

Virgil Grissom Tracy

John Glenn Tracy

Gordon Cooper Tracy

and Alan Shepard Tracy

But! As the last few episodes confirmed, Alan's middle name is Bartlett,,, which at first I was like,,, what

But then I remembered that Alan Shepard's middle name started with a B, and sure enough, his full name was Alan Bartlett Shepard

This means that the boys share middle names with their Astro-namesakes!

'But what about Gordon??' You may ask. Here's the thing about Gordo Cooper: Gordon is his middle name, not first name. His first name is Leroy

It's the same thing with Scott Carpenter, who's full name is Malcolm Scott Carpenter

Which is why Gordon uses Gordo Cooper's last name!

Which means, using this logic, the boys names are:

Scott Carpenter Tracy

Virgil Ivan Tracy

John Herschel Tracy

Gordon Cooper Tracy

and Alan Bartlett Tracy!!!
