Hello everyone! I don't usually join in with these kinds of things, because with these things, there are a couple of doubts that come along with it. BUT considering I am currently in a culture class at uni i have decided to join in and have a go! I’m trying to raise money for my friend Emma. She’s a great person, but for the last few years she’s had a few problems. Right now she’s a single mother, she’s living in an area where jobs are hard to come by, where she doesn’t have a great sense of community. The stress of it all is immense and I’d like to try and help her get a fresh start. This money would go towards her relocating to a better area, where she can find a job, a community, and where I can be nearby to help her when I can. Help Save Holly the Labrador Retriever.

Holly is is the most affectionate, loving companion imaginable. Her beauty radiates inside and out and has been so from the day we rescued her at 9 months old.

We had recently noticed that she had been experiencing trouble walking and developed a limp. As she is only 4 years old we expected a sprain or perhaps something similar but instead were faced with something much worse.

Holly was diagnosed with multiple issues, the first of which being double hip and elbow dysplasia. Dysplasia even in its singular form is a tremendous diagnosis, so to hear that it was in multiple areas was devastating. To make matters worse, Holly was also diagnosed with arthritis and tendinitis in both her hips and elbows.

The severity and volume of her conditions are mirrored in the price of her treatment. Holly will need a total of four surgeries, each costing around £3’000. We have been able to cover the cost of one surgery thanks to insurance but unfortunately there is nothing more that can be covered. This leaves us with an extremely difficult situation of trying our best to save our lovely girl.

Her quality of life is so important to us. We just want her to be health again. To see her in such discomfort is heart breaking and even more so knowing that there is nothing more we can do to help her without the proper funding. It would mean the absolute world if we were able to save her.

Hey guys. Okay so my best friend is having a fundraiser for a project at school. Now she needs help to spread the word and also to raise money. The fundraiser is for Calingcaguing Elementary School in Barugo, Philippines. Since Hurricane Yolanda hit, one of their classrooms has been badly damaged and is need of repair. The kids that go to the school come from poor families and spend their time in that classroom. They rely on the feeding director, Mylynn Avila Adizas, to provide meals for them. The windows have been completely broken and are using spare pieces of metal as a substitute. The ceiling is cracked so when it rains it leaks into the room. Termites are also within the walls of the room. On top of all of this, they don't have air conditioning. Please help my friend with this fundraiser. You don't even have to donate, just help spread the word about this. Normally this is something I would not do. Even now I am struggling with feeling bad for opening a Gofundme for myself but I feel I absolutely have no choice in this matter. You can read my story on the link below. Long story short: I can’t drive, live in a depressing home, and cannot find work anywhere, and can’t afford college. Right now I am struggling severely with depression and anxiety. Tuition for a bachelors degree is 40k.
