Back with doodling more Misterican OCs because Kai wanted one but has not the patience to draw, so here I am doing it for them.
This is Helmi Joki || Pearl River (Hell-me YO-key) Joki is the child of Piipsa Hopea Sumu and a highly respected member of Misterica's Church. They don't always agree with the practices of the Church concerning the Child of White and have had more than one argument with their father about it.
Joki is 7 years older than Pilvi.

members of house helmi in da:o
lady helmi, the outspoken older woman who is willing to tell the king’s favourite child to their face that they’re a fool and their mother would “melt the stone” if she knew how they just let themself get played. assuming she is adal’s mother (see below), she supports bhelen
lord denek helmi, the self-described youngest and most outspoken deshyr of the assembly, who disappoints his esteemed mother—presumably lady helmi—by spending time in tapster’s, complaining about the caste system and how all the lords are “well-dressed, blood-sucking cave ticks”. he has a deal on with harrowmont for land, but is unbothered by breaking it when the warden arrives with bhelen’s “proof” of double-dealing
adal helmi, who defies tradition to enter the provings as a woman, and considers a female aeducan an inspiration. she prefers harrowmont, but defers to her mother’s vote for bhelen
jaylia helmi, who we don’t meet but we know was being courted as the intended bride and queen of trian
nerav helmi, who was considered to marry a male aeducan—“after all, under different circumstances, we might have been married”—even though trian was courting jaylia?? talk about house aeducan putting all their eggs in one basket. anyway she refers to herself as “third daughter of the second matron of house helmi”, perhaps implying she is not lady helmi’s daughter, assuming lady helmi, who represents her house at major events, is whatever “first matron” is. nerav also implies jaylia is her sister by saying to a female aeducan that they would have been sisters-in-law under other circumstances. nerav openly despises “that monster, bhelen” and supports harrowmont
this is for my own reference but also so everyone understands my house helmi playing all sides so they always win jokes.
it’s also worth saying that there is ANOTHER set of helmi girls on the surface as part of the merchants’ guild, because in the legacy dlc hawke can say in banter with varric that “i heard you’re being fixed up with one of the helmi daughters”, to which varric mentions “dusana helmi is easy on the eyes. also, she’s tried to kill me five times this year”. they’re everywhere
#house helmi#what do i tag this with. dwarf stuff?#actually i’ll put it in my#hall of fame tag#which should be more accurately named ‘stuff i dont want to lose’#and will never remember to check there for

ramble abt your abraxas au? it looks so cool!!!!!!!
I'm gonna take this as an opportunity to talk abt helming in this au because i have put an absurd amount of thought into something that could easily just be breezed over
this is gonna be long so
quick warning for taking abt helming and stuff !!! so i guess mild body horror discussion? i dont think theres anything specifically in this that is. like bad? but if that sort of thing makes you uncomfortable thats mainly what this is abt!!!
(side note if this makes no fucking sense please feel free to execute me in the street xoxxo (side note side note there are a lot of different elements from different aus and fics that i've consumed so if you recognize anything thats probably why))
i went a little bit into it on @the-starship-abraxas (please go check out my blog for this au and send asks spspspsps cmon guys) already
SOLLUX: oh, that2 my port2. ii can plug iinto the 2hiip. SOLLUX: they're mo2tly along my 2piine. SOLLUX: equiiu2 iin2talled them whiile we were 2tiil on world, and he upkeep2 them. SOLLUX: human-troll technology make2 tradiitiional helmiing and piilotiing faiirly ob2olete, 2o a lot of 2hiip2 have helm2 whiich the helm2man can detatch from. SOLLUX: ii plug iin and 2ort of become one wiith the 2hiip. SOLLUX: iit2 really fuckiing cool.
so, the ports!
as stated before, a helmsman's ports are primarily along their spine because the biowires connect to their spinal cord and basically hijack the signals from their brains. Biowires work the same as any other wall plug or cord except they're alive and have nerves and interpret brain signals and plug into a person's body. Fun times!
the way "traditional helming" would work is goldblood psionics would be assigned ability levels depending on how strong their psionics were and depending on that they would be assigned to ships. the stronger the psionic the larger the ship, since traditionally they would just. straight up throw it with their mind.
after the colonization of earth and the introduction of actual technology into alternia's biotech, what the pilot could actually do in a ship expanded a lot. Since the psionic could become aware of the ship from not only a physical sense but a significantly more mechanical sense, pilots were given the responsibility of both moving the ship as well as being aware of damage, communications, and other such things.
