In early 2016, they were not talking because she was with Calvin, he his longest hair, new tattoos and had PDA with Kendall on a yacht - so... it missed 1989 by 2 years.

Timeline:

It would have been moved because she was dating Calvin Harris when she wrote it, who was also why they didn't talk:

15 January 2015 Taylor and Harry last seen together at Lily's Aldridges birthday, she was not at his birthday 2 weeks later.

27 February 2015 - Taylor starts dating Calvin Harris.

17 May 2015 - BBMAs with Tayvis PDA and Harry's heart ripped out. Taylor has regretful sounding clean speech in next show.

26 May 2015 - Calvin at vegas pool party, soon after blinds that Calvin is cheating.

22 June 2015 - Taylor tours Europe at the same time as One Direction while Calvin is in the US. Harry posts colour to IG and suggestive tweets the same week Taylor played some Haylor songs and was in the feels with Clean speeches. Taylor posts Breathe in/out (song about getting over ex) and Calvin shows up in UK.

November 2015 Harry got the tiger and eagle tattoos, fresh for:

2 January 2016 He was on a yacht with Kendall in a wild, heavily photographed PDA, complete with long hair & new tattoos.

Calvin was jealous enough of her reaction to Yachtgate that it featured in Ole.

Harry and Taylor together again February - April 29 2016, in May getaway car and she broke up with CH

Noting this post 2015 BBMAs, she had been dating Calvin for 10 months and presumably not spoken to Harry in months.

But, yeah long hair, new Eagle tattoo (icon) visible as he grabbed Kendalls foot on the side of a Megayacht. /sigh It was a different guy to the one she was dating in the Red/1989 Era. Last seen dotingly watch her get her hair cut backstage at Red and giggling as they adopted Olivia.

In Harry's defence - she had a boyfriend of 10 months. What we know now from the original Gorgeous Lyrics is that she and Calvin had not seen each other in months by February 2016 so those pictures would have stung....

At the time Calvin was incredibly jealous of Harry, as detailed in Ole, a friendship seems off the table during that relationship. .

Do you anything about the rumours of them having possibly gotten together in 2016 and 2018?

Short answer - I know very little that is verifiable. I will share what I do know/have ascertained below. I’ll also tag beloved mutual @womanexile because she has more ☕️ .

In the spring of 2016, there must have been some rumblings or feelings because d*ckhead CH picked up on it. He co-wrote Ole, then filmed this video dragging Harry for the Hendall yacht NYE.

I said in an earlier post that I *think* she might have called him when she was looking for someone to make out with on the rocks in Rhode Island after the CH breakup but he was trying not to drown in the English Channel while filming Dunkirk.

As for 2018, there is a lot of sometimes painful footage of him getting overwhelmed while singing tender love songs from HS 1, but nothing concrete. Other than this fun fact:

June 22nd at Wembley - Taylor brings out Niall Horan to sing Slow Hands. And it’s Niall, our OG Haylor. Guaranteed that Harry’s name came up, and that Taylor was alerted to what came next…

A few hours later, across the ocean at MSG, Harry brings out opener Kacey Musgraves to duet to Shania Twain’s You’re Still The One.

Niall Horan, always at the scene of the crime! In interviews last month, he mentioned that he would make it to Eras eventually. Hmmm…I wonder when, and with whom?

Hi, dear. Sure, I'll do my best! We're talking about 8 years ago... it's so crazy! I used to remember so much stuff and now it's really starting to slip away. I'm so happy we have tumblr so we can go dig some dates and events when necessary. Anyway, the bears happened simultaneously with all of these events, yes:

Rainbow Bears - From February 2015 (“officially”) to February 2016 (on Harry's birthday), and then RBB showed up again in the Little Mix concert in August 2016.

Yachtgate 1.0 - They allegedly spent the new years on the yacht and the pap pictures and articles came out in the first week of January 2016. The "hack" became public in March 2016. We call the entire situation, from the pap picture to finally the fake hack of yachtgate.

Do you genuinely believe that Hendall both in 2013 & 2016 was a PR stunt orchestrated both by Kris Jenner & Jeff Azoff?

Omg this has been sitting in my inbox and I didn’t notice. Maybe my ask box is broken because I never get message notifications anymore.

