refs + bios for my nowhere train ocs!

i talk about them a lot but havent made official bios for them until now.... most of them have been around for at least 3 years now!

i might redo some designs in the future, ah well. At least they're here now.

germans in chat can correct me if im wrong but i believer its hen-oond-here. hen is a corruption of hin (the original phrase is "hin und her" or back and forth in german.) and "her" is a bit hard for me to write, but thats about what i have. anyways onto the facts !

- rainy weather was rare where they're from, but they enjoyed it a lot. it was a good excuse to stay inside and read a good book.

- very fond of mathematics! they're a pro number cruncher and always have been. If its got numbers, Henundher can do it.

- their fear of tests and deadlines can be directly attributed to their time at school at home. their family had big plans for them.

- memory is also a strong suit for them, Henundher also learns impressively fast. The flipside is that Henundher doubts these facts constantly, never in front of anyone though.

- being made of a wood like material, they aren't very fond of water. they also worry about bugs nibbling on them!

an oddity in NWT is that most characters are only children, this was by coincidence as i normally have siblings everywhere. thats not to say there are none!

- lillia had multiple siblings, some older some younger. she was in the older bracket. never was close to any of them and has some internal resentment.

- saya had some "sisters" (not by human standards) who she did not get along with.

- henundher had one older brother who was no longer in their life long before the events of NWT.

- fortuna's sister didn't get along with her, but she was none the wiser.

- if twelve had any siblings theyre long dead now.

Since it's summer time, which of your characters would go to a water park and what chaos would they unleash on the public?

more nowhere train content!

marley and saya are the type to stay on land in the shade. poor marley can't tan, she just turns red (same lol). while saya is water resistant she'd sink like a rock in water + too much water is bad for her.

lillia 100% dragged disco into the water with her. they brought a water gun to torment him with and he ends up having fun at the end of it all.

polaris would convince henundher to go in the water with him. she has no need to be in there but thinks its more fun with henundher. he also keeps convincing them to go down water slides with him. henundher is terrified but so is polaris secretly, she just feels better when henundher is there.

backenforth once worked as a lifeguard so shes actually pretty good at swimming. she challenges all the others to races and crushes them flawlessly. nobody expects someone like her to be good at it.

none of the trainmasters i think would go to waterparks willingly. jia li doesnt like chlorinated water so they'd probably skip out.

have you ever thought about what kind of chaos your characters might wreck if they had access to social media like we do?

I havent made nowhere content in a bit so i think this might suffice.

Marley: a fandom blogger, really nice and somehow always stays out of drama. Youve probably met a marley before.

Lillia: already a social media star, completely anonymous absolutely crushing it in osu or something.

Saya: Types just like this. Kind of like an older individual unsure about this social media thing. Ironically.

Disco: soundcloud rapper.

Polaris: overuses emotes like :D or :P or :3 much to the chagrin of his comrades. definitely enjoys a little bit of trolling.

Henundher: would only touch it once in a blue moon for google or something.

Backenforth: spends her time starting fights online for fun.

Min Ji: only follows her friends, ratios everyone she talks to.

Cozimo: extremely out of touch business guy trying to be marketable.

Stealer: would never have social media as it is a security risk

Helena: a mix of saya and henundher

Tybalt: Fortuna canyou come help me at the Elevator please Stop Recording I said Stop. (he has no hands)

Fortuna: facebook mom but less anti vaxx

Twelve: backenforth but worse.

Felix: genuine wholesomeness, just posts about his works. Might have a meme page.

Jia Li: has no time for social media

Archibald: runs a group chat for the trainmasters and nothing else.

Feeling like siblings since i feel aged about my youngest sibling entering PK today.

Sooooo any random facts about any of the sibling OCs you have?

would say i relate but i am the youngest sib so, yeah.

- winters was very excited to move back in with danger upon being relocated to Lunium. danger... not so much.

- sauterelle tormented poor libellule with rumors of mythical monsters such as the "blizzard wizard" or the "coach lima" when they were younger. She has since learned they ARE real and somehow worse in person.

- taijo and aether have their own special house away from zelos, but aether frequently visits to get away from... *gestures at taijo* all that. she spends most of her visits napping so you will rarely see them.

- blanca (and most of stella's family for that matter) live in another gijinka-based-town in Galar. she's been planning to move to lunium since forever since she much prefers the vibes. galar's town is more high-end, at least visually.

- prior to henundher's brother leaving. He used to be their chaperone for... everything. even when they got old enough to learn themselves he still insisted on taking them everywhere. Henundher is very out of practice on driving.

- her toyhouse page is in desperate need of an update. shes certainly humanoid but her exact species is unknown...

- bears are her favorite animals, specifically brown ones. she has a collection of bear themed stuff in her room.

- dreams of going back to school... she doesn't know what she wants to do yet. definitely not art though.