most psionic ports and helms have psionic stoppers which cap off the amount of energy that the psionic can sort of put out into the ship (The abraxas does not have these because Sollux has the equivalent of several programs running in the background at all times and they would short out every time.) so as to not pop helmsman like a mustard packet.
when is comes to the actual helmscolumn I don't have any art but I do have a blurb from my abraxas drabbles (I swear I'm going to start the actual fic someday)
The helmsblock was a decently large room, with various technology and computers built into the walls. The centerpiece though was, of course, the helmscolumn. Pilot technology had come a long way from just strapping up psionics to ships and having them hurl themselves across space, and nothing showed that change quite like what the pilots were strung up into. At the roof and floor were two circular fuschia platforms, mirroring each other and curving inwards. In some places surrounding the platforms similarly colored bio wires hung, tucked away, unused, and, if you looked close enough, almost writhing against each other. In front of the column you could see two small control panels, intended for the pilot to be able to use as they flew.
the column itself/some of the design details may change as time eternally marches on but for the most part the helmscolumn is meant to be technologically up to date and safe, yes, but it's also meant to be incredibly showy. While piloting has come pretty far, helmsman are still often shown off or seen as ship accessories.
even though its not like. a rights violation to have a poorly taken care of pilot. its still generally frowned upon. just cause things are better doesnt mean they're good!
(also while it is common practice for pilots to be able to disengage from the helm it's not uncommon for ships to have fullhelms.)
I hope this ramble was to your liking !! i have. just so much shit for this universe.

Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts Ambient Dialogue
Orzammar Embassy
Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts Masterpost
—
Merchant 1: How are the talks proceeding? Ambassador: They remind me of the Assembly of Orzammar. Merchant 3: They can’t be that bad! —
—
Ambassador: The reports from the Minrathous Ambassadoria are particularly disturbing. Merchant 3: Where are they getting it from? [red lyrium???] Merchant 1: More importantly, who is selling it? The Carta?
—
Merchant 2: You must admit, the work done in Cumberland is revolutionary. Ambassador: I have yet to see the device, but the ambassador to Nevarra will talk of nothing else.
—
Ambassador: Your investments seem to be paying off. Merchant 3: War encourages armies to borrow coin. No one wants to lose their country because they were afraid of interest rates.
—
Ambassador: How has the lyrium trade dropped off so sharply? Merchant 2: With so much fighting, demand should be higher than ever. Merchant 3: My contacts said there’s a new supplier, but we can’t track down who it might be.
—
Merchant 2: Is there any progress on the Helmi expedition to Amgarrak? Ambassador: House Dace remains steadfast in blocking all attempts to get into the thaig.
—
Merchant 2: Is it true the Assembly is considering naming another Paragon? Three in a single generation… Ambassador: Her name has been submitted, but it will take years before they come to a decision. A surface smith? Unlikely.
—
Ambassador: Emissaries to Kal-Sharok have yet to return. I doubt we’ll find them alive. Merchant 1 (Harrowmont is King): I thought Orzammar refused and official recognition of Kal-Sharok. Ambassador: The king knows nothing of this. The Merchant Guild sent the emissaries. Merchant 3 (Bhelen is King): So Bhelen decided to reach out to them, after all? Ambassador: Not directly. The emissaries came from the Merchant Guild, but the expedition was financed by the king.
—
Merchant 1: Who does Orzammar favour in the negotiations tonight? Ambassador (Harrowmont is King): His Majesty King Harrowmont has made considerable coin supplying the grand duke’s army with dwarven steel. Ambassador (Bhelen is King): King Aeducan has put considerable coin behind the empress in hopes that trade in foodstuffs will resume quickly.
—
Merchant 3: How long can Orzammar hold out with trade disrupted? Ambassador (Harrowmont is King): Not long. The last dispatch said they were rioting in the Diamond Quarter over food shortages. Ambassador (Bhelen is King): We have reserves of food supplies to last a few months. But the king wants trade resumed before panic starts.
—
If Warden Brosca survived killing the Archdemon: Merchant 2: Has there been any news of Paragon Brosca? Merchant 1: Not a whisper. We could use the guidance of a Paragon about now.