2013 — was mostly PR but I believe there were some real feelings I guess. Kendall did get upset when it ended after all. 2016 though? Nah, obviously pure PR. The biggest giveaway was them still being on good terms/friends and doing that interview together. I mean, who does that? Kendall asking on air whether any songs in his albums were written about her… if they were truly real exes, A. they wouldn’t have done the interview and B. she would have known which of these songs are about her. The whole interview was so fake and contrived.

I'm so confused with NTWDT because to me it screams 2015/16 but I'm not sure if she would include such an old song to the vault for 2014 album. But it feels like she's mocking Hendall with the yacht and everything but all this happened in 2015, so do you have any other guesses?

2016 might be pushing it, but given the fact that taylor didn’t start working on rep until september 2016, if any vault was going to go that far it’d be 1989 (also, mr perfectly fine made the fearless vault despite being written in 2009, so like, go crazy)

personally though, i think the most likely time is late summer 2013– from an artistic standpoint, it’s when taylor was writing the most for 1989, just nonstop piling up song ideas to go into the studio with in the fall. on a personal level, it seems like that was the most no contact her and harry went (until calvin)— sometime that fall they start hanging out at courtney cox’s house, i believe courtney has talked about it a few times, and iirc sometime in november she followed them both on the same day. by september harry was starting to grow his hair long— not as long as it became, but not too far off from feb 2014, when taylor wrote style. the yacht thing could also refer to harry whisking her away to the the caribbean right before they broke up (they weren’t pictured on a yacht but they also really weren’t pictured much until that blue dress on a boat moment so who knows). or yknow, harry just seems to kinda like yachts, she might’ve ended up on a few. but as for right now i have no idea, so 2015/2016 isn’t completely off the table

Hendall has happened twice already

If people genuinely believe that Harry and Kendall were ever in a real relationship I think you need to reevaluate. I think that they have been friends for years but I think it was a PR stunt. In 2013 he was with her for three months. They were seeing all over town and the second he went on tour he broke up with her. The same thing happened in 2016. The yacht photos came out they were hanging out together for a couple of weeks and it ended again. I do think it was PR but I also think that they were just hooking up. Harry would never take Kendall seriously. And this is not me hitting on Kendall(which I do) But let’s be completely honest they are way to different people. Kendall is a reality television star. That’s the whole reason why the relationship wouldn’t work. Harry is way too private to be with someone like Kendall. He likes his privacy, doesn’t really like when people know what he’s doing and prefers to keep his private life private. Kendall is someone who puts all of that on display. Even though her relationship with Devin was somewhat private because he wanted to keep things to themselves it was still out there. Kendall’s entire life is on reality television and social media. It would never work. It also isn’t the best look for his image. Him and Kendall reunited at the McCalla nothing happened. They were both single. When she was on the James Corden show when he was hosting, they were both single and nothing happened. They were hanging out in early 2020 nothing ever happened, she and him we’re hanging out at the beginning of Covid. Nothing happened. I just think that this is a great strategy to get people to forget about Olivia. Because no one‘s talking about Harriad Olivia anymore we’re all talking about Harry and Kendall. Olivia shows up at the last concert, the break up article comes out, Kendall was at the second last concert, her break up article comes out. Do I think her Kendall and Devon broke up yes do I think Kerry and Olivia’s contractual obligation came to an end yes do I think that Harry’s break up article and kennels break up article was time to come out at the same time so people would be focussing on them, yes. It was a very smart tactic from Jeff and Kris. Get them talking about a younger more relevant couple. Kendall will always be more relevant than Olivia. Harry will always be relevant. Get him connected with a younger more relevant and famous person and no one’s going to be talking about the mess that Olivia Wilde made. Very smart from Jeff. And if you think Kerry and Kendall wherever real and could get back together. If Kendall couldn’t handle being away from her boyfriend who lived in Arizona(which is an hour and a half flight away) Who constantly travelled around the US why would she date a guy who lives in the UK full-time and is constantly travelling around the world. Harry, Liam and Niall signed their solo record deals within weeks of each other (in June, July and Sep 2016 respectively). /// Sorry what? Harry signed his new contract NYE 2015/16. That's what the whole yacht trip was for. You might remember the Hendall Yacht pictures? That was the launch of Solo Harry and he certainly did not tell the other members that he was planing on signing a $80m deal for 3 albums 2 weeks after 1Ds last performance.