- doesn't talk much of her life before the IRC, simply because she doesn't remember. Backenforth has no qualms with this though, if it was bad enough she forgot, she's happy staying ignorant.

- big retail therapy fan. bad day? buy something! henundher cannot stand that habit of hers.

I’m not an ominous gray figure in your ask box by will, my friends just don’t need to know that I am publicly BEGGING for fun facts about Nowhere Train. Lumibing old chap I am pleading for the knowledge.

well colorful text anon, i can provide the best of my abilities! Kind of. maybe i can talk about my general thought process with nowhere train instead.

So i've been in a bit of a slump regarding it, but I think I'm finally pulling myself out. See, my Toontown fixation has refused to let me enjoy much else besides it, so a LOT of my OC projects got thrown on the backburner. Its part of the reason I fell off of the splash arts (that and general lack of motivation...). NWT was also in a bad spot of me feeling really really insecure about it.

I... know we're all going through multiverse burnout, so i became really worried about me potentially perpetuating that cycle when i didnt mean to. But I watched Cartoonshi's video about the thing and realized... oh i was just overreacting. That, and I finally got around to finalizing some much needed redesigns. The main 4 just need to be digitized and they'll be done. I wanna touch up Polaris, Henundher, Backenforth, Cozimo, and Stealer so theyre still a WIP (polaris and stealer are very close to being done though).

Coming into the new year I want to actually... do Stuff with them. Now that ive made peace with the fact Im not required to do lunium/"danganmon" content I feel much more free. Unfortunately I must reiterate they are also on the backburner compared to anything Toontown related, so it will be a slow start.

I stated a while ago Id love for it to be animated someday, which is true! But I understand that is... a long time away if it comes at all. Could we expect a comic at some point? Maybe, I've certainly honed my skills regarding the craft. I'd really prefer to start small though (even though I... have mostly worked with small one shot comics, I wanna build to something bigger, ya feel?). Whatever happens... happens I suppose.

I also want to... find meaning in the NWT cast. Various DGM incidents have lead to me feeling detached from my own characters, and I'm only like... JUST recovering from that. Its a hard balance to strike! You want to care enough that they mean something to you, but not too much that attacks against them become personal. This of course could just be because of my interests right now, but you never know.

Anyways, I think I've gone on long enough. This probably isn't what you asked for but it was kind of a vague question! No hate though, I love talking sometimes.

do you have any favorite character dynamics between your oc's?

thats a good question, theres so many that its hard to narrow it down to just a few.

- i really like polaris, henundher, and backenforth's relationship. the soul, mind, and heart of the centaurus

- i also adore the friendship between lillia and marley. theyre both so so so silly

- controversial take but the cyrus and cyrillo ugly-divorce dynamic is funny to me. they hate each other so much its unreal.... please pray for bow and wimessir as they have to listen to them hate each other all the time.

- in general if i ship two of my ocs i like the dynamic. do with that info what you will (i wanna make a chart detailing all my favorite oc ships.... would you guys wanna see that?)

- kagami and mazu. ive only mentioned them once i think? but their whole story (w/ karin) is smth i like a lot...

theres probably a lot more i'd like to explore someday, mostly with characters i havent introduced... one day i'll get there.

- for anyone wondering, unlike henundher who's hair is Apart of them: Polaris has a wig on. a very secure wig you cannot simply pull off, but a wig nonetheless.

- actually had an art career in the making prior to joining their old train company along with Henundher. he doesnt like to talk about it.

- big fan of a specific brand of coffee and ONLY that brand. cant get addicted because she doesnt work like that but damn, it gets close. he never sleeps ever.

- speaking of "work like that" both Polaris and henundher are like, toys. polaris is metallic while henundher is wooden. toys is a bit of a strong word, they are more like decorationss.

- prefers to handmake gifts instead of buying them outright. unfortunately train work makes this hard to do nowadays but it is still something he prefers.

heres a interesting question, did you create any concept/beta designs for your older oc's? how different are they from the current ones if so

guess it kinda depends on what you mean by "old".

In terms of my oldest ocs ever (that are still active) then that'd be the nowhere train guys. well, some of them. Of the main 7 only Polaris and Henundher were specifically made For Nowhere Train. everyone else was repurposed from something else. Disco is the oldest by far and he has a lot, and i mean a LOT of iterations. maybe ill go over them in full someday, but he used to be a human and a fankid of 2 even OLDER characters of mine back in like 2017/2018.

lillia and saya were both characters i used to roleplay. long time fans may remember where saya was, but lillia was in a private group i wasn't super active in. Lillia has stayed pretty consistent and this redesign was her first Major Change in years. saya of course had a massive change but it wasn't her first.

marley and backenforth were apart of a redesign challenge I did. i intended to use marley for roleplays but i fell out of them before i could. backenforth wasn't meant to do much but i decided to bring her back. marley had a missing eye originally and had 2 fathers, both were retconned.
