Help Us Help More Kids!

With less than two months until the 100-Acre Challenge, we are hoping to encourage all participants of this annual event to participate in a brand new challenge.  On Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 the 100-Acre Challenge takes place in the 100-Acre Wood in Intervale, NH and we are hoping for it to be the biggest, toughest, dirtiest & highest fundraising challenge to date! All net proceeds of this event in the past have gone towards our literacy programs as a whole.  This year all of the proceeds are going directly to our biggest, most expensive literacy program, our “Books in Character” Outreach Program.  Through this program, Believe in Books Literacy Foundation travels to over 60 pre-school classrooms to read a story, bring a storybook character to visit with, and to give a brand new books to each and every child!  We give out over 15,000 new books throughout the school year with this program. As the popularity of the “Books in Character” program grows, so does the cost.  To raise more funds for the upcoming school year and to expand to new schools in new towns, we are looking to raise an additional $15,000 through the crazy, intense, and fun 100-Acre Challenge. How can we do this? That’s where you come in!  Sign up as an individual, team of 2, 3, or 4, and then create your fundraising page.  Share with your family and friends and ask for them to help you help us get more books into the hearts and homes of even more children this coming school year!  If each participant raises only $100, we can easily reach our goal! Not only do you get to compete in this fun, crazy, dirty obstacle adventure, but winners of the challenge, as well as the highest fundraisers, will receive some truly impressive prizes.  All prizes were donated from local businesses that support our mission and believe in the power of literacy.  Prizes include ski passes to a few awesome resorts, gift cards to some yummy restaurants, and admissions to some of the greatest attractions that the North Country and the Mt. Washington Valley have to offer.  Participants who raise $100 or more will automatically receive a “sweet” gift for their efforts.  The highest fundraiser in each division, individual and teams, will receive some of the greatest prizes we have ever been able to give away! The 100-Acre Challenge is an event for every one of all ages!  There will be food trucks, live entertainment, and Home Depot will be on site with children’s crafts!  For anyone over the age of 21, there will be beer available by donation!  Registration opens at 8 am and fundraising will be open until the start of the last heat of races.  Register and then create your own fundraising page! Share with your family and friends to help us help more kids!