Merchant 2: I heard the statue of Paragon Brosca has finally be unveiled to the public. Ambassador (Harrowmont is King): Yes. King Harrowmont is quite proud of it. Not every king gets to add to the Hall of Heroes. Ambassador (Bhelen is King): It stands in front of the palace. King Bhelen wants all of Orzammar to venerate his wife’s noble house.
—
If Warden Aeducan survived killing the Archdemon: Merchant 2: Has there been any news of Paragon Aeducan? Ambassador (Harrowmont is King): No. King Harrowmont has been forced to declare the Paragon dead. Ambassador (Bhelen is King): Not in months. The assembly insists on declaring the Paragon dead, but King Bhelen refuses to give up the search.
Merchant 2: Is the statue of Paragon Aeducan as grand as they say? Ambassador (Harrowmont is King): It’s a little… small. Several deshyrs have accused King Harrowmont of cutting costs. Ambassador (Bhelen is King): More grand, probably. King Bhelen spared no expense. It is a second Paragon in his own house, after all.
—
If Warden sided with Branka: Merchant 2: Any news of Paragon Branka? Ambassador: Not since the king cut off her supply of casteless. Ghastly business.

03.10. My Lule. Oh, here's your Ekata.
You were crying, I heard, which is quite unlike you. At least I think you were crying. You're always at the door here, talking to me. You were always so interesting to me, Lucjan, when we were children! You never cried very much, unlike the little ones in this house, namely the youngest girl, Helmi. What a sensitive child indeed. You never did smile either really, did you? And I was your opposite - as if my heart were on the outside! Constantly throwing fits over the littlest things. A tempest Bojana called me (though we called her Janica, remember? Oh, how she disliked it. She much preferred her regular name, Bojana-Leptirica. But I think it's nice, and matches us, Lule and Ekata and Janica. Imagine if you were a Lulica instead! Really). I was quite irascible, I think that's the word, but I'm what she would call "softer" now, certainly. Two enneae and a bit I've lived, and it's certainly made me more reasonable. Though it's not very much, is it? How old is our Janica? She must be hardly seventy, still young as we are. I do think you ought to come in sometime if you cry so. Lord Ruusu may be so kind as to open his doors to welcome you, Lucjan, the brother of his Katariina. I never liked that much and I'd rather the family called me my name Ekaterina, or Ekata, as you do. But you never refuse the name they give you, as it's a good name, and it's very distinguished and proper. Maybe they'll name you something as well. Something like Luukas. I'd like Luukas. And we'd be Katariina and Luukas, certainly, what a thing that is! - Your Ekata

I'd love to hear about Helmi and Rico's relationship 💖
Thanks for the ask!
Firstly, since I've not gone fully into anything about Rico just yet, let me start with a little on him. He owns the Salty Collier tavern, which is one of the places to drink in Overlook. It used to be owned by his brother, but Rico inherited it when his brother died. He took on the tavern as well as the completely above board business that he just happens to not talk anyone about unless they already know about it. Rico knows a lot of people, and he cares a lot about those close to him. While he was travelling back to Falguard Watch with a new shipment of ale, he had to drop a few kegs to be able to get a half-Brymir woman onto the cart, but the bigger problem was actually lifting her on. Although he was in his early thirties, and she in her mid-late teens, she was already bigger than him.
Rico helped Helmi recover, but there were things that he couldn't help fix up for her: She'd eaten the meat of a creature that had permanently damaged her sense of taste, and she'd been disowned by her mother because she hadn't been able to kill as easily as a Brymir warrior should be expected to. It was clear to Rico that Helmi wasn't cut out to be a warrior at all, and in the absense of a parental figure, he decided to try to help guide her and fill that role for her. He helped her iron out her language, and taught her more about Veilan culture. He would tell her stories, such as the creation story of the Celestial Sister Queens, and the heroic tales of the Patron Martyrs. In return, she ended up teaching him quite a bit about Brymir culture, as much as her mother had taught her, at least. As time passed and she grew under his care, he started to see her as his own daughter.