Sure, Kendall has a lot of bad press on her and her family, but Holivia was the lowest of Harry’s career in terms of image and bad press, imo. You can’t get worse than that.

Yep! Also Kendall may be an attention seeker aswell but the times she was with Harry she never behaved the way Olivia behaved in the last two years. Kendall didn't do unecessary pap walks near his house dressed in his merch from head to toe or invade his privacy. She didn't attend 38833929939383993 shows dancing like a maniac like Olivia did. Yes Kendall has done a few things here and there but not to the extent of what Olivia did. Hendall only lasted like a maximum of two months in 2013 and then a few days during yatchgate in 2016 but he looked more comfortable with Kendall than he ever did with his most "serious ex" and the "woman he apparantly saw a future with" as shippers claimed. Literally the majority of the fandom were celebrating when the circus show ended which explains how bad she was for Harry's image like you said. Even the GP were calling him out for "dating" a person like her. Olivia was like an annoying fly that wouldn't leave and we all had to tolerate her bullshit. And the worse thing is she didn't even love Harry or care about him. As a fan of Harry's who has loved him for 12 years all I want for him is to find someone who loves him. Olivia didn't love him. She loved the attention she got by pretending to date him and that pissed me off. But it's fine she got her 15 minutes of fame and she's gone back to being irrelevant. Funny how as soon as the circus show ended there is no pap pics of her in his merch holding a starbucks coffee. I thought she was an A list actress so I wonder what happened all of a sudden 🤔

But yes you're right Olivia was bad for Harry's career. Look at how many times he got called out in the last two years than he did in his entire career. And it's all down to that woman. And yes Harry is to be blamed for it aswell for agreeing to clown around with her but my point is Olivia was the worst person he stunted with hence why she was the worst person to be associated with and I do hope he doesn't make the same mistake again in the future. I do hope he has learnt his lesson.

It’s easy to understand why it sounded like a good idea to link Kendall to Harry in 2013. He was in the biggest boyband of the world, being mentioned everywhere, winning tons of money and being chased by every single paparazzi in the world. She was starting her modeling career, so it helped. Now, she comes from a famous family, she already had a name, sure. That’s why you never saw any desperate moves. She didn’t need it. And she has smart people behind her as well. Hendall was never as chaotic as Holivia was. Neither of his rs were. Harry was called a homewrecker, a cheater, someone with mommy issues, was in between multiple love triangules, all of this at 28 years old, not 19. It was bad, really bad. At the peak of his career, it was scandal after scandal. And she did every thing to make it worse. Kendall knows how to proceed because her mom would never allow her to look desperate. Not that she needs it now but you get my point. Either way, the lesson was learned and he seems to be glowing more and more everyday. Good for him! 💛

What are your thoughts on haylor meeting up in late 2016? Do you think there was a slight chance of them getting back together, and do you think they would've made it if they did get back together? I know Taylor chose the safest option, but Harrry and her didn't even seem to talk things out, so why even meet in the first place? Didn't Taylor tell him she loves someone else, too? It's so confusing...

I think they did, there are enough crumbs to give it plausible and they both spent November and December in LA and London respectively. But this is in the same time the Joe stuff was starting so who knows.

the canon is Taylor met Joe at the Met, dated Tom, broke up and in October 2016 went to Joe's premiere and started dating him. Although Joe was not in the same country as Taylor for most of that time. In May 2017 they went public and were seen 20 times before Reputation came out in November, it was super public.

An alternate timeline is that after Hendall and Hiddleswift both ended within a month and before Joe/Taylor and Harry/Tess Ward went public within a week the haylor sightings, being in the same city, songs, gifts, blind items, edited videos and friend comments were because they were secretly dating again.

28 September - Taylor with Cara, Harry MIA, released Another Man covers/mixtape, Joe London.

October - Harry was in Jamaica recording HS1. Joe in London on 3rd. On 13th Joe and Taylor at Bowery enter separately. Joe is in NY for the Billy Lynn Long Halftime Walk promo tour so unlikely to have ample days ahead in NY given the films budget.