Unfortunately, Helmi was a child of the Brymir Invasion less than 20 years prior, and scars of this are still fresh, especially in the hearts of the people. Rico would always stand up for Helmi against this prejudice, and did her best to reassure her and help her through it. When she started helping at the Salty Collier, he lost a lot of custom from people who said that Brymir people are savage and violent. Helmi always felt awful for these conflicts, but Rico would always say he didn't want or need the custom of someone who would insult his daughter like that. Although he could protect her within the tavern, she always felt out of place around town, and he couldn't always look out for her. She was always getting looks, people stepping away from her. So, she started spending less time around people she didn't trust, which was unfortunately, most people. In a stroke of seeming genius, she thought to go to the mine around the hill, where she could put her natural strength to use, help out her dad (since it was a salt mine, and salt was always desired, even by Rico himself), and also keep herself away from strangers. Rico was naturally concerned about this, but he trusted her to take care of herself, and knew her natural fortitude would keep her safe.
Cutting forward, Helmi starts to be more independent, but keeps helping out around the Salty Collier when she can, and especially during The Shroud (Full moons, the sun doesn't rise, otherworldly creatures come through, people take shelter). She gets more comfortable around people as they get more comfortable around her, coming to see her as a reassuring safety figure as she helps protect the tavern during The Shroud. Otherwise though, she starts living at a cabin by the mine, much to Rico's disappointment (though she's not far, its probably about a 10 minute walk - the tavern is called The Salty Collier because it originally catered for the people who used to work at the salt mine.) She never stops depending on Rico though, and when anything comes up, she will always go to him straight away to ask for his advice. Such as she did when she found a comatose knight Sofia during a foray into the mines. Skipping forward a bit, she becomes close friends with Sofia, who had somehow missed the last 40 years and therefore had no predisposition about Brymir people - but this isn't about those two. However, Rico's always looking out for his daughter, even when she's apart, and as soon as it becomes evident that Sofia will be sticking around in her life, he starts to keep an eye out for her as well, to make sure Helmi's life remains as stable as possible. He wants to make sure, now that she's happy, cheerful, and outgoing, that he'll never have to see her broken like when he found her.
Hope that puts a bit more light on their relationship for you! I've not really had to describe relationships between characters like this before, so hopefully its what you were hoping for!

Many thoughts on Pahanhautoja (Hatching)
Gonna put it behind a read more because this may get long, unfiltered, and full of spoilers. Enjoy!
So as may be clear, I'm still thinking about this movie lol. It's not Amazing per se but oof does it touch on things and keep you guessing at meanings even if the central theme of the movie is pretty clear.
Pahanhautoja is about spectacle/exploitation culture in the way that f.e. Nope isn't.
It doesn't have Big Moments, but it does show the strain of everyone working behind the scenes. "Capturing real authentic moments", taking pictures that are framed just right, for the irony to create a "perfect everyday life".
The Mother stands central in this. Arguably, it's all her idea, dream, and ambition. The Father even notes (though in the context of the scene, it's about something else) that he lets her do whatever she likes because she is so certain of things. Why he stays is a mystery. Perhaps the money, as he has bought a new guitar in the early bits of the film. But they sleep separately, he and Matias are clearly coordinated to look the same (hair, glasses, blouse), and he does not seem to have any input or agency whatsoever.
And here comes a tricky bit, because taking on Father's point you could read this as a horror movie where "women in power are evil". It isn't. Father is sympathetic because he isn't able to be himself. BUT he also doesn't stand up for his kids.
And yes, Mother is very unsympathetic. First and foremost she also is not a true parental figure. Like with Father, that is just a title that works well with the blog she has going. It's not something she truly puts into practice.
Some posts here have cited/posted the one-on-one scene with Tilja about Mother having fallen in love again as something that should be read as something creating sympathy for her.
(For context, it's this scene)
You Could read this as base-level, second-wave feminism "Women should not just live to please their husband". And while those are valid points to make in other contexts, maybe take a look at who the main character is in this film?
Mother takes Tilja aside and talks about finding love again and you can see from Tilja that she thinks Mother is talking about Father until Tero is mentioned by name. Her smile literally drops.
And before this, she has already caught her mom with Tero. Then it was wafted off as "adults have special friends" as a thin cover-up. But here Mother does not even stop to make her case and explain it to Tilja as best as she can. She just takes Tilja's acceptance of the situation for granted, just like Father would. Parallel to that is the "business weekends" that casually turn into weekends at Tero's. She could have created this situation at home maybe if the blog was put on a back-burner, but that is not the case. And as soon as they get to Tero's, the house is already being shaped into Mother's image.
And don't get me wrong: Tero is a good guy by all means!
He's more of a dad to Tilja than Father is, he tries to go against Mother, and even wants to help Tilja overcome her urge to achieve perfectionism for her mother's sake. And understandably, he is upset when Helmi has been put in danger!! But the only thing that Mother has to say to Tilja as they drive back home is
Tilja sprained her wrist here, lost a competition she worked so hard for, and has to pack up and leave with her mom for a second time, and all Mother has to say is that. Mother is complicated, surely, but by no means is someone you're supposed to sympathize with.
And Tilja!! Tilja just wants to be loved on her own terms and not for what her mother wants from her. It is frustrating, it seems fruitless, yet there is just enough little bits to keep her going for this goal.
When the bird flies through the window Tilja wants to put it back outside because it isn't harmed, but Mother simply kills it in front of her daughter's eyes and asks her to put it in the trash (but, sweetie, the biodegradable one). Tilja has fun at gymnastics, even if she's not as good as Reeta. And it is clear that she could have had more fun here, as well as made some friends if her mother didn't isolate her for the sake of fame and a viral moment.
What is so endearing is that once Alli comes into the picture, Tilja is able to give it/her(?) the love she would want herself even if she had never received it. And, let's be honest, Alli at first is not a very loveable creature.
The theme of puberty is inherent to Alli. Tilja is 12-ish and has to dress in frilly dresses and does gymnastics (a sport that is known for demanding parents/coaches, but also for keeping the ones doing it physically as childlike as possible for advantages). Mother wants to keep her young but the reality is that that will change. Pair that with a stranger's baby becoming more important than her own daughter, and you got a theme.
Alli goes from capital M Monster to a near-indistinguishable image of Tilja (this does make for some funny scenes where people mistake this obviously feral child for prim and proper Tilja).
I know that one time in sex-ed when we had talked about puberty (I was around 11/12), I got home and cried to my mom because I could not think about ever fighting with her. But I did.
Alli starts out as an abstract thing that Tilja fears but comes to care for. It is impulsive, at times over-excessive, but that is exactly what pubescent teens are like! Tilja and Alli are connected so closely yet act as separate beings (cue to moments of "why did I ever do/say that?").
When Mother stabs Tilja and Alli rises in her place, it is the only time we see Mother crying. In the context of the film, it may be because she lost her "real" daughter and is left with this "monster", even if they look identical.
Ultimately, it's about her child growing out of her control.
#pahanhautoja#hatching#long post#did end up quite structured if I say so myself#horror film#film analysis#spoilers!!!#be careful!!!!

I just realize something, Helmi is drawn with Laistrygon, she's definitly seen alot with Marquis much to Helmi's fun or dismay.
So I have to wonder, how would the interaction between Helmi and Antiphate look like ?And how would the two react given their relations and or involvement with Antiphate?
Oh yeah, I definitely draw Helmi with the two because they have a history, like, I used to draw all of them a lot back in 2008 when I was really into them, haha. So I guess currently there's a bit of a second renaissance going on with 'em!
As for Antiphates, they're new in several senses of the word...
Helmi would probably be taken aback by Antiphates's height and extra limbs, but after they talk it out she's probably more at ease in their presence.
Helmi: Wow! It's hard to believe you're related to Laistrygon! Antiphates: *laughs* It... really is, isn't it...?

Get to know your writer game: Black, Brown and Gold
Black: Would you want to live in one of the fictional worlds you’ve created?
A few! Helmi, most notably, the continent in my high fantasy Bloodlines, which is just absolutely beautiful. I'd be content as either a Gelkin or a skin-changer, in either of their cultures. But I'd also live in the world of the Veridian found in In the Deep of the Trees; an unending forest of colossal trees above trenches scored deep in the earth that form a deciduous oceanic zone. The last place (so far), would be Woltra, a nocturnal fertile moon in Star White, which is Daemyung's home.
Brown: Do you have a set writing space? Or do you write everywhere?
Anyyyywhere really, though lately it's been at my local coffee bookshop and curled up at home. I'd like a desk someday, but that's in the future.
Gold: Do your stories usually contain lessons or morals?
I was actually just talking about this in discord last night; I never ever set out writing a story with a message or moral lesson in mind. Maybe something will develop, a common theme, but I'm never there to speak or teach with my writing, only to convey a series of events that has happened somewhere somehow elsewhere and that I happen to be privy to through the workings of the universe. What you take away from it is entirely upon you.