11 October - Taylor went to Joe's movie screening and the Rep book has a 19 November polaroid captioned "how would you feel about having a song written about you?"

3 November - Both are in LA for November with HS1 recorded.

25 November - Harry was seen in LA then disappeared for a week. Taylor posted a lot of photos of friendsgiving in RI. Joe not there. Taylor posted photos so would only show who was public.

28 November - is the first clue things may have been back on in a few months (apart from having both been in LA). Gemma (Harry's sister), Lou Teasdale (Harry's close friend & 1D stylist), Sam Campbell (Lou's sister and friend of Harry, married to one of Harry's friends too) go to Karaoke and post lyrics to WANGBT and Sam captions it "talk to my friends". 👀

Haylor Secrets posts that they are together, which.. that account may be totally fake, or making it up, but had been right about stuff

December - Both in London, IDWLF released, Taylor has a birthday party at her London House the Rep magazine photos are in, Harry MIA but in London. On 28 December there was an unconfirmed sighting of them together and Taylor gave Austin a record signed by friends of Harry's. He thanked them and the band commented that it was signed for 'a friends little brother' who turned out to be Taylor Swift.' Harry knew them for years and Sam Campbell commented 'LOL'

31 December - in 2020 7 photos of Taylor & Joe getting ready in her London house leaked with this date given. Why only 7? The date of the New Years Eve jumping into an icy pool story Taylor Nation edited out. If the story was about Joe why would it be edited out?

3 January 2017 - Lover journal that Taylor has been with someone for 3 months, no one has found out and she is living in London. It had been 3.1 months since the Hendall break up and 2.5 months since Joe got to NY. .....

7 January - Harry records Lately where he sings 'I don't believe what you're saying to me, "that I love him"'

13 January - Taylor records DWOHT and the IDWLF music video.

1 February - Harry's birthday, the rose ring appears. Taylor is in NY/Nashville, Harry NY/London and Joe in London.

April - Harry's Rolling Stone interview where he leaves the table when Taylor is brought up and says he wants to tip is hat to her about 1989, and give his whole cap to the muse of HS1, now over.

7 May - Harry seen with Tess Ward, the first time he has been seen with anyone since having dinner with Kendall in September.

16 May - a week later The Sun reports Joe and Taylor dating 'for months'. First time Taylor seen with anyone romantically since August

PLEASE!!!! I’ve been here since 2012. I was here and online the day we got those pathetic ass pics of harry signing a contract on that yacht. One of the most pathetic thing, EVER!!!! Larries were focused on the hendall pics instead of opening their eyes and realize that the asshole was signing a solo contract in everyone’s face. Then in feb 2016 the first article about him acting in his first movie were released and once again larries were like “Nah. He’s not going to be an actor. This is fake!” They didn’t believe that harry was going solo and already had a solo album in the works. They didn’t Believe that harry was about to act in his first movie. Thanks for responding and i just googled about yacht gate 1.. I've seen harry and Kendall yacht pics before just in the passing, a couple of them but never felt like digging into it.. Fandom survived THAT????? Can you please let me know what was HL timeline looked like during that or you can share tags..?

I think you’d have to look through my HENDALL tag. And maybe I have a bit in YACHTGATE. 2016 was an insane year and TBH Yachtgate really was the least of it. Freddie was “born”, Danielle was everywhere, Briana was everywhere, Louis was papped incessantly with the baby/doll, Jay got sick (although we didn’t know until she passed at the end of that year), yet Louis was was endlessly being papped with Danielle or Freddie in America.

My tags from back then aren’t very consistent and are probably broken up into a million categories. You can look through my BABYGATE tags but maybe check with people like @daisiesonafield-blog @skepticalarrie @louisshomesharry they all have much more organized timeline tags. I hope that helps!

Zayn leaving, people mag exclusive Louis being a dad, Briana getting papped at 1d's concerts, then Danielle coming, the baby being born, Louis getting Papped everyday, yachtgate plus Hendall 2.0, Louis taking Danielle's top off, louis+danielle +baby = briana's you'll never be my baby sons mother lmaoo then personal tragedies for Louis. It was a loooot of pap pics everyday all around the world so Holivia is still on level 3 on my stuntmeter. As long as bg exist everything is on level 3.