Karel Kryl - Anděl English translation
Original lyrics:
Anděl
Z rozmlácenýho kostela
V krabici s kusem mýdla
Přinesl jsem si anděla
Polámali mu křídla
Díval se na mě oddaně
Já měl jsem trochu trému
Tak vtiskl jsem mu do dlaně
Lahvičku od parfému
A proto prosím, věř mi
Chtěl jsem ho žádat
Aby mi mezi dveřmi
Pomohl hádat
Co mě čeká
A nemine
Co mě čeká
A nemine
Pak hlídali jsme oblohu, pozorujíce ptáky
Debatujíce o Bohu a hraní na vojáky
Do tváře jsem mu neviděl, pokoušel se ji schovat
To asi ptákům záviděl, že mohou poletovat
A proto prosím, věř mi
Chtěl jsem ho žádat
Aby mi mezi dveřmi
Pomohl hádat
Co mě čeká
A nemine
Co mě čeká
A nemine
Když novinky mi sděloval u okna do ložnice
Já křídla jsem mu ukoval z mosazný nábojnice
A tak jsem pozbyl anděla, on oknem odletěl mi
Však přítel prý mi udělá novýho z mojí helmy
A proto prosím, věř mi
Chtěl jsem ho žádat
Aby mi mezi dveřmi
Pomohl hádat
Co mě čeká
A nemine
Co mě čeká
A nemine
Translation:
Angel
From a broken down church
In a box with a piece of soap
I carried home an angel
They tore his wings apart
He looked at me devotedly
I was a bit nervous
So in his hands I put
A bottle of perfume
So please believe me
I wanted to ask him
If he could, between the door
Help me guess
What awaits me
And what I can't avoid
What awaits me
And what I can't avoid
We gazed at the sky and the birds
Talking about god and playing soldiers
I didn't see his face
He was hiding it
Maybe he was just jealous of the birds because they can fly
So please believe me
I wanted to ask him
If he could, between the door
Help me guess
What awaits me
And what I can't avoid
What awaits me
And what I can't avoid
When he was telling me the news through my bedroom window
I crafted him a pair of brass wings
And that's how I lost my angel, he flew out the window
But my friend says he'll make an another one from my helmet
So please believe me
I wanted to ask him
If he could, between the door
Help me guess
What awaits me
And what I can't avoid
What awaits me
And what I can't avoid
Notes:
1. This isn't a direct translation, the point stays the same but I changed a few words so that it doesn't sound THAT bad if sung with the song
2. This song is by a Czechoslovakian anti-socialist activist. Simply-put; It's about how he got his religion stolen by the regime.

Something I've been thinking about today(and in the past too lol)
_____
Not too long after Nora and the kids move to the Pearl Clan settlement and officially become members, Ingo starts slipping back into his workaholic nature again and inadvertently stays away from home for long periods of time with his warden duties
Nora's nerves and anxiety make them think he's staying away because of them and that he doesn't want them around anymore. They unfortunately keep it in because they want to keep a happy façade in front of the twins, but one night it finally boils over and Nora accuses him of intentionally staying away so long
It devolves into a very loud yelling match with Ingo defending his duties as a warden and Nora fighting back that he's not just a lone warden anymore and has a family at home that needs him just as much. Both are so heated and stubborn on their stances that they don't give themselves the chance to cool down and actually talk it out, and instead it ends with Ingo storming out and Nora left frustrated and crying
When Ingo isn't back by morning and isn't anywhere in the settlement Nora starts to panic because what if something happens to him in the wild, what if they never see him again and their last interaction was that awful fight? They try to keep a calm attitude in front of the twins, but their worry and pain and guilt causes them to fall ill
Kaneko and Moriko end up running over to the family friend, and granddaughter of Calaba, Helmi and bring her over to try to help their mother get better. She does what she can with the medicines she has but determines they'll only do so much because Nora's condition isn't caused by any illness going around, so she tries to get Nora to tell her what happened
Helmi eventually coaxes Nora into telling her what happened and learns about the fight they had and how Nora is so full of guilt and worry over it. After learning this Helmi gets her husband to go look for Ingo as he's likely not that far away, and after a day he returns with the warden
Ingo hasn't been doing the best either, looking very tired and seeming ashamed of staying away for so long. Helmi tells him about Nora and he immediately rushes to their side. This wakes Nora and when they see him, they start crying and almost cause them to get even worse in condition before Ingo reaches over and holds them while apologizing until they calm back down and eventually fall back asleep
Over the next couple days Nora's condition improved, and during that time Helmi told Ingo about how they believed their illness was caused from emotional stress and pain from the fight the two had and they needed to work out these issues or Nora would likely just fall sick again. She agreed to watch over the twins once Nora was well enough to be up and moving so the two could talk things out
This did happen finally and when it was just Nora and Ingo alone to talk, Nora immediately began to blame themself for everything happening but Ingo shut that down quickly and confessing his own guilt over the situation and how Nora was right and that he needed to be there for his family as much as he had to uphold his duty as warden, especially after working so hard to get them accepted into the clan so they could be together
After a long and emotional discussion, they finally worked out these issues and were able to make up and grow closer from this going forward

Last night when I went to bed, I had all kinds of weird feelings and thoughts, it was bizarre and slightly frightening, like looking at a Hieronymus Bosch painting.
I also had a dream of my first guinea pig, he had to be put to sleep due to a brain tumor, and I couldn't make an appointment to a vet and also couldn't afford to pay the vet bill.
I got up from my bed in the morning, took my morning meds, had a few cups of coffee, and didn't have a wash because it was already too late to take a shower, not to mention that the washing machine was on.
I took a bus to another town and made it to the support group. I had a good time there.
I talked to a person who was digging through his wallet, and later I noticed a wrinkly 20 euro bill lying on the floor where he had stood. I gave it back to him.
I took a bus downtown and went to clothing and jewelry shops.
I went back home and had coffee and snacks.
I left again, and took a train and a subway to another town and went to the library. I took part in a knitting group, and then I went to a couple of shops.
I took a bus back home. I could have taken a subway to downtown and then a train or a bus back home, but I was too tired.
Once back home I had supper, and then I took a shower and this time I didn't use conditioner.
I went to bed, and wondered why I couldn't get any sleep. Oh no, I had forgotten to take my evening meds.
Tomorrow I will go to a knitting group, and then to Kohtaus. I will also go to two museums.
On Wednesday, I will go to a music happening and then to a novel & knitting group, where I will read some novels by Rosa Liksom.
After that, I will go visit a couple of friends who live in the same town.
On Thursday, I will take a shower. I will go to a knitting group and then to Kohtaus.
On Friday, I will pay my Spotify Premium and order a ticket to a concert. I will buy thick woolly socks, mouthwash, and face wash gel. I will also buy some greeting cards.
The doctor from the psychiatric clinic will call me at 1 pm.
I will go to Helmi, there will be a cheese taste- testing group.
On Saturday, I will go to a wellness fair in my hometown. In the evening I will go watch the last episode Masked Singer.
On Sunday, I will go to the swimming pool.

Happy STS! If your characters were royalty what would their epithets be? (think like Queen Susan the Gentle from Chronicles of Narnia or Queen Margo the Destroyer and King Quentin the Moderately Socially Maladjusted from The Magicians)
So I've been sitting on this one for a while, because I was wracking my head trying to work out what people would call people as a title, but eventually, I realised the problem was with the cast I was looking at. And, its been quite a while since I touched on my Falguard Watch cast, so I'm gonna go for them.
First up, we have Camilia Suzette Dewfort. She has a few notable traits, like her adventurous nature and her positivity, but she also has an arm which is host to a parasitic plant. And lets face it, that's what people would talk about. So she'd probably end up being called "Queen Camilia the Verdant", even though she prefers to go by Suzette.
Next, there's Desanka Tumaini, the homeless thief, at least when we first meet her. A little tricky, because one assumes that wouldn't be the case if she were royalty, or if she was, nobody would honour her with an epithet. But its easy enough to just give her one, so she'd probably be "Desanka the Impoverished".
Then there's Helmi Vind-Ylande, who is tricky because she's a Brymir living in Veil. If she had an epithet in Brym, it'd be quite different to one she was given in Veil. In keeping with the others though, I'll go with Veil. So she'd probably be "Queen Helmi the Gentle". In Brym, it'd be something far less complimentary.
And lastly for this, Sofia Vestito. Now, I'm going to drop the royalty thing for her. She is a knight, and would have no desire to rule. Instead, she would devote herself to the service of whichever of the above was monarch. That being the case, she would be "Sofia the Steadfast". Unless Helmi was monarch, in which case she would be "Sofia the Devoted".
I actually had a lot of trouble with this one for some reason, but when I swapped over to this cast, it became a fair bit easier. Thanks for the ask, K!
